Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 лис 2020
- I bought the new version of Mocha Pro the other day and wanted to share how you can export the new PowerMesh to Blender. As a free alternative I show you how to achieve a similar result with EbSynth.

This is the only established Hollywood director that still keep in touch with his youtube channel and over-all his fans. Love your work!!
@10tк๓ђ he did??
@10tк๓ђ i did watched. but not frequent as david with his own channel. : (
@@Arthur_Zimmermann will checkout!
Zack stays in touch through Vero with fans.
@@hafizmiau yeah
You finally smashed a pony.
always thought the name related to zoophilia happy to be proven wrong Mr. Ponysmasher
I'm vastly relieved that the Pony Smashing is literal and not a euphemism.
I'm 46 and cannot believe I live in an age where a Hollywood director I admire immensely teaches me a software I love while I ride my commute. Jeebus.
Thank you for this comment, couldn't put it better myself. We truly live in the future :)
Cómo se llama el director?
Lotta opens UA-cam:
Lotta: really David, a pimple, like really?!
David: 🤷♂️
Your humility speaks levels about your character. Seriously, may God bless you and every project you tackle.
I'm a 22 year old software engineer with no intentions of using or interacting with this is anyway, and yet I'm still fully invested in this channel. No idea why. Also Shazam kicked ass, by the way.
Great job! One big difference between Mocha and EbSynth would be tracking a face with foreground objects in front of it.: Note that Mocha's PowerMesh is not only used for tracking exports, it can also drive warp driven roto and render a warp stabilized view to paint on or do advanced VFX. But love seeing customers push Mocha into new areas, like Blender support!
Dear David, I envy your relationship with Lotta. Sincerely, a jealous fan.
I started following them both (after seeing Annabelle Creation) because I realized I wanted a relationship like theirs. I mean having a wife and also having an actress for your random short films? You can’t go wrong there 😂
What am I doing here... this isn’t my area of expertise... ahh well let’s watch it anyway!
this
I'll never use this but I enjoyed you teaching us! And for updating the channel with new content despite being a big HOLLYWOOOOOOD director! A winner is you 💚
Really happy to see a big director is supporting open source and free software ...
You're so grounded, David, thank your for taking the time for this!
Wholly moley This is amazing! You Smashed it David! *Errie Alto Flute Solo* Just for you!
Thats such a smart way of projecting textures onto a video, I love this and will find a use for it in a future film I work on.
Thank you thank you thank you for this. Didn't even know Blender had this option.
Please keep uploading. You are like one of my favourite channels and I learn a lot from you that I can't from anywhere else ❤
Blender is becoming one of my favorite softwares, it's so powerful and diverse. Great tutorial!
That's insane that we have come this far with our technology to do stuff like that at home and looking so seamless. One day we're going to look back and laugh at that effect but right now it is so jaw dropping. I love your tutorials and your short videos, thank you so much.
David I just wantet to say, you are a huge inspiration! So down to earth and just a likeable person!
Humble and talented. Thank you for still interacting with your UA-cam fans. Can't wait for you to work on a new movie 😍
That was so awesome. Thank you for this video it made my day 😂 more blender + mocha tutorials.
The sheer variety of video topics coming out of this channel
Yeah, to be a proper UA-cam you should probably have more unity and organization than I do...
@@ponysmasher I admire it!
Been experimenting with these methods... I hadn't thought of projection mapping. Thanks!
You are a true inspiration David! Hope you make more and more awesome films!
It looks so easy and intimidating at the same time.
I love your videos! Really entertaining and ineteresting.
Man, I like that you as a big Hollywood director do simple stuff like that. A small experiment but it could turn into a concept of a movie.
Great video as always, love your content David :)
Hey David, so happy to see you continue to utilize Blender for VFX. I teach exactly this on my channel and love to see an industry pro like yourself validate these workflows. Thank you for sharing this cool technique! -Jacob
I just came here from twitter (coz of your latest tweet and i hadnt been on yt for a while) and this is actually so cool for newbie filmmakers that want to try new stuff in the second lockdown!!
Looking great Lotta!
You're amazing and a great teacher. A hero and inspiration. Thank you for inspiring.
Honesty you are one of my fav directors and I can not thank you enough for introducing me to horror! Also just watched Annabelle 2 and it was awesome!!!!!
This looks like a fantastic tool! There’s so many programs I need to invest in.
You made my Saturday a better day
I love that, despite making it in Hollywood, David keeps in touch with his UA-cam channel. What a legend!
This comes really in handy!! Would have loved to know about it for a past project! LOL Thanks for the quick and super clear explanation!
That's a pretty cool new feature!
Sir you are way too awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this cool trick.
I can't believe that a Hollywood director would do these videos for his subscribers. Even if he's jist having fun. It's incredible to see the workflow and the kind of knowledge they possess. It also makes me feel that, sometimes you gotta do a lot all by yourselves and for that, you might wanna be the jack of all trades.
