3:00 Just be careful when you drag the hose over the door opening and seats that you aren’t snagging the interior from those zip tie buckles. Maybe use the two-sided Velcro straps with the soft side out! Just a thought 💭
Thank you so much, just purchased all the items. I decided to buy all the items on the amazon links listed in the description instead of buying the $200 or so hose + airhose kit
This is a great video, I did mobile detailing for many years, I had a mytee extractor, I did not have a generator, I used the electric from the customer... it was a hot water extractor with only 1 plug to power the pump, vacuum, and heating element.. the problem I ran into was if I tried to power all 3 at once I ended up blowing the circuit breaker... so I had to use 2 separate circuits... so I used the heat and pump from the mytee extractor and used the vacuum from a home depot ridged wet dry vacuum which was alot stronger then the mytee
We just picked up the ridged 4 gallon and it didn't disappoint. We have a German Shorthaired Pointer mix who sheds alot. This vac and a simple dog handwash glove with the rubber nubbies..made short work of that hair!! Thanks buddy
I did this about 5 months ago and it’s was worth it. I ordered mine from Rip clean and it does take about 2/3 weeks before you get it shipped to you and it’s free shipping. I am just using my Ridgid 4 gal 5.0 peak portable vacuum with the wet filter as an extractor I have the Ridgid 3 gal peak HP NXT to vacuum cars. It’s compact and really strong enough to vacuum the cars and you can put it in the car if you want. But I also bought the Ridgid car detailing hose kit. And I used velcro straps to attach my water line to my hose no rips or snags.
As a Mobile detailer, I have been thinking about this setup and specifically trying to keep the water line nice and tidy because it has to go all the way back to my van and I’ve found a solution! If I just tip tie it to the power cord of the vacuum. They are both coming from the same general direction! 👍 thanks Luke for trying this out because I really value your opinion. I was looking at the vac master beast for a vacuum anyways so my rigid will be dedicated to my extractor.
@Love To Do Cool Stuff easily. So you could buy a{(1/2)5gpm pump, put a bulk head fitting for (1/)2 on a 55 or 30 gallon container, and plumb that to the pump. If you like get an accumulator after the pump just o keep the power up. Get a deep cycle marine batter to power the pump and presto!!
Hey Luke thanks for another great video . This old man has learned a lot of detailing tricks from you. Just a suggestion, use side cutters to trim your wire ties all the way down to the base as they can be very sharp and will cut you or the interior your working on. I was a electrician by trade and used wire ties daily and speak from experience !
I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75 ////////////////////
Son of a gun I was going to hook it up to my hot water tank ( I have an inline spigot, not the drain) My washing machine hookup is right near my garage. . Bravo my man Bravo!!!
@@greggo502 😂 probably easier this way. And safer? Just make sure your hose is safe to use with the hot water. I know some people have straight boiling water coming out of their lines
Dude SO true. The power of suction is what is key to removing soil and moisture. For upholstery, you barely need much psi, that garden hose is more than enough. Heat is helpful, but isn't super necessary. The reason those extractors are so expensive is because it's such a proprietary product. You got everything you need for a fraction of the cost
That's incorrect... The "key" is using the correct pretreatment chemicals, and having steam or at least high temperature water... Trust me I've been steam cleaning carpets for about 20 years
Just started going through the class you have online, loving it! I’ve really been thinking about this as a solution, but I’ve also been toying with an idea to make it a full on hot water extractor. Because you don’t need like 4gpm or something crazy for this. You could conceivably connect it to one of the mobile camping shower hot water systems, and just run your cold water hose in and connect the blue one to the hot outlet for the shower head.. I’d love to see you try it, and truthfully once I get the funds to finally start my business I’m going to try it myself. But just thought I’d put that bug in everyone’s ear and see how it develops. Great video. I love this kit! It’s certainly not cheaper than the parts list to buy individually but having the time savings really seems to throw the kit over the top of me. Just an easy buy, and then plug and play
You can certainly buy the parts individually and make your own kit and save money. However, all of the extractor that I have seen just have a copper hose coming out of the end and spray it as a stream of concentrated water in one small spot, the size of a dime. This particular brand sprays, the mist of pressurized water over the width of the suction device so it’s much better set up.
You bought a class? I bought $1,200 of equipment, made a business page, boosted an add and just acted like I knew what I was doing. Ill have 14 bookings my first month so far and thats if nobody contacts me for the last 15 days which I doubt.
