So I went ahead and said screw it, and ordered this same exact tuner with PCM swap today. I only have 6 months or so left of my warranty so I said screw it. I’ll definitely be watching this when I install my PCM and tuner.

i didnt want to worry about my warranty so i opted to install the EDGE PULSAR tonight. other than the tuner, all I have is a super 10 series single chamber muffler with duals and a drop in k&n filter in the airbox. so far ive had my '19 Hemi Ram 1500 Classic 4x4 for 1 year and love it.
I want this Diablo bad but don't want to worry about my warranty till it runs out, how are you liking the edge pulsar so far? leaning towards that to help smooth my ride out cause I have 37s on. also looking to add the pedal commander to I guess 🤔

BEAST Projects Steve I’m contemplating turning off the MDS once I get my Diablo tuner installed. Overall, is it better on the 5.7L engines to have the MDS off? 🤔
@@joestreetglider these Hemis down fuel without MDS. Keep it in 7th around town....this disables it. Then run with the 8 showing to get MDS. Simple as hell without getting ripped off 🤷♂️

Great video! Thank you both for the walkthrough. I have a 2020 Laramie and use it to tow a camper. Still learning more about these tunes and their abilities. I would like to give it a little more umph when towing...does this have the ability to change on the fly (from a standard tune to a tow tune)? Also have eTorque (unfortunately) and wondering if it works with that setup. Hope that makes sense.

Two questions, 1 - did you have to leave the diablo display tuner plugged in the whole time to the OBD port? or can you remove it and still have your tune functioning? And the other question is when you went to the dyno did you see HP gains like diablo claims? Thanks for your help.

I looked but could of miss the video saying why you took off the pulsar? Was there problems with it. Or you take off before this video just for it look like you was putting it on a stock truck? Great videos by the way. Great content.
So yesterday I installed the security by pass and well able to pull my stock tune file and got the message on my tuner saying Factory Data Retrieved. So far so good. Then I continue on with the process by disconnecting the battery and then removing the 2 connectors. Gray/silver on came off just fine. I go to do the tan/beige one and it wouldn’t come off. Tried to figure out why it wouldn’t come off and in the end the red latch that locks that connector in place ended up breaking off on both sides. The latch is still in one piece but both sides that were holding it on broke off. Now I have an appointment with my local dealership next week for them to fix that plus figure out why connector isn’t coming off at all. Talk about major frustration.

The Corsa exhaust sounds great. Would love to get that on my '19 Big Horn. However, I live in Jersey and also dont want to get pulled over and ticketed every time.

Have run Diablosport intune and custom tune on 2 GMC Sierras. Now i have a 2019 Ram 1500 and have been talking to a guy that tunes with hp tuners. Im still kinda leaning towards the Diablosport!!!!
Diablosport has alot of NA 11 seconds 1/4 trucks and 12 seconds 1/4 4 door rams too

You should get a custom tunes. I got mine from jay green at green racing. Night and day difference from stock. I got the pcm and tcm tunes as well.

Should install a trans cooler they keep that transmission cool especially after the trans tune

I just did the pcm swap and Diablo tune two days ago and then installed the custom tune yesterday, not going to say who, but I really can’t tell the difference from stock. I have an AFE Momentum GT intake and a cat back exhaust. I know there isn’t a big jump when tuning a N/A vehicle but I expected to feel something.
I guess I am spoiled coming from a tuned 2018 Raptor. It was a night and day difference between stock and tuned.
That's surprising... I had noticeable difference from stock vs Diablo tune vs HemiFever...
@@BEASTProjects I guess I spoke too soon. I took it out yesterday and it immediately felt like a different truck! It doesn’t feel like a race truck but it has a peppier, more crisp feel to it now.
I have no idea why it didn’t feel that way right after loading the tune but after sitting overnight it sure feels like a tuned truck now.

I have a 2020 rebel. I did the 91 preloaded tune and raised the speed limit and tire change. I cant clear my service traction light to go off now. 4wd works fine,cause of that winter storm we had. Still trying to het more info from Diablo.

Were you able to tune the TCM? I have a 2021 and although I can load the PCM tunes, it doesn't give any option for TCM and doesn't give me the backup TCM file to send to my tuner.
How does it compare to the edge pulsar you had? Might have to upgrade mine to this.
I like it better, full tuning always the better way to go if you can do it. You can definitely feel the power difference & it’s much smoother than the Pulsar.

