These are actually very good tips... for crews. Unfortunately it doesn't address the glitches that screws over solo sloopers. Just yesterday I sunk due to fps freezing. Thanks Rare!

I have watched a LOT of PvP guides recently (mostly curiosity of what people think is important) and there's a lot of stuff that people get wrong. You're honestly spot on with pretty much everything you covered, there wasn't anything that I disagreed with and you covered a bunch of the stuff that people outside of comp often forget. really good job with this, very well done
Love the video, I mostly sail solo or duo sloops. I learnt a lot from this video and will definitely be using some of these tips in the new season 8 PVP.

What is a lootstack? I only know the bottom of the sea. Its nice there. The crabs singing songs and nice shark who will cuddle with there teeth.
I think it's the best informative video out there for sloopers who want to become good for real.
I would love to see a Video like this for both the Brigantine and Galleon as well. Far harder to handle, but also interesting to see. Great work, keep it up!

It just takes practice and don’t forget that everyone sinks. Just learn from each fight and you’ll continue to get better.

If you got'em I recommend either of the Forsaken Ashes cannons, they have a more narrow neck allowing a bit more visibility while having one of the closest things to a iron sight on the lip of the cannon. It just takes some practice getting use to where it points as to where the cannonball goes, the subtle glow the ends give off can also help slightly at aiming it in low light combat.

Squirrel cannons are bought. But, very good for the range rings and the spikes that mark the center.
Plus, they're squirrel-themed! Can't go wrong with squirrels! XD

7:25 i absolutely love getting harpooned in a battle by the enemy as it almost always gives me the win.. unless i'm solo that is, then i might sink if i have holes. and there is a little tip that i have when in the death spiral, you can get a cannon row boat on your ship that way the helm can also shoot and then it's a matter of seconds before the ship sinks.
Me and my friend have just been struggling with pvp even when we have the upper hand. So i will definitely try these tips out. Thank you!

On tip 6 I can add, that you dont have to spend much time repairing a mast if you catch it. So you can make catching a mast a priority, because it doesn't take much time, especially when you have a teammate who can fire cannons at the enemy while you catch the mast.
Having a mast up is also good, because it can serve as a distraction, especially when enemy crew isn't particularly experienced, they may try to knock your mast down over and over, which means that they aren't making any holes in your ship. And you can just keep catching the mast without actually repairing it.
What's also important about masts is that chainshot one shots them on brigs and galleons, but only makes 2 hits on a sloop. This means that its not worth to repair masts with more than one plank mid-fight if you are sailing a brig or a galleon, because one chainshot will knock the mast no matter what. This also probably true for sloops, it just takes too much time.

General quality of life tip: storage crates make looting your opponents barrels after they sink way easier. Always recommend dping this if you have the chance too, because you can really stay topped up on resources

Thanks for sharing this, I will try to use these tips to get better, even with the bigger ships too, as I'm usually with 3 other people playing. And I love the thinner cannons, I do better with them (still terrible shot but I want to get better at it). I got the Eternal Freedom ones and my friend just drools all over them because they are thin. My other friend likes her thick ones and I just can't hit anything with them. lol

You missed the most important Sloop tip. Always keep your enemy on the port side (left side) of your ship since sloops have on less hole on the left side of the hull meaning you take less ship damage and have less holes to worry about when repairing.

Another tip I use is to not only use chainshots on the sails, but also on the wheel and capstan to farther immobilize them
