Agreed! Seriously spend a little coin and buy his mother her freedom! Not only should they have done that for the freaking CHOSEN ONE they should have set up a fund to buy and free all slaves.
Shhh don’t give Disney canon any ideas. They’ll read this and come up with a new comic where Mace Windu gives Anakin shit for using a fork instead of the Force
A bunch of people who Dooku would cut down in a single strike are gonna be hooting and hollering at Anakin for being "too aggressive" when like I said earlier Dooku would just toy with them like their toddlers.
“Anakin went the extra mile and cut off both hands.” We get a close up view of Dooku’s hands as it happens. Anakin doesn’t exactly have the option of only taking one hand. It was a quick move to disarm him, and his other hand just happened to be there. It would have been much more disturbing (ignoring the whole decapitation thing after) if Anakin had consciously chosen to sever only one hand as it implies he had enough control of the situation to not dismember him at all.
I immediately thought of that myself. He didn’t have a choice in the matter. He saw an opening and quickly took advantage of it. You can’t pass that up against a dangerous, powerful, and expert dualist of a Sith Lord.
I agree with your assessment there’s absolutely no way he could’ve prevented not cutting off both hands at the same time now his head was a totally different matter he wanted revenge
Also, Dooku was a Sith lord capable of using force lightning. It's not like just cutting off one hand would render him completely harmless. Take your eyes of him for a second and boom, lightning to the back.
Not jealous, they have a right to be concerned about Form 5, because when used by a fairly new adolescent Padawan it can tempt the user into going falling into the Darkside
The difference is that a Jedi could pull it back when the battle is over. Something Luke could do but Anakin could not. Look at Luke when he cut through to save Grogu. He was a MONSTER. But that faded immediately when the battle was decided. Anakin REMAINED that monster afterwards, like when he beheaded Dooku. We see this in Return of the Jedi too. When Luke taps into rage to knock down Vader, but then throws his saber aside when the battle was done.
It's almost like Luke had rejected the dogma of the order while Anakin tried to bend to its whims. Which makes every appearance after that hallway scene completely out-of-character for him.
In Legends, Luke leaned into the dark side too hard, to the point where he couldn't engage in battle with powerful Darksiders without a chance of turning himself. So from a certain point onward, he would fight them.
@@nairsheasterling9457 Luke rejected the dogma on relationships and having children because he thought families and love with children being trained from birth was the way to go. It's not like he did a complete 180 of the former organization.
@@A_Black_Sheep94 considering that was like, the central tenant, of the old jedi, he kinda did do a 180. The point was he proved them wrong and remained in the light, only to then try to cut off a padawan's head because he was being tempted by the dark side, instead of teaching him how to remain in the light.

Anakin: Does literally most of the work in the clone wars while the other council members just sit in their room The council: We do not grant you the rank of master
That's why the more i watched star wars, the more i agree that the jedi order got destroyed. I'm not agreeing with sith either, but being completely on one side sucks.
Dooku was evil through and through by that point, no act of disarming him should be deemed dishonourable. Obi-Wan has no qualms cutting off Vader’s non-saber arm and both legs 2 hours later. The more I think about it, the more it feels like the council is really corrupt. “Do as we say and not as we do.” Plus what Anakin did could be seen as a preemptive strike. By cutting off both hands it stops Dooku reaching for his lightsaber with the other hand.

When you're in a self-defense situation occasionally you do have to not only block your opponent's attacks, but also strike back at them. Therefore, if form 5 is used in a defense situation, but a Jedi senses the need to lean more offensively I can see how it could be used as a Light Side form.

This is spot on. It's also very in line with what Luke was able to do to Darth Vader himself after being provoked. Djem So was meant to be learned after other forms and ideally used in conjunction with them. When the Clone Wars became a reality many of the Jedi were simply training for sheer combat as opposed to knowledge of the forms and the Force. Djem So became the meta, so to speak, as opposed to something like Makashi of earlier eras.
Ive always thought the Jedi were too afraid of the dark side, so afraid that they limit themselves by staying so far away from it. Sometimes agression is the only solution, the only way to win. Anyone who can not accept this reality is naive. The Jedi tacitly accept this fact by simply training in lightsabre combat...

