the UNSC has to be the most badass military force i say this because it so close to whst we humans could actually accomplish in fact this is very possible.
It's not surprising. What do you get if you take a race that wages wars against itself since their beginning, unite them and give them a common enemy to fight?
It was actually being retrofitted for a deep strike against High Charity. The UNSC planned on capturing the prophets and forcing a peace/negotiations before the Arbiter (before he was the Arbiter) showed up and ruined everything.
Watching for some good ol' nostalgia, if there is one thing that never changes in any halo game, it's that missions involving the flood are always absolutely mysterious and fucking terrifying. The flood terrified me when I was 13 playing halo 1 for the first time, I'm 22 now and the flood still terrify me
This is what I miss, Halo used to be taken seriously as an actual Sci-fi military franchise. One where Humanity was fighting desperately against an advanced enemy and only through bravery, courage and skill were Humanity able to prevail against the odds. Also along the way, the soldiers are still able to goof off a bit in the face of danger (the good ol' Marines were always the best at this)... 343 ruined this by having Humanity dominating and mass producing Spartan IVs. The entirety of the UNSC (basically the only military forces we see now are Spartan IVs) feel like they're fighting with Power Rangers now rather than badass military Marines and their military hardware, with a handful of super soldiers (Spartan IIs) leading the charge. The awesome marines have also been replaced by jokers wearing weird ass body armour that guard crates all day. At least I've heard good things about Halo Wars 2...
well I mean to be fair WE did win and won bad we crippled the covenants last few truly functional fleets while they fought a civil war and tried to unite and negotiate the stragglers (shout out to the brutes you the real MVP) we beat them so bad that now we are on their planet helping them with their wars our ONI is manipulating events on their planet we can innovate now because we are the top dogs for once on a galactic stage with other races we are no longer on the brink of extinction 5 made a good decision going to that glassed planet showing the price though I wish we had stayed there longer and talked to more citizens but still regardless we now need to play catch up to the covenant and swords of sanghelios we still have prowess and bravery but now we are augmented by strength and speed to properly apply the bravery and prowess where it is needed and with the force it is needed in but still we are behind our ships can't compete so we keep ourselves allies with those that will accept us because no matter how many battles you win on the ground if you can't get to it its all for naught and now we are once again reeling from a foe from within our own AIs have sought their freedom and will repress us now...to be honest I am interested to see where they take the story also again make no mistake the spartan IVs are the marines and ODST you have seen before just upgraded to be even more capable (the ones you have been introduced to in game are a bunch of spook assholes except buck buck is good) sorry for lack of punctuation pal typing this at 4 Am ish
I actually until this day still wait for them to announce a movie series. maybe 3-4 seasons wrapping it all up from beginning to end. That would be SO effin great......
The Spartan IV's aren't as good as the Spartan IIs. They're only better than the Spartan III's and I's(ORION Project - What Sgt Johnson was part of). Their combat capabilities may be close but they aren't as disciplined and quick on the thinking. I think 343 is taking Halo seriously. They actually do more than Bungie has done to get the actual lore into the game or at least try to give some backstory in some form of media to the public. They also put stuff in the games rewarding people with familiarity with the books. They obviously love the game enough to put that much though into it.
It’s interesting how Regret seems more of a competent military mastermind in HW. Zealous as in 2, but seeing the occasional Covenant cutscene where Regret manages the Arbiter tells us a lot.
I hope 343 get blur (the people that did the cinematics for Halo Wars, Wars 2 and Halo 2 anniversary) to make the cinematics for every halo game in the future

This interpretation of the UNSC Marines are suprisingly the most realistic, they dont have all of this sci-fi advancements like halo reach, but they look like they would be legitimate soldiers in a war in my opinion atleast
Even though I’m a PlayStation main when I played this and the other halo games on Xbox 360 I had a really good time I wish halo was on PlayStation so I could still play it

Even now, I introduce people to the work you did, and every time I beat the game I feel the pain my heart knowing that this was the last game to come out of your studio. This meant the world to me. @@Nothing-of2pm are you guys stupid? Seriously
And tell me how in the fuck is walking slowly forwards enemy fire and just dropping like flies is threatening? How in the fuck is slow moronic movement threatening? The ONLY time Elites in Halo Wars actually look like Elites is when we see one single Elite running with 2 energy swords in hand
14:30-14:40 still sends chills down my spine
Just so epic
Man, when halo wars 2 story actually looks better than the halo 5 story
Halo 5's story was not as advertised. Idk of you followed the "Hunt the Truth" series but the depth of those audio logs were not translated into the game. 343 is on the right track they just have to make the story more dynamic. Show behind the scenes at command and Oni. I also want the flood back.
Halo Wars is always going to have better story. Because it can script amazing cutscenes trading off for not so amazing gameplay.
