Fact #1: You have a massive advantage, and a reason to be optimistic.
The simple reality is that you KNOW your ex has already fallen in love with you once in the past... when you first started dating, when you were in the "honeymoon phase"... your ex was probably madly in love with you at some point, and that gives you a huge advantage over anyone else who might be interested in your ex. This is great news, of course, because it means you know for sure that you and your ex are compatible, and you just need to become the same person your ex fell in love with back when you were together.
Fact #2: Romantic attraction is not a choice.
A lot of people fall into the trap of trying to talk their way back into their ex's heart. That's never going to work -- in fact, most of the time, it makes matters worse and will make your ex even less attracted to you. HOWEVER, because attraction and love aren't something we choose to feel, they're also emotions and feelings that we simply can't control or overpower with logic and reasoning.
Fact #3: There are scientifically proven ways to help your ex fall for you again.

Step #1: Let your ex go (for now).

Step #2 - Wipe the slate clean & start fresh.
The second step towards making your ex fall back in love with you involves re-setting their mental image of you. In essence, what's going on in the back of your ex's mind right now when they think about you and your time together as a couple is overwhelmingly negative… or at least, they're thinking about you as "the past" rather than a part of their future. That's something you need to change in order to win them back, obviously.
Step #3 - Plant the seeds of desire and attraction.
When you've begun to change your ex's negative perception of you -- something you'll already be well on your way to doing by employing the first two steps I just described -- it's time to slowly send him or her psychological messages that demonstrate the fact that you're still that attractive, bold, and charismatic person your ex remembered when you first met.

Hey brad, thanks for making these videos. It really helps me to get my emotions back together. I don't know if anyone can help me in my situation of a break up but mine's a bit unique. I dated my ex 3 times before breaking up for real. And we both tried to end this in good terms but things didn't go well, in the end we both gave each other hard feelings and were going through the no contact rule right now. But the thing is that after the break up, rather than just keeping those hard feeling for each other, I kinda just want to be friends with her as if our relationship didn't even exist in the first place. Don't feel bad. A breakup rarely ends well. Some do, but they're in the minority. Anyway being friends when the breakup is still fresh is a really bad idea. Give both yourselves time first to at least heal a bit and come back more calm and mature, okay?

It's time to find a more positive outlet for your emotions. It's totally okay to cry your eyes out (just NOT in front of your ex), this is healthy, but try to balance it with other stuff. So keep your mind occupied, get busy with a lot of stuff like hobbies, work, etc. focus on what makes you feel good and take time to heal as well. Hey Brad, what do you do when the ex comes back and wants to get back into the relationship but then break it off, again, because she needs to "make herself happy before she can make someone else happy."
Typical. Give it enough time because it's all part of the process when one goes through a breakup. Give it enough time where there's no contact between you and your ex for at least 30 days. A wide array of different emotions coming from an ex is somewhat expected when a breakup is still fresh and this includes the likelihood of your ex giving you mixed signals. Don't you recognize an opportunity when you see one? :-) Your ex is opening the lines of communication which is a perfect opportunity for you to transition into phase two. I was in a relationship for more than a year but for my insecurity and neediness we started fighting a lot and he started losing his interest. Initially he asked for space then he broke up. This no contact is a challenge in my situation. We have kids together. So is almost impossible not to communicate with him. I leave our conversations as to just about our children. However there are times he wishes me a good day or night. Or encourages me not to lose hope...since I've been looking for a job. I know we have strong chemistry and trust each other. Our lack of communication was the key that killed our relationship.

She's lost attraction for you and it's a terrible idea to be friends with her. The boundaries won't be clear and you're technically both free to date other people. Wouldn't it be pure torture if your ex dates someone else in front of you because you're only "friends" now, don't you think? So it’s not a good idea, especially if you want this ex back. The best thing to do right now is to admit to your ex that you've effed up and try to be patient and sympathetic with what your ex is going through and just disappear from your ex's life for a while, because right now, you are a constant reminder of the pain and your ex needs to heal from that first. And saying sorry is not gonna fix that right away, it takes time. By cheating, you're automatically putting the ball in your ex's court and have lost privilege to take your power back in all this. It's up to your ex now and how soon they can forgive you and move on from the incident, not necessarily from the relationship although some people do that. Maybe stop trying to look at your ex's profile/messages/snaps, posts,etc.? An essential part of the "no contact" rule is to turn your focus inwards, and looking at what your ex is doing and whatnot largely deviates from that point, don't you think?

