Part 6: "Halfway Done" Almost 20 WHOLE MINUTES later "Finished" We don't deserve your talent, and for your sharing it with all of us, we thank you; this is an exemplification of everything I've loved about this franchise for over two decades, and your cumulative body of work demonstrates the depth of your understanding of not just these franchises, not just the artform, but how to bring them to life in way that makes them feel so REAL. Keep up the phenomenal work!
I think what broke my heart about that bit was that by that point, the Spartan looked above him and knew it was all over for them, the moment he saw that Super Carrier. But a Spartan's duty is to give hope where there is none, and where he gave those ODSTs hope by saving them, they refused to their last breath to let him lose the hope he gave them.
Seeing the ODST's and marines working together made it more engaging than just super soldiers running around killing aliens, it really does display the entirety of humanity fighting the covenant and we get to see everyone's contributions and struggles
Dude made a way better job than the Halo TV Show. *The UNSC marines are simply displayed as cannon fodder.* Like... Yes, we're losing the war. But, they were giving our beloved Marines Stormtrooper treatment.
@@JagerFrostTroll *Nah, SODAZ is a legend. This is literally the best animation I've seen about Halo.* Dude should be hired for the 343 Industries development team. They should really see Valve's and Mojang's examples. If only he was the writer for the Halo TV Show also...
@@carinhatube3727 343 is a terrible developer. Halo ended after Reach. Crowbcat did a video of comparing the 343 dev team to the bungie team. 343 is another developer milking a franchise, much like hollywood does. They never created it, they dont have the respect for it, they just want to make money
@@JagerFrostTroll Ah yes Bungie the ones who make games out of the charity of their hearts, lets take a look at how Destiny is doing again. Ah right, their about on par with them because the entire AAA gaming side of things is filled with money milkers because that's how the industry has become as a whole today. I got nothing to defend 343 about, but Crowbcat? Of course they would make Bungie look like angels in comparison when they have long set out to prove his agenda and make an absolutely bias take by showing the best of Bungie but the worse of 343 while lacking nuance that both companies had their high and low points. TLDR, both Bungie and 343 aren't dev teams worth praising since both had hits and misses.
@@Sujad It would be a dream come true. Just imagine seeing the Human - Covenant War from beginning to end as a good TV Show, every season the Covenant getting closer to Earth
@@TheSniper1623 All it would take is someone who actually cares about the setting. There's another UA-camr, can't recall his name but he got the script for the movie that was going to be directed by the guy who did 28 Days Later. It's a good listen if you're interested.
This letter is more than just love but gratitude. It was something all of its own but still honored the start and end of the greatest ride Bungie gave us. Sodaz is the greatest and should be honored by all as a fan who made something that has touched the hearts of those who really loved this franchise. Thanks sodaz this was heart touching video and to see where it began piece by piece, and to see the finished product. It was a hell of a ride and we all loved it
I haven't even gotten 3 minutes in.. and all I can say. Glorious... Going to finish the rest then probably watch it again.. because. Yes... I find it odd how halo 3 odst and halo reach are the only two games with fire fight... And then I realized. The convenient.. never wholly made it past reach... Like they were staled.. and they were staled hard by the odst, rise of the flood, rise of the Banished. Let alone the casualties a handful of Spartans could cause.. And then wonder why we don't see flood infection form's in halo infinity... Well basically.. human had the time to deal with the flood before it could become a problem.. The flood basically united the covenant with humanity. And those oblivious to the flood. On the covenants side became part of the Banished.. I assume the Banished was something building up from the very start of the covenant... I'm mean... An all controlling superpower... Like that can't go wrong in anyway... Well examples of it going wrong... Look at any one of the global superpowers history.. and realize.. that's what I just mentioned..
"failed"? Most likely "miserable sunk" I would say...Why the hell they always had to change canon to "adapt" the for "wider audience"? To me at best they tried to adapt for "personal investiment", definitely not for fan investiments
The speed, ferocity, and lethality is extremely lore accurate. THIS is the real halo show. Extrapolated to a full season, say band of brothers style, my god...
DEI is the problem and I say that as a black man. Halo had female leads, Black leads, and Latino leads. There was no need to change the identity of the game with reimagined woke agenda. I grew up on these games. It was fine the way it was and there was more room for other stories to explore. The early UNSC and colony conflicts. The Human Forerunner wars with the Didact. Seeing several different tech advanced ancient humans. All that untapped gold. That would make billions. Halo is a Universe that steps to Star Wars and Startrek level. But agendas are priority🙄
i don't understand why studios just don't seem to like to stick to source material. Sure straying off from time to time can work(ex. The Last of Us), but u gotta make sure it works with the pre existing lore.
We all know the reason..... Cause most of the times fan's goal is " look, at this cool thing I made!!" And ir has passion. Multi million dollar studios have people who have no idea what the things is about thinking only about "money" hindering people who want to make it good.
@M4X I've come to realize that most of these showrunners, i.e. writers, producers, directors, etc; are just trying to make a name for themselves and probably don't find value towards their career advancement in just sticking with pre-existing source material. I hate it, but that's probably a major driving factor.
9:29 the homage to the Halo ODST music when the ODST looked up at night with the rain is just one the the small details that bring back so much memories from the Halo games
just here after noticing how tragic the paramount halo show is yet again for S2. This 25 min short oozes absolutely EVERYTHING Halo. Spartans. Marines. ODSTs. Grunts. Jackals. Elites. Hunters. Brutes. Spaceship Combat. Drop Pods. Dogfights and Ground Assaults. Glassing the Planet. Streetfights and Stealth Spec Ops. Gunfights and Hand-To-Hand Combat. Sound Effects. And the Music. Loss, Reverance, and Rememberance. Awe. Hope.
I actually genuinly enjoyed season 2, of course it could be alot better, and it would be if it wasnt a parralel universe but the current. But I watched with my dad who never played halo and I realized that the show was made for all audiences and people like my dad are now interested in playing the games because they enjoyed the show
@@Ocean_Carp honestly think it would have been better if they didnt choose fucking master chief to be the main character, like make it a ODST or a marine half the scenes wouldnt be as bad with em because we wouldnt have any mannerism's to compare em to
I hope people noticed the Spartans shown in this animation are the Spartans you find scattered among the battlefield in noble 6s last mission, lone wolf! What an amazing piece of work!
I thought that too, but they aren't. Area is completely different. There aren't those warehouses with the rounded roofs and that small tower with the turrets isn't here. Still, though. This is an amazing video.

