Possibly the most powerful sequence I have ever seen. It is amazing how 40 years after the song was composed, an entirely unrelated group of people add so much more to it with the telling of an unrelated story.

Any Roxy/ Bryan track instantly takes me bad to my childhood where my parents would blast it out in the car and house prior to going to see him in concert. Miss those days and love those memories

this song ... everything seemed much better when we were younger, more carefree, blasé about our time left, and the love we let slip through our fingers.
I met Mr. Ferry inside Maple Leaf Gardens arena, in Toronto, I was still in high school back then, perhaps around 1980, the Avalon tour. was fanatical about the band. I couldn’t believe my luck when I was given free tickets, free back stage passes and free all-facility passes. I brought the band a bottle of sake as a ‘thank you’ (not easy to smuggle in booze). The food offered back stage after the concert happened to be sushi (weird coincidence). I met McKay and Manzanera backstage and was quickly passed by Ferry, ignoring my request for an autograph. I chased him down some steps later, somewhere deep in the bowels of the gardens. I jumped in front of him and stopped him in his tracks, I said nothing, just handed him my RM book and a pen. I was determined to not to let this once-in-a-lifetime-chance slip by. He paused, looked at the book, then smirked and gladIy autographed the book.

The amazing Roxy sax accompaniment to Bryan’s quivering strength is sublime.

Thanks for uploading this. I only saw this movie for the first time today. I was also struck with the simplicity of this movie's gut-wrenching ending sequence. One of the best movie endings I've seen. I only say "one of.." so as to not be over-dramatic. At the moment, I can't think of another one I'd put ahead of it imho.

Appreciate the remarks in the description; without having watched the film, starring Daniel Craig, this track would have flown below my musical radar - despite the fact that I really do adore Bryan Ferry's work. I once heard Mr Ferry present a New Years Day radio show - he has possibly the nicest sounding speaking voice of any man I've ever heard. Such elegance and style matched with gravitas promotes a power in a graceful manner. A true gentleman...