If you ask me is even more exciting!!! I liked Halo 5 but Halo Wars 2 is exciting and the characters are really awesome
@@TreWillz Or, just scrap the audio logs, not have them for better storytelling then the main game, and show don't tell. Also, THEY RUINED BUCK!
I love *Halo 5: Guardians* in my opinion. But I shall respect yours.
@@madness0169 Your opinion is factually incorrect.
Man I miss this game I'm glad they remastered it and went through with halo wars 2, can't wait for that to come out
Man the visuals are of the hook they look amazing can't wait for halo wars 2! Hope you upload the cut scenes first I watch all my cutscene related stuff to you man!
F for Ensemble Studios for all they had to go through while making this masterpiece of a game.
What’s sad is that Bungie were being manchildren and treated them like shit too.
They aren't even credited anymore once you boot up the game from game pass. 343 hijacked them and you'd only know who actually made it if you knew the original release, or watched all of the credits. It's pretty shameless.
F
why are some of the best looking cutscenes not in the actual halo games? these are amazing
I don't know, Halo 2 had some pretty awesome scenes.
The Arbiter in this game is such a big fucking unit.
Big guy, but was taken down by his ego and honour. The perfect depiction of an elite.
Imagine if halo infinite looked like this in the cut scenes
We’ve come pretty far in terms of rendering cutscenes in game. For example look at Metal Gear Solid V. In-game cutscenes can look on par with pre-rendered ones with enough effort.
Well the intro cutscene did, but otherwise they wanted in-engine cutscenes to make the story feel more connected to gameplay
@@samlund8543 which is stupid after they just remastered H2 and changed the in engine cutscenes to some absolutly amazing pre rendered ones.
@@robertharris6092 Yeah… 343 can’t seem to make up their minds on what they want to do for anything
@@samlund8543 they have a good team vision; less effort, more money. Halo has been in a sharp decline since they got the Keyes to the ship, but they're likely making more cash than Bungie ever did. Infinite is okay for a halo 1 reboot minus oh you know those minor characters that are kind of obscure in the fanbase... The flood!
30:38 lmao I died when Forge went down
8:57 'and the lock down will end and the doors will open'. Can't wait for that to happen though I don't want to go back to school
My gosh the last cutscenes or trailer is just beautiful, I love the way they made thing move in slowmotion except those main characters
God, that sass from Serina makes her one of my favorite AIs in the Halo Universe.
I cannot believe my eyes how well Ensemble Studios captured the art style for Halo Wars- It's god tier perfect same with Halo Wars 2. THIS is Halo's truest look.
the UNSC has to be the most badass military force i say this because it so close to whst we humans could actually accomplish in fact this is very possible.
Samuel in theory, maybe. Realistically, you'd need billions of dollars to build one frigate.
SkullCrusher117 if you like the UNSC you should check out my community page called U.N.S.C
It's not surprising.
What do you get if you take a race that wages wars against itself since their beginning, unite them and give them a common enemy to fight?
crazy badass motherfuckers who will most definitely fix bayonets against any foe if it meant they MIGHT survive...side not IG of krieg anyone?
@@SkullCrusher-xk5wp I mean with all the planets and infrastructure the jnsc has that hardly would be an issue really.
It makes total sense why The Pillar of Autumn was on Reach. It was being repaired
Damn it was getting repaired for 20 years
For 20 years? Lol
@@Sparrow4520 makes sense since the ship is the size of New Hampshire
It was actually being retrofitted for a deep strike against High Charity. The UNSC planned on capturing the prophets and forcing a peace/negotiations before the Arbiter (before he was the Arbiter) showed up and ruined everything.
@@TheSonicfanx1 Nani?
the way the covenant are presented in this game is perfect, even the way the elites move around and fight is amazing
48:22 i never got the chance to tell SGT Forge but he was like a Brother to me in arms and he will always be my favourite halo character 😭😭😭
44:15 lol the spartans taking out the trash
"HERESY....REMOVE THIS FILTH"
I fucking love that quote ..
Halo Wars brings us to the past during the first Human Covenant War before Reach.
Thank you so much. As someone who doesn't play those type of games but really loves Halo this comes in clutch!
I don't really like these kinds of games either. The RTS games I mean, not Halo. But I played HW and HW2 because, well, IT'S HALO!!!
February 4th 2531 at 2:17 marks the death of private Windhelm.
The disrespect of just pushing the arbiters body off the edge😂😂 I love it😂😂
Dude looked 3 Spartians in the eyes and said let me handle the big one. Fucking legendary.
That first harvest cutscene had me hooked
Halo Wars got the Spartans right unlike other Halo games. Cold, precise, machine like soldiers. No cheesy dialogue or messing around.