The way this story ended by seeing Noble Six taking out the carrier in the distance and the Spartans seeing the pillar of autumn leaving and them succumbing to their injuries had me in tears. This was an amazing story and animation. Thank you for making this.
you didn't just cook, you achieved stable nuclear fusion seriously, this is some the best fan made content of anything I've ever seen. I love how perfectly hopeless this feels, more so than the games, while still showing some some fierce resistance. It's very hard to do both simultaneously.
Seeing The Pillar of Autumn take off at the end and knowing Six gave them hell for the next several hours made me smile with pride. Amazing work everyone involved!
@@chloeholmes4641It was only after Six Murdered like I think 15 Zealot class Elites, he eventually folded under his wounds and got killed by the Remaining 3/7 sent to kill him, which were specialized Zealot Elites.
Idk if it is true, but I heard somewhere that it was basically a large group of marines, odst's and spartans fighting them off while they slowly got whittled away until it was just Six. Then as another person mentioned, he would die too. It took literally a whole army to get him though.
I am from Taiwan. As a fans of HALO, I am really happy to see works that I think can be used as official promotion. If someone says that games are art, your work will be the brilliance of this art. Here I offer my best wishes and my greatest respect
That SPECIFIC piano note that plays when noble six fires the ground Mac gun at the cruiser will forever be the song of hope every moment I experience in life. Thank you halo.
@vrASMR180 They mean during the "Lone Wolf" segment, even though each time you run that mission, I believe the dead Spartans armour is randomised, but this 25-minute film pretty much shows what they could look like, true attention to detail
It truly does. The ending hit Hard. The perspective of other battlefields of reach without knowing it is reach until the very end is just genius. Whoever wrote the story for this animation should be hired by 343 the write an actual good story for halo. Not to forget the animations that are just sick.
I mean this is just what halo fans want. And the story was great the Spartans no matter how bad ass they were being the couldn't stop what was happening and it was all done so good. Well done
The way that ending tied it together with Noble Six destroying the cruiser and showed the Pillar of Autumn brought me to tears. This fan animation is 100X better than anything 343 has given us.
A labor of love vs a cash cow. SODAZ put his heart into this that's why the quality is night and day between one man and a multi-million dollar development team.
@@Solarius1983 343 haven't had a clear direction since they inherited the franchise, bouncing from plot to plot with each new game, they've retconned so much shit entirely unnecessarily that it begs the question of why they even exist if they can't handle working off the plot that already existed from Bungie's days (though to be fair, Bungie had issues with that too, given that the books exist and don't play nice with the canon in the games), and they're following right along with the industry trend of "we don't have to bother polishing our games or finishing them before they release, that's what patches are for". That's not to mention the season passes, whether it's them implementing scummy bullshit or rewriting something that was already perfectly functional because they feel like they could do better? I guess? To put it in Halo terms, 343 have failed to properly uphold the Mantle of Responsibility. If you like the games and don't take issue with the issues, more power to you, but simping for a corporation worth hundreds of millions of dollars ain't good for you or the series. Hold them to standards or they'll take every inch of slack you give them.
This short film totally encapsulates the feeling of Reach and pays true homage to Halo. I'd love to see you animate Noble 6's last stand in the Lone Wolf location and show us how much of a Demon 6 really was. As it stands this is the best Reach Machinima out there truly a Masterpiece.
I can’t believe you gave the Spartans on the last mission of halo reach a story. To me this is cannon. You gave these unknown heroes a beautifully crafted story before their inevitable deaths. You sir deserve this sub
Loving how everyone has a separate part to play. Spartans are taking the big threats, pushing the line back. ODSTs are close behind, doing spec ops stuff and securing areas just behind so the Spartans can keep their momentum. Marines are holding the line and evacuating civilians, giving everyone else the time they need to do what they do.
Yep very accurate analogy! Spartans: Mostly takes out the bigger enemies, so the other forces can have breather and kill the other forces. ODST: While the spartans advances, they do the vital objectives that can help everyone in the operation Marines: Fodders, but like ODST they are doing their darn best to support
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. In a 25 minute short film you managed to tell a better story than any production company or studio has managed to do with Halo in 13 years.
This is literally what Halo is all about. Not dumb plotholes and weird looking unngoy, just pure survival of man against something bigger than them. This was an amazing movie to watch. Thank you for creating this masterpiece. ❤
THE PERFECT ENDING This was definitely the content we needed but didn't deserve It was an absolute honor following your WIP journey from over a year ago Thank you for another amazing video on a beloved franchise and for the Patreon shout out
We deserved it alright. There's been a severe lack of well-done fan-made halo animations and such. At least in comparison to other franchises in a similar stature. (Warhammer, Starwars, Doom, Half-Life) To top it all off, we've got the most unorganized, benighted and outright incompetent studio currently responsible for Halo. While other studios responsible for said franchises also have serious issues that cause their community headache after headache, they at least get far more regular content that is more often than not much more authentic to the series than what Halo has gotten the past years. 343 has tried to turn and twist the image of Halo for no other reason than "We're not bungie". A waste of a studio that have misunderstood their purpose, instead striving to alienate the audience they were left with. So to be honest, I'd say if there's any community that deserves to have content like this made, Halo is definitely one of them
