I never stop learning from this channel! One of things that make it so good is that the recommended products and tools are down to earth products that are affordable and easy to get. The viewer is never made to feel that the tasks are too difficult or that the desired results are really only achievable by professionals using expensive high end products and tools. Thanks Josh for making videos for us ordinary guys!
Thanks so much Josef!
yes...the other guys I watch and enjoy, seem to recommend higher price/online ordering stuff more so...sponsored etc? I believe. more of money grabber type people...But helpful of course. I do like this guy and detail groove
It’s good to see that average retail products do a great job too
Agree. Josh shows the reasonable priced items.
I love how simple you are. Thank you so much. I have no idea what I’m doing and soooo many videos are WAY to much to understand. So thank you!!
IMJOSHV you are sooo genuine and so entertaining!!! Thank you for your mentorship!
Thank you for your mentorship Josh I was intrigued that you would choose air compressor over the other 2 options. But makes sense to me. 95% of the time fabric seats and carpets you can get away with just APC and towels and a vacuum. Heck even using foam can cleaners like Meguiar's carpet and upholstery cleaner or blue coral is enough especially when you're mobile your client will love the fact that they would have no wet seats, especially in the cold months.
I really appreciate your candidate approach and real world examples!
I just got an air compressor, and I couldn't agree more. I use my steamer alot less now. I used to steam the vents and cracks in door panels now I use the brushes and air compressor. Another excellent tool is the scrub pads from auto fiber I believe. They really get into the texture of the plastics.
You are becoming my number one go2. I really appreciate your videos
Great video and information provided here Josh. Thanks!
New subscriber. New to detailing world. Been surfing around the detail community and you do a fine job explaining your content to the viewers. Looking forward to more videos.
Wow those brushes! Sold sold for sure! As always another great clip! Stay well homie….I thank you for your content 🙏🏼
You are a good Man Josh. Thank You for sharing your methods.
Comparison across the board. You sure have cost me some money since I started watching your channel. I am a detailing fool now. I am very grateful that I find you because your guidance is spot on. Now I'm headed off to buy this polisher with your discount code. Thank you sir!
Great information Josh! I'm a compressed air fan and this video reminds me to clean my car this weekend. The "shift boot crumb's" need to leave my ride!
Josh, Thank You for all the great content. As a 2022 Bronco owner I really appreciated the info you shared. I've been watching the channel all morning for tips on how to properly clean my Bronco. Continued success and Thank you again!!
Do you have a soft top? Any recommendations on how to clean it? thanks.
Thankyou for your videos it’s really helping me to start up a detailing business 💪
I found you to be extremely honest and knowledgeable. I started detailing a less than a year ago at age 59, and I am so thankful I found your videos. You made me more confident and I really appreciate it. Thank you
Yeah he’s a good dude. I trust his insight and respect his tact. He’s set up a smart revenue stream and is not overbearing and obnoxious. Many channels are simply infomercials disguised as detailers.
EXCELLENT job with the what, the why, and the how. Thank you!
Thanks!
Love that air compressor. I added a kobalt tank to it to more than double capacity and can be pulled off for portable. Really enjoy the quiet!
Excellent video, makes me want to detail right away even though it’s -25 outside 😀great work, learned a lot ,thank you , roger
Always good info. Will definitely see about getting some of the details spray you mentioned as I hate gloss in the interior.
Super clean has been my go to cleaner for a long time, great tips, thanks Josh 👍😁
Thanks Dave!!
+1 on using a ceramic spray sealant on interior! I used to use meguires x-press spray wax to do the same thing
I actually have a compressor on my list. My shop vac has a blower option and a wet vac option but it is a pain for me to switch it during a job especially since I also have an extractor. I like this video because I have a hard time not taking so many items to a job because I'd rather be safe than sorry. My trailer is jam packed!
Your great man love your videos keep the good content coming love the style. Would love to see videos from you on using the actual oroducts and items sort of how to videos just saying ide watch them.
