GMC was famous for its truck chassis, which could be adapted for any use. Powerful engines, unbreakable transmissions, stump-pulling torque. Now it's oil leaks, weak transmissions, and differentials, if it survives two years of service you are lucky.

Well, they’re #3 behind Lexus and Toyota for number of initial problems per new vehicle, so they’re doing something better.
I remember a car that was named,”Icon.” It had a gmc diesel engine, 8 speed automatic, fuel mileage was around 50+ miles per gallon. Never saw it again.
There are probably a lot of patents hiding products that help the consumer with efficiency!
One of the reasons we never got flying cars because they are maintenance critical. Also we have enough crazy people behind the wheel on the ground image if they were flying.
It's way harder to wreck in 3 dimensions.
So we already drive in 3 dimensions with the use of over passes so if flying cars became normal to drive then traffic will be about the same. Flying cars are great when it’s just a few who have them
@SonoranPunk No way, dude. Your car is connected to the ground 99.9% of the time and can only turn left and right. It cannot move vertically or in like 6 degrees of freedom. In the air, there is a ridiculous amount of space, so wrecking is extremely unlikely.

@josealdecoa2417 Imagine if all cars could go offroad kind of like boats sail on the ocean surface and then compare that to what submarines can do... then factor in how the cars CAN'T all actually go offroad worth a crap...
The majority, of my friends who bought electric cars bought them in a moral panic, best I can tell. And they make endless excuses for their ongoing shortcomings which they work around, never admitting they bought some junk.
The court should require them to disassemble all the unsold cars, and open a small parts stores for those suckers who already bought the cars.

I took delivery of a 24 Subaru Crosstrek Sport yesterday and love it. I did tons of research and the Crosstrek was the hands down bang for the buck value proposition. My thoughts of buying an EV were exactly zero, zilch and nada. After 10 years 97% of Subaru's are still on the road. I'm guessing after 10 years 97% of EV's will be polluting a junkyard in a town near you 🙄
I gotta tell people that own EVs that and see if I can psych them out😂😂😂
EVs are a great idea for people who can afford them. The problem was the government artificially propped up the market and that's never going to work.
That's right. They used taxpayer money to give those who could afford them, rebates..... Another redistribution scam basically.
This just makes me love my old 2004 Chevy venture all the more.

Years ago I got sucked in by crooked GM with their credit card scam. They promised one can redeem their points up to $3,500 when buying one of their new vehicles. Then it changed to only vehicles that didn't sell with the result that I'll never again buy a GM vehicle.
Me too! I had over $3500 as "points" on the GM card. Remember when it first came out, it was 5% of your purchase prices got collected as the cash rebate? Then they lowered it to 3%. When I bought my 2004 Malibu Maxx LT, they told me I couldn't use the entire $3500. It was a tier program.....the more expensive the vehicle, the more cash rebate I was allowed to use. Well, for that Malibu, I was only allowed to use $1500. NO WHERE did I see this written. I only saw the "pamphlet" at the dealership when I bought the car. I will never buy another GM product again. They can stuff their reward program up their *sses.
I haven’t bought a GM since 1982 when they burned me. Over the years at work I noticed people that had GM’s with problems went to foreign names when they got rid of them.
Current Fisker owner should buy one for a Spare.

In Illinois they raised the gas tax again this month. That state just keeps trying to beat Cali as the worst state to live in.
It went up 1.6 cents per gallon. That's an average of less than a quarter per fill up. Sounds like you need a real job if that is going to break you.

Parts, warranty, and service will be probably non-existent. It will be fine until you need ANYTHING, then it will be useless. There are hardly any dealers, and who would want to be a dealer at this point anyway? Buying a classic Ford Edsel is actually a better idea as a daily driver than a Fisker Ocean.
A top speed of 25 mph will get you run over on I-95 in Florida, but you’d likely be a speed demon on the 405 freeway in LA.
I keep seeing videos of 2025 model cars from Chrysler. Bringing back Plymouth Road Runner and other High-Performance vehicles. I don't think Stellantis wants to waste money on cars that insurance companies won't cover! The Chrysler brand is doomed! It's a shame! In the 50s and 60s, Chrysler-branded cars were favorites among big car buyers.
Even back in the 1960's, Chrysler cars were third on the list of the "Big 3". AMC was the 4th, but didn't really count as "big" apparently.

I have these codes p0172 and p0175 for 7 months and only long fuel trim readings are not okay it shows -10, -15,-20,-25 and -30 in different drive conditions

If the Buick has the 3.8 v6..I'd buy it. The engines are strong and parts are available. Price and condition would also factor in. The Buick should be way cheaper .

Is the Audi A6 v6 good and reliable?
Scotty, I'm in the market for a new car but I don't think I want one of these 1.2L 3-cyl engines with wet timing belts. From what I'm reading, it sounds like all those new 1.2L 3-cyl engines use a timing belt that's in oil and buried way inside the engine so it costs a fortune to change. Is this true? What's your take on wet timing belts.
You noted one single engine example. There are many others. Plenty of choices out there.
The GM 1.2 is the wet timing belt, but the optional 1.3 engine is not. The 1.3 has more power and gets better fuel mileage. I own one of each, no problems but have real low miles. Time will tell.
@@Tld6061 I'm not seeing an option for a 1.3 as I'm shopping around. I would love to buy a 2024 Buick Envista or a 2024 Chevy Trax. From what I gather they're basically the same but the Trax is bigger. I don't see a 1.3 option for either, and they're both GM

Scotty i got a serious problem going on with the 2003 monte carlo 3800 series 2, wont crank, replaced the starter, alternator, and battery, im stuck on the starter though, there is a 3rd terminal with black and orange wires, i saw on a carlo video that those wires stack on the main, but when i stack them just like that video showed, and i get no power in the interior, im stuck man can you help

I am surprised that with a million degrees Fahrenheit or celcecus that they would even do that. That should be looked at further. Why would you want to run a fusion generator up around 1-million degrees whatever? I am not saying that is a good idea, but think of the insulation needed for temps that high? If you have a high pressurized leak of temps from one-million-degrees to 70 to 80 to 120 degrees f then that is a serious explosion. I do not know how much of an explosion but that is something that can be calculated by someone in I think training and experience in thermal dynamics. Or I could be wrong on who and whom to calculate that, but that would have a big fu*king bang of energy and pressure released. I sure hope, they have all that sh*t figured out. Or if not, that would not be cool for the rest of the world, or I am wrong. Is anyone thinking of anything like that? Or am I just seeing things? LOL