You can buy an “instant water heater” which is used for hand sinks and such. They plug into a standard outlet. You could actually set one up with this set up to heat hose water to about 100f and you would have heated water. You could also use it with a pressure washer and have warm water for washing. Being that a pressure washers doesn’t actually use that much water it would keep up pretty well.
I ordered this setup after watching your video and I got an email today there 2 weeks from shipping because of your video. They said they sold out almost overnight. I told them they should send you a commission check and thank you card.
🎉 I thought you made a video about the Rip-clean extractor kit-- You can only use that with a 2.5 inlet vacuum. The rigid is 1.87-- How do you use the rip clean with your rigid 4 gallon With different inlets-- Thanks hopefully I get your answer
Hey Luke, I'm a mobile detailer in LA. I followed your recommendation and got the Aqua Pro Vac over a year ago. I also have a separate vacuum. How does this compare? I like that it is a two in one unit and it can save some space in my car.
I bought the vacuum and a shampoo attachment on Amazon. I'm using P&S 3 step and am sticking to spray bottles. My main issue is simply not extracting dirt and water quick enough.
I am a mobile detailer and I carry my own water I use a 8.0 honda gas power pressure washer I don't have a hose connection it won't work for me and second it uses water that has minerals so it won't dry clean it might leave behind water stain but other than that its a good idea but not for me I prefer my mytee extractor
Spray extractor solution. Use drill and brush. Then use Bissell Spot Clean Pro to suck it up. How does this go head to head with the Mytee Lite 8070 when there is no heater?
The vacuum suction on the Rigid is much more powerful than the Spot Clean Pro. The Spot Clean Pro leaves a bit to be desired on the final suction, there's more water left behind making for longer drying times. Also the atomization of the water on the Bissel is not as fine as the Mytee/this extractor head(based on this video).
What is the recommended PSI for the attachment? Because I'm trying to convert a no pump gardens sprayer into a 2 gallon hot water attachment to turn this into a hot water extractor
So ok… the hose kit that comes with it in the kit can connect directly to a water hose itself or connect straight to the standard water hose hookup like coming from the side of every house?
Can I still use it as a regular vacuum once I upgrade it? So use the vac first with a different head then change the head for & use it as an extractor?
Hey man great video, what would I need to search up to find the correct fittings for a air hose with a 1/4 quick connect and also be able to connect it to my hose ?
What I despise about the 8070 lite is the placement of the pump connection, to much foam 1 time and bloop toast. However it's also my favorite but now I'm gonna give this a try
Great job. Would be nice to see the results on a lighter color interior like beige or light gray but overall I am going to get this setup for my own car.
Can you use this with a mobile water tank without a pump, if you have a video for this please attach the link to this comment. Thanks for all the great content. I'm going to start a mobile detailing business in the spring of this year. I've learned so much from you, and I will be using all of your affiliate links for my chemicals. A gain thanks so much.
I am trying to buy your exact setup but it says that the better extractor hose is 2-1/2 inch in diameter and the 4 gallon rigid takes 1.875 inch vacuum hose. how were you able to use this vacuum machine? is there an adapter or am i missing something?
Just FYI, I bought from your link that went to rip clean. Placed order on the 9/9/23, apparently they sell like if in stock, even though they didn't have all parts to complete orders due to "shipping delays" to ripclean. So far I feel like nothing is going to arrive. No emails even confirming order has shipped. If I cancel this order, do you have other links to suggest?
i have a specific question.. do i need an adapter for this vacuum and vacuum hose? the vacuum has a 1 7/8 inch inlet but the website for the hose kit says it only works with 2.5 inch vacuum inlet.
I just looked at the link for the extractor kit and Amazon says it's currently unavailable and they can't say if or when they are going to be able to get it back in stock.
question...if im mobil and dont have access to a faucet - i dont think the free flow connector to my water tank will offer enough pressure to the extractors spray nozzle... any way around this??????
Hi I seen one of your videos that u said to to a dry shampoo with a cleaner that onces it drys it crystallizes and then you can vacuum. I can’t find the video. Can u let me know the name or link me video
I'm still confused by the description with all the links because I don't know which is necessary when you link items more than once so I don't even know what I necessarily need or don't
what if you just sprayed the seat down, attached a brush to a drill and then used the rigid shop vac to suck up all the wet gunk from the seat, would that do the same thing as an extractor?
Will the extractor head fit on the orange "pro accessory" hose in the Rigid kit? The one you have to buy separate from the vac. Amazon is over 30 bucks more than H.D. and I got the shop vac with 2 bags for free for $80. The accessory kit was $50, but I can't explain why they don't include the orange hose with the vac. I use mine almost every day (auto detailer), so the black one might last a month if that's all I had.
