- Hey! Hope you enjoy my version of this awesome 80s song! For some reason, this one gave me a lot of trouble while recording, but I finally got a good take for you! The solo isn't completely accurate, but I did what I could right now and hope to improve it in the future! Thanks, everyone:)
Hey guys! Hope you like this one! I would like to say that I'm sorry for not mentioning Robin Crosbys guitar skills when I was talking about Warren! Those two were a killer duo and I don't want to overlook his incredible work on this song!
Dope 😊
Emily nice playing keep up the great work. if i may i was reading your bio you like 80s rock here is one for you a group called x Japan the guitar players name was hide he also had sole work a song called dice by hide i think you will like it is a 90s song but x Japan is the group he was from check them out if you have time would love to hear you play them for your channel best of luck to you
IIRC, Robin said he could play whatever Warren could play. He was overshadowed by Warren and that is what caused him to get depressed and spiral out of control with drugs etc.
Great job but my only nit pick is you missed the ringing note like at the 3:56 mark every time. That is such an iconic part of the song coming out of the breaks. Other than that - marvelous job.
Loved Ratt growing up in the 80s. FF to today and my favorite band has two lead guitarists who are next level. They harmonize longer than most solos. One endorsed by ESP the other by Dean. The pace they play at is nauseating and perfection. Oh, btw, they're both females. Midori and Miyako of the all-female band LOVEBITES. I recommend Judgement Day live. They're back from hiatus with a new bassist and ready to melt the earth's face. 🤘
I’m grew up in the 80’s and was a huge metal head. I find this highly entertaining that the youth today are going back to the vault to learn this stuff.
Rock on🤘 best music ever!
Yeah, I’m exactly the same. It’s good to see that they've realised that a lot of stuff that’s way before their time was actually really good. 😊
I still find albums by groups I liked in the 80s that I didn’t own back in the day, so am still discovering stuff myself. 🤘🏽
I am happy too, I hope that kids figure out that playing actual instruments is fun and more rewarding than pressing on a computer keyboard
Sadly music today don’t have riffs and licks like they used too!
That’s cause the 80’s had the best guitar rifts..
This song came out when I was eleven, and now I’m fifty-one! Thank you, so much for honoring our decade!!!!
Right there with ya!!! I'm 53, my brother is 55, and I can thank him for my love of everything Ratt (and Dokken, Great White, Whitesnake. LA Guns, G-n-R, Cinderella, Def Lepard, Poison, Slaughter, Extreme, Kix, and on and on and on.) I can still remember when he brought this album home and jammed it for days!! Thankfully our parents were the coolest parents in town, and would sit and jam to it with us. Great memories!! So thankful to grow up when I did!!!!
@@johnhaas9984 53yrs also and we obviously listened to the same stuff :)
I’m 53yo and grew up listening to 80’s hair metal (which I still listen to today) and that’s a killer job and love the blue Ibanez!
Thanks!!!🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
I’ve been playing since 1984 and this was BIG for them. Like every year in the 80s,especially the first half. GREAT COVER!!!!!
God bless all the ratt n rollers! Jesus saves sinners!
I love Warren’s playing. He was one of the most underrated guitarists in the scene. I’m 56 so it was my scene! ✌🏻☠️✌🏻 Great cover!!!
I was born and raised in San Diego (class of 85) some of my high school buddies were friends with a few of Ratt. To this day I remember the first time I heard that song on KGB while driving. I have tried the guitar in the past, always gave up in frustration, never made it past a week or two. You have inspired me to dust off the old acoustic and give it another try, this time with a well laid out plan. Thank You!
So happy for you! Keep at it!!!
Today is my birthday April/24th and I'm 58 and still rockin!! I grew up in the 80's & love watching you play guitar and you're only 18!.....that's awesome Emily!!
Great Band great song great cover glad young people are still keeping this music alive.
Keep Rocking!
love to see the younger generation rock out music from the best decade ever!!
Rock on!🎸🤘
God bless all the ratt n rollers! Jesus saves sinners!