Halo has been one of the greatest memories of my life. We experienced the concept of Halo, Master Chief and Cortana. Those last few minutes realizing what they were fighting for gave me chills. Not many full feature films lately have given me anything close to that. Thank you such much; as a halo fan I really needed something actually good.
This whole film was nothing short of amazing. I love how in the end each member of the team sacrificed themselves in the blaze of glory( except the one in red) in an apparently hopeless battle. Even though they all tragically died, the Spartan in the brown armor lived long enough to see that the Pillar of Autumn escaped and died knowing that their deaths were not in vain and that there is hope for humanity to survive another day. “That is the difference between a life wasted and a life spent..” -Chief Mendez
I can't get over how the Elites move in this. That Red Ultra's charge makes me think of raptors and those firing stances feel so grounded like an actual alien soldier. That alone is something to be proud about in this masterpiece. I hope you'll be able to do another Halo project with an Elite as the main character.
'Actual alien soldier" yeah, because we have just so many examples of those. 😅 they stand like humans. Because that's what they're based off. Bipedal, organic life. Two arms and two legs.
Hearing about CE remake really gives me a sigh of relief after watching this masterpiece. Watching this is the first time I’ve felt the true essence of halo since reach itself came out. Thank you.
The fluid way that the ODSTs and Spartan pair were working together gave me chills. The way the Spartans used themselves as tanks, to distract from the real objective. Truly realistic teamwork. 👏 Sadly it's what often got them killed 😢 Edit: Also those Zealots were absolutely menacing. So graceful in their fighting style!
My god. Please dont let the big guys ruin you like theyre gonna ruin the guy that made Astartes in Warhammer. Be your own man. This is astonishing. Im am so impressed. I will donate money for sure!
You just made the ending of Halo Reach 100x more special, by showing us that the MAC cannon cruiser takedown and Pillar Of Autumn takeoff would have been seen for miles around, by both the covenant and surviving UNSC. Most of the human forces knew they probably weren't making it off the planet alive at that point, but they bought *just enough* time for another ship to get away. And most of the covenant might've been surprised to see a *whole cruiser* go down so late in the invasion, when they'd wiped out almost all of the human forces and ships even capable of doing that, when they'd basically *already won.* There were so many great action/character beats in this video, like that ODST in the rain with the matching OST, and the Silent Shadow elites (the covenant got just as much love as the UNSC!) Just the fact that you animated AT LEAST over a hundred character models over god knows how many shots & sequences... This is up there with the most passionate Halo fan works ever made, if not at the top of the list. Even if you go on to animate other things and never make another piece of Halo content ever again, I wish you the best. Keep going!
9:13 I just want to appreciate the subtle shake of the camera as the Spartans walk past, really communicating the sheer weight of their armor. This film is so well made.
I've always found it weird how a two thousand pound spartan can casually climb into a warthog without flipping it over or walk on stairs. The warthog might be counter balanced by the turret, but the turret itself cant be more than 700-900 lbs.
The camera shakes as the Spartans walk past is visible in some other places too, notably when the team is walking up to the defenses on the last scene. You can also see the entire Falcon lean to one side and then rock when the Spartan gets out of the pilot seat. So much love went into this!
@@RebelCannonClub74 i always like to think maybe the warthog has “advanced in the future suspension” and thats why it cant flip over from a spartan being on it. this could also explain how -in game- marines shots are complete lasers to the covenant no matter what the hog is doing😂 warthog is S-TIER
@@RebelCannonClub74 Could you imagine how hilarious it would be if every time a Spartan attempts to climb into a warthog they flip like a drunk person trying to go into a hammock 😅
This whole animation is phenomenal, love the way you connected at the end with the reach campaign, and the little nodes to each unit of the UNSC. This is why I love the Halo community, thank you
The sight of ODST's sharing one last time camaraderie with a Spartan, knowing full well that they won't being able to do it again, giving him a pistol, knowing full well that its the last thing he could have done to make the covenant pay... its a sight that put a smile on my face. You took Reach, you glassed it. But you will never trully break us. In moment of despair and defeat, humanity take up the challenge, and for every ounce of blood we spilled, we're gonna make you bleed even more. Thank you Sodaz, you magnificent bastard
This was the end. "C'MON, SPARTAN! GIVE EM HELL!" The man inside swung his rifle up again, and laughed madly as he held the trigger. Time was slow here. The Spartan was, dying. His medical readout said it. He felt it. A plasma bolt embedded itself into the ODST's throat. His laughter cut off, rifle walking into the sky, clicking empty, as his body fell. The Spartan raised the pistol. The woman backing them up threw her last grenade, and began turning to engage another threat. Two rounds struck her in the sternum, armor boiling red and white, though she still managed to pull the trigger back before another took her in the visor. The handgun thundered. Time was slow here. One's shield sparked and shattered, a third round sinking into his maw. A second's shield flashed orange brittle, before the Sangheili bashed the pistol from his hand. The sword came down, down, down... The moment came after a year of waiting.