I don't know, I was asking too. The black one that comes with the vac is different on the accessory end and has a bunch of I guess adapters, but I only use the orange one. However, you can attach the original black one to your exhaust port and it will muffle the sound of the vac to wherever you point it. I was thinking of cutting it and putting a foam insert in it, which is basically what the sound dampeners are that you pay more for. I don't know why they don't just sell the orange hose with the vac to begin with. I'm a mobile auto detailer and while I don't use the black one, it's so fragile I would have probably broken it by now. The orange one can stand being pulled and stepped on, but the back one probably wouldn't. Quick update. From looking again, it looks like he removed the accessory end from the hose, leaving it naked. Since that original black plastic head piece comes off of the orange hose by turning clockwise (not counter-clockwise), you remove that and then screw on the extractor head. At least that's what it looks like to me. It appears his gray hose is the same as our orange one.@@ADHDKING
@@floridaredneck awesome. Thanks very much as I thought it looked the same as well. Worth a try but thanks for the extra details . Agree they should just come with the orange hose make no sense to why ridgid would risk setting their good vacuums reputation to gain a few bucks on a cheap accessory. I have lots of Ridgid stuff but some things they do make no sense. It’s like making the perfect expensive steak but give rotten salad to save a few bucks and ruin the whole meal. lol my thoughts on that
You're hilarious. You had me thinking so many comparisons for cheap shit they do sometimes with everything. I was thinking of a Mercedes riding on inner tubes because they were too cheap to add the tires, or what if Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa on wallpaper? I mean you had me going and I'm with ya....lol Well, after that good steak, let's just hope desert makes up for that shit salad!

Before everyone runs to make their DIY extractor with an off-the-shelf wet/dry vac, make sure you understand what you're trading. Vacuum (at least) is required to remove water and oil and dirt from upholstery and carpet. Vacuum effectiveness of an extractor is measured by 1) flow rate (cfm) and 2) water column (inches water lift). For my money, I want the strongest vacuum available, but moving a large volume of air is not so helpful. Typical wet/dry vacs often have higher flow rates, but lower water lift ratings. In contrast, a dedicated extractor will tend to have a higher water lift and lower flow rate. Pay attention to 130 inches of water lift specified by an extractor manufacturer. This is important. Compare it to the water lift (measured in inches) specified for the DIY wet vac you want so badly to substitute...if you can even locate the information. Water lift is how "strength of vacuum" is measured. CFM (cubic feet per minute) is how "flowing air volume" is measured. Again, for my money, I will pay more for the high water lift vacuum motor....because this is what I need to clean my auto upholstery.
3:00 Just be careful when you drag the hose over the door opening and seats that you aren’t snagging the interior from those zip tie buckles. Maybe use the two-sided Velcro straps with the soft side out! Just a thought 💭

or get a flush cutter....
Velcro straps for the win. Those zips tie ends will destroy some stuff…

I plan on getting one of those and hooking it to my Bauer battery powered shop vac. I have the 7 gallon one with the wheels.
I’ll be building one of these soon to replace my tiny underpowered Bissell.
110V Instant Electric Water Heater - Perfect for Sink Washing, Heats Up in Seconds!
I have the setup attached to a Vac Master Beast 3 in 1 with all parts i put together myself and I must say it's incredible!

Nice retrofit. Looking forward to now thoughts like this
The kit is unavailable! Noooo!!! Lol. Thank you Wilson for the great info. God bless you and your family. 🙏
Hi there, i was hoping yo ucan clarify as to why you recommend using a separate vac as a dry vac and another for the extraction. Appreciate it.
Why not downsize from 8070 to S-300h? I get budget and all but if weight is concern, 300 weighs in at 25lbs.
Great video luke I was telling another detailer about this yesterday
What if you don’t have access to a garden water supply? What else can you use as a substitute?
Nice video! I ended up making my own version because I wanted to use extractor head that comes with the mytee. Keep up the good work👍
Only reason I don’t wanna do this set up is becuase it’s most cold water hooked up . I’d like hot water when extracting. Just my preference:)
I gotta say, that's super!!!
Can I hook the hose up to the kitchen faucet and use hot water? My wife and I wanna clean the couches and chairs
Great video Luke!
Hey man great video, what would I need to search up to find the correct fittings for a air hose with a 1/4 quick connect and also be able to connect it to my hose ?
Do you think it would be the same if I used a 12gal rigid vac🤔
Sandia extractor kit is over $300. A lot more cost effective to purchase parts and do it yourself. Numerous videos with part list and instructions.