Good ones! It’s all good man, a vacuum is so essential it’s assumed and doesn’t need to be mentioned
I have a Cadillac with the leather seats, and I love the way the chemical guys leather conditioner smells. I love that clean leather smell.
like your bottle holders that are in the background
Great list there! I have all of them as well.
As usual a great video, you do an excellent job. How about a video on brushes, how often do you change or clean them per a single vehicle job. How do you clean them. Interior vs exterior.
Great video!
Thank you for all your hard work making these videos ! I’ve learned so much and you are so ahonest in your reviews !
Great job Josh
Thanks, Good stuff, Good informative Video Salute to You Sir.
Yes compress air is a must..
Awesome vid..👍🏻
👍👍👍
Love the video, you have a new follower
Awesome! Thank you!
+1 Josh on the TEC582...i always buy it by the gallon. Never knew it could be used for an interior UV protectant - I'll have to try that. It does work fantastic as a drying aid as well when diluted 50/50 with distilled water. Kudos for the great Vid and tips Brother 👍
Great video! Definitely want to try the TC ceramic spray for interior.
I think you’ll love it
Your channel has been very helpful, thanks. I noticed that Dewalt Flex battery on your DA. How does that compare to the regular 20V packs?
Love the vids I am a 15 year Car detailer turned Motorcycle Mechanic. I took my skills from automotive and added then to detailing Motorcycles on the side at home. Love your vids my experience tell me you know your stuff.
Great video! When you said edgeless edge you just meant without a hem, but we knew what you meant.
good video - never thought about edgeless microfiber towels, good tip - makes it worth including! +1 to all those who complimented your video.
Thanks so much
I have the Coral red interior in my 2007 328xi E92. I gotta try that technicians choice! I will say my interior still looks new and I just hit 250k miles!
I love those super soft brushes for my stereo, my car has one of those giant touch displays, theres no buttons it's all touch sensors.
Great tips josh thanks 😊
👍👍👍
Great video! I enjoy your videos. Do you have a recommendation for spray bottles? When I dilute chemicals for detailing, I swear the bottles I buy last only one or two details.
Great stuff Josh! Do you find you need respiratory protection with the Super Clean like you do with other APC products?
Hi very informative videos that you have been doing ... I have learned a lot of new things to help me out with cleaning cars etc .. I was wondering what colour combination do you run for the microfibers eg red interior etc if you want to share that knowledge thank you
Hey josh love the videos man, juat wana ask do you really feel safe using super clean on leather and if whats your diluted ratio
Hey buddy love your vids thanks quick question what size air hose is common and the best one to get to use with an air compressor with the vortex air gun. 3/8 or 1/4? Thanks
Quick question, what setting would you use to clean carpet and cloth seats? Thank you, nice video.
Wondering about using Super Clean for interiors, just don’t like the smell of it, prefer to use something like P&S Express Interior Cleaner, which covers multiple surfaces, including leather. I would like to get the TC product, no streaks and work in the sun is an A+. Thanks for the video!!!
I agree compressed air is a must
Can you do a video using these products step by step? that would be awesome :)
you and Detail Groove seem to be regular guys...good to watch. like two others but seem to be more business/money guys/higher end type guys
Hello Josh, your videos are extremely helpful really appreciate the amount of details you put into showing the actual products your are using. Would you be able to recommend some substitutions for superclean and ceramic detail spray please?
Perhaps there’s another website or vendor for the same exact product to be purchased from
Awesome channel content
Thanks for all the great information. Where did you get those polisher holders in the background that are mounted on the wall?
From maxshine! maxshinecarcare.com/store/p/product/maxshine-machine-polisher-wall-holder-double?rq=Holder
You can use code “imjoshv15” for 15% off anything on the site
Is there anything for the interior plastic panels that is resistant to static a little afterwards so the plastic doesnt attract dust as bad ??? Love the videos !!