It's funny to me that Jedi train to fight, and either dismember, or kill an opponent but have forbidden techniques with swordplay. If you ignite your lightsaber, you mean to use it, efficiency would be one key to success, meaning you should be the one to win by using the blade effectively. It would be only bad if you relished dismembering or killing your opponent. Nonetheless, thanks as always for your unique perspective on various stories of Star Wars, you always create a good video that brings Legends and Canon stories to life and makes learning about SW fun/entertaining! 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Chopping off both hands from your opponent is Dishonourable? How about killing a surrendering enemy mace windu how do you consider that honourable? If anikan's version of form 5 is outlawed for being "Dishonourable" you might as well outlaw vappad as well for being Dishonourable since vappad is mace windu's version of form 7 to me the only honourable thing you can do once you chop both of the hands off is to show mercy to your defeated opponent it only becomes Dishonourable if you show no mercy even after chopping both hands off (I used the revenge of the sith scene when mace windu was determined to kill sidious even though he was unarmed opponent and at the mercy of mace windu even though killing sidious right then and there would of been the most Dishonourable thing to do for a jedi as well that's what I meant by "how about killing a surrendering enemy mace windu" And I strongly believe that if anikan's version of form 5 is to be outlawed then mace windu's version of form 7 should also be outlawed as well regardless vappad is based around the forbidden lightsaber form 7 and anikan's lightsaber form is based around form 5 so logically (to me anyway) vappad should never have been allowed due to being based around the forbidden form 7
Vapaad is based on Juyo. Juyo is much more aggressive than Djem So. All 7 Lightsaber forms have value for the Jedi to become better Jedi. Djem So like Juyo does required plenty of Self Control to master. Jedi does values self control

Anakin Skywalker lightsaber combat style was a bastardization of Form II, Form IV, Form V & Form VII the novels state that he was able to mix those form into a blade to blade combat, Form II as the basis of his blade to blade, Form IV for mobility and acrobatics, form V the Brute strength raw power amplified by the force and finally Form VII added the Vicious form to combat and Ferocity. As newly named Darth Vader. His combat form was almost complete. As he was much more faster, much more aggressive, much more brutal than the style he use as Anakin Skywalker
Darth Vader was much slower than Anakin. Man could barely walk. His form focused on being as robust and unbreakable as possible, so even though he wasn't fast, he never had to stop advancing, and could just break through anything he wanted.
@@skeptic_lemon slower? My man managed to stop sidious with his speed, and sidious was fast af, if not even faster than yoda Idk from where you just got that idea
@@Vuk3 What do you mean he stopped Sidious? If you're talking about the time when Vader actually kills Sidious, all that happens is that he lifts Sidious up and throws him into a pit. Sidious was standing completely still before Vader picked him up and Vader was right next to him. He wasn't fast at all. He never is. And I mean Vader's walking speed is very potent but compared to the acrobatics of the average Jedi or even just a regular person like me he's nothing. Vader can't jump, can't run, can't do anything. If you're talking about the speed he swung the blade, than I don't think he's any faster. Vader never was faster than Anakin on Mustafar.
Jedi will outlaw an offensive style that will give Jedi an edge in battle but didn't bat an eye towards a style whose whole purpose is to flirt with the dark side in order to gain an edge in a fight
I find it kinda of funny that with all the advance tech in Star Wars that no one had thought to research the science of reattaching someone’s limbs after they had been cut off instead they figured attaching a cybernetic limb which just seems like it would be a much more difficult thing to do and not what someone would want done especially when it comes to using certain force powers like force lightening. I do agree the beheading was against everything the Jedi seem to believe in and was a complete loss of control by Skywalker but the removal of the hands seemed like a good idea since force lightening was a force power Dooku also so possessed. So makes since to completely disarm your opponent but not kill him execution style. Great video though awesome content thanks.
Well... Lasers that hot would realistically not cut clean as it would combust and "blow up" parts of where it cuts you. I don't think reattaching burned flesh and fried nerves is that viable even that far into the future.