A famed Hollywood director giving us tips and lessons. You certainly go above and beyond. 😎
What is his name?
@@ALFREDSTARK From the You Tube channel description:
I'm David F. Sandberg, director of Shazam!, Lights Out and Annabelle Creation. On here you'll find short films with Lotta Losten, videos about filmmaking, animation and other random things. Swedish guy working in Los Angeles. Mostly doesn't hate ponies. Mostly.
@@HitechProductions gracias hitech
Lotta is a saint for putting up with you. And I'm very very grateful! :'D
Had a little panic moment when I saw you doing what Lockdown can do. Then I realized mocha pro would have cost me more. I love all your posts!! Keep em coming! Very cool that Mocha Pro is adding such cool features.
Love it!! Started using Mocha recently and wow is it powerful. Couple it with Blender and you can do some pretty amazing things.
the best tutorial about power mesh use in blender.
Finally another video! Thank you for this tutorial🤧
You're such a successful nerd...I Love it
Wow! I've been using Mocha's planar tracking for years and didn't know about this. This just sparked a million ideas, thank you!
they didnt come out with power mesh until this year
@@flipnap2112 yes they did - I've been using it since I made that comment. What do you mean?
@@Draculus sorry I thought you meant power mesh was there for years and you never knew about it. :).
@@flipnap2112 o ye I see what you mean my comment is just worded weirdly lol, I meant I was using the planar tracker for this purpose for years
I think it’s really awesome that a legit established director that’s worked on some pretty big films used Blender. Just so cool to me
This is really cool!
This is amazing hope that you will use it in your next Short film
You smashed it!
Thank you, sir. Love your tutorials and your videos. Would love to work with you sometime. Can't wait for Shazam 2.
Imagine being so down to earth that you share a tutorial on how to use Mocha and a free alternative to it right after directing Hollywood movies.
Awesome! Thanks David😁
damn you are so gr8 david i am myself working on a horror short and its so helpful to watch these videos and learn thanx a lot maybe i can make a watchable horror short
I love your Job!! 🤩🎬💥👌🏻
Scary times ahead with all this tech... Anyway what a humble dude David Sandberg is.
poor EB. never got the recognition it deserved. they were on the road to greatness any years ahead of their time
That was an excellent tutorial. And that was the first time I saw the "ponysmasher" animation. LOL.
Very nice. I'm not sure how I'll use this yet but I will.
Great tutorial, Mr. Shazam Smash Pony. This will be useful to me as an aspiring filmmaker.
love ur videos
I love your channel
Wow! Now that was hella of a smash tutorial XD
love the outro!
ok just experimented and yep it works! once you import your abc file then you can attach an object by parenting to vertex. maybe a little animation is required for some rotation etc but as long as the track is solid then it should be fine!! just stuck suzannes head on mine and works pretty good lol
Once again, thank you!!
Dude you are awesome
Thank you, very easy to understand
PD: didn't know that you were the director of Shazam, it's cool to watch a director using Blender software
You're my hero!!!
I watched the video and then saw Pony Smasher. I was like "wait a minute...... He's the fuckin' Shazam guy!!!!!!"
Lots of love man!!! 💕💕
You are awesome!
watched the tutorial one time. watched the outro 5 five times. form the "design-perspektive" you should wrap the text around the ponysmasher. from the "storyteller-perspektive" just awesome.
I see some IanHubert's Lazy Tutorials inspiration. Nice video!
already used ebsynth for the paint look, it's pretty efficient, imma try the mustache lol
That is love, yes sir.
Superb
Coolest of beans, bro
Fuckin hell I wasn't' ready for that outro my man.
Did not expect that outro at all.
Yayyyy another vid :)
I like the new outro
This was amazing!
One thing about using EbSynth. I noticed that the eyes are really mangled. You could have then brought in your original footage and used masking to bring back the original eyes andf it would have made this 100 X nicer.
yeah EB definitely has a language you need to learn to speak. when you find out how it "thinks" you can get some really nice results.. never as good as a tool specifically built for this but gets you close
Who is here after the film riot one? God's work from both channels
Awesome
Holy shit what a good surprise
Oh my Gaaah, A tutorial!
This stuff is nearly Ian Hubert level, so cool!
First....and thank you so much for this info!!
cool dude
Very helpful. Thanks, David!
And the dude is a Hollywood director!
Thanks!
Well that outro looks kinda fresh though
ive been curious on how to do something like this to do something like the other guys bar scene. i effin love ebsynth
What kind of monster composites a mustache, tear tattoo, and unibrow onto his wife's face?
What do you mean? I think I look awesome! 🤓
@@lottalosten lol whaaaaat!
A legend
Well at least he didn't write 'damaged' on her forehead XD
You post I watch. That's how this works.