Click down a gear "Bingo " no MDS run around town not letting it shift to 8th and it stays off. Go in 8th on the highway.
You still save all the fuel and you get rid of the sound when you want. Dont waste money on crappy tuners. Buy a mild cam , more power for a fraction of the cost

Gary Woodgate Diablo tuners are the absolute best, try one and you will see. I had a SRT Charger and it absolutely turned it in to a completely different car for the better, big time!!! Shifts were crisp, mpg improved, power band was so much improved. Just a way more precise vehicle. Trust me, Diablo is the best at this game.

Will this allow you to fully turn off the Traction and stability control?
I know I am late but in 4x4 high hold the traction button down for 10 seconds your truck will tell you esc turned off

A few months ago you installed an inline tuner on this same Rebel, right? I was wondering if you preferred this full swap vs the inline and if you prefer one over the other. Obviously one is more expensive than the other, but I'm wondering why you chose to do this install being that you already had the inline system?
My wife hates corsa and kinda likes some of the borla kits. Big fan of the deep rumble of a Flowmaster.

ran this + custom tune on my last truck, and deciding between this or pulsar (simpler to yank if i need warrenty service) -- does this actually disable MDS (vs just giving throttle to cancel it like the pulsar)?
It actually shuts down the MDS.

You should be able to do it without it. Just hold down the TC button until it's completely deactivated.

So you got rid of your Pulsar Tuner in favor of this system? Did you happen to have the dreaded issue a lot of us were having with the Pulsar where the dash would light up like a christmas tree and it would either go into limp mode or lose throttle control and it it would accelerate on its own. How are you liking this system now that you have had it for a few months? I am debating switching. Gone through two Pulsar units now and same issue. With the wife driving the truck it is always a concern so i removed it.
Got rid of it, too buggy w/ the 5th Gen Rams. Full tuning

So just installed this exact tune and followed your steps everything came out good except I got check engine light on and electronic stability control says it needs to be serviced. I checked the codes and says u0100 which is something to do with communication with the pcm? Any ideas on how to fix this?
Still running strong with the new local owner. That code is common after flashing the computer. Just clear it with the T2 & you're good to go,
Diablo website says u need to return Your Stock PCM to Them as a Core but in Your Video U mention Keeping Your Stock PCM in case u ever need to Reinstall it. So is It Required to Return Your Stock PCM to Diablosport as a Core Credit, or Can u Keep it and Just Not get Credit for it.?
Keep it that way u can have a extra ecu just in case

After watching the DiabloSport video and the Pulsar video what would you recommend Steve? I am not a hard core mod guy but really want my 2018 Ram to be a lot peppier. Anyone that has experience feel free to give your opinion as well.

@@strangeimpulse2003 pulsar dosent remove the speed governer so be ready to go fast than die out at 104 mph with the diablo tune you can do whatever speed u want helps alot on highway pulls

Maybe I missed something but why you have a catch can on a non-turbo
The catch can stops the oil blow-by from being recycled through the intake. You’ll be amazed in how much it collects between oil changes.
Okay so i just ordered a 2023 Ram Rebel 5.7 W/ Etorque....my question is SHOULD or SHOULD I NOT put a catch can on it? I know what it does but just getting into modding a truck and seeing it's my first time doing so I've done a lot of research on everything i wanna do with it. I'm aware of what catch can does and i wouldnt be so blind to think it adds HP it doesnt. I'm just not understanding the whole direct injection vs the other option just yet or lingo people say. So that's why I'm asking what others thoughts are.
My opinion I honestly don't think you need one on a 5.7 Hemi also if you live somewhere very cold just keep in mind that it's going to freeze in the winter time you have to keep an eye on it or remove.

What happened with the pulsar
Can you adjust the idle to slow it down?
Probably, but since some hemi engines are known to cause damage over time from idling too long due to lack of oil flow, I wouldn't recommend it. Id recommend raising the idle.
Why did you take the pulsar out? I don’t see a vid for it... I get you don’t want to stack it with this. But was something not ok with it?
Had some issues w/ it, so I pulled it. Edge sent us a new updated one, however I decided to go w/ full tuning for future plans w/ the build.