Well given how most jedi were totally useless in lightsaber combat in the beginning of the clone war if the council banned every aggressive form no one would be able to use a lightsaber the jedi were meant to stress order and balance on the flip side if they did away with djem so they would also have to do away with shien as well form 5 was meant to be offensive it would also affect the study teaching and practice of forms 6 and 8 also known as shokan so banning djem so would have been totally stupid
@@darth.dominus.the.savage I always preferred reading about the jedi sentinel path in the fact it was balanced it is surprising that most lightsaber forms are attack oriented or could be interpreted as aggressive jedi sentinels favored forms 4-5 and they used more often than not a double bladed lightsaber anyone who favored form 6 which favored balance could have implemented forms 4-5 while favoring usages of the force form 8 also implemented those two forms as well while making t he most of their own environment or terrain a form is only as good as the user who implements it

I like the idea of no dark no light but balance. So that being said it's the user and that user's intentions as well as the intent of the force. That being said you can't really say a form is bad or good. It's the user and the intent of that user. The force takes care of the rest
@@lazytommy0 when I saw this comment I was like wait a minute, pretty sure there was a comic about it, after like 20 minutes of googling, I ended up finding it. Lol
Sorry but I'd cut off both of Count Dooku's hands too. The dude was a master lightsaber duelist and a major threat. I mean he could've just got some cybernetic hands and no lasting harm would've been done if Anakin hadn't killed him. Nothing dishonourable about that, just sensible. The beheading on the other hand was overkill.
For real, he didn't really have a choice anyway. His hands were together, how would he cut one off without hitting the other? Not to mention I'm sure dooku could still hold his own with one hand
Dooku detested cybernetics so I'm pretty sure he'd be so petty that he'd just remain with stubbies if he actually survived. As for Anakin killing him, even though it was deserved, it was still incredibly stupid and wrong of him. Dooku was literally defenseless, and status as a villain aside, he had a LOT of intel that he could've offered the Republic if captured and interrogated properly. While I'm not sure if Legends Dooku would've actually folded or if Sidious in either continuity would've found some other way to have him killed, Canon Dooku could've testified alongside Maul if they had both been successfully captured
@@mercury2157 lmao now I'm picturing dooku clumsily trying to pilot a ship with no hands. He'd have to get cybernetics otherwise he'd have to just retire, and I don't think the sith have a good enough pension plan for that 🤣
Sure considered "dishonorable" or least questionable... Though apparently they was ready to be rid of Dooku so they hypocritically "la, la, la- yeah we don't care, shake it off kid, Dooku had it coming..." An dismissed Anakin's remorse at ending him with lil more then a hand wave. Some probably even hypocritically saw it as poetic justice an ironic cosmic karma too. Dooku took his arm, Anakin took his hands an finally his head.
Initially, it was confusing to me why some Jedi were held in the highest regards for there genius in lightsaber skills and tactics, while others who utilized the same or variants of the same forms were frowned upon. The more I looked into the subject, I began to realize that it wasn't the forms or there variants, it was the Jedi's sense of the yi/intent of the users at that particular time. I definitely don't think the form should be banned. In my mind, I feel that it's a great accomplishment for any force user to weild even the most aggressive and powerful techniques with such control and grace.
Djem So shouldn't of been. Problem is Jedi has a huge problem teaching Jedi to deal with their emotions. Yoda was typical of this of "let go". Instead of saying "you must analyze your emotions, understand them, embrace them then use logic to deal with them."
Ever seen the problem of a teacher trying to teach 100 students at once? No, this isn't about Padawan and Teacher, but the council spreading itself thin This is why the council did stupid choices frequently.
Form V seems to be a light side version of Form VII, though as Bane said it helps a Sith to remain in control versus becoming a rapid warrior when using Form VII. That’s one thing I find very intriguing about both Jedi and Sith is that in order for one to win over the other it’s about control. Yes the Sith are fueled by hatred, aggression, and passion in their fights but it has to be focused and aimed in order to beat the very top tier of Jedi. Likewise, Jedi have their own passion in the form of love and calmness. Only when disturbed or thrown out of focus does a Jedi get bested, hence why Obi-Wan rarely lost until his rematch with Maul on the cargo freighter or with Vader in their first encounter during the season.
