      Ok so I left a comment about how to get them to stop growing back. If you relax your pores with hot steam towels after exfoliating with a face scrub. Both will help prep the skin to release the sebum buildup much easier. Then do the strip or sticky mask. When it’s ready you pull it off, ect.. then use an old style astringent, witchhazel, alcohol, my fav is bactine to shock the pores closed. This will hurt a bit, but it’s killing the germs under the skin on the pores that are causing them to grow back. And the final step, cold water rinse to close the pores that last little bit. Moisturize with something that has soothing properties and replenishes your pores with vitamins. Sorry that was a lot 😬🙏

    I’ve done this for people in the past who had horrible build up and I know that this may seem weird but I close the pores up with bactine, and then the harsh and painful alcohol to cause the pores to freak out and close. I’ve had pretty good results with their pores not rebuilding the build up again. I’m not a dr. I’m just a cosmetologist that had had to improvise at certain times. But I’ve had two products that always worked magic, baking soda to exfoliate and good old bactine as a toner and disinfectant with open pores and acne.

      Maybe you’re like me and you might want to fight these with oils instead. I have been doing skin oils for cleansing. I will wash my face and get all the gunk from the day off as much as possible, then apply a good amount of the oil and as I’m laying down in bed about to fall asleep I’ll just be using circular motions to get the oils in, especially around the nose, and stuff starts to come out. I then wipe it all down with a dry fresh hand towel and go to bed. Been working darn good. Better than when I was doing salicylic acid cleansers.

Ponds cold cream works really well and if you have sensitivities I would recommend just using the bliss mighty biome balm in the same way. Then following up with toner if you can. But really get in there and massage lots of circles in the face to really get in there and the gunk will follow. Then just wipe with a towel. • @pianeff4162
      @pianeff4162 2 місяці тому +2

      I’ve never heard of retinol being bad for young skin (although it is usually formulated for wrinkles, all it does is speed up cell turnover just like all retin-a products do which will simultaneously help with both acne and wrinkles)
      I started early with adapalene, which is a derivative of retin-a just like retinol and tretinoin. It’s often prescribed for teens and it’s formulated with acne in mind. You can get Differin gel in the lowest percentage at your local drugstore without a prescription. It’s a really good start, I still use it to this day but that’s because I haven’t been able to find a retinol that has non-comedogenic ingredients, at least Differin won’t clog my pores.
      This is a bit off topic, but I swear by spearmint vitamin capsules. No topical has ever cleared my acne since it’s caused by hormones. Only spearmint balances androgens (the hormone that usually causes acne, spearmint usually works for most people unless it’s caused by another type of hormonal imbalance) so don’t try peppermint, it won’t work.

    • @Ryncof

      I personally wouldn’t use retinol till your late 20’s. I have always had these sebaceous filaments and when I was your age I had perfect skin till my 20’s when I tried using a ton of products not knowing what the heck I was doing. I thought I was using them correctly and it turns out I was stripping my protective skin barrier and giving myself closed commodomes. I litterally gave myself the worst acne ever. Pimples and redness all over my face …. Nothing helped for months it kept getting worse. The only thing that helped it go back to normal was tretioin and gentle cleansing with cereve. I still to this day at 35 have sebaceous filaments ….. no one can see them but us !! My skin is glowing now and I swear it’s because I had to learn my lesson on product use. You do not need retinol or any extensive product at 15… wash your face morning and night with cereve and use cereve lotion and sunscreen and you will have gorgeous skin. Your face is still growing! And you will gather the knowledge to use retinols and acids etc…. Later on! Dont temporarily ruin your skin like i did! Best of luck

    Do I just apply Salicylic acid on my nose and leave it there or do I wash it off after a bit?

      Tthere are Salicylic Acid Serums and Toners that would be left on the skin. There are also Salicylic Acid Masks that would be wash off.

    I'm so sick of them selling products. *It is impossible to completely prevent sebaceous filaments. Scarring ONLY occurs when you let black heads get too big, because it stretches out your pores.*

      Existem produtos para fechar os poros logo após limpeza, no entanto é normal que a gordura e a poeira se acumulem nos poros, pois esses são a primeira camada protetora da pele, não devemos deixá-los entupidos por muito tempo, a limpeza deve ser regular para ter uma pele saudável !!!

    what pore strip is that?

  • @SilverScaleMA
    @SilverScaleMA Місяць тому

    What I use pore strips for is when it inevitably gets to the point that the pores are just clogged so much that the cleaners and exfoliation just doesn't do anything to actually clear it out and it just sticks around and I inevitably get infected pores. Usually it happens right after a severe seasonal allergy outbreak or a cold/flu, even if I am washing my face as often or more than normal the extra factors just cause more gunk than the cleaner alone can handle. The pore strips, or for small isolated areas the pimple patches, are about the only thing that can clear my skin up once it gets to that point. So they are useful but at the same time they do need to be used properly, as soon as I use the pore strips I also directly follow it up with another good washing and a good dabbing of witch hazel to thoroughly sanitize and tighen the pores back up so they *don't* just refill instantly. If you don't do that the strips are pretty worthless and will damage your skin if you use them too frequently.

    I tried those strips and nothing came out! I tried several different brands and nothing. There is definitely fat in my nose and Im kind of addicted to remove it by pinching the nose with my fingers. I’ve read that is the worse method and I believe it, but nothing else Ive tried does the job.
    I feel like the skin is not clean as far as that fat is there, I can also smell it ;( I just hate it.
    Does anyone have a recommendation for good black heads removal strips? Something I can find in Germany? Amazon maybe?
