Great video Kraken!! You got a new subscriber In me. And Phuzzy, you are not only truly a world class pirate, but a world class human being. You are not just my favorite SoT streamer but also my 7 yr old daughters favorite, and your videos are kid friendly and wholesome. I know I should post this on your channel, but I saw your comment on kraken's video and saw an opportunity to let you know.... keep up the great work you two!!
These are actually very good tips... for crews. Unfortunately it doesn't address the glitches that screws over solo sloopers. Just yesterday I sunk due to fps freezing. Thanks Rare!
I watched a lot of SoT guides and consider this one the best of all of them! It perfectly covers a lot of sides of the game, short, usefull and with great background video. Enjoyed every tip, even if I've already new it. Thank you for this video, it's a must-watch in new season
I have watched a LOT of PvP guides recently (mostly curiosity of what people think is important) and there's a lot of stuff that people get wrong. You're honestly spot on with pretty much everything you covered, there wasn't anything that I disagreed with and you covered a bunch of the stuff that people outside of comp often forget. really good job with this, very well done
Nice video, I'm a new player who is straight terrified of PvP and after watching this video I feel a little more confident and safer out there on the seas 😊🙏
Thank you, we have been struggling with my friend with the PVP side as neither of us enjoy the PVP matches. So both of us are coming from PVE side. Thank you for taking the time and making the guide!
Another awesome video, Kraken! Tips and tricks are always helpful for those of us that don't sail as often any more. It's so nice to get a refresher on all the things that slip my mind getting back into the game. Thanks
Love the video, I mostly sail solo or duo sloops. I learnt a lot from this video and will definitely be using some of these tips in the new season 8 PVP.
I would love to see a Video like this for both the Brigantine and Galleon as well. Far harder to handle, but also interesting to see. Great work, keep it up!
been on the sea of thieves hype for the last 2 weeks again and stumbled across this video. Just wanted to say this is one of the best, most straight forward and easy to understand videos ive watched in years. really good work! you earned my subscription easily!
7:25 i absolutely love getting harpooned in a battle by the enemy as it almost always gives me the win.. unless i'm solo that is, then i might sink if i have holes. and there is a little tip that i have when in the death spiral, you can get a cannon row boat on your ship that way the helm can also shoot and then it's a matter of seconds before the ship sinks.
Thank you for all the great tips! My husband and I are trying to get better at sailing together and at avoiding the panicked meltdowns. A CAPSTAN would be a great addition to our boat :)
This is exactly what kind of video I have been looking for! Most videos are just shoot in this direction when turning this way and that way and never really going into why you wanna turn into a specific way and when, great video!
On tip 6 I can add, that you dont have to spend much time repairing a mast if you catch it. So you can make catching a mast a priority, because it doesn't take much time, especially when you have a teammate who can fire cannons at the enemy while you catch the mast. Having a mast up is also good, because it can serve as a distraction, especially when enemy crew isn't particularly experienced, they may try to knock your mast down over and over, which means that they aren't making any holes in your ship. And you can just keep catching the mast without actually repairing it. What's also important about masts is that chainshot one shots them on brigs and galleons, but only makes 2 hits on a sloop. This means that its not worth to repair masts with more than one plank mid-fight if you are sailing a brig or a galleon, because one chainshot will knock the mast no matter what. This also probably true for sloops, it just takes too much time.
General quality of life tip: storage crates make looting your opponents barrels after they sink way easier. Always recommend dping this if you have the chance too, because you can really stay topped up on resources
A fine CAPSTAN is that Obsidian Capstan. Kraken what can I say, you are constantly putting valuable content out for the community! Love all you do for the SoT family, much love!
