I worked at the downtown Vancouver library and rely we got treated like those horses my creepy guys. We had panic buttons
The sign clearly says the horse may bite & she is encouraging people to pet it & saying it won't bite them. Total disregard for the sign. That horse would have just cause to bite her hand off. I would love to have a front row seat if it did. That would teach her a lesson. Then again she may laugh about that too. Kick her off the premises. She is clearly stressing the horses out.
Never have I ever wanted the horse to kick someone more than now. Honestly, she just keeps coming back day after day.

Horses are very empathetic and can sense trouble a mile away. This horse was clearly uncomfortable with her around.

How dare she grab someone’s child and try to put her close to the horse..she doesn’t know whether the horse will bite, or stomp on a child’s foot, let alone kick. Disgusting. Someone needs to ask her not to be so selfish, get out of the way so people can have a pic taken without her in it.

I saw that in another video after she'd monopolized the horse for quite some time a tourist woman finally pushed her out of the way so she could have her own picture taken.

I'm from the UK and visited London at lot as my husband used to live on the outskirts of the city, not once did I ever touch the horse, and always thanked the guards. If she said to be me go ahead with my picture I'd be telling her I do not need her permission, she is not the guard not the horses keeper.

I think the reason why the parents allow this is because they believe she works there. They believe she was a qualified babysitter or a horse whisperer. They think she's the ostler, someone who knows the horse...but she's not!!!!

Tourists engage with her, because it’s the first time they have met her. She chats with them, appears knowledgeable which in turn feeds into her self importance. She's figured out people are filming her and putting it online. They'll never get rid if her now unless she's banned outside a perimeter of distance. People who don't adhear to social boundaries and act inappropriately on purpose drive me nuts.
This woman appears to be mildly hypomanic, which would probably explain her inability to understand and accept good advice about her rather overbearing interaction with the horses and accosting other peoples children inappropriately to stroke the animals. Whilst she doesn't appear to be an overt risk to others her lack of insight puts her and the children at risk.

I believe her to have some sort of delusions that her presence is needed that she is helping things run smoothly my opinion she is mentally ill.
You just have to watch her torment the horse AND the guard (she thinks it funny).
She monopolises any photo taking by real tourists, she also has this manic laugh that would worry me if I were near her.

There is so much abuse that these guards put up with on a daily basis. I for one feel that there should be a roped off area and then the horse and guards are NOT BEING TOUCHED ANYMORE!!!!!!
If the horses and guards were roped-off, it would completely undermine the idea of having guards in the first place.
They do play a ceremonial role, and they do wear ceremonial dress, but they’re still trained and experienced soldiers posted there to literally guard, not easy if something kicks-off and you’re roped-off from the situation.

I often see comments like, "it's not as if they're REALLY guarding anyone!" Hint, hint, it's in the name. Imagine if someone said that sort of thing about the sentinels that guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington. Or worse, imagine her behaving this way over there.
It feels like everyone in a position of power has their hands tied, and they're too afraid to ruffle feathers. I realise that tourism and the money it provides is very important, but I don't think anyone would complain about her being dragged off in cuffs.

The police officer is within the law to search her backpack if the Guard feels threatened. They should haze her with detention and search every single time she turns up and the Guards should ensure the horses crowd her whenever she's close. She's a threat.

I'm amazed that she isn't seriously confronted by both the police and the general public. There shouldn't be a polite request to desist but something really in her face. The system that allows this kind of behaviour to continue is very broken.

I’m astonished that the second guard allowed so much contact, how does he know they aren’t feeding the horse with all kinds of crap? I say again, the public should not be allowed to get so close. It detracts from what the guard is supposed to be all about, and is demeaning to them. I also think the armed police officers were humouring her too much, they were reacting and making eye contact with her when their attention should’ve been completely focused on the surroundings and the crowd. Even a couple of seconds delay in reacting to an emergency situation could be the difference between life or death, surely they are trained to be aware of that? If I was in their shoes and someone tried to monopolise my attention like that, it would ring alarm bells.

Our soldiers who guard that tomb don't put up with any crap from the tourists, at all! They demand respect, and certainly aren't afraid of offending the public. This wouldn't fly here, that's for sure. I don't understand why it's allowed here.

It boggles my mind that she can do this. I had a chestnut quarter horse named Ginger a few years ago and my horse would have bit and kicked her. Ginger was abused before I got her, with my friends and other horses we showed her what love was truly like.
I had a Welsh cob mare named Vixen who was exactly the same. She was fine with me because we had a really strong bond but she would have taken a chunk out that woman. She didn't even have the excuse of being abused either she was just a typical bad tempered chestnut mare. 😂
@@MrHarryHewitt1983 thanks for the comment, my Ginger was named after Ginger from Black Beauty. When we got her she'd be in her stall at night and I read that book to her. I think she enjoyed it. She ended up being used to help teach the fillies and colts their manners after being weened and out in the large field we had them in. She was old, I forget how old she was, when she passed away, but we gave her last 5 years that we had her full of love, food and good memories.

If the armed officer revoked the groups right to be there because of that one guy harassing the guard in the arches, then WHY didn't they revoke her right to be there as well? SHE TRULY WAS HARASSING BOTH THE GUARDS AND THE HORSES. Just glad she is gone now.

I don't understand why they continue to allow this woman to do the things she's doing! She constantly has her hands in the horses' mouths(who knows what's on them!), pets the horses until they're clearly agitated, interferes w visitors. Even goes as far as grabbing other people's children & tries to pull them towards the horse even when it's obvious the child's afraid. Covid is still a health concern, but yet she's always in people's faces & giving "high fives". It's not a question if she'll contribute to an accident, it's when!! They need a restraining order to keep this woman a certain distance from the horses for everyone's safety. Sorry for the rant, but she's clearly putting herself & others in danger

Someone should make a complaint to the CO and the police regarding this woman’s continuing harassment of the horses and the guards.
ALL of them know about and of her. The poor soldiers are under fierce stress from her deluded behaviour. Pure madness they let it continue. Long past due she was permanently removed. Hard labor somewhere and put that entitled attitude to positive use instead of this nonsense.
I think it'd take a few complaints from the tourists, to get anything done though. I wonder how many peoples pics have had to be cropped to get her out of their photos? Ugh.
