- Stepmom Forces Dad to Throw Me Out on 18th Birthday to Make Room for Her Baby, I Refuse to Go Back After Learning They Stole Money From My Dead Mom's Rich Family.
#redditrelationship #redditupdate
This makes zero sense. Dad evicts his roommate after 18 years and acts surprised that the rent checks stop coming in??? wtf did he expect
Story sounds like a bully revenge fanfic
Drug addicts who are parnets have this kinda of logic
if you actually listened to the story, you would know that the dad didnt know that the money was coming from the mom side. he thought that it was coming from his dad. so basically he though that he could kick out the son and continue receiving the allowance.
i mean, is still very extrange behaviour, but is explained at least. looks fake, but i have seen very serious and respetable men that are actually quite old getting complety irrational over some chick that gives them some attention. pair that with one that already doesnt care too much about his son to begin with and i can see this happening
Narcissist don't use logic
If his make up scenario were correct, he even did a good move. Who cares about an adult grandkid? He made new one, which needs money, so grandpa will probably still provide, maybe more because toddlers are more costy
(aka he though for some reason that his dad is living on gold pile and is funding his kids live, no mattter his relationship with them)
So dad thought that Grandpa was giving him money to take care of OP and then proceeded to kick OP out and still expected Grandpa to give him money?
I mean they never said the father was a smart man, just an evil one.
Maybe he trouth the check Will continue because the new son
In his mind was: "I have another son for you to pay!" But Grandpa say: "The money comes from your dead wife's family, Asshole!" The treatment to OP bite him im the ass.
grandpa did nothing for 15 years, so he probably thought that it could continue now that a second child was coming
I mean he expected some deductions but didn't expect it to completely stop. He thought his dad would continue to fund his lifestyle 😅
That dad's a complete bastard.
So iss grandpa you don't think someone who pissed away all his money didn't skim some for himself.
Don’t call him a bastard, that’s too nice of a word to describe him
Agreed
@@leegraves8878 Eh maybe, maybe not. My dad took a lot of punishment before he had to give in and stop seeing his grandkids including 2 stress induced heart attacks. So I would imagine the thought of never seeing his grandson ever again probably made him accept that even if the dad is stealing the money his grandson is still alive and still nearby.
veronica too
I feel bad for the late mother. Practically everyone failed her child: Her FIL, her spouse, and her own child....She's probably rolling in her grave with how OP was treated
If the mother was alive, she'll probably divorce him and take custody of OP.
Do you mean "her own family"? Because I fail to see how OP failed themself.
@@artcasual99emotional neglect. They were so concerned with how alike the OP looked compared to his mom, that they didn't give a d@mn that they'd set him adrift emotionally. Kids need more than money.
@@argates6507 You seem to be confused, the person I responded to was listing the people who failed the late mom's kid, but also listed the late mom's kid (OP) as one of the people who failed. I know how her bio family failed OP, but I was wondering how OP failed OP.
Doesnt sound like your stepmom had to work that hard to get him to kick you out
The father was just looking for an excuse
Sooner or later he's going to lose everything all because of the father didn't care about his son and now he has no money left
the step mother probably fucked the dad so they aka the step mom and dad will kick his son out
Okay, Grandpa’s an AH too for letting OP be abused for so long before stepping in, and also for not just TELLING OP about the financial help in the first place! Like, he KNEW what his son was doing! OP vented to him about it regularly!
Mother’s family sucks too. Like, that’s the only piece of your daughter that’s left in the world! Why would you _avoid_ them!? 🤬
Imagine if OP looked like the mom and acted like the dad. Maybe irrational but it was their way to cope with OP's mom death
Im pretty sure its æi. Probably the video in the background too, the movement is interpolated for some reason. Or they are just not good people, because the thumbnail makes it look like its from a post, but the post isnt found anywhere in the description or video.
𝙸 𝚑𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚕𝚢 𝚊𝚐𝚛𝚎𝚎
Everyone failed this kid. His mother must feel ashamed of what her family and her husband's family did to him. Yes, including the grandpa, he allowed the abuse to happen that was just as bad as being the abuser
I think the mom died or else he wouldn't have grown up having to put up with his dad.