This is a wonderful video, hopefully it'll help us in the new season. (also, CAPSTAN) - I can't believe I wasn't following you already, my partner watches you all the time and we tend to share our subs.
You missed the most important Sloop tip. Always keep your enemy on the port side (left side) of your ship since sloops have on less hole on the left side of the hull meaning you take less ship damage and have less holes to worry about when repairing.
My friends and I have been trying to improve in pvp and after watching this vid, I’m seeing all the things we should be doing vs what we have been doing! 😅
Also keeping your ressources in barrels does not keep them from the enemy. But it is certainly a good idea. I would argue its also a good idea to both keep stuff in storage crates and in the barrels, because if you get boarded and they grab a storage crate and empty all of your wood... well, there is not much you can do after that if you run away with all of your wood. But if you have a storage crate, or the wood crate you keep by the rudder, then you are still not in too much trouble. But that is a tip I would recommend, if you board an enemy ship, try to steal their wood. Of course focus first on staying alive, maybe killing their crew, but if you got aboard unnoticed, the fast win could be gotten from taking away their wood supplies and drop the storage crate in the water after. If I manage to kill the crew, I find the best way to spend the few seconds there are before they respawn, if they have a storage crate, is to steal that wood. Then if they do not already have holes, try to sail them into something, and then try to keep killing them to keep them from using buckets.
This is brilliant! I love playing Sea Of Thieves and some of these tips are awesome! Totally never occurred to me to use the cannon rowboat as a separate cannon
I'm jealous of the fluidity in the gameplay you display at high settings. I can't bring myself to turn down the settings when I play the game with the GPU that I have. Love the content and the info that you provide to us as well plus, the entertainment! :)
Ty, young hero, I think it's called "crossing the T" when you maneuver to position your broadside perpendicular to the enemy ship's bow. Lord Admiral Nelson used it against the froggy French.😜
Tip #21 when fighting a galleon if you aim for the lowest deck it makes it easier to sink them because it's harder to get all the way down there to repair those
As a Solo-Sloop, I always carry a keg, for special occasions. It’s the best way to lose that Brigantine that has been tailing you. But yes, it’s a risk and I’ll dump it off my ship asp when necessary. But any non Solo Sloop probably shouldn’t take the risk.
Kegs are fun to kamikaze skeleton ships. We’ll keep ‘em in the crows nest, harpoon the ship and then detach and pull away as someone drops down with the keg. One time I did that to a player and he just stopped and froze while stared at the fuse and I was like “happy birthday mother fucker”. God I love this game
Thanks for sharing this, I will try to use these tips to get better, even with the bigger ships too, as I'm usually with 3 other people playing. And I love the thinner cannons, I do better with them (still terrible shot but I want to get better at it). I got the Eternal Freedom ones and my friend just drools all over them because they are thin. My other friend likes her thick ones and I just can't hit anything with them. lol
Thank you SO much! This is such a great video. Very intuitive, and easy to follow. 👍🏻 Do you stream on Twitch? I’d love to check out your stream if you do. 🏴☠️
In tip 13, you said not to carry kegs, but what if you only have them or pick them up when in PvP? Me and my friend, usually when getting chased by another ship or when chasing another ship, will often try to grab a keg or two on the way to it, firing off at an island or fort and sailing by to pick each other back up with the keg, to then use it on the enemy ship :') That or grabbing one and getting ahead of the enemy, then using it as they chase behind :') Is that more ok to do, or is that still not a good idea?
This is a very finely crafted video. Thank you
Means the world coming from the master of guides himself!
Great video Kraken!! You got a new subscriber In me. And Phuzzy, you are not only truly a world class pirate, but a world class human being. wassup Phuzzy

