- It's a First Look at the new Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup for 2023. The S23 Ultra looks incredible, with its improved camera and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip for even better performance. I also got to check out their new high-end laptop, the Galaxy Book3 Ultra and the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360!

Brian, I have watched at least a dozen "First Look" videos on UA-cam and you are the first to bring up 8GB or 12GB Ram with each Ultra model. It's important to me as I like to know all specs on each model. Even on the Samsung website, it states 8GB or 12GB but, not which one gets what. Thank you very much for being complete in such a short order.
Not gonna lie, as an iPhone 14 Pro Max and 16" M1 Pro guy, these seem great--even if I was never sold on the S22U and S23U arachnoid look! I'm happy Samsung's bringing their A game, even if I'm not tempted ... yet, being in the Apple ecosystem. Samsung is taking a lesson or two from Apple's rule book: incremental improvements; perfect what's close to "perfect". I'm happy for the Samsung's of the world. Keep Apple from resting on its laurels. So, in that respect: Go, Samsung! The Book3 Ultra is a step in the right direction. Their Book 2 lineup, as a once Note20U user, is what made me switch back to Apple. In the years ahead, I'm keeping my options open, Samsung. Keep innovating!

I'm hoping to get either the 512GB or 1TB Galaxy S23 Ultra in the next month or so. I love my 512GB Galaxy S21 Ultra. But while it's fully compatible with the S-Pen it doesn't have a built-in storage spot for the S-Pen. And I use the S-Pen a lot. Or I did. I keep losing the S-Pen because I can't carry it easily with the phone. It's such a hassle not having the S-Pen port. And the reason it doesn't have the port is that back is because, in 2021, the S21 Ultra ended up replacing the Galaxy Note at the last minute.
So they couldn't redesign the phone in time since it had to go into mass production for its February launch date. The S22 Ultra solved this issue. But the S22 was too small of an update to the S21 to make it worthwhile for me to upgrade. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was only very slightly more powerful than the Snapdragon 888. (Partly because the 8 Gen 1 was really just an 888 with refinement and used the same design.)
But the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a huge jump up and has the most powerful GPU of any mobile phone chip to date. Plus the camera will offer enough of an upgrade over the S21 Ultra. The S22 Ultra has the same camera as the S21 Ultra, so again it wasn't worth upgrading to the S22 for me.

That camera destroys every iPhone out there but tech reviewers won't say it outright.
I cannot understand why computer laptop manufacturers give us a MicroSD slot (Galaxy Book3 Ultra) instead of the full SD slot (Apple). Almost everyone I know uses the full SD slot.
Is it hdmi 2.1 on the book ultra?
Is it good to upgrade from ROG Phone 2 to S23+? I'm more of a media consumer (watches a lot on phone and play games) than (taking photos, editing and posting on social media)

I'm pissed off because Samsung has cheaped out on their enhanced trade-in credits, apparently pushing focus on carrier specific models. I always and only buy unlocked and in the past, I could trade in my previous Samsung phone and get a generous credit towards the newest phone, which made it affordable. This year, not so much it seems. You can't even trade in two devices anymore.
Maybe this will be my new phone I have now iPhone 8 Plus and if I want to buy a Samsung it’s super hard to switch Apple to android i have a lot pictures on my phone and tiktok videos that I did download a lot of staff is on my iPhone I am still thinking to buy a Samsung in the future 😊

30fps is fine until you pan the camera and get those jarring effects. I will stick to 4K and 60fps. It’s plenty.
Samsung seems to add spec numbers and features but it’s upgrades are not quality expected. Apple is so easy to use vs Android for me. It appears Apple takes what others do only better. I do wish Apple did up features faster but they need to perf is the key
I believed that until I didn’t. Apple sucks and its extremely boring design and operating system is ruining the company. I was a devout user until the 12PM. I had everything Apple offered and grew tired of it. I’m using a Z Fold 4 now and I can happily say I’m glad Samsung is pushing the envelope.
Just got the s22 ultra a few months ago its not worth the upgrade since the s23 looks the exact same with minor refeshments.

The ultra 22 battery was horrible! I'm so afraid the 23 will be as bad despite how well the phone works and the amazing camera but battery is so important.

Those S23's are starting to looka lot like iPhones in the frames.... The only reason i bought one is because the S23U as $13 for me. No Joke I had so much Samsung promocodes and discounts its $13 dollars.