I think a Little doon-mock was used against Obi-wan v Vader 2 or 3 if you count rise of sith. I like to think A. Skywalker's variant of form 5 was as M. Windu's vapad was of form 7 . Using the dark side young Skywalker is . . . mmmmm , with dgem suo - stronger with his attacks in this form he has grown - yes stronger but shrouded with the dark side they are . . . Yes ! Mmmmm. Lol . Maybe why Made Windu wouldn't even think about training Anakin in vapad. ❔ He might of seen that Anakin was and had been tapping into the dark side unknowingly or KNOWINGLY ❔🤔❔
@@jamesomeara1172 That’s very true though Mace should’ve been his teacher from the beginning. Not only to have a stern teacher and father figure, but to also show the Chosen One the Light and the Dark as he should’ve been shown. It’s understandable that Diba Delaba almost lost herself to the Dark when Mace showed her Vapaad yet Anakin should’ve been shown the form due to his own inner darkness being present in the very beginning as well as being THE Chosen One to bring balance to The Force. Still though history is as written sadly for Anakin’s tragedy and eventual redemption.
I for one am a proponent for the style. I support the fact that Anakin made improvement to the style. I always imagined that if I could have been a Jedi or Sith Djem So/a hybridization of the Djem So and the other six forms would be my style.
Obi Wan Kenobi was a real sad story He was the worst hating Anakin. Remember when Padme fell from the ship ; Anakin was on it. Obi wan telling him not to go help her. Technically that was Anakin's Duties to Protect the Senate not leave her stranded With a clone Trooper.
In many ways it typically is. It's hard to stop a strong attack. An if your the attacker all you need do is not get too carried away. That's when problems start. Problem with NEVER attacking at all is one can only then defend for so long. That's part of why ONLY defense is always so much harder an near impossible for vast majority an it's usually best to mix the 2 into custom individual strategies
Maybe the Jedi needed to be challenged by their own dark side more. Just to be prepared for the power that lies within them and could destroy them. The offensive fighting style that Anakin perfected should not have been outlawed

I think it's fine. It's all about the intent during battle and self control. Three lack of self control and raw, physical power is what makes it so dangerous. Imagine Qui Gon or Obi Wan using it?!
I thought that anakin's lightsaber form was a combination of Form IV and Form V. Using the dueling variant of Form V with the aggressive part of Form IV. This combination is interesting because it is the almost the same variant of Plo Koon.
The jedi were jealous of Anakin's power and did everything that they could to hold him back , they wanted to make Anakin as weak and pathetic as they were.
Now that I've seen everything about Anakin, if the council just, let Anakin grow and train in all aspects of the Jedi, from force power to lightsaber combat, he would have literally never needed to think about turning to the dark side. Everyone can see why Anakin was so upset, angry and betrayed, everyone who knows this story, we all realize that if you have the chosen one, you don't hold him back, you unleash him 100%, his heart was always in the right place from the beginning, and sure, there were elements of his combat and force that showed some of the dark side, but he used his anger and pain for good up until order 66, always ending in the light side of things. He only turned to the dark side because the people in the light simply lived in their own fear of him, basically as hypocrites, all this talk of fear and anger being bad, and the jedi teaching him lived in that same fear, he was never truly evil, he was just manipulated, his heart was never truly in the wrong place, it is the Jedi's fault for Anakin becoming Darth Vader.
@@jonathonpoloski917you’re close, the Jedi were always living in fear of the future. This meant instead of seeing anakin as he was in the force they worried about what he would become. This lead them to making decisions that ended up bringing that out. If they had followed their own code for visions, they would have made decisions that probably would have pushed anakin to form 6 to master all aspects of the force. They lived so much in the what could be they couldn’t see what was
I don't think awaking removing both of dookus hands was out of line. Dooku used a lot of force lightning so the other hand was still basically a deadly weapon.
Form 4 and form 1 Both are very wide in how it can be aplacated. Also if you master both and combine them you could probably beat every one from yoda to mace to sidiuos
I have always been a fan of combining Form 1, Form 3, and Form 5. Good strong basic attacks of Form 1, with good strong defense with Form 3, with good footwork and counter attacks from Form 5. I have always thought that the precision and footwork of Form 2 would work quite well with blaster deflections (catching, parrying/deflecting blade strikes from a lightsaber would be very similar to blaster deflections). I never understood the "reasoning" of why it is supposed to not work as well.