Fun to see the younger generations still keeping Ratt alive 😄nice solo 👍
I love that guitar
Thanks for keeping 80s music history alive its up to the youth now and you are doing it justice with you playing it❤
Thanks!!!
Crazy opening up for those guys in SF! Really stoked you are keeping up the RAWK on all levels.
I’ll be 50 later this year… grew up in the 80s… Ratt was actually my first ever concert in 1986. You just earned a sub with this awesome cover. Cheers!
Thank you!!
Thank you!
Mine too. Bonjovi opened for Ratt in 1984. Erie, PA
@@mikemaj8467mine was Ratt in 1985 with Bon Jovi opening in Bloomington Mn.
saw Bon Jovi open for Ratt in Cape Girardeau, MO…Ratt gave Bon Jovi MINIMAL floor space on the stage to set up…i don’t know if BJ said we don’t need much room, or Ratt not giving them the room since Ratt were the headliners….i’ve heard it was the latter…😂
It’s cool to see your generation rockin my generations music. 🤘🏻
It's the best🤘🤘🤘
Love the Blue Guitar 😎 Great Job Emily!
Hell yeah! Keep the 80s alive!!!
Of course!
Perfect 80s hair band tone and a great cover! Really enjoyed watching/listening! Solo was good too! It is a tough one to get perfect, DeMartini was a beast, but you did it justice!
Thanks a lot!
Hey Emily, this is a great tune I had this album, Out of The Celler when it came out in 1984 you did a good job covering it I like you because you appreciate the 80's music Good Job,
Definitely smoother than I would have gotten it. Love that rythm tone.
Thanks!
Warren Demartini got me into playing the guitar! Warren and Robbin had a very distinctive sound with their dual guitar parts, great choice!
Awesome job !! Guitar tone is spot on !
I'm glad I found this channel. Very nice work.
Round & Round is my favorite Ratt song; the video especially because Milton Berle appears in it.
Keep on jamming the classics!!! Old metal heads love seeing new young talent!! You kick ass!!
Thanks so much!🤘🎸
Love the sign in the back.
😂😂🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸
Saw Ratt in concert , good stuff. Great job. The guitar 🎸 is wicked
I was a teen when this song was released and Ratt was one of my favorite bands .... love seeing the younger generation still rocking to this stuff :). Great job !!
That Ibanez what a great color ⚡️🎸❤️🔥💫💙 tone rocks 🤘
Thanks so much!
Nice! Love the Whitesnake '87 vinyl in the background!
This was my favorite song is 10th grade. I can’t believe all these years later I’m watching someone so young play bring this back. I guess art is universal and timeless. Thanks for posting.
☺️🙌🤘🤘🤘
Great job! You had the 80's vibe going with the big curls and a leather jacket. Also, that's an awesome looking guitar with the neck inlays.
Born in the 70's, grew up in the 80's with this music. Great job, keep it up, and thanks for sharing.
It is so cool to see young generation loving the 80´s metal and hardrock music, the music that I grew up with. Btw , you have great skills for just 3 years of playing guitar and a very nice collection of guitars ! Thanks and stay tuned. Greetz from Germany.
Thanks!
Nice job! Warren DiMartini definitely has a unique style. I think your solo worked really well with the track and captured the spirit, if not every note. Well done!
Thanks so much! I appreciate it!
you rock you have that 80s meatal soul keep it up
Warren of Ratt and Reb Beach of Winger are criminally underrated. I love Beavis and Butt-head but they destroyed Winger unfairly. Reb's solo and outro on "Headed For A Heartbreak" is simply perfect. And Warren's solo on "Round And Round" is a true "hair metal" classic. Hell between George in Dokken, Warren, Reb and Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson in Night Ranger you have some of the most melodic monster players of the awesome 80s. So many great underrated players were shunned because they played in "hair metal" bands. George Lynch was a finalist for the lead in the Blizzard of Ozz which went to the late, great Randy Rhoads-whom I worship to this day. It's a shame Warren ,Reb ,Brad, Vito in White Lion and the guys in Queensryche are consistently underappreciated by many. But folks like you and I appreciate their skill and talent. Always have. Always will. Keep rockin.
