This is the best version of this song I have heard yet: from the balance between instruments to the absolutely amazing performance of the Oboist, I love this version so much. I am an Oboist in a high school band, and I have never played quite as beautifully as that Oboe solo-thus, that Oboist is whom I aspire to perform on the level of.
I've been in love with this composition since playing it in High School. That oboe player somehow delivered the best solo I've heard of that piece across all renditions. Bravo
I love and hate this song, it reminds me of when I was a freshman in high school and I forgot my music on concert night. I had to share with someone but i couldn’t really see, so I never really got the joy of playing this 😢
I played it frshman year also, and im a junior now but our seniors get to pick a piece they've played in highschool to repeat at the spring concert, and they chose this beauty!!
I am playing drum kit for this piece as my band is lacking percussion equipment. It's cool to see another recording with a drum kit player, the fills are nice
yo i did this once in middle school, only me and one other dude for percussion and so for one concert i played every piece on the drumset I had to play a snare drum, bass drum, drumset tambourine, hi hat, and crash cymbal for one piece all at the same time 😅 I luckily already played the drumset so the transition was smooth It was very fun, the piece was Skygazer Fanfare

This sound is incredible! The individual spread out bass is just stunning. Little lacking in international but you can practice that out.