Never, It's stated Sidious had direct mastery over all styles but not "the best" of any style. Anakins form 5 was a hybrid using other style methods. Djem So's biggest weakness was mobility and it was restrictive in that area to it's users. Anakin merged the force mobility of Form 4 into Form 5 (I assume he also taught this to Ahsoka given her extremely high mobility use of Form 5) and it's another aspect of what made his version so dangerous. ??Dooku master of 2?? I can't remember if or not he actually had complete mastery over it. Needless to say he was really strong with it. Obiwan was the master of III Yoda was the master of IV Anakin was the master of V Windu was the master of VII These status's meant that they found a way to go beyond the limitations everyone else ran into with the styles or rather methods to counter the weaknesses of the styles themselves and exploit them to their absolute fullest ability. Now back on Sidious he was so gifted even someone like Maul was terrified of him in a 2 v 1 against two VERY talented saber duelist. Maul was mainly a Form VII user but if you notice against Sidious he immediately opens w/ the Soresu/Form III (defensive) stance. This is the only time you ever see Maul inacting a defensive stance.
@@zachrobinson6801 Anakin was supposed to balance light and dark he was perfect for it. Instead the Jedi trained him to be only light and suppress his dark not truly understanding the force or the chosen one.
@@joshkrause2977 No it’s not and the Mortis arc even shows that. The Dark Side ALWAYS tried to corrupt and expand and contaminate everything. That is why destroying the Sith brings balance. The Jedi should have been more prepared for the dark side that was taken over. Anakin was born to bring a shift and if the Jedi knew they were losing and the dark side clouded their judgment, they should have listened to Anakin
The jedi order fell into a "better safe than sorry" attitude that led to their ultimate downfall. They took took free will out of the equation rather than trying to understand the dark side and still choosing to not turn. Jedi that dabble in the dark side yet remain light are always the strongest jedi.
It should of been placed in the same kind of archive that Mace had to access to develop Vapaad as Darth Bane primarily using the form just says how dangerous the form is to a Jedi
Dooku had both hands on the saber when Ani cut them off. The council precipitated its own fall and that of the order. They tried to make members robotic.
I didn't check all the comments but scanned a few so I apologize if someone else touched on this, but Dooku had BOTH hands on the hilt of his lightsaber. Anakin cut the hands that were holding it. If he had cut off only 1 Dooku would have been able to retain control of his weapon.
It's meant to be about " BALANCE " and before his mother's murder he used it in balance just tipping the scales slightly for a few split seconds didn't turn him before and actually Although he musta been tapping into the dark side momentarily I believe he was still in control, well up untill Sidious twisted his mind with his manipulation.
Pretty much anything can be abused. I am torn between whether I would focus on Form 2 and 3 or Form 3 and 5. I like 2 and 3 because they are energy efficient, and one is great for 1v1 and the others for group defense. But if one could flow between Forms 3 and 5, taking your time on defense, and then really hitting hard with a finishing combination after an opening, it would be cool. I like the attack and counter attack style rather than simply blocking and bludgeoning the opponent.
In a way it seems rather targeting to Anikan as that is his mastery form. With this logic in mind form 4 should also be banned because of it's offensive and aggressive nature.
I always thought that every force user should be extremely well versed in forms 2, 3, and 5 Djem’so and possibly another form as well if not learning moderately of every form so that the user is able to be able to see the telegraphing of the lightsaber duel that may take place or whatever physical altercation they needed to use their lightsaber they would be able to handle it no matter what unless severely outclassed.
He did so, because he understood that Dooku was perfectly ambidextrous. Not cutting both hands of would have prolonged the fight unnecessarily so. And even might have posed a threat to (the then not known SHit Lord's Shittious identity) Palpafail, or his own. A most tactical and righteous move.
Djem So/Shien is Dark? Why, because of the heaviness of the strikes, making the others believe it could only be hatred giving them this strength? Typical Jedi'ism (utter moronicy combined with the refusal to listen to reasoning, holding the purest of incorrect bias over all, also known as Trumpism.).
The "Dark Side" does not allure, it does not draw in, it does not tempt. There is NO DARK SIDE!!!! There is only the Force, as Yoda clearly said in ESB. Thus, there CANNOT BE any such temptation. Those succumbing to the Dark Side, were evil already in their core, from birth on. That is the only truth. For proof: Grey Jedi and "Wild Force Users" (those untrained, using "both sides" and usually being in balance within either).