Thanks! Reb is insane! So many good riffs from him!
Nobody in the guitar community underrates Warren Demartini or Reb Beach or any of the other guys you mentioned.
@pastorofmuppets1968 ..."in the guitar community..." True. Was talking in the broader sense....
It’s like you built a Time Machine and walked out in 2024. You have the 80s on lock! Nicely done. Guitar sounds great. This is one of my faves from that era.
Haha🤘🤘🤘🤘 thanks! And glad to hear it!
Love this song! I love the distortion and the squealing of the pinch harmonics.
That Ibanez is VERY BEAUTIFUL ;)
You nailed it! Spectacular!
You are hired! SatinSteele bringing back the 80s hard and strong! Reversal tomorrow at 7pm.....Abilene texas
@Guitarby Emily, I came across your channel when it showed up in my feed. It was the talent show video. I'm tickled to have found it!! I'm now a subscriber, and can't wait to see more from you and your guitar. For only playing for 3 years I think you said, you rock!! I'm 53 and I'm a fan. The biggest thing for me is that your song choices take me back to my teenage years and I absolutely love being their in my mind. THE BEST times of my life. I would not trade what I have now, my wife and kids are my world, but I would love it if the world was just like it was then. You'll understand what I'm saying someday, trust me. I'd give anything if I had listed to my parents, to slow down and not rush growing up. Enough of that, but I'd like to suggest you look into some of Great White's tunes. With you style of playing it would be a perfect fit for you. Until next time!!✌✌
Thanks so much for subbing! So much more coming!!
I remember hearing this in '84. It was always on the radio. I used to listen to it while banging out Calc II in college.
Haha love it!
Ratt mastered the 80's rock tone. Great cover!! 🔥🔥
Thanks!
This warms my heart
Bravo 👏 👏👏!! Well done, Emily! Great progress!! Great song, great band, and a great guitarist Warren is. Keep up the great work. 🤘🤘
Thanks so much!
Very well done!! Clean sound and technique!
Just had a flashback to 1984 ( fake id/under 18 ), front row, Stephen Pearcy reached out and chugged my .25 cent pitcher down - Nicely done cover 😄🤘
I’m in LOvE with that guitar! ❤
Excellent Emily, you're very charismatic and talented. I love your smile !
Thank you!!
Awesome! I have that guitar and the Dimarzio Gravity Storm pickups Rock. Very Tasty !!
Good job that's a classic. It's nice to see young kids appreciating the music that happened in my era. The 80's were a great time for a lot of things and music especially rock and metal flourished. I am truly blessed to have been a youngster in that era.
Again great job and yes Warren got a lot of attention but Robin could hold his own.
Thanks! Robin and Warren were an incredible duo
Great 80's tune! Great riffing!
Yeah !! Super Nice !! Like the End.
Nice one love this song and era !!! You rock!!!
My dear brings back so many memories for me thank you ! I also was an 80’s teenager who the best music was ever created !🎉
Glad you enjoyed it
Outstanding!!
Great job Emily! Ratt is the best 🐀🎸-this is one of my favorite tunes ever to play. The rhythm and lead tone they got on Out of the Cellar is awesome and it’s not easy to dial in exactly. I love the rhythm tone you had on this, it’s really, really good! And you did great on the solo-this is one of the most iconic guitar solos ever. Warren and Robbin were such a great guitar duo. Rock on! 🤘🏼
Thanks so much! Rock on🤘🤘☺️
I liked and subscribed before she started playing. I already knew it was going to be good. Thank you. Time to play.
Awesome! Thank you!
You are refreshingly honest and did a good job of a particularly tricky song. With that positive attitude your playing will progress quickly and I look forward to more videos.
Thank you so much! Always practicing and learning more!
Outstanding!
Awesome you always look like you're having a blast music is also my drug of choice
🤘🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Wow nice that was great. nice guitar collection keep rocking on
Rock on!