You should do a video on how you clean your microfiber towels
I saw the air compressor and had to check this out.
Awesome info brother. New subscriber here.
Telsa's vegan leather is really nice upgraded vinyl that is why it reacts that way.
Josh..I have to say that the Technicians Choice Ceramic Spray is the 💣. I cannot express how much this product blew me away. I used it in on the exterior of my truck . 2 weeks later when I sprayed the vehicle with water before washing I was blown away by the hydrophobic properties and slickness still. My new go too. I will try it on the interior next.
Were you blown away as compared to other ceramic sprays you have used, or was it the first ceramic spray you used and you were blown away by how ceramic sprays work?
@@luke9822 I’ve used several others. You can use this in the son. A little goes along way. It’s a great topping also to any protection you already have in place (wax, sealant,or ceramic)
Are you using technicians choice instead of 303 then to protect?
How does Super Clean compare to Simple Green, which is an EPA certified Safer Choice, low toxicity degreaser? It is as Lao available in gallon jugs and can be deputed to various strengths.
I have also used the Sam’s Club bulk gallon jug degreaser for several years to clean equipment, etc. But it seems to be a little harsher than the Simple Green, and haven’t been comfortable using it on any interior cloth surfaces.
Also, I did get the power drill brushes you recommended, and have been very pleased with them.
Are you using the Ridgid 4.5gal in your van? When the motor kicks on does it flow enough cfm for a Tornador to run pretty much continuously? What size hoses are you running with yours? In my shop I run a 30gal compressor with 3/8 hose....trying to buy everything to set up a van.
Not sure if you have a video of cleaning the interior and applying the TC 582 ? If not, it would be great to see how you clean and apply the 582 protection.
I use ONR to wipe down dashboards n doors n plastics when customers don’t wNt any shine on there plastics works real good
Would you consider doing a video on diluting chemicals?
You should make video for air compressors. Any cheaper and good option other than the rigis 4.5 gallon?
Thanks!
Josh - So then would you want an extractor more than a steamer?
Second, in lieu of an extractor, would you just carry the Rigid vacuum and do the extractor conversion do you’re carrying fewer machines/tools.
New guy and really learning a lot from your channel. Thank you!
Best UV protection is Aerospace 303, I've been using it on my boats, RV rooftops, and all my vehicles. No sheen, no greasy feeling, look it up. Put this stuff on your tires and they look new. Look it up and try it, you will not be disappointed
I don't have an air compressor, but it's going on my Christmas list!
Hello Josh. What dilution ratio do you use for the TEC582 on interiors? TIA 👍
Hi Josh. New to the channel. I'm up in the north east dealing with salt deposits on floor mats. Just a diy'er. Can you recommend a cleaner? I'm originally from San Jose. They didn't use salt in Lake Tahoe. Thanks.
Yo Josh!! Can you make a video on how to properly ceramic treat a car with your top ceramic detail spray suggestions? With a wet vehicle or dry vehicle etc . . I’m a bit confused on when it’s best to apply. I know you like ceramic detail spray but I wanted to see if there was like a top five for you. Thanks!
Great video, Josh! Question: When I was young, I'd clean my dad's Toyota Celica and I'd use Armor All for the interior. What do you think of Armor All with the interior these days? We have a Ford Bronco Sport.
Armor all is absolutely horrible. From my experience and from researching it myself it is crap. But do some research and ask several other professionals.
Josh, can you use your linked extractor as a dry vacuum first, empty it, then use it as an extractor after a wet cleaning?
I feel a steamer is more ideal. it still has the benefits as the air compressor. Maybe not as powerful but thats where the heated steam and compression loosens things up.
