Welcome to my latest video for @Khon Kaen Den. In Part 1, Beau and I visit the great city of Udon Thani which is about 120 kilometres from Khon Kaen city. Here we visit many places, including De Princess Hotel, Moco Hotel, UD Town, Day & night, the Brick House Inn, Bombay Indian Cuisine and several other places to give you an idea of what Udon Thani is all about. Part 2 out Wednesday. Don't forget, if you like this video, like subscribe and comment. Hope you enjoy, Den.
Great video & very good idea...show us more of Isan please when you can. Chook cafe in Adulyadej road is good for breakfast & coffee..waiting for part 2
Brilliant! Thank you so much for your kind words. Part 2 will be up Wednesday (finish editing tomorrow). Yes, I will eventually be travelling all over Isan. Not just cities but everywhere!!! That was always the plan. Few ore things to show you from Udon in Part 2... but many, many more things to do there and will return very soon for more videos! Thanks again, Den.
Haha... yep. But that was because it was loud. Honest!!!?!?!!? Yeah, love Udon. Got a good vibe to it. It's not all bars and nightlife though... hopefully you will see that in part 2 out tomorrow. Thanks, Den.
My wife suggested we move to Udon for a bit before we get settled in KSK since it tends to be a bit more farang oriented than Khon Kaen, while still being an easy drive to her village. It’s good to know that I have both options and hour or so away from where we plan to call home.
Hey, John. To be honest, Udon is an awesome city. Probably got more going on in terms of foreigners than Khon Kaen... definitely more foreigner friendly. It has the US army base there (from the Vietnam war as I am sure you're aware). This has helped the place grow into a more foreigner-friendly place. Loads to do and I only scratched the surface while there. Been there 20-30 times over the years and always loved it. KK is still home, but, who knows, Udon could win my heart one day! Living in between Udon and Khon Kaen might well be the perfect solution!!! You have chosen wisely, my friend haha! Cheers, Den.
I am so glad you did this trip together, Beau and Den! Keep that love spark alive! Life is a strange and mysterious journey, nothing is given, and everyone needs to and should spend these special moments together whenever they can. What a nice hotelroom! You deserve a luxury treat, you are both so sweet. Udon Thani is a great place too, I know some farangs staying there, living a happy life with their wife and kids. Oh, that Indian food looked delicious! Great video again, thank you, guys😊🙏💖
Hey, Sarlina. Yeah, we deserved a weekend away... KK is awesome but Udon Thani is, in my opinion, far more foreigner friendly. It has more bars, restaurants and things to do. Don't get me wrong, KK is my home and I love it. But, just like with your favourite film or series, you still have to watch others sometimes! Been to Udon 20-30 times over the years and love it, though went to a few new places this time. Yeah, for 1600 baht... the room was amazing and there is a swimming pool and gym too. However, they sound like hard work and I would rather visit restaurants haha. You are so right about special moments. We haven't had many recently. It has all been about the channel and other annoying stuff... but this was for us. Yes, I filmed bits... but not that much (lots of short edits). We needed some much-needed time together. The Indian food was awesome... made my night as we were going to have Italian (didn't look good), then Mexican (closed after going 6 kms in a Grab taxi haha)... then Indian. Never lets me down and I am not complaining haha. Soooooo delicious. If you come back to Thailand, you can do KK, Udon and Non Khai... you will love it. PROPER Isan!!!! Anyway, take care, Sarlina. Part 2 out on Weds!!!! Have a wonderful day and stay that super-positive self. Den!
@@KhonKaenDen Thanks, Den, you are always the positive one yourself 😊 Didn't quite understand the part about "if you come back to Thailand" though. I have family just outside Sung Noen, half an hour south of Nakhon Ratchasima 😊 I visit them frequently. My condo is in Jomtien. I also have family in Indonesia, and in Norway. Yes, I hope your Sunday was a quiet one, just concentrating on your own well being. Maybe you gave your lovely wife a spa treatment? She would appreciate that very much 😀 See you in the next one 🙏👍😊
@@sarlina1 Hey again Sarlina... Yeah I forget that you have been (and lived) in many places with lots of friends and family!!! Yeah, Sunday was quiet... never even thought of that but maybe I should treat Beau to a nice spa treatment one day!!! Hope you are keeping well and part 2 of Udon will be out very soon indeed! Take care as always and speak soon. Den.
Hi, you just drove past our village on the right after the turn off for Nong Saeng 2316. and i'm going to find out when you finally get your pint of Guinness if it was in the Irish Clock?
I look forward to seeing this channel get big. Big fan of your videos mate. Keep up the hard work! Little bit annoyed seeing you eating an Indian as its my favorite and ive not been to a proper city for a while to get one lo
Hi, mate. Hopefully it will grow... seems to be going in the right direction anyway. Love your channel too. You are very honest with everything. Too many channels are based just on trying to get views or whatever. And yes... I simply adore Indian food. It's too expensive to have all the time, but a great treat once in a while. Yeah, you need to hit a city for a curry haha. Take care, Den.
@@isaanman5399 Hi, Issanman... We were only there for 36 hours (1 night) so had to make a choice. However, many thanks for info on lots of alternative places. we will return for sure and I will take you up on some of those places! Udon is very much like Khon Kaen. Doesn't look like there is that much there to do, but scratch beneath the surface and there is plenty! I love Udon very much indeed! Thanks again for sharing. Den.
@@isaanman5399 ... the waterworld is not for adults but small children and slide not swim. Do not go into the lakes: Liverfluke. The city is nice to stay for a week. Central Plaza is great
Yeah, quite expensive for the room but it is a central city hotel with great staff and good service. Also, more expensive at the weekends. Would prefer to pay around 700-1000 baht for a room, really! Thanks for sharing, Den.