It's nice an all that they paid for his upbringing, but I think it was really messed up of his mother's family to refuse to be in his life for his entire childhood and think that sending money would be enough. I guess rich people aren't exactly known for their compassion...
I agree, but folks in poorer circumstances aren't all that sweet either. Look at OP's sperm donor. He only wants OP back because the mother's family stopped sending him the money meant for OP. And if the mother's family truly didn't care, they wouldn't have gone to meet OP at all.
Grief makes people do things that, on paper, are selfish. However, there's a deeper meaning to it most of the time. It clearly took them a long time to see the child of a lost loved one. I'm not saying it's an excuse but I can understand it. And being lacking in compassion is definitely not exclusive to rich people. I've known people in my financial bracket and lower who are downright nasty to their fellow people.
hey hey hey money is equal (for me greater than) emotional attachment
@@Black-Rose12maybe while you’re young. As you get older your priorities often change. Lots of miserable lonely rich people out there.
@@SnerMerNerMy grandma got weird stance on this. Like, she isn't rich, but earn more than she needs for general expenses. So she safe up for some time, and when got "enough", then split most of the money for her kids and the circle repeats. Also she does give too much to us (grandkids) for little things, like helping with getting her hair done, or just visiting. It's probably sweet of her, but because I still live almost in the same house, I got used to saying that groceries cost less than it does, because she gives me rounded up cash to unhealthy extend and like... she is nice, got her views I might not agree with, but instead of "buying love" she makes me more uncomfortable to just go and talk with her, because I don't want her money, and she can't understand that ._.
Remember that Granddad did not told them everything because he fear that DIL's family would take away OP.
everyone failed this kid
Ong
When getting kicked out, I would've told the dad that I wasn't surprised since he's been the biggest POS my whole life. Parading sl*t after sl*t in the home and now he was stupid enough to knock up his latest one.
Truer words have never been typed about this man, I'm guessing
Exactly
“Waaaaaah, you leaving after we kicked you out and us now loosing out on free money is all you fault”
Loooool both of these awful people can kick rocks
I can understand the gramps reasoning because, let's be real, the "father" would most likely let him die for money rather than help
A secret rich family paying for his needs. A horrible step mother. A bastard father and a loving grandpa sounds like a fictional story
God, this is so sad. Literally, every single adult in this story failed OP.
Honestly OP should sue his father and grand father for neglect and abuse. They stole his money.
Fr
The story sounds off. As if fake. Even if OP looks like his mom. Someone in the mother family should at least connect them. The grandpa and his consistence of letting his son off the hook is also fishy.
The only thing I can think is that grandpa was telling them that he is safe and little things about him.
Something tells me most of the posts on this channel are fake. 1st there is a character limit on AITA and this is so far over its ridiculous. 2nd im pretty sure AITA only allows 1 update. Ive seen so many of these vids with 2 , 3 or even 4 updates. 3rd Ive been following reddit stories for years and have never seen these stories on any other channels. That just doesnt happen.
Also conveniently there is the money aspect to use as punishment
Yes sounds fake, said he wanted to get a beer on his 18th birthday but if I’m not wrong, isn’t the age 21 in the states ? (He mentioned college, fall etc to indicate USA )
@cheesecake125 in the US it's 21 other places may be different
sorry but the grandfather was kinda selfish knowing that OP was living miserably basically not doing a damn. Like he defiantly could've done more considering how HE was the one giving OPs dad the money the maternal family.
Yeah, but also could just be a difficult spot. Raising a child usually needs a lot of effort, not even counting money that retired teacher doesn't have. Maternal side could've said that if dad doesn't care, then they won't too and leave just the two of them. Or take OP away and he would end up alone/with brat of a son. Many wouldn't take a risk
When AI forgets the details . . . "One of the reasons my dad didn’t want me to live with my gpa was because he doesn't have money" . . . "My dad thought the money for me was coming from my gpa ." 😂
It's always about the money. 🙄
OP is a good person, I would have been so fucking smug to my father and Veronica if they pulled that shit against me.