Well it didn't work too good against Obi-Wan Kenobi twice and I think he is form three and prior to that he is formed too I believe before Qui Jin died
Luke Skywalker took Djem So further than Prime Chosen one Anakin. Luke had a hybrid variant of Djem so with soresu defenses and jumping of Ataru which he learned from Yoda. 1. Empire strikes back- Luke after fighting Vader, he copied and modified his Djem so. 2. By return of the jedi, Luke had mastered soresu from Obi wan's training and journal. Mastered Ataru under Yoda and refinement of practice and self training. 3. New Jedi Order- Luke had mastered all 7 lightsaber forms and found the holocrons from coruscant jedi temple remains and sith relics from other planets in the galaxy. Through time, he mastered many light side and darkside abilities. He found new styles of lightsaber forms based on the first 7. He created fast, medium, strong styles. Luke as more or less was a grey jedi, like Qui Jonn Jinn, just short of a dark jed (Mace windu hence vaapad), and for a time became a sith apprentice under palpatine. Luke's style and form of lightsaber combat was eclectic and integrated but he favored djem so like his father and soresu heavily with a sprinkle of Ataru. Form shii cho was for younglings and only Kit Fitso perfected it. Makashi was too dueling, 1 on 1, sparring fencing style that dooku perfected and mastered to it fullest extent. Both kit and dooku fell to form 7 and form 5, which shows the supremacy of those two forms. Soresu I agree was stalling the inevitable and had to come up with ways to counter offersively since it is the all defensive form as supremely illustrated by Obi Wan. Yoda's style Ataru form 4 was agressive and fast but very taxing on stamina and used force augmentation the most. As evidenced by Yoda's fight with Sidious, he gassed out altho he disarmed Sidious which Luke and Mace are the only other people that have disarmed Sidious. Form 6 niman was utilized by Exar Kun and Cin Drallig. Both were masters and some say Exar kun was better than all the rest as a lightsaber duelist. He never lost. This rivals Yoda, since Yoda never lost a duel either. Cin drallig used niman against vader but vader overpowered him. I believe I recall that palpatine initially took up niman but under plagius he switched to form 7 Juyo. Can you cover form 7 juyo more thoroughly, please stupendous?
I think Djem So is fine as is, like Juuya, I think it's all about ones own mind set. It's like a hammer, a person can choose to use a hammer as tool to build or as a weapon to hurt someone. If guys don't buy that then look no further than the answer to form 7 Juuya, Vapad.
I know this video is over a year old however I do want to point something out Duku said when Anakin lost his hand he should've adapted to use the other hand. Anakin Skywalker on the invisible hand with his duel against Duku was a battle hardened war general. His tactical mind would be something worth studying for generations. So he would know one thing about Duku if one of his hands was gone he was still a threat especially with his lightsaber. Since a lightsaber does not have an "edge" and that the entire blade IS the edge. Taking both Duku's hands was the only way to subdue him
I think that it does lean too far into the dark side, but desperate times call for desperate measures. If the other forms cannot lead a Jedi to victory against a Sith, it is necessary to make use of Djem So. That being said, I'm a Sith and Galactic Empire Supporter. :P
anakin is iconic, if the council did give him there full trust he wouldn't have turned, he sometimes used the darkside in service of the light (all jedi used rage and anger in a duel, obi wan sliced maul because he was angry that qui gon died) the jedi council didn't know how to keep someone like ani by their side
I'm with the folks off in left field who think that any form or practice that aids in battlefield lethality, should be used. Keeping in mind that there should be balance in all things so as not to let your own emotions or anger lead to your fall in a conflict. Light side, dark side, use them both!
The old Jedi were such sanctimonious high horse stragglers and just couldn't see past their own "narrow minded dogmatic views" to get the job done and keep things on lock. I also feel like they were as much to blame for Anakin's descension as Palpatine. Palpatine provided the fire so to speak and the jedi most assuredly provided the fuel. Anakin was a beast and could have been the most awesome warrior the jedi had ever produced if they would have just given him a little room to breathe. The Grey Jedi were far more realistic and prepared for the darkside than the jedi because you have to embrace a bit of darkness to truly be powerful in the light, its natural order.