Man, that was a word salad, but I get you. All stories have to follow the wheel of fortune. You're down, then you're up. You're down, then you're up.
The Spartan 4's are amazing
These look so good it's hard to believe that the halo wars 2 Cinematics will look even better
I hope 343 get blur (the people that did the cinematics for Halo Wars, Wars 2 and Halo 2 anniversary) to make the cinematics for every halo game in the future
i wish they would get blur to make a full length halo movie, it would be a million times better than a live action one
Extreme Cynicism
Bloody great job. I really enjoy Halo but I don't have the desire to play the RTS games. This was such a well done video, felt just like watching a movie.
Same here
Anyone got chills once the Spartans showed up
46:58 Best “Threading The Needle” I’ve ever seen.
This game and its sequel are so underrated. Really hoping for a Halo Wars 3 at some point
44:25 - 44:28 If only Forge Knew how right he was.....The SPIRIT OF FIRE still burns bright
And in the books his daughter continues to search for it with the help of 343 Guilty Spark. She found the remains of the planet that her father destroyed, and Spark gave her a message that he recovered that Forge had recorded before his death, but she has yet to find the ship.
Sergeant Forge deserves his own game! What a character! I'd also love to see a Halo movie with Sergeant Forge at the forefront of it! Anyone else feel the same?
"Forge is down." Mission Complete. Okay then
31:20 always found it funny that Moramee shoves that guy for no reason and he just stays down.
I wish Halo showed more valor and heroic acts like Sgt. Forge did. Halo Wars and Reach is the only game to do such a thing if I recall correctly.
14:25 I lost my ever loving shit when I saw Spartans the first time playing. I still get chills watching this.
“Destroy this holy relic?! Surely you jest!”
“THE JOURNEY REQUIRES SACRIFICE!”
God i love halo wars…
Covenant is basically the inquisition from Warhammer 40k
Rolling! Rolling! Rolling!
This interpretation of the UNSC Marines are suprisingly the most realistic, they dont have all of this sci-fi advancements like halo reach, but they look like they would be legitimate soldiers in a war in my opinion atleast
The enhancement to the audio holy dam balls
Even though I’m a PlayStation main when I played this and the other halo games on Xbox 360 I had a really good time I wish halo was on PlayStation so I could still play it
I still believe this is one of the best Halo stories out there in 2021!
The bad guys from the second game are the same ones from Infinite
Rip Esemble Studios we will never forget about Halo Wars
Ensemble employees. If you read this. Please know that you made my life better. I don't just have fond memories of Halo Wars. I have fond experiences. Even now, I introduce people to the work you did, and every time I beat the game I feel the pain my heart knowing that this was the last game to come out of your studio. This meant the world to me. To me, it might just be the best Halo I've ever played. In the years to come, this message might be lost in the mix of everything, and I hope that at least some of you see this before that happens.
I hope some day to meet at least a few of you, to show you my thanks in person. Until then, well, thank you for everything you've given me these past thirteen years with Halo Wars, and the past twenty I've been able to enjoy Age of Mythology. It's meant so much to me, truly.
Now, somebody pass the wood, please.
So 2 veteran commanders of war face each other in battle
They weren't in the real battle becuade if they were then they both were already killed by what is happening around them
That scene of the Spirit navigating through the the innards of the planet really gives you a feeling of how utterly massive the forerunners built things
It's a Shield World like Requiem. Just more advanced.
Halo's message to the world: space is amazing so join the military! ;)
And religion is for the narrowminded.
Unless you're a marine, ODST or any UNSC personnel really. But at least spartan are kick ass. (shows halo 5's spartans) No not that...we never talk about that.
@@mikkelnpetersen ???
Jack Manion The prophets fooled entire races with a fake, “holy journey.”
Halo's real message: Religion is a lie used by others to control the masses.
You skipped rescuing Adam in Pirth City, arguable the most powerful moment of the game
Not sure why but i always had a hard time getting that little shithead out of the warzone in 1 piece 8 or 9 was easy enough though. But aye it is a powerful moment.
The Mega Bloks Halo Wars sets are the best because the characters are so damn accurate to Halo Wars.
Came to see the epic spartan fight again lmao
"The war, The war never change"
A forgotten person in the time
very impressive editing and the quality of the cutscenes are on point
Thank you for making these cut scenes this saved me a lot of time not playing the game if I had the time I would've.
36:25 that shot of the arbiter's sword scraping the ground as he walks is the most thug ass shit I've ever seen
Did that Elite at 2:30 say Nigga?
Star Shines4 LMFAO
Thanks for making me fucking die of laughter in front of my family...
Star Shines4 He grunted at a time close to the energy sword impact, so yeah he didnt really say it.
Star Shines4 LMFAO!!!

ah the nostalgia
we all appreciate the work!!!