Edit, also my first donation to anybody on the internet ever, like many others commenting. You deserve this and more.
My jaw dropped. It made me feel like I was there again playing Reach for the first time. It gave this story even more meaning and made it even MORE incredible
I love that you combined so many different aspects of the Covenant. You’ve got Skirmishers with plasma repeaters, duel sword Elites, Jackals with carbines behind other ones with shields. Not to mention how they actually all work together too which just makes them seem truly powerful and capable of almost destroying humanity.
I have no clue how long this took to make but dddaaaammmmmnnnn is it ON POINT. The sprint bash that the brown spartan did with the hunter was on point for what a spartan would have actually done lore wise if this is one person they should be advising the halo tv show if it’s a group real lace the tv show group with this one.

That Spartan with the GUNGNIR helmet is my spirit animal. Almost had the exact armor kit I kept during Halo Reach and the fact he gets close quarters constantly with the shotty is lovely. Rushing in bashing a pair of jackals shoulder first. Love it! 🌹
The fact that this tells us of a different spartan team on reach and their last stand was holding a front line in defense of the autumn while noble 6 took out the covenant corvette with the MAC. And implying that the lone wolf survival mission at the end of reach was noble 6 fighting at this groups last stand location or at least somewhere nearby. Watched this with each part uploaded and now after watching it again in its entirerty i realize what it was. God damn, talk about amazing
I've always loved Reach the most of all the games. All I can say is thank you for this. It's been a rough time for Halo fans, I think, and this is some big medicine.
In Halo Reach, there is a cutscene during the siege of Alexandria where Jun asks Carter if Spartan teams: Gauntlet, Red, and Echo were assigned to defensive deployments. I like to think that the spartan team in this film is one of those teams Jun mentioned in the defense of Reach. Especially since we see they were in range to see the pillar of autumn at the end.
The fact that you've given these unknown fallen spartans a story will forever be etched in my mind. If I ever play that level again I will see YOUR spartans. You've single handedly made your creation an actual part of Halo and tied it in with something very special. HOORAH spartan.