love you phuzzy!
Kraken: it’s the smallest ship in the game
Cliff the story guy: challenge accepted
ROWBOAT TIME!
"BuT tAkInG tHe KeGs MeAnS mOaR gOlD"
xD they sell for like 100 gold, so not worth it haha
I need 50 Athena kegs to unlock the Ghost wheel 😭
@@jCHASEm87 good luck
@@jCHASEm87 row boat keg strat
I’d feel horrible telling my friends that love kegs with a passion this, because I refuse to PVP with them
What is a lootstack? I only know the bottom of the sea. Its nice there. The crabs singing songs and nice shark who will cuddle with there teeth.
UNDA DA SEA 🎶🎶🦀

Aww thank you dude this means so much! Glad to hear it helped!
I think it's the best informative video out there for sloopers who want to become good for real.

Thank you, we have been struggling with my friend with the PVP side as neither of us enjoy the PVP matches. So both of us are coming from PVE side. Thank you for taking the time and making the guide!
It just takes practice and don’t forget that everyone sinks. Just learn from each fight and you’ll continue to get better.

Hell yeah glad to hear it dude!! Glad it helped!
so what do i do if it's just me
run away
quit the game
All of it
You on Xbox brother?
I'm new and have no crew nor friends
I would love to see a Video like this for both the Brigantine and Galleon as well. Far harder to handle, but also interesting to see. Great work, keep it up!
Thank you dude I appreciate the suggestion! I definitely know the most about sloop but can see if I can do a similar vid for gallys and brigs!
been on the sea of thieves hype for the last 2 weeks again and stumbled across this video. Just wanted to say this is one of the best, most straight forward and easy to understand videos ive watched in years. really good work! you earned my subscription easily!
Agreed!
These tips and tricks were a massive help. I’m usually solo so I appreciate the help!
Super glad it helped!!

Great video! Simple and to the point and has some tips not even I knew with nearly 2K hours 😅
Thank you so much!! Glad it helped a lil 😃
CAPSTAN
Been playing since launch and I had no clue that sails affected the stability of cannon angles. Much appreciated.
This is an awesome video. Definitely struggle with solo slooping. Thank you for the tips
Omg solo slooping can be insanely hard haha. Glad this vid helped! 💜
Thank you for all the great tips! My husband and I are trying to get better at sailing together and at avoiding the panicked meltdowns. A CAPSTAN would be a great addition to our boat :)
Easily the best PvP tips video I’ve seen. Such clear explanations of what to do or prioritize and why.
Thank you so much!! 💜
1:09 Yep, that's me. You are probably wondering how I ended up in this situiation....
This is exactly what kind of video I have been looking for!

I solo sloop, and this helped a lot, I wasn’t aware that there is a point of the mast that is better to hit than another, this helped a lot, thanks
Great video. I wish i watched this one before the ps5 beta. But im trying to soak as much as I can before release day. Appreciate the tips
You're very welcome!! At least you'll be ready when the game fully launches 😃
"Step 1 chemistry & communication" Ah well that's the problem, I don't have anyone to communicate with!
Thanks for the tips, I mostly sail sloop and these gave me new perspectives I didn't see, thank you
Idk why I haven't heard anyone give the steer with the sails tip b4! Game changer, thank you!
Me and my friend have just been struggling with pvp even when we have the upper hand. So i will definitely try these tips out. Thank you!
Best video for advice on PVP for SOT, its definitely helped my pvp skills get better :D
Another tip I use is to not only use chainshots on the sails, but also on the wheel and capstan to farther immobilize them
This is a wonderful video, hopefully it'll help us in the new season.
(also, CAPSTAN) - I can't believe I wasn't following you already, my partner watches you all the time and we tend to share our subs.
Great video guide - really helped me scrape the barnacles off and get back into things after I came back to SoT after a couple of years out!
Thank you!! Welcome back to the seas! 💜

Aww hell yeah glad it helped!
I absolutely love this Kraken!!! Helped my wife and I tremendously!!
This tips video did a ton for my sloop pvp skills. Thanks so much.
CAPSTAN you guys make the vibes so amazing!! thx for the feels!
Awesome video!! Those tips have helped me a lot!😊
Thank you so much!! Glad it helped💜
What sails are those in 0:19 and are they still obtainable
You gotta buy the role playing game
Great guide, love how you used your pirate to explain everything! capstan :)
Also keeping your ressources in barrels does not keep them from the enemy. But it is certainly a good idea. Yeah when I posted the vid this was before your supplies float up after a fight but defo it doesn't matter now !
CAPSTAN love the vid i've always had trouble with sloop hopefully this will change my outcome!
Love all the information, as a solo slooper I'm always looking for different ways to improve
This is brilliant! I love playing Sea Of Thieves and some of these tips are awesome! Totally never occurred to me to use the cannon rowboat as a separate cannon
Oh I looove a cannon rowboat haha it's super fun!
Your voice is so perfect I thought it was an AI reading at first 😁
15:22 My wheel! 😵
1:09 great explanation, will take note of that. 😂
I love your streams and videos, the capstan would be a lovely addition to my boat!
Love yer vids Kraken! Keep them coming! btw, love the capstan
Kraken these are very good tips for how to work together for a sloop!!!
I'm jealous of the fluidity in the gameplay you display at high settings. I can't bring myself to turn down the settings when I play the game with the GPU that I have. Love the content and the info that you provide to us as well plus, the entertainment! :)