Hey, Brad it's been a while since I showed my face in the comments section, months actually, but i'm here to say that what I did right was successful, but I did a lot wrong. I accidentally told her I still loved her directly after she had admitted the same. Unfortunately, i'm an unsuccessful case and her new bf from Canada is coming the 31st of this month. We're just going to be acquaintances from now on. I am happy to say that I MAY be going with another girl here pretty soon. I've had plenty of time to realize that i'm better off this way. If you do have to make some changes, then do it for yourself and never for anyone else, okay? See, making changes for the sake of someone is considered seeking validation, and that's an unattractive trait in and of itself… so it naturally won't do anything to rebuild the attraction necessary to get your ex back. On the other hand, if these are changes that you know within yourself that you need to make, then it's important to take time so be sure you aren’t rushing it because permanent, lasting changes don't happen overnight and your ex can actually see through it. Your ex is most likely lying about the reason of the breakup so try not to fall for that. However, the bottom line is your ex has significantly lost attraction. Hi brad. In February I told my Ex I needed a break (after two years in a relationship). Then about two months ago I broke up with him, because I didn’t wanted him to wait so long for me. I broke up with my bf 2 weeks ago because he had become distant. He had started off so excited and even told me he loved me after our first month. He;s obviously thriving, so you should, too. It's time to find a more positive outlet for your emotions. It's totally okay to cry your eyes out (just NOT in front of your ex), this is healthy, but try to balance it with other stuff. So keep your mind occupied, get busy with a lot of stuff like hobbies, work, etc. focus on what makes you feel good and take time to heal as well. What about when the relationship ended because of mental illness. My ex broke up with me a few days ago now we'd been separated for a month but we'd been together for 4 1/2 years but during that time my untreated bipolar caused us allot of problems. That's it my bipolar broke us up she wanted me to get help but I couldn't yet because I was scared she begged me for months before I decided to do it cause I was tires of feeling terrible all the time. We separated in August and broke up officially three days ago. Is it possible to get her back she's a wonderful woman supportive we had a great life when my illness wasn't flared up and making me say horrible things too her and I just want us to be able to be happy together again.
Maintaining a struggling relationship while also struggling with depression at the same time can be too much for most people and it appears as this has a taken a toll on your ex and your relationship. A relationship needs two healthy people in it in order for it to thrive. Get the help you need first and the rest will fall into place. Do not downplay depression or any other type of mental illness because that's a tricky one! Right now, stuff can just be way too draining for you both, so focus on you first. Okay? Take care!

About three moths ago my bf broke up with me because he was not ready for a relationship.
I applied nc rule and it worked. About a moth ago he started talking about getting back together. He even talked about living together.
Yesterday he was drunk and went missing in my friends cabin. I was looking for him over an hour and then he finely picked up his phone and told me that he went for a walk.

Hi Brad. Im a dental student. Was in a 7 year relationship with a lady . And we spent 4 years everyday together when I was a med student but the most recent 3 years has been long distance due to the fact that I'm studying dentistry in another varsity. Your ex is most likely lying about the reason of the breakup so try not to fall for that. However, the bottom line is your ex has significantly lost attraction. I was his rebound girl, after 1 month and 20 days of being together we broke up, he told me he wasn't ready yet and that he still love his ex, i want him so bad. I really hate to burst your bubble here but let him finish whatever unfinished business he has with this ex. Sorry, but there's not much you can do at this point, especially if your relationship only lasted a short while and more so if he’s seemingly (subconsciously or not) used you as a rebound, for your ex to jump back too quickly with her. i really need to ask you a question , my ex girlfriend blocked me on whatsapp instagram and whatever sort you could think of . one day , i kinda felt that she was using her friend’s account(someone who follows me) to stalk my instagram stories . so i did an experiment and hid my instagram stories from her friend’s account . however now , my ex uses her spam account which does not follow me on instagram (means she has to literally type my instagram username in the search bar to look for my profile and stalk me) to see my instagram stories right after i hid my stories from her friend’s account. why is she stalking me or why is she doing this ? do i still have any hope ? ps; we broke up about 3 months ago but officially stopped talking for about less than a month from now , and she has a new boyfriend . do you think she’ll come back to me one day ? i hope to hear your reply soon

In this type of situation, try to limit your contact with your ex. And by that I mean only interact with her "only" when absolutely necessary. My ex and I broke up 2/10/19, we were together for 1 year and 4 months. Our relationship was long distance. After breaking up I begged and pleaded and stayed in contact with her for 2 months. I found out she had a new same state boyfriend, so I started no contact and broke it after 3 weeks. (she reached out to me at 2 weeks but I stuck to no contact for a few more days.) Her and I had a 2 hour conversation over the ohone, she told me things like "I still feel like you're my soulmate", and other romantic things.. but she said that she feels like l I deserve better and shouldn't have to wait for her anymore. she has even told me she is just using the new relationship as a distraction. I really love this girl Brad and would like to get her back, please help me.
It's time to find a more positive outlet for your emotions. It's totally okay to cry your eyes out (just NOT in front of your ex), this is healthy, but try to balance it with other stuff. So keep your mind occupied, get busy with a lot of stuff like hobbies, work, etc. focus on what makes you feel good and take time to heal as well.