Don't mistake a good person from a pushover
This feels fake. Why mention the whole deal about his grandpa talking on the phone for an hour and a half and then not think anything about it at all after that? If he really hadn't thought that meant anything, he wouldn't have brought it up in a reddit post. He would have mentioned that later in a eureka moment, realizing why that was significant. Or he would've talked more about it at the time, wondering why everything was suddenly "taken care of" after a phone call. Seems more like an author telling a story and offering a hint to a plot twist than someone relaying the important bits of events from earlier in the day.
Title need to be changed stepmom didn't force that man hes grown he choose to agree to throw his own child out for his other one with the monster in law
It’s Reddit, so it’s always the woman that’s responsible for the decisions a grown ass man makes (A man that’s way older than her too. Yuck.)
Grandfather knew his son nature better its good that his extended family is good soo all worked out
I think this constitutes as proof that you don't gotta be smart to be evil. You can be a villain while still being really stupid.
Everytime someone asks if there A I get more and more pissed off.
I like the parkour he actually fails and goes back instead of it just being a speed run in the back ground where he doesn't fuck up makes me wanna watch the parkour and listen to the story more
So selfish grandpa won’t say a word as his grandson suffers from the emotional abuse from father and stepmother and commenters here call him loving?
literally everyone sucks here except OP my god
Op also sucks

This is an episode of "Perils of Pauline" from 1923. Nice one, AI.
It’s funny that women with kids expect a man to accept them and expect to know that they will come last in that family but women expect a man with kids to ether flat out desert said kids or to understand that the man’s previous kids to come last in said family.
the voice change in 5:06
There were at least 2 of these
Claim squatters rights for the home 😂. Sounds like dads outta the will now😂😂
When one door closes another one opens
"You look like your mom so we've been excluding you from our family because it hurts" thats the dumbest excuse ive ever heard for alienating your own grandchild. The maternal grandparents are just as bad as the neglectful father and the coward grandpa
To be honest, grandpa is a dick. All that OP lost over the years is coz he was afraid to speak up.
So the reason the mother side didn’t want to be a part of your life is because you look too much like your mom and it would just hurt them too much. That is so fucking stupid. My cousin looks exactly like her mother I mean she is literally her mothers spitting image. Why in the fuck would we tell her father to take her away and never bring her around because she looks too much like her mother? Of course we miss her mom every day, but thank God she had these two beautiful daughters, one being her exact replica. That is so dumb. Yeah I’m not buying a bullshit. They should’ve just jumped up and intervened immediately, especially when they were the ones paying for everything!
Im am sorry for your loss and I hope you are okay and your family ❤🫂🫶
Why would he want to stay ? Makes no sense .
Dad had at least a couple of years of chances to be a good father, and OP was thinking about giving a second chance. Bro, dad missed his second chance a couple of years ago.
6:45 there’s a major flaw here. Adult or not, if you’re a dependent, they can’t legally throw you out
I just cannot believe the dad is just using him as a piggy bank so he won't have to go broke. The dad has no love for his son all he ever cares about is the money that's it now he's going to go broke so there's nothing he can do about it maybe he should have treated his son better instead of treating him like garbage
Everybody failed OP. The dad. The grandfather. The mom’s family! It’s so fucked up smfh
6:14 tf I begging to stay there for? I’d be happy and fuck right off to gramps. This is a blessing my g
Sad story, good ending. I would call his dad the c word, but clearly he has no depth and is incapable of providing anything meaningful.
"I knew his new avatar was too good to be true"
No one speaks like that. Fake AF. Another AI story
1:53 i think he kinda looks at you as his son but still treats you coldy
That dad is screwed in the head, but ops mom grandparents are Rockstars, there awesome people.
Veronica! Open, open the door please! Veronica open the door! Veronica, can we now fight anymore please, can we not fight anymore?
WTF you don't want to meet the son of your daughter because he looks like her ... that is insane.
Is it just me or did anyone noticed the voice change
Grandpa had his reasons for not telling the family about OP’s upbringing, but if I was OP, I would still be hella pissed at him. If she was taken out, or something, then at least she wouldnt have to deal with that awful trash father and his thirtieth gf/wife.