Thank you made me and my friend get a 12 win streak and get 86 in service of the flame THANK YOU
Why have I never thought of using the cannon on the rowboat when its on the back of the ship, thats brilliant 😮
CAPSTAN, love your videos and streams! Love the positivity
Thanks so much Kraken I'll definitely improve with the tips you have given awesome vid catch you soon next stream 😎👍
Hell yeah I'm so glad it helped!
Perfect Guide ! Just need a good CAPSTAN to master the sloop now.
this helped alot in start of season 8 since i sloop alot!! much love!!
an amazing Tutorial with lots of good to know details and well explained. Well done Kraken and appreciate it so much!
I am actually learning something from this and will def try these tips when i start to pvp
Nice tips. I'm not much of a PvP-er but I'll try to keep them in mind.
Great Info and superb editing!!!
Thank you for the tips and tricks Kraken
Capstan! Love the Streams Kraken - always a vibe!!
I enjoyed this video so much it was a pleasure lol; and I learned a lot! Cheers!
Can you do one for each ship?! :)
Awesome tips. Thanks for the informative guide. Capstan!
you're a legend kraken, keep up the great work
Being one of your victims, I can only listen to every single advise you give to get better, great video and great skills :)
im so glad that we get to see the bottom part of the reaper area. I love this update!
I keep everything in bottom barrels because resupplies send them there anyway. So saves time reorganizing if i end up needing a resupply
Tip #21 when fighting a galleon if you aim for the lowest deck it makes it easier to sink them because it's harder to get all the way down there to repair those
A valid strategy! 😄
Love the video, as i am a solo slooper I'm looking for different ways to improve. CAPSTAN
very nice video got my sub and very helpful as a new SOT player
Thanks for the info, im mainly a solo slooper so this was very useful for me, thank you
You are very welcome!
I love your energy and love all you do! Keep it up! You and serpz are absolutly adorable as well
Nice!.. my boy and I need these tips..couple noobs always getting attacked, win some loose most😅
The queen of chains herself
Excellent Guide Kraken!
also, CAPSTAN ;)
Excellent video! Thanks so much!
God I love this game
hahaha keg plays are funny 🤣
When you demonstrated how not to communicate while in a fight i almost spit out my coffee 😂
Thank you for the informative and well made vid! Also, CAPSTAN!
Thank you for the video!!!
Thanks for sharing this, I will try to use these tips to get better, even with the bigger ships too, as I'm usually with 3 other people playing. What's the figureheads in the very beginning of the video?
Thanks a lot, as a solo player This helps alot
Thank you for the tips happykraken
Thank you SO much! This is such a great video. Very intuitive, and easy to follow. 👍🏻
Do you stream on Twitch? I’d love to check out your stream if you do. 🏴☠️
i just started playing again! thank you for the helpful video!
Very informative video in helping to manage a sloop.
Great vid helped me change somethings I was doing wrong 🤘
Really I use the bottom barrels for the good stuff 😊
Each to their own! As long as you remember which barrel to go in you're good 😄
Amazing tutorial! Got any tips for figuring out what angle to fire your canons? I always have trouble figuring where my canon balls will land.
you basically just play more
Is there any reason for two people to use a brig or a galleon over a sloop?
In tip 13, you said not to carry kegs, but what if you only have them or pick them up when in PvP?
Me and my friend, usually when getting chased by another ship or when chasing another ship, will often try to grab a keg or two on the way to it, firing off at an island or fort and sailing by to pick each other back up with the keg, to then use it on the enemy ship :')
That or grabbing one and getting ahead of the enemy, then using it as they chase behind :')
Is that more ok to do, or is that still not a good idea?
Damn This is the best.. Keep up the good work!
