This is an AWESOME video! I would love to do this to my 2003 K1200GT, but luckily it works great and I do not yet have to go through these extremes to repair it. That being said, I do have a very slow transmission fluid leak, and I noticed this after seeing a single drop on my garage floor coming from the boot between the swingarm and gearbox. I have checked the level of the transmission fluid and it was about 150mL low and I filled it back up. I believe that the trans fluid is pooling in the boot and swingarm, and I am pretty sure that about 150 mL will spill out when I remove the swingarm to replace the transmission output shaft seal this weekend. Wow!!! Excellent work.
Thank you, I hope to share the a new video soon in this build. I've changed everything I could change just to be sure in the future. Way easier attacking this when it's all in pieces 👌🏼👍🏼
Im still watching this as constant inspiration for this k100 of mine .ready to disassemble the block itself .ive noticed in the bikes history the cylinder head has been replace .no idea why ,i found the oil in the engine emulsified .seens worse at the pump itself .pump failure possible cause .but while its stripped .the cylinder head comming off seems a good plan for inspection
Love the tungsten color! Just ordered graphite black for mine, but I can see I should have order tungsten instead😅Maybe for the next project. Cannot wait to see this bike done.
The tungsten looks great, even looks better in person! But on the other hand I've used loads of graphite black also and gives a nice and subtle look, so can't go wrong on that either. Hope to share new content soon, only thing that my external HD fell on the ground with all the videos on it..... So need to get that recovered soon. Bummer
I saw your previous builds with the graphite black and decided to chose that as well, due to the subtlety as you said. I am sorry to hear regarding the camera, I hope it is not too bad and you did not lose too much footage
@krede7242 Right on! Yes nice and subtle 👌🏼With a little bit of luck they can save all the footage, but it will take some weeks, but in the meantime I can continue on the build just fine
Another excellent video. That colour is exceptionally beautiful! Can you give an estimate on the associated cost for the replacement parts used for this rebuild?
giving lots of inspiration for a k1200rs project I may begin- been sitting for a long time- trying to decide between major overhaul/refresh similar to this, or just refresh fluids filters and see if it works. But probably Worth the effort to give it a full new life i would bet- but a huge endeavor. Any Manuals recommended? Clutch centering tool?
That's awesome to hear, go for it! A clutch centring tool is much recommended and if you'll send me a email to cornercustom at hotmail.com I can send you the manual
Fantastic work, this gets me excited about my build. You sent the small parts out to get blasted but what about the engine block? Did you just clean it up, sand it, and spray it or did you get that blasted as well?
need to know more about you my friend, how did you get to where you are now? self taught/ study etc. I am hoping to be able to do this sort of work in the future.
Looks just like mine! im missing all the side fairings but my engine is nice and clean so i dont have to do this baloney, although this looks way nicer. Are you going to restore the bike or make it custom? Ive removed the abs and am in the process of rewiring the abs system so that it doesnt bitch at you about it. It would be cool to see a video on the abs system if you decide to go completely custom on it!
Ok sounds great man 👍🏼 I'll build it to a bobber, so keeping it clean and minimalistic. Also planning on deleting the ABS, but still need to dive into that. Did you ran into problems so far with the ABS delete?
@@corner.custom you have to redo the hardline sections of the brakes and modify the bracket on the front so you can connect one side to the master cylinder and one side to the brakes. on the rear you need a longer brake hose (atleast on mine i did). the brakes will work that way but the bike will freak out on you untill you trick the abs system into thinking its ok. you must wire in some relays like the guy in this video explains ua-cam.com/video/JVdAx3Xwr7w/v-deo.html.
@@corner.custom Dont do what that guy did, just take the computer off of the abs module and cover the exposed bits when you put it back on the bike. It is needed for the speedometer to work. I still havent found a way to get the lights to stop but thats the next guys problem. Hope things are goin smooth with the build!
Hello, I watch your videos on UA-cam. I will buy a torque wrench for the K1100lt motorcycle engine. 20-120 N.M Will an adjustable torque wrench be enough or should I buy 25-220?
Who watched the whole video and is exited for 4 wheel BMW content?
Meee! Nice job dude! I've mine dissasambled and waiting for parts. You're a ource of inspiration for me
@sufletdemotociclist7014 Ok perfect man, great to hear 👍🏼. What are your plans for your build?
5.1.24. 💁🏻♂️”4 Wheels good … 2 WHEELS better”©️
The cleanest mechanic shop and mechanic I have ever seen … wow… you are very clean and very neat … very professional… I am a subscriber now.
Thank you buddy, currently working on the last build video, bikes done! Thanks for the sub and welcome to the club 😁👏🏻
I dont have any work to do on mine yet but I know where to look if I do. Love how you documented this. Thank you dude! Youre the beat!
Thanks man, comments like are really appreciated 👏🏻 👍🏼

Again very informative and brilliant video .going to be using all these 👍🏴
Thanks for the feedback. I hope to share a new episode soon because I want to have this build finished this month!

Great to hear that the videos also serve as an inspiration and motivation to attack the own builds. Good luck with yours 👍🏼
Der Künstler hat schon wieder zugeschlagen😉!
Excellent 👍
Haha danke👍🏼 Noch viel Arbeit vor uns
Espectacular trabajo! Como siempre un saludo desde España!
Muchas gracias amigo!
Loved it! Great work like usual 👍🏼
Thanks man 🤙🏼
This guy is a genius!!!
Thanks man, doing my best!

@krede7242 Thanks 🤙🏼
thanks. I have a 96 r1100rt and am wanting to do this to it.
Will definitely transform the looks of your bike to the new millenn😎👌🏼
Clean job 😀
Thanks 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Prachtig werk man,ook geweldige editing!
I really like that color. Tempts me to tear down my K1200 and do the same.
Yes go for it man, nice to have a break from the norm, black. Looks OEM 👌🏼👍🏼
Great work!!
Thanks🤙🏼👍🏼

Costs are around € 500 for parts and Cerakote

Great content.
Thanks! Hope to share new content soon!
where does everyone gets these awesome plastic intake covers!
These are 3D printed plates, got them from a buddy. Nothing fancy, but a must have IMHO for this stage
Fantastic work, this gets me excited about my build. You sent the small parts out to get blasted but what about the engine block? Did you just clean it up, sand it, and spray it or did you get that blasted as well?
Great to hear 👍🏼 You should check out the previous episode, in that video I cleaned the engine and go into the cleaning methods
Hey man, what does it mean to get everything “blasted”?
Prep the parts for paint by blasting it with aluminum oxide
need to know more about you my friend, how did you get to where you are now? self taught/ study etc. I am hoping to be able to do this sort of work in the future.
Just self taught, learning by doing. Just check out my older videos and then you'll see the progress

Ok thanks for sharing the info. Yes I'll redo all the brakelines, but didn't knew that part of tricking the wiring yet 👍🏼

I'm planning on deleting the whole K12 wiringloom and use a K11 wiringloom. That has been done before and then I'll use an aftermarket speedo as well
Thanks 👍🏼👌🏼
Bro I wish you lived in the USA. I would love to pay you to do this to my bike.
It's a handful to do it like this, but the end result is well worth it 👊🏼👍🏼
Hello, I watch your videos on UA-cam. I will buy a torque wrench for the K1100lt motorcycle engine.

I would go for the 25-220. Better buy it right the first time, could be useful for other tasks in the future
Hope F20 is diesel one. 😅
No it isn't! Why 🫢?

That's one sexy package!
Sure is 😍😍👍🏼
Just another great content channel ruined by the background music.