Dude, I've never seen any of your videos I didn't like. I can see that you actually study before you make a video. Also, I am a full time detailer at a large automotive group in St. Louis Mo. We use that ceramic spray and I like Technicians Choice products. Well the company trained us to use it on the exterior surface. Well, i noticed how effective it is on interior surfaces as well. I've be criticized for using it on interior surfaces. With your permission, I will show this video to other employees and maybe management. Thanks again for this video and your knowlege. Oh yea, I use super clean for personal details. Have a blessed day
great vid man
subscribed not too long ago
for the ceramic spray, since you use it inside the car instead of outside, do you dilute it at all or just use it straight out of the bottle for your interior?
Can somebody answer the mix ratio. I usually use 10-1. But only as a detailer. I usually have a thicker and longer lasting interior spray for my regular maintenance like before summer months.
Do you have a video of the Fabric Softener hack?
Josh, what brand(s) of spray bottle(s) do you use? I couldn't find any on your web site. Thanks!
Og vid good advice
Do you have any cleaners on the compressed air? I've always heard there's oil/moisture and worried it can stain surfaces
Hi Josh - Have you done a video on polishing and coating over decals? and how about non metal bumpers / fenders can you polish with wax/ compond? spray coat with ice seal and shine for example?
Like Josef i love this channel and the knowledge and experience you share! MUCH appreciated!
In case Josh doesn't answer, I'll give you mine. Yes, you can.
During the colder and wetter months I'll put down a sealant like, Turtlewax 'Seal and Shine', P&S 'Beadmaker', or Meguiars 'Hybrid Ceramic Detail Spray', and then put down a layer of Turtlewax 'Graphene and Ceramic Carnauba Wax' or Meguiars 'Classic Paste Wax'. This way you're putting down the layer of durability underneath and then adding another layer of lesser protection and loads of gloss on top (as the shine boosting sacrificial barrier).
Putting the wax on first reduces the effectiveness and longevity of the sealant as it only adheres to the wax rather than the clearcoat layer. Plus there's less gloss in the sealants.
@@as680783 thanks for the reply! I would have waxed before the spray on ceramic coating. Great recommendations. Much appreciated.
I’d go with compressed air before extractor. Being able to blow out junk is better than getting at the stuff that can’t be easily seen. Too many people think the value of a detailers time is low. To get to a lower price point, close is at good as it gets. Clean? 😁😁😁 yeah, it’s clean.
Great information as usual Josh. Thanks for all your excellent tips and product advice.
I’m looking for a good 75ft or 100ft pressure washer hose what brand would u recommend and I have a vacmaster but want to use a smaller hose to big an short attachments are ridiculously big help me out🥺
Stand with you 110% an extractor is great to have, but the air compressor? With the tornado attachment? Its a must
Hey boss what compressor do you use in your trucks? Looking for a good fit
What about using an air blaster not quite a Master blaster but the smaller units instead of an air compressor for interior detailing instead of using an air compressor?
Yo Josh wus up Ray from lucky Ray’s Mobile Wash from Texas keep up the good work on your videos
Quick ? How do I get one of those hats DTLR I like it plus I’m I’m a hat collector
2 Questions: Do you toss the used Microfiber towels away after use or wash them?
Can you recommend a good soap for Bug removal? My Sprinter has bug splatter from a weeks worth of traveling?
Could we see a Suttner ST-2605 spray gun review?
What do you think of the Tornado devices on your air compressor ?
Are they as good as the hype ??
any advice on chems for water spots on fabric seats?
What’s the best cleaning solutions and methods to clean a fabric interior that mice have urinated on from a car that’s been sitting for a few years carpet as well as seats
Yes basically your dressing plastic leather coating and by the way your channel is great 👌👍
Exactly! Thanks so much
What dilution do you use for technicians choice for interiors?
The million dollar question........the mix ratio for tech choice I like 10-1 for interior. I don't like to use it straight even exterior mixed to 5-1. Its a very thick formula. I hate to wasted by wiping most of it off. I use power lock plus for the detail and tech choice for maintenance. The car looks like it had a ceramic coat installed. Anybody has a different ratio? 👍👍
