Played this piece in high school(more than once), and it's by far one of my all time favorite pieces I ever played. I played 1st clarinet, and it's such a fun part.
Sick, I just site read this yesterday and it is an amazing piece, I also played The Witch and the Saint last year. I play bass trombone and the parts are so much fun to play.
I played this once in middle school and it immediately became my all time favorite. I played 2nd horn, basically first because I played all first parts except the solo.
I also was 1st Clarient, one of the best songs I ever played
Bro same it was so so so fun
CLARINET BROOOS
Just got this song for high school band as the only piccolo and let's just say it's a banger to listen to during all of my resting
I love it as a fellow piccolo, but switching between flute and picc kills me 😭
High school? I’m doing this in 7th grade!
@@cjodol3271 thats great. Lets stay humble now.
@@cjodol3271 7th?! IM DOING IT IN 6TH!
lmao my friend plays picc and she always looks at me while I'm playing and she's resting with a sad look on her face and I start laughing
Played this for honor band. At the ending, i could visibly see all the other school band members who were forced to play only classic marching music watch in awe.
Loved playing the flute for this. Nostalgic of those high school band days lol
I know right! The flute is such a fun part.
I played this in Eight grade. Now I'm a college sophomore and I still get chills. I played the xylo in this song.
Such a rewarding piece when it's all put together. Played it my Freshman year of high school, and after making GMEA my Senior year and playing hundreds of pieces throughout High School Band.... This is still my all-time favorite arrangement.
Playing this for my winter concert, I play Trumpet :))))
SUCH A SLAY
When I graduated in 2017, our band chose this as our senior song. I was a tuba that year but previous years I was trumpet. Still love it
My band just got this for our spring concert, and as someone who's played tuba for 7 years, this is a he'll of a song to get introduced to tuba by, it's brutal
@@antcorn738 haha I'm responding from my other account. I loved it so much. I actually picked my trumpet back up for the first time since 2016. It's getting repaired and cleaned. I joined a community band and I may become one of their other tuba players as well after I get back into it
Bro
Same here
My graduation is in three days and we chose this song as our senior song
I also play tuba
@@kaelubpetty6869 hell yeah fellow tuba player
@@kaelubpetty6869 haha just played this as my senior song a few days ago on tenor sax, very awesome arrangement

The best for this song is the saxophone alto and the hautbois
@@freakout9493 I play Euphonium, but I do support Baritones!
I will never forget playing this in high school, as a trumpet and having so much fun with those solos💛
Hi Emma!
I don't know what your college schedule would entail, but we just played this as our extravaganza piece and we're playing it again next Tuesday. You should totally come to the concert!
@@Woofrie if I can, I will!
I played this piece in my junior year of high school and even as seniors our whole band sings PRAISES to this piece
I love this piece. For my final senior assessment piece in Music, I chose to conduct my school's symphonic band in a performance of this. It was incredibly rewarding, and I'll never forget just how fun it was to conduct this piece, and how beautiful it sounded. 100% I recommend playing this piece in your school's band at least once.
Playing this for my spring concert on Euphonium and I’m so excited !!
I am playing this song as the closer of my collage concert and my band directors last concert piece. Before graduation and moving to elementary music next year.
playing this for my spring concert as the only bari sax in the band
Brings back memories of tackling all of the percussion parts with just 4 percussionists, such a chaotic fun experience
i had to play all of the mallet percussion😍there were only 4 people in our high school percussion class
Good piece, has a lot of Planets Suite-sounding parts in it.
Also playing for winter concert this week, on bass trombone. Probably one of the best pieces our band has done (it’s only been around for 3 years as of right now)
Hey bro how did it go? My bands gonna playing it for the spring concert and I’m excited 😁
@@xlordzz8740 it went very well! Piece came together nicely and ended the concert on a great note! Take it all in when you play, and enjoy it most of all!
Played this in high school as a junior and one of the - in total - two oboists in my school. Love it to this day
I played this in 8th grade and I have been looking for this song for the past 6 years
Playing This For Winter Concert
French Horn
Do you have the solo?
@@thenarwhal8260 I Have The One At 139. My Classmate Who has Played Horn longer Than me has the other 2
I loved playing Steven Reineke back in high school. There's so much good parts and every section gets to shine in his piece. We won a competition while playing pilatus mountain of dragons and I still can remember my director shaking at the end because we played it so well even with the stress. So many great memories
I played this back in seventh grade at a competition. We traveled for it and everything, then landed a superior with distinction. It is still one of the greatest experiences of my musical career, such a fun piece. I was lucky enough to play 1st clarinet
Festival?
What an awesome song to get to play bass clarinet for
as a bass clarinetist who played this, you are so correct
My school band (I'm a junior) is learning this song right now and as a trombone it's so much fucking fun, I actually get to play the cool part