Solid effort. I enjoyed your performance
YOU ROCK EMILY! 🎸⚡️🎸 Warren would be so proud of you! CHUGGA CHUGGA SISTA ☮️
Thanks!
Its always great to see guitarists covering the greats and making it thier own with diminishing the spirit of the original. Nicely done!.. Great video.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome job Emily! I always love some Ratt. You nailed it.
Thanks!!!!
Cool!!!! ❤ Awesome job Emily!!!! Well done!!!!😊 🙂🙂🙂😍🥰😍🥰🙂😀😋 RATT was one of my favorite bands back in 1984-1985!!!! Along with Def Leppard and Motley Crue, Scorpions, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne when I was 14 back then!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!😊 Nice to see someone young that truly appreciates and likes 80s ROCK!!!!❤ your channel!!! P.S. I also like ❤️ Quiet Riot a lot (I prefer the Metal Health version of QUIET RIOT) 😊🙂
Thanks so much! Those are some killer bands! I genuinely love the era and it's my passion so I'm glad it carries into my videos!🤘🙃
Samesies, Bro! I would have turned 14 in late '84. I loved all those Bands, as well. Pries cam e just a little later for me. My top Band by 3 miles is Van Halen. Def Lep probably #2. Journey. .38 Special. Night Ranger. And then of course... Ratt and Dokken. Lynch and DeMartini were game-changers. But yeah - I remember when this came out on MTV with Milton Berle in the vid. I couldn't beleive what I was hearing. About that time.... my Buddy was turning me on to them as well. Blew me away!
I grew up in the 80's and saw Ratt like 3 times, had my typical HS band rocking and even later as an adult had my "rock star" dreams playing out live in a few rock festivals. Just wanted to say keep rocking and keep working at it you will get there. "Pretty" good so far.
Great Job, Emily! Your playing keeps getting better and better. Your hair and that jacket, was a great combo!
Thanks so much!🤘🤘🤘
@@guitarbyemily You're welcome! 🤙
Well done! You’ve captured the feel of the song for sure. Another gorgeous guitar. +1 for nails matching jacket.

WOW!!!!! Friggin amazingly gorgeous and can make that guitar rock too. 😍🥰
Thanks!
Great job! This video made me smile. I remember playing air guitar, in my room, to this song so many times. I think I was 14 ish.
Ratt was a great 80’s band that frequently gets overlooked.
Thank you 🙏
Rock on! Thanks! And glad you liked it🎸🤘
@@guitarbyemily Oh! I forgot! That’s one beautiful guitar. That’s one thing I love about Ibanbz, they make works of art. 🤘🏻

Awesone baby!!
This was great! Smooth transition between chords, and using the ghost notes between the more difficult position changes. Really loving your videos and progression Emily 🎸
Thanks so much!!☺️🤘🎸
Well played !!! Keep Rockin
I felt “The Grove!” Well done! That’s a really nice guitar you have and the tone is pretty much spot on.
Thanks so much!
First, I like your taste in music! I also admire your willingness to play admittedly challenging guitar songs and put them out on UA-cam despite the harsh and highly critical platform that it is! I also admire that you can smile and look relaxed while playing; I find this very challenging myself...Anyway, keep on playing!
Thank you very much!
I had my eyes closed listening and the solo sounded 💯 perfecto!
Thanks!
@@grissellevirga9936 EXACTLY
That was hot, the solo was awesome as well.
I saw Ratt in concert when they were first getting popular. 2nd row seats. It was awesome!
Absolutely stellar playing! 😮😁 Sounds incredible that tone too! Well done! Love the axe, that's killer! 💪🏻😎🎸
Thanks a lot!!! That guitar looks really pretty with the contrast of the red leather!
@@guitarbyemily Yes ma'am it does! I agree 100%!
¡Beautifully done!
Grew up in the 80s, this was one of my favorite bands and you did a great job, sounded great.
Excellent, keep on rocking girl!
Thank you! Will do!
Great Job! I just subscribed....As a guitar player I love watching other guitarists like this! Looking forward to more!
