i wish i knew this trick before...wasted many hours to clean off the ramained glue on my windows
How about the rear window this one I have interest in removing. Mine is so bubbly that i can’t see anything through the rear. U mention to be careful of the electrical aspect. I want to do this but fear I make the defroster void.
The rear is more difficult, it is possible to ruin part of the defrost. For this reason you could also pay a pro tint shop to do the rear window just in case.

Took me over an hour to clean a drivers side door using a heat. Took it to a professional shop and the tint they placed on the back window has streaks. And they loosened the cloth from the C-pillars!
Ugh! I haven’t tried the heat method. I’ve used windex on several cars and it works every time. YMMV depending on what an installer used for glue.
@@BIMMERZEITT So, you are not going to re-tint your car? I have thought of removing the tint. Though I do live in a town with 340 days of sun.
@@stephencurry8552 I am not a fan of the aesthetic of tinted windows. I prefer the non-tinted factory appearance. But I do appreciate the function of tinted glass for protecting occupants and leather seats.
