Seems to me he is dealing with some physical pain too, even though he says he isn't. It's understandable, he took a lot of damage, it's amazing and great that he got out with all fingers and toes.
After having his neck and back broken in Afghanistan he still returned to active duty. Having his knees blown out on a later mission is what ultimately medically retired him. His walk shows that.
Joe McGrath he will struggle with that day and live with that day every day he opens his eyes unfortunately. I am a U.S. Air Force Vet and it’s the men like Marcus that help me forget about my pain and just be proud that I’m an American and I’m so very proud of him and thankful that he made it home to his family. He is a good man!!!
Marcus also muzzle sweeps him at 2:35 but he’s a master in control of the weapon and his hands nowhere near the trigger so I’ll forgive him for it this time. But still, it’s a cardinal rule.
Dr. numbskull: Vietnam Vet here, 71- til the draw down in 73. IMO, the last time our military actually fought for our freedom was WW2. Tell me numbskull, exactly how did a civil war in Vietnam threaten our freedom? Our involvement in Vietnam was based on a LIE to begin with. Same goes for Korea (commie threat), Iraq (WMD's), Afghanistan's 16 year war (hiding Bin Laden), and dozens of other countries ONE MAN, our Presidents, decided to wage war against. How could any of these third world shitholes possibly pose a threat to the most powerful military on the planet & our freedoms? Matter of fact, after the 9/11 attacks by SAUDI criminals, it was our own Government who removed or severely curtailed many of our most basic freedoms & started SPYING on every American citizen to such an extreme extent, it would make Communist East Germany proud. You, like the vast majority of U.S. citizens, have been brainwashed into believing these never ending wars are for our protection when in fact, they're for the benefit of multi-billion dollar Corporations & their monetary profit. $$$$$$$$$$
Simply put, i love the freedom, innovation and technology of USA. But i hate the fact that US has been involving in many many conflicts which are nothing to do with the peoples of US. Southern Scythe it’s really not naive. Of course he has obligations. Changing the obligations is part of making the change. Get a new job. Sell the old property. Go out and get the life you want now
If you've only seen the movie and haven't read his book, you're missing out. The strength and determination of this man comes through on every page! Very humbling, these American heroes--and humble, too.
He is truly a good man. He loves his country and his wife and children and his mother. A true American hero. He also loved his brothers in arms. The eyes show a deep sadness and he deals with the loss and what he went thru every day. He is a good man.
Great story and I hope he and his family have a good long life together, God knows they deserve it. That ranch is top notch and flat out awesome- and man alive, I'm happy for them. Best wishes and God bless.
My wife and I were vacationing in Florida and one night, we were at a bar and restaurant called AJ's and there was this guy that looked almost identical to the Luttrell brothers. I told the fella that he looked like Marcus Luttrell and that Marcus is the hero, the fella then casually shook my hand as he exit the bar. To the luttrell brothers, if this was really one of you guys then it is an honor to be able to shake your hand. I'm not american but I'm every bit american as any american in this country. I salute all soldiers and god bless our US country.
Marcus...if you see this THANK YOU from one American woman 🇺🇸 I'm so sorry for the hell you went thru and continue to endure (the nightmares you spoke of in your book)!! We, as Americans, can never repay you for your sacrifice!! I've read your book 4 times lol. It's a very eye opening, well written, scary and sad book. So glad you made it home Sir! I also want you to know that I'm so sorry for the loss of your BROTHERS 🙏💔🙏 RIP...Mikey, Axe, Danny, the BRAVE men of Seal Team 10 and the rest of our BRAVE MEN who were just trying to rescue y'all who were blew out of the f**king sky!! 😭 I for one will NEVER FORGET OPERATION RED WINGS!!!!! 🇺🇸

He obviously lives is such great pain - I can see it in his posture & facial expressions. I cannot imagine the hell he went through with a broken back, being shot, watching his brothers die - absolutely incredible man.
To all the keyboard warriors in this comment section judging a Navy Seal on his military past and current life at the moment. I challenge you to be a real warrior like this man is , then your comments will be taken seriously!...... Respect to you Marcus from a British Veteran!
When he said that on his farm he's not a hero he's just Marcus. I wouldn't know what to do or say. I don't know what other word besides hero would fit him properly.

Worked a lot with the US Navy overseas as a British vet. This guy epitomizes the US forces. I loved the patriotism in the guys I worked with. A great male role model Mr Luttrell.
Most of them are like that. I trained with some SF ODA guys a while back. All of them were great people, chow with them was hilarious but their stories were rough. Seeing them in action was a whole different story, you could imagine it as Ghost Recon in real life, dangerous dudes
If everyone in our country was even a little bit like Marcus this country would be a way better place. The advise I keep hearing him say is serve others before yourself and once you do that you will be the happiest person on earth and ain't that so true.

Agreed... but be cautious because the word “bear” is still apart of it.. look up him chasing down the men who shot his dog 😳

Fox wouldn't let her admit it on camera, but she was having a blast firing that ar.
That sounds more like CNN
Fox is more conservative and pro gun. You’re thinking of cnn.
And she was doing a good job too!
At least she didn't claim PTSD like the wimpy reporter from New York Daily News.
She would have threw it down after the first shot and acted terrified if she was working for cnn

2:48 When a Fox news reporter can shoot better than an alleged "General" on CNN
💯💯💯💯💯💯
Is kinda funny, but in modern combat, a General's obviously got much bigger fish to fry. Ultimately, a general is an egghead.
Nothing hotter than a sexy blonde shooting an AR in Texas
I just wish she'd let me outta the scope.