Playing the rebalanced CE campaign felt like playing it for the first time. It was originally advertised as a rebalance mod to give the weapons a patch to boost their utility. It turned into something more akin to a remaster. Its amazing.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to making content that the community hungers for. You even put Paramount+'s Halo series to utter shame!
Damn. . . I almost cried seeing the end of this. The ending was just so sad, but it captured the events of Reach beautifully. The sacrifice all the men and women took for humanity to get a chance of survival. Remember Reach.
Lore-wise, the armor mechanically moves exactly how much they intend. So if they're walking loud enough for you to hear, it's only because they want you to.
As a halo lover since 2001, i need to say this is the way that paramount need to follow, you understand what Halo is and the love of fans can do, amazing job, amazing animation, thank you SODAZ, greetings from México
I like how it shows the covenant as a legitimate threat, those high ranking elites are a match for Spartans and not to be messed with. You made the Spartans badass and like superheros but also showed their still human
In my 15 years on the internet, this is without a doubt the greatest fan animation I've ever seen to my favorite FPS franchise. Congratulations SODAZ, the entire halo community applauds you for a job well done.
If you enjoyed this, you would perhaps like Astartes by Syama Pederson. Its not only the best fan content on the internet, its better than anything the official studios for Games Workshop have put out before or since. Its a lot shorter, but the level of polish is AAA.
You’ve given the world something really special with this animation. Halo is one of my favorite franchises of all time, and this animation reminded me just how special it is.
Why couldn't the TV show do this? Why do writers always think they are better than the originals? They remake famous and popular IP. But they don't stick to the formula that made it so popular. These writers think they know better than the original IP and the fans. it's obnoxious. This was an amazing fan creation.
I remember playing reach for the first time, and just being dumb struck by everything. This made me feel like that 12-year-old kid again. Thank you man, your work is fucking phenomenal, and this is a video I will come back to for years for sheer enjoyment of this story.