The Day & Night complex is always a joy to visit. It's so heartwarming seeing all of the older folk spending time with their granddaughters there.
We are moving up there in a few months. I’m super excited about it.
We live 35km South of udon Thani l think you will like it
Enjoyed the video, thanks.
I'll be staying in that hotel one day, looks great.
Cheers, Neil. Yeah great hotel and the staff are really good. Just a nice relaxing place! Cheers, Den.
I do enjoy your videos keep up the good work, your lady has a good sense of humor.
Hi, thanks for your kind words. I just try to be myself in the videos. Happy you like them... it makes my day! Cheers, Den.
Thanks guys for taking us along 🥳
Cheers, Ally. Love Udon... not home, but a very close second. Great place and very Isan like Khon Kaen! Thanks again, Den.

Really interesting Den. Wicked looking curry. Hilarious how your voice went up several octaves when pointing out girly bars: avert your eyes vicar!

That Room is good in a bar area. In case you go for a shower first you can keep your eye on the lady talking about the bar ladies.😅
Hahaha... yep. Decent little place to be honest. I actually really like Udon. Cool place. Cheers, Den.
I was wrong, it was the Brick House, I had a pint of Guinness in the Irish Clock, which i believe is now owned by the owner of.....The Brick House.
Yes. And he also owns Cheese to Meet You
ok so 1 week in udon thani for jomtien for a month great price
Lived there for a couple of months. Udon has no public bath nor swimming lakes. A dozen bars on Soi Sampan. I found it very boring
Yeah, I get that, to be honest. I really like the place (as I do Khon Kaen) but they are definitely not for everyone! Thanks for sharing. Den.

Your too high end for me. Thanks anyway.
😂😂😂
1650THB / night is WAY overpriced.
You are a liar, you are not in Thailand, it is not raining 🌧⛈☔😂🤣😂🤣
Sssshhhh.... don't tell anyone! This was actually filmed in California. haha.. Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
You are paying to much for everything helping put up the prices for everyone