I LOVE THIS PIECE
I played this at a university's summer band camp one time on the tuba and it was by far the Greatest experience I've ever had
Played this for area all state, now im going to be playing it again in wind ensamble. W
I played this a year ago with my highschool band for our spring concert, and it's stuck with me since. If I recall correctly, low brass represents Loki, Norse god of mischief, and at the time I admired the whole god of mischief thing, and was glad to play their role in the piece. Well, a year later, and I change my name because I really disliked it. And my nickname, given to me by a friend of mine, is Loki. I suppose it all came full circle. This piece means so much to me, for more than just this, but especially this.
Just got this piece the other day I play first clarinet and I already love this piece
I like the bass clarinet part in this piece.
I am a 7th grader and we are playing this right now, it’s a very fun song.
I am in 7th grade, and I am currently playing Eiger by James Swearington. Good luck with this piece lol
@@Hywars Why couldn’t I get trumpet 1 in 7th grade🥲
Currently heading to a nearby college to go play this for my last clinic, this song is amazing and challenging
I'm a second trumpet and I just got this piece. It is so fun omg.

Miss playing this in music class in HS.

I’m playing this in spring for my last year in eight grade
last year in 8th grade? 8th grade is only 1 year 😭
@@Jone_V oops I meant the ending of 8th grade my bad
I loved playing this song in high school especially since our director had us come up with a story to go with the music so we could play the song while imagining what was happening in the story to help us "get into the feelings of the song"
Playing this for my spring concert and insanely nervous because I have a solo in it
I am currently using the ballad section of this song as the ballad of my Drum Corps Show. This ballad fills you with a sense of inner peace right after a hectic and stress inducing situation. And that perfectly fits what I intended. W music 3:45 - 5:23
Got this piece for spring concert this year, senior.
I'm the only French Horn, wish me luck!
I will never forget this piece. My fave i ever played besides Jericho behind the wall
I'm the trombone soloist at my school for this song. I'm really excited!
I’m playing second clarinet for the second time but this time I’m also switching to oboe! I’m so excited, learning oboe has been so much fun.
Im playing this piece for my spring concert, im currently in grade 9 and playing trombone 2. wish me luck
Playing the timpani part for this song is an absolute blast
as a timpani player I can confirm
the tuning changes are a little annoying
but still its pretty fun
Played this in fifth grade and it was the best song I've ever played (I play clarinet)
This was one of my favorites in HS Band. It’s the first piece I played both Trombone 1 and Tuba for
Cool! I also play trombone 1 and Tuba for the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble!

i just love the bari sax part at 2:35 so much omg
When the low woodwinds don’t have the most boring part in the world😮
I played this back in 2002 when I was in HS, and it inspired me to switch from flute to Oboe in my hs symphonic band... firing me off on a long career in music performance and songwriting. Can't understate this piece's importance in my life, and it still holds up today!

6:10 Sounds like a action music from the Indiana Jones movie.

Should be spelled "Andante Misterioso" - should not be "Mysterioso" because Italian does not use the letter "y" except in foreign words.
1:58
Idk why it gives me god of war vibes