I´ve watched every scene you uploaded on youtube and here we are at the end. These memories maked me almost cry. Good old times. So, here´s my Thanks. Btw, that scene that appeared at 23:10 was the most phenomenal and at that moment it was the biggest magic of the whole movie. It was a beautiful memory and beautiful tie-in to the end of HALO Reach. Have a nice rest of your day and keep up what you're doing because you´re doing it well.
A lot of people put it better than I could. But the ability to let you feel the raw emotion each marine, odst, and Spartan were going through up until 6 hits the cruiser was astounding. Being able to connect to 6 hitting the cruiser and the pillar of autumn go off with chief and Cortana gave me a feeling I haven’t had in 14 years! Shameful paramount showed the fall of reach in one episode. Thank you!
SODAZ as someone who has followed you since your 40k animation days all I can say as an avid Halo fan is thank you for your passion and hard work this is amazing.

Can't really afford much unfortunately but your work is exceptional, this is the best Halo content I've seen in awhile ! You definitely deserve more than this
I come back to this short film every once in a while. As a long time fan of Halo, I can't help but enjoy how much loving detail was put into this, from the use of in-game sounds, to the cinematography that highlights the different experiences of the Battle for Reach from different perspectives. Hell even just the small touches like the use of "Deference for Darkness" on the ODST in the rain, it's more an easter egg than anything, but it captures an idea that we all experienced together. And yet what's most impressive is the use of characterization without words. The marines perking up as a Spartan walks by, the way an Elite watches a Spartan die with a brutal manner of respect, to the way the ODST's react to different Spartans. The latter alone gives us the notion that to the ODST's, the Spartan in white was basically one of their own at that point, and they repaid that respect within only a short 25 minute animation. To do so much storytelling with small things in such a time is a testament to the skill of the film maker. So perhaps a bit long-winded way to say, SODAZ is quite skilled, and this is the love and dedication a fan of the series loves to see.
Any halo fan will understand that this is truly a work of art and an exemplary homage to the halo franchise. I've been keeping up with every WIP and it's still satisfying to see the full product. From the coordination of the ODSTs to the weight and power of the spartans and elites, this is one of the most lore-accurate depictions of combat in the halo universe.
Imagine if this guy had an actual budget, actual voice actors, some really good engine that he could animate in, he would make the best Halo film ever. 343 should honestly hire this guy.
He didn’t need voice actors though, that’s what was perfect about it. The Spartans were quiet, like they actually are in Halo, and you never got the feeling that there was anything missing
@@drewdavalos2746 imagine he had voice actors for the marines and odsts. I guess it was basically perfect without voice actors but some lines were kind of out of place
Dude.... DUDE! That is the coolest Halo thing I've seen in YEARS! I never really grew up with Halo and I don't follow it too much, but this goes HARD. This is just a damn masterpiece. It's a freaking magnum opus!
I haven't felt this way about halo since anything from the bungie era. I think I can collectively say this is what we've all wanted from a halo game. Animation, sound and story was all amazing. Not to mention the ending really pulled it all together . I've never donated to anything before or even commented on any video but this is more than deserving. Well done.
@@Spext0rTM M45 is the shotgun, the AR in the vid is a MA37 and it honestly wouldnt suprise me if there was some cross-compability between the mags for most Assault Rifle's in the UNSCAF, especially considering how many different versions of the same platform are flooting around the galaxy in lore
I cannot believe this movie is able to blow out of the water a multi million dollar project. Just goes to show what TRUE passion can achieve. Major kudos and well done!!!
The ammount of work and passion here is amazing! You can truly feel the love for halo in this. It's not much but I truly thank you for this gift for all of us ❤️
There is more love and care in these 25 minutes than there were in the two abysmal seasons of Paramount's attempt. This is why projects like this should be put in caring fan's hands, because you get something amazing.
I don't think I've seen much of anything that could compare to this. This is... Absolutely phenomenal. Every moment was amazing, and the ending was truly something else all together. Words will never be able to adequately describe how stunning and beautiful this film is. Hot damn.

