    Thank you for the information here. I do breath work that includes breath holds. I also go on breath work walks, and hold my breath as I walk. I wondered if it was harmful, but I felt better doing it. Thank you for sharing how it is a beneficial part of your training.
    I use a Polar H10 heart rate monitor and Elite HRV app while meditating. My HRV improves with breath work. The positive feelings/sensations I experience correlate with higher HRV readings.

      That’s nice to hear that you have positive impressions and reactions if you’re doing breath work! Great! Keep going :)

    Did anyone catch the name of the relaxing breathing exercise she mentioned please? I think she said something like Coherence, unsure.

    I’ve done a 6 minute breath hold after doing several rapid reps on Wim Hoff. BUT that is not recommended anywhere near water!

      Really?😊

    • @CrueLoaf
      @CrueLoaf 3 місяці тому

      @@guruprasadchaudharya6024 yes! I lost all track of time. On Wim’s app he counts the breath hold time. 1 min 2 mins 3 mins and then he stopped counting! The app registered just over 6 mins!

    • @christingerstorfer6562
      @christingerstorfer6562 2 місяці тому

      Yes that’s because with the Wim Hoff Method you just hyperventilate to decrease the CO2 in your body which causes the urge to breath. But this means that you don’t feel it or feel it too late and oxygen levels can have dropped that much that you can black out (get unconcious). That’s why it is especially not recommended to do it in the water.

    I never been able to go beyond 1:30.

    • @christingerstorfer6562

      If you want to go beyond 1:30 min you should think about trying freediving and starting a Freediving course (like with me :)) there are simple and safe ways to learn to extend your breath hold and also achieve the mental and physical benefits 👍🏼

    At what point would you begin the outbreath please? Is it dangerous to go to early?

    • @christingerstorfer6562
      @christingerstorfer6562 2 місяці тому

      Do you mean when you are diving deep? If you are diving to depth you should not let air out of your airways before you reach to surface (different for scuba divers they should exhale!). Because we as freedivers need as much air or oxygen as possible and as our lungs normally collapses and expands again we can just exhale on the surface after our dive :)

      Thanks. Thought I should double check. I guess it’s harder to swim down with full lungs but very welcome buoyancy as you come back up.