Well as they say a form is as the person uses it you use the form the way you want to use if you use it for evil it will be evil if you use it for good it will be good you can also dwell upon the darkness and dwell upon its power to help you in battle but you must not succumb to the dark you must find The Light Within the dark you must see but not see and as they say Force lighting could be used for anything it's not dark or light it depends on how you use it there is a light variant there is a dark variant there's also a neutral variant you must look for both Good and Evil and neutral as they say there is balance or not balance
"Anakin, if one is to understand the great mystery, one must study all its aspects, not just the dogmatic narrow view of the Jedi. If you wish to become a complete and wise leader, you must embrace a larger view of the Force. Be careful of the Jedi, Anakin. Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi!" - Darth Sidious I mean, he's a filthy Sith Lord, but he wasn't wrong. There's some merit in the Dark Side.
I think that Anakin was always going to go to the dark side because of his actions as a Jedi he's too impatient and hurry to his actions and not think the Republicans that he thinks he's doing good but actually he is dooming himself and others you think you could save his loved one by going to the dark side but actuality he's doing now from the get-go and that he didn't think to see what's going to happen if he did what he did and he's downfall is that he crave for power not for peace
The council tried everything that they could to hold Anakin back . They were jealous of his power , to the point that they were willing to weaken the Order and lose the war just to spite the Chosen One .
Leave it to the Jedi Council to want to ban an actual practical (and therefore useful) lightsaber form. Meanwhile one of their leaders casually uses the most dangerous form of all, Form VII, and they’re all cool with that 🙄
this vid is bull, anakin was a teacher at the temple and was allowed to make holocrons as a new jedi knight. he was even tasked to raise new generation of guardians
I think it comes down to the user. I mean vader was a beast with it. Doesn't mean everyone will be. The bad guys will use every edge they can. I don't think it's fair to take away stuff. I feel like jedi are always trying to give themselves a handicap. They can't use 90% of force abilities and limit their Saber attacks lol.
Probably, I can't see them handling it in a healthy way. "Something Something let go of all your attachments" There would have been a huge dark Jedi problem to deal with in the galaxy for a long time after.
in legends there was the battle of Jabim(basically star wars Vietnam). A bunch of jedi were forced to make a last stand so others could evacuate. A few started dipping into the dark side. so yes
I'm in the camp that Djem So should have been banned after a generation. Its Falling Avalanche technique should have been a clue that it was corrupting to the user. If the Jedi wanted to combat Juyo, they should have utilized Makashi and Force attacks. Makashi is rooted in the Light Side (and was even developed to counter Shii-Cho when it was perverted by the Dark Side) and Juyo leaves itself defenseless against the Force. Theoretically, the dodges from Shien and Ataru could also work.
Giving into one's negative emotions for a brief period doesn't make a person evil even if they do something wrong during that moment. That's the big flaw that's always been the elephant in the room concerning 'the dark side'. So that's a flaw in the story itself instead of a flaw in a form of combat.
Bro, the council did literally everything they could to turn Anakin to the dark side🤣🤣🤣
I'm surprised they didn't wanna ban his eating style.

We get a close up view of Dooku’s hands as it happens.

Chopping off both hands from your opponent is Dishonourable? How about killing a surrendering enemy mace windu how do you consider that honourable? If anikan's version of form 5 is outlawed for being "Dishonourable" you might as well outlaw vappad as well for being Dishonourable since vappad is mace windu's version of form 7 to me the only honourable thing you can do once you chop both of the hands off is to show mercy to your defeated opponent it only becomes Dishonourable if you show no mercy even after chopping both hands off
(I used the revenge of the sith scene when mace windu was determined to kill sidious even though he was unarmed opponent and at the mercy of mace windu even though killing sidious right then and there would of been the most Dishonourable thing to do for a jedi as well that's what I meant by "how about killing a surrendering enemy mace windu"
And I strongly believe that if anikan's version of form 5 is to be outlawed then mace windu's version of form 7 should also be outlawed as well regardless vappad is based around the forbidden lightsaber form 7 and anikan's lightsaber form is based around form 5 so logically (to me anyway) vappad should never have been allowed due to being based around the forbidden form 7

I’ll also add his loss with Dooku in Episode 2 due to Form II being the better of Form III when one on one.

Haydens form is perfection, he has this relaxed shoulder stance and fluidity to him, which is so signature to Anakin.
They wanted to make all Jedi as ineffective as they were
You know, every video about the Jedi sheds more light on why they don’t exist anymore.
In a way it seems rather targeting to Anikan as that is his mastery form.