What I despise about the 8070 lite is the placement of the pump connection, to much foam 1 time and bloop toast. However it's also my favorite but now I'm gonna give this a try
How well does this work on really dirty carpet?
Cool mate, still loving my bissell pro, hope you’re well
Great job. Would be nice to see the results on a lighter color interior like beige or light gray but overall I am going to get this setup for my own car.
What extractor head is that ? The one in the link is different from the one in the video.
just ordered mine ! thanks
How long does it take for the seats to dry? Will they be wet after the wash?
My little brass part is leaking drops of water is there a way to prevent that
So whats better the diy way with the mytee upholstery tool or the ripclean kit?
the ridgid vacuum cleaner is super loud and noisy. It's not suitable for residential usage. Is there a solution to reduce the noise?
The problem is it’s not hot water. The whole point of the myte is the built in heater which gets everything gets out ina couple passes
i have a specific question.. do i need an adapter for this vacuum and vacuum hose? the vacuum has a 1 7/8 inch inlet but the website for the hose kit says it only works with 2.5 inch vacuum inlet.
Do you have to buy one for dry and one for wet? Or just switch?
Awesome video, will be buying that! Any extra tips for a suede interior?
I just looked at the link for the extractor kit and Amazon says it's currently unavailable and they can't say if or when they are going to be able to get it back in stock.
200 IQ detailer
would you still be able to use this as a regular vacuum too????
try using the 16 gallon 6.5 hp ridgid nxt.... its the power of 5 of your 4 gallon units
question...if im mobil and dont have access to a faucet - i dont think the free flow connector to my water tank will offer enough pressure to the extractors spray nozzle... any way around this??????
What do you think about the snap on portable spotter is it worth it ?
If I was to put the house in a bucket of water will it still draw it to the head?
Turning a shop vac to extract, I assume I will need another to vacuum...?
Hi I seen one of your videos that u said to to a dry shampoo with a cleaner that onces it drys it crystallizes and then you can vacuum. I can’t find the video. Can u let me know the name or link me video
My guy you should be a salesmen 😂 Wasn't sure what extractor to get but now im building my own!
Haha I just like this type of product because I actually use it, conviction is probably the best sales strategy
I'm still confused by the description with all the links because I don't know which is necessary when you link items more than once so I don't even know what I necessarily need or don't
I am going to try it out.
Super video, my guy
And if u buy a second rigid vac you have redundancy for both a vac and extractor. Nice
Same video, still dope. But your affiliate link for the extractor head, & one in ur video are Two Different ones.
Does anyone know what companies make Ridge? I'm trying to find this vacuum in Australia without the crazy shipping
im sure you could attach it to a normal sink that offers hot water as well
Can you ? That’s what I’m trying to figure out before buying
@@tylyd5439 have not done it but I'm almost 100% sure it can be done maybe some fabrication but should be possible
what if you just sprayed the seat down, attached a brush to a drill and then used the rigid shop vac to suck up all the wet gunk from the seat, would that do the same thing as an extractor?
Nope. It doesn’t work well like that. It’s too dry, you won’t vacuum enough liquid. You need to spray water the way the extractor does for it to work.
I think if you have the Mytee , you could have just reused the Mytee head and water line. Just need to find the adaptor to connect the water line.
So can I still use the vacuum as a vacuum or?
Will the extractor head fit on the orange "pro accessory" hose in the Rigid kit? The one you have to buy separate from the vac. Amazon is over 30 bucks more than H.D. and I got the shop vac with 2 bags for free for $80. The accessory kit was $50, but I can't explain why they don't include the orange hose with the vac. I use mine almost every day (auto detailer), so the black one might last a month if that's all I had.
I have that orange hose as well. Do you know if it connects ?
How is it compared to aqua pro vac? Gotta know imabout to buy the aqua pro!
Again, for my money, I will pay more for the high water lift vacuum motor....because this is what I need to clean my auto upholstery.
the kit is 215$ us + shipping. I'm from canada. i was quite amazed before looking at the price... :(
You can just use an old sock as a shop vac wet filter.
When you cut off your zip ties you create very sharp ends. Sand or melt them so you don’t cut yourself or scratch or rip the upholstery.
Better than zip ties would be some fabric cable ties to avoid that.

The ones with Velcro ?
I had forgotten about those . Great thinking!
Great video! I did have to change my playback settings to .75 cause man! you talk at 100mph! LOL
I don’t see the link to buy the extractor kit