Love the lore tie in for lone wolf, well maybe lol just thinking these are the Spartans we find dead at the end of the game
Those ODST's sticking with that Spartan till the end was very heart wrenching.
I legit teared up a bit. The Spartan saved them. They tried to return the favor but died all the same. So damned tragic.
Even harsher when you know the ODST's and Spartans have bad blood. They set it all aside for one last stand.

This is what we need as halo fans. This is what we’ve been missing. The studios need to learn from this, and do us justice. This was a masterpiece.
The ODST’s got their respect here and that truly makes me happy
damn true, so freakin awesome
Helljumpers don't run, that's for damn sure.
Awesome
Same for marines, they didnt feel like cannon fodder
When a 25 minute short film made by a single fan is better than an entire TV show made by a multi-million dollar studio.
i don't understand why studios just don't seem to like to stick to source material. Sure straying off from time to time can work(ex. The Last of Us), but u gotta make sure it works with the pre existing lore.
Sad but true
facts!

This is the halo we need, but not the one 343 deserves

And most of the covenant might've been surprised to see a *whole cruiser* go down so late in the invasion, when they'd wiped out almost all of the human forces and ships even capable of doing that, when they'd basically *already won.*
There were so many great action/character beats in this video, like that ODST in the rain with the matching OST, and the Silent Shadow elites (the covenant got just as much love as the UNSC!)
Just the fact that you animated AT LEAST over a hundred character models over god knows how many shots & sequences... This is up there with the most passionate Halo fan works ever made, if not at the top of the list.
Even if you go on to animate other things and never make another piece of Halo content ever again, I wish you the best. Keep going!

@@mr.realistic1014 I have no idea man… No idea.
I've heard it said that the UNSC lost every space battle had had but arguably beat the covenant in all their ground engagements.
23:12 when my brother said “Noble 6 did that” I STARTED CRYING BECAUSE IT ALL MADE SENSE AUGHHHH😭😭😭
@@RebelCannonClub74 that’s because Spartans only weigh half a ton which is 1000 pounds so the turret could be a counterweight but I still kinda agree
@@RebelCannonClub74 i always like to think maybe the warthog has “advanced in the future suspension” and thats why it cant flip over from a spartan being on it. this could also explain how
-in game- marines shots are complete lasers to the covenant no matter what the hog is doing😂 warthog is S-TIER

The fact that this tells us of a different spartan team on reach and their last stand was holding a front line in defense of the autumn while noble 6 took out the covenant corvette with the MAC. love how heavy the MJOLNIR armor sounds when they land from a drop, but are still silent hunters when the SPARTANs actually want to be
Lore-wise, the armor mechanically moves exactly how much they intend. So if they're walking loud enough for you to hear, it's only because they want you to.

Never stop making animations and doing what you love SODAZ. I hope you continue with Halo, but I look forward to any project you do.
343 will find a way to fuck him over somehow better he sticks what he does without 343
He didn’t need voice actors though, that’s what was perfect about it. The Spartans were quiet, like they actually are in Halo, and you never got the feeling that there was anything missing
@@drewdavalos2746 imagine he had voice actors for the marines and odsts. I guess it was basically perfect without voice actors but some lines were kind of out of place
I don't think Sodaz would want to work in collaboration with a company after what happenef with Games Workshop. He's better off as he is right now.
