- Hello! Hopefully, this video goes up without any issues, I was having some problems with copyright claims on this song. I had to make the video black and white to avoid some of the copyright claims on it, but that shouldn't effect the content! This is a metal classic from Dokken, featured in Nightmare on Elm Street in 1987! With Mr. Scary playing guitar and Don Dokken on vocals this is a killer song! Happy Halloween weekend guys!!!!
If you told me in 1987 I'd live to 2023 and watch (on my phone) a young girl who probably wasn't alive in the 90s play Dream Warriors on a Lynch signature......I would have been skeptical.

So true. I saw this at the theater. I was in a glam hair metal band like Dokken. Or more like White snake. It's great to see young people watch and perform real music played by humans.😅

Right ? 😂 it WAS fun, from what I remember. In all honesty, we probably had TOO much fun. We grew up in the best time for music PERIOD! So many different styles.. rock, rap, emo, thrash, new wave… whatever flavor you wanted.

I’m 55, my first concert was KISS in the Louisiana Superdome in 1983. Saw ALL of the great ones in the 80’s- Dio, Dokken, Crue, Sabbath, Maiden. Brings me great joy to see the young ones appreciate just how great the music was back then! Rock on, you are truly gifted. You have a very bright future ahead and keep chasing your dreams

Love seeing lot of younger folks enjoying these 80's bands that lot of us older farts were listening/playing to back in the day (enjoyed your rendition of Dream Warriors to boot). I still remember back in '87, a college classmate who dragged his guitar/amp into work one day along with Dokken's Back for the Attack and Under Lock and Key CD's, and said "listen to this" (playing Kiss of Death, and ripping along to it). My favorite groups at the time were bands like Journey, Triumph, Van Halen, Metallica, and a couple of Japanese rock acts that had these catchy neo-classical hooks to them, BUT Kiss of Death was something else (especially Lynch's solo) and how the guitar work on the next three tracks (Prisoner, Night by Night, and Standing in the Shadows) just kept drawing me in; that entire album made me an immediate fan of Dokken. Then when I lived in Japan, was astounded with how popular they were there (them and Winger had a fanatic base of fans in the country). Can't play much anymore myself (too much shoulder/hand pain due to nerve damage from head banging way too much in the past) but still have my collection of ESP, Jackson, Tom Anderson, and G-Life (a Japanese guitar maker) guitars. Great job! This was the first song I played on my ESP Kamikaze IV LE after I opened the case and held it for the first time. ESP stopped production on this model in 2004. When I finally had the money in 2006 they were nowhere to be found. My local mom and pop music store was an ESP Dealer and they made a phone call for a $5 deposit. They called ESP directly the next day and they had one of the first ones still hanging in their office in LA. I bought it sight unseen and have never regretted it. My number 1 player. Great song, great guitar! Your videos Rock!

Look into getting a boss js 10, and a powered speaker. That's what I play through. I can get any guitar tone. Van Halen, Dokken, George lynch live, Rush, and so on name it, I have it. It's easy to use, too. All the tones are spot on. Again, have fun and ROCK ON.

I saw Dokken at the Orange Bowl in Miami June 4 1987 the day after I turned 17. George Lynch was unbelievable!!! Metallica killed it too! Great job!

George!!! My favorite of all time, you did a great job. I’m with you on Lynch’s solos, I can play some but not all of them. Yes Dokken was sooo underrated and George was such a different guitarist that stood out. George is a hard one to follow he has some complicated solos. Nice work on the rhythm.

I was huge Dokken fan in the 80s and blows my mind this gen even knows anything bout Dokken let alone any hair metal days. I was teen woth hair to my ass. The best decade ever. Sunset blvd was the birth of the best genre there is. George Lynch is a god on a 6 string. If we had more young ppl just listen to some hair metal groups it might change this rap garbage over taking rock n roll. Tube amps an Strats is real music not a laptop

I never even paid attention to the lighting until you said something, and then I still didn't care. Never draw attention to something that you think may be imperfect. As far as your audience knows, that's the way you had it set because you desired it to be that way... The only time you apologize is if there was a problem that happened in the video that you could not control. Other than that rock on! 😁

@@guitarbyemilyFor sure! Nice guitar, too. I admit I'm a little jealous because I'd love to buy another fliyd-equipped guitar. I used to have a Fender Dave Murray Strat but I never could get the Floyd set up correctly. It always seemed like something was off or out of tune. I'd try to fix it and then some other issue would crop up, so I sold it.
@@finishin.my.coffee8780 I definitely recommend getting your guitar set up by a professional luthier if you don’t know what you’re doing. Lucky enough a really great guitar tech works at my guitar center so I use him when I need help. But, I don’t recommend just letting anyone at a store work on your guitars they can mess up a lot! I’ve learned a lot and pretty much work on my guitars myself now but I definitely have people I can take guitars to when things get out of my experience level!
@@guitarbyemilyYeah, I'm lucky enough to have a great tech who owns a shop down the road from my house. I thought about getting a Spark, too. They just came out with a cabinet for it but it's got a 10" speaker, which puzzles me a little. It's a full range speaker, I imagine, so most likely it's got great sound. Are you into Aerosmith, by any chance?

Lynch is the reason I have been playing Guitar for 40 plus years . Georges Tone I find easy to dial in on my Blackstar ID: Core 10 watt George used a lot of gain with Delay and Reverb as his riff tone & a Ibanez Tube screamer to get a little more mid's bite on his solos that extra bit . I learned this from talking with him personally on 3 different occasions . He played some smaller clubs in the mid 90's which made him accessible to talk Guitar with him and he's a Natural Teacher , yes I'm old lol ! Great Job and jealous of that Axe love the Kamikaze !!!