With this logic in mind form 4 should also be banned because of it's offensive and aggressive nature.
I think the council has to realize Anakin uses both sides of the force. I am fine with using it
I always thought that every force user should be extremely well versed in forms 2, 3, and 5 Djem’so and possibly another form as well if not learning moderately of every form so that the user is able to be able to see the telegraphing of the lightsaber duel that may take place or whatever physical altercation they needed to use their lightsaber they would be able to handle it no matter what unless severely outclassed.
My thoughts on Djem So/Shien?
To outlaw any form is idiocy.
Only through training all forms, one can understand the form, and thus overcome it.
Well it didn't work too good against Obi-Wan Kenobi twice and I think he is form three and prior to that he is formed too I believe before Qui Jin died
The council: "BAN DJEM SO, ITS OFFENSIVE"
Mace Windu: Chanelling the dark side using Vapaad is perfectly legitimate and not worrying at all.
0:27 And then, well, his HEAD.
Ani: I'm going to be the best form V out there and stay good...
Plo Koon: Form V master, beat Yoda once, uses force lightning... Hold my beer
Doku got a pair of invisible hands lol
I think Djem So is fine as is, like Juuya, I think it's all about ones own mind set. It's like a hammer, a person can choose to use a hammer as tool to build or as a weapon to hurt someone. If guys don't buy that then look no further than the answer to form 7 Juuya, Vapad.
Guess the council is looking over the fact of how dangerous a form 6 combat specilist is... Like Exurcun....
Taking both Duku's hands was the only way to subdue him
From 5 Jedis needs more training and control in the force to stay in light
I think that it does lean too far into the dark side, but desperate times call for desperate measures. If the other forms cannot lead a Jedi to victory against a Sith, it is necessary to make use of Djem So. That being said, I'm a Sith and Galactic Empire Supporter. :P
Anakin cuts both of Dooku's hands: Jedi Council gasps.
Obi Wan cuts off all of Anakins' remaining organic limbs: Jedi Council claps.
In Obi Wan's defense, Anakin turned to the dark side and did what he needed to do.
anakin is iconic, if the council did give him there full trust he wouldn't have turned, he sometimes used the darkside in service of the light (all jedi used rage and anger in a duel, obi wan sliced maul because he was angry that qui gon died) the jedi council didn't know how to keep someone like ani by their side
I'm with the folks off in left field who think that any form or practice that aids in battlefield lethality, should be used. Keeping in mind that there should be balance in all things so as not to let your own emotions or anger lead to your fall in a conflict. Light side, dark side, use them both!
Is this really you?
Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi!"
- Darth Sidious
I mean, he's a filthy Sith Lord, but he wasn't wrong.
Djem So is my all time favorite as well as Makashi
The council tried everything that they could to hold Anakin back .
They were jealous of his power , to the point that they were willing to weaken the Order and lose the war just to spite the Chosen One .
I believe like the force, and like a light saber, the style of combat is a tool and the wielder is what makes it good or evil
Real quick, on Juyo, if it's just letting the force guide you, doesn't that make it almost like a dark-side leaning, extra-agressive Shii Cho?
I think it comes down to the user. I mean vader was a beast with it. Doesn't mean everyone will be. The bad guys will use every edge they can. I don't think it's fair to take away stuff. I feel like jedi are always trying to give themselves a handicap. They can't use 90% of force abilities and limit their Saber attacks lol.
Question. If Order 66 never happened and the war went on. Do you think other Jedis would eventually turn to the dark side dew to PTSD.
A few started dipping into the dark side. so yes
@@thebigphilbowski True. As I said before they are protectors of peace. The moment they join the war, rules went out the door except for Mace Windu.
It shouldn't be outlawed, lightsaber dueling is a matter of life and death.
So Awesome
Darth Banes Djem so is freaking awesome..guud one Ani🖤
They hate us because they ain’t us ~ Anakin Skywalker (probably)
Giving into one's negative emotions for a brief period doesn't make a person evil even if they do something wrong during that moment. That's the big flaw that's always been the elephant in the room concerning 'the dark side'. So that's a flaw in the story itself instead of a flaw in a form of combat.
Dooku was holding his lightsaber with both hands....
HOT TAKE: We need a clone wars game that lets you play as Anakin and Kenobi
