    This is an AWESOME video! I would love to do this to my 2003 K1200GT, but luckily it works great and I do not yet have to go through these extremes to repair it. That being said, I do have a very slow transmission fluid leak, and I noticed this after seeing a single drop on my garage floor coming from the boot between the swingarm and gearbox. I have checked the level of the transmission fluid and it was about 150mL low and I filled it back up. I believe that the trans fluid is pooling in the boot and swingarm, and I am pretty sure that about 150 mL will spill out when I remove the swingarm to replace the transmission output shaft seal this weekend. Wow!!! Excellent work.

      Thank you, I hope to share the a new video soon in this build. I've changed everything I could change just to be sure in the future. Way easier attacking this when it's all in pieces 👌🏼👍🏼

    Im still watching this as constant inspiration for this k100 of mine .ready to disassemble the block itself .ive noticed in the bikes history the cylinder head has been replace .no idea why ,i found the oil in the engine emulsified .seens worse at the pump itself .pump failure possible cause .but while its stripped .the cylinder head comming off seems a good plan for inspection

    Love the tungsten color! Just ordered graphite black for mine, but I can see I should have order tungsten instead😅Maybe for the next project. Cannot wait to see this bike done.

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  10 місяців тому

      The tungsten looks great, even looks better in person! But on the other hand I've used loads of graphite black also and gives a nice and subtle look, so can't go wrong on that either. Hope to share new content soon, only thing that my external HD fell on the ground with all the videos on it..... So need to get that recovered soon. Bummer

    • @krede7242
      @krede7242 10 місяців тому +1

      I saw your previous builds with the graphite black and decided to chose that as well, due to the subtlety as you said. I am sorry to hear regarding the camera, I hope it is not too bad and you did not lose too much footage

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  10 місяців тому

      @krede7242 Right on! Yes nice and subtle 👌🏼With a little bit of luck they can save all the footage, but it will take some weeks, but in the meantime I can continue on the build just fine

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  11 місяців тому

      Ja het grijze is wel eens leuk voor de verandering, ook omdat het frame al zwart is geeft het wat meer contrast.
      Ok cool, origineel of zelf ook mee aan de slag geweest?

    • @donpedro04
      @donpedro04 11 місяців тому +1

      bij mij nog alles origineel, ik mis helaas plaats en ruimte maar vooral uw kennis, talent en bekwaamheid om zulke mooie motoren te maken.

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  11 місяців тому +1

      @donpedro04 Zeker raadzaam en een ruimte te hebben die je specifiek voor de motor kunt gebruiken om zo ook het overzicht te houden. Talent heb ik niet, heb vooral geleerd door het te doen en te leren van de fouten. Mijn eerste build was zeker niet gelijk aan mijn huidige build, stap voor stap 👌🏼

    giving lots of inspiration for a k1200rs project I may begin- been sitting for a long time- trying to decide between major overhaul/refresh similar to this, or just refresh fluids filters and see if it works. But probably Worth the effort to give it a full new life i would bet- but a huge endeavor. Any Manuals recommended? Clutch centering tool?

    • @corner.custom

    Fantastic work, this gets me excited about my build. You sent the small parts out to get blasted but what about the engine block? Did you just clean it up, sand it, and spray it or did you get that blasted as well?

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  11 місяців тому +1

      Prep the parts for paint by blasting it with aluminum oxide

    Looks just like mine! im missing all the side fairings but my engine is nice and clean so i dont have to do this baloney, although this looks way nicer. Are you going to restore the bike or make it custom? Ive removed the abs and am in the process of rewiring the abs system so that it doesnt bitch at you about it. It would be cool to see a video on the abs system if you decide to go completely custom on it!

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  11 місяців тому

      Ok sounds great man 👍🏼 I'll build it to a bobber, so keeping it clean and minimalistic. Also planning on deleting the ABS, but still need to dive into that. Did you ran into problems so far with the ABS delete?

    • @CCGORE
      @CCGORE 11 місяців тому +1

      @@corner.custom you have to redo the hardline sections of the brakes and modify the bracket on the front so you can connect one side to the master cylinder and one side to the brakes. on the rear you need a longer brake hose (atleast on mine i did). the brakes will work that way but the bike will freak out on you untill you trick the abs system into thinking its ok. you must wire in some relays like the guy in this video explains
      ua-cam.com/video/JVdAx3Xwr7w/v-deo.html.

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  11 місяців тому

      Ok thanks for sharing the info. Yes I'll redo all the brakelines, but didn't knew that part of tricking the wiring yet 👍🏼

    • @CCGORE
      @CCGORE 9 місяців тому +1

      @@corner.custom Dont do what that guy did, just take the computer off of the abs module and cover the exposed bits when you put it back on the bike. It is needed for the speedometer to work. I still havent found a way to get the lights to stop but thats the next guys problem. Hope things are goin smooth with the build!

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  9 місяців тому

      I'm planning on deleting the whole K12 wiringloom and use a K11 wiringloom. That has been done before and then I'll use an aftermarket speedo as well

    Hello, I watch your videos on UA-cam. I will buy a torque wrench for the K1100lt motorcycle engine.
    20-120 N.M Will an adjustable torque wrench be enough or should I buy 25-220?

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  6 місяців тому

      I would go for the 25-220. Better buy it right the first time, could be useful for other tasks in the future

    Ik heb de williams uitvoering van 2003. Nu heeft mijn abs pomp kuren. Achterrem werkt niet. Levensgevaarlijk dat bmw zo iets onbetrouwbaars gemonteerd heeft. En dat in 2003! Ik bedoel eea stond natuurlijk niet nog in de kinderschoenen. Nu denk ik dat hele systeem af te koppelen. Pomp nieuw is onbetaalbaar en blijft onbetrouwbaar. Wat is uw advies. 😢

    • @corner.custom
      @corner.custom  7 місяців тому

      Tsja ben er ook geen fan van, daarom haal ik ook alles eraf en zet ik er een K11 kabelboom op. In mijn situatie denk ik wat makkelijker dan voor jou met een originele/beperkte oplage. Je zou Kpartsholland.com kunnen benaderen om te horen of zij een vervangend systeem hebben