I know theyre definitely not the problem and more of the solution, but its kinda heartless from the mother's side to not want to meet your grandson/nephew ever just because he looked like the mother
She’s been doing what most black women have for years and it’s why we are community is in such financial instability. It is important that a partner is stable regardless of his heart. In this day and age 20k is not enough to live. And stability requires one to be able to take care of themselves without a partner. We have to stop coddling men in order to gain romantics interest. Money matters and it’s foolish to say it doesn’t. And before you say it no I’m not single, yes I have two degrees, and I make good money. And I required my partner to do the same.
This totally happened.
yeah, I call bullshit on mother's family not wanting to meet op, makes no sense
As a father myself, i can never treat my 3 daughters that way.
Parents had every right to kick OP out.. You're 18 time to move out. Grow up.
Good thing he didn’t grow up to be like you.
In this economy, no it really isn't easy
The title already seems a bit crazy
These people are all selfish assholes. This kid had to suffer because he was too much of a reminder of his mother? So much so that they refuse to see him? How about this is the link to their loved one whom they've lost? The grandfather kept his mouth shut because he was afraid of losing him and afraid of losing out on the money. The father was an absolute asshole and only wanted the kid around because he wanted the money.
Emotionally immature people ruined this kids childhood. Ruined it to the point that it will remain with him the rest of his life and changed who he is as an adult.
I'm thinking this kid would be well rid of all of them.
story sounds dumb. Grandpa had control of the money but never did shit about how the father treated the son.
This sounds like complete bull, his mom's family didn't want to see him and never attempted to his entire life all because he looks so much like her mom? Looool okay
There's no sound
Op entire " family " sucks.. the spermdonor sucks for how he treated op the grandpa sucks for not fighting to get op out of the hell op was in their entire life and pretty much skimming money off the top for himself op mom side sucks for pretty much being distantly complicit in the abuse op went through....
pleaseee i hope op told his mother's side of the family what dear ex son-il was up to
dAMN THIS SEEMS LIKE THE OP MADE ANOTHER POST THAT I COVERED IN MY VIDEO, DIDNT KNOW IT HAD A 1 PART
Please train your AI. AITA stories are usually shorter. These made up stories are well written, BUT they go through a whole lot of drama and epic saga storytelling before asking AITA? Makes no sense.
Soo... Guess who is going to be divorced soon, alone and have to pay alimony because, for sure, he lied about his income.
Look I’m glad the was a “happy ending”, but OP should have been beyond mad at every single adult in his life. His mother’s family left him to live in a horrible situation all because they couldn’t deal with their own grief. They abandoned OP because “it hurt too much”. I’m sorry, but f#ck your grief there is a child that needed love, support, and attention and you denied him that. Can you imagine disrespecting your deceased loved one on such a level? The mom would be so devastated and heartbroken to know her son was denied a chance with a loving family all because they couldn’t deal with their grief in a healthy way. “Oh we didn’t know how you were being treated.” Bull. You would have known had you actually been there. I’m enraged and this story is probably fake. Ugh.
So confused as to why the OP’s maternal grandparents and the rest of her family just decided to ignore their existence after age 3 when OP’s mother died. I have never heard of something so stupid!
And NO it does not matter that they have been paying for OP for years. Denying a child of the love and emotional support of his mother’s extended family is a crappy thing that no actual loving family would do. (This story sounds fake because of this ridiculous detail, among others.)
😂😂😂 12:12 sure, we are supposed to believe that his maternal family is “upset” that the OP was allowed to be mistreated for the last 15 years?! 😂😂😂 when they abandoned him? No one believes this BS story, right?
Honestly, everyone’s an AH in this situation besides OP. The dad and his wife of course are the biggest AH’s. But OP’s family and his grandfather are also AH. I’d give them both like at least 1.5/5 AH.
OP’s family are considered AH’s because of the fact that they literally stopped talking to a family member and cut them off and moved on with their life because of their pain and sorrow over the mom. Sending money is one thing, but it isn’t enough. Be a family, support her child, don’t sit here and abandon the last thing she left on this earth because of the fact that “you look too much like her.” That’s just total BS.
Grandpa is an AH because he should’ve said something WAY sooner, and maybe the family would’ve stepped in earlier and actually realized the error of their ways if they knew what OP was going through. Of course in the beginning it wasn’t considered report worthy or worth going to a judge for custody, but the moment it started getting worse and the father started being cold and everything, the grandpa should’ve instantly told them.
5:20 yeah i dont know about that
