I wonder if a mod that can detect whenever the player places more than 50 or 100 or something blocks in quick succession, then "copy" those blocks and some of what's around it, and just plop that stuff somewhere else. Sure it won't be a perfect copy because of technological limitations and whatnot, but that makes it all the more eerie. Just imagine, you build a house, you go out exploring, hear weird noises, you come back to your base, some weird dirt towers / just random blocks you didn't place are there, then like 30 minutes later exploring you come across a bad copy of your own damn house. Would give such creeps, of *something* that is copying you actively, that's maybe trying to learn, or communicate, or who knows.

this one feels like one of those minecraft analog horror ARGs that've been popping up all over youtube lol, i like that it's more spooky and makes you nervous instead of being a big screaming unkillable mob
Honestly, for years I have heard extra footsteps, I am just so scared of anything that I don’t need mods. My cave noises are 0 and I usually play everything at 0 anyways.
See, I grew up with Herobrine and Null creepypastas so to me this is what Minecraft horror is about. Not scary things running at you, not in-your-face jumpscares, but the feeling of not being alone in your world without ever being sure. Was that thing you saw behind the tree a zombie or a creepy being? Was that mob dying a coincidence or intentional? Are you seeing things or does the sprite look off? Things like that. There's a reason I play without ambience on and that's because cave sounds are genuinely scary and I never feel safe below a certain y level.
Unfortunately Hollywood never understood that horror doesn't necessarily mean slasher and gore, so the demand for atmospheric horror never went up. On the other hand, fortunately, liminal space is becoming a buzzword. Let's see what the future holds.
the dog didn't teleported to you because when you died, you respawned FAR AWAY from that chunk, so the chunk got unloaded, and the dog got stuck on the unloaded chunk, if you get back to that chunk or someone else loads it, the dog will automatically teleport to you again.
my theory; that thing is a trapped player and this is HIS world you are in, and he gets mad every time you get near his stuff, and he will make YOU the trapped player
There should be a horror mod where the “entity” is not a sprite but a massive towering stone statue that cannot be destroyed. It would be absolutely silent making no noise and only move at night. It would be incredibly slow, but there would be absolutely nothing you could do to stop it. If you go three days without looking at it, it’ll begin to emerge from the ground 50 blocks away from your spawn point. If you’re caught within it, you’ll simply be trapped inside, never dying since its only made of an indestructible block.
reminds me of og herobrine/white eyes lore, where it's just a non-confrontational entity, building strange monuments in your world and generally just messing with your senses... until you get too curious
Silence was ass man, mid cheap jumpscares goofy ai goofy model, the silent idea is cool, having to keep quiet but aside from that I pretty much never put it in packs due to lack of subtlety and generally just being anoying. This is a big improvement.
Slow horror is good horror and the best horror is spicological horror We are scared of the dark not because of the bear that is in the cave. But the implication of a bear being in a cave.
I might be wrong, but i think this "crackling noise" you mention at 13:55 is just chickens walking, they do have a different step sound compared to other mobs
I think a big struggle in minecraft mods is that since you have to install it theres already a lot of info you have about what's gonna happen, diminishing the element of surprise (which is arrhenium)
22:25 you can only see the line below your cursor if the weapons is "recharging" (which it isn't in this portion of the video) or when you aim at someone/something (mob, player, etc.), while you're walking through the building you can see that the line below your cursor keeps reappearing, which means that there's at least 4 of some invisible entities in that building and you just went past them
Honestly I like how this mod definitely takes advantage of paranoia. For instance the cave sounds you hear _may_ just be normal cave sounds. Or the entity knows of your existence and is just messing with you. I also like the strange structures that look corrupted or broken. Made from strange building materials or just very basic yet strangely eerie. The mob design also looks very uncanny too. I just hope they add more things to flesh this out.
I love horror mods like this. Nothing extremely jarring or trying to kill you. Simply you and the creature coexisting in the same world without a bunch of contact at first. Like its more of a natural entity.
There should be random creeper holes and trees that spawn with a block removed and a crafting table next to the. and really late into the mod, the entity would walk up to you and start shift crouching.
The mod itself makes you paranoid to the point you don't belive that you're alone in your singleplayer world and the music you used makes it so much creepier
Finally a minecraft horror mod that cares about creating an eerie ambience putting around strange structures and weird stuff to make the player think that there is something wrong with the world instead of just bombing the world with dwellers and spamming on the player cheap png jumpscares that come from completely different games or creepypastas
What would be a really good touch for a slow burn monster mod like this is if it does decide to attack at some point, or even appear close to you, *other* hostile mobs suddenly stop what they're doing and RUN. In the middle of a dark cave and see three creepers booking it for the exit? Heh heh, you're in danger
There was a technical reason for the cave noises!! There is a function in-game called "atmosphere" and when atmosphere is at a certain percentage, cave noises start playing. The mod must have played with the atmosphere to make cave noises play above ground
@@OneLastTimeTeam Actually that is a good horror idea tbh. The entity is a 'player' in his creative world, and when you join and start screwing with his world, he gets more and more mad. (Ex: Destroying structures that are 'made by him', killing too many of certain mob types, mining too much of a type of ore, griefing). Maybe there could even be a way to get on his good side, such as building nice structures for him, and giving him items (hand given or just put into chests in his buildings). Also, since you would be the horror mod, he would show up if you pressed tab, but you wouldn't, and since he is afraid of you off the start, he will run away and hide from you. If someone made a mod like that I would definitely try it out.
What we needed is an entity that acts like a player, however it's all messed up. We finally got something similar! It tries to create structures and copy players, but they are eerie and lack logic. It tries to approach the player, but in a very subtle way of stalking, almost never actually interacting directly with the player. It has an AI that makes it react to being seen, kind of like an enderman, but for escaping instead. Imagine it as SCP 173, but less aggressive. It's so shy that it makes you forget of its own presence, thus leaving you with feeling a false sense of security. In a way, Herobrine, but if it were actually scary.
This is the first video I’ve seen of this guy and it’s amazing, “yo chill tf out I’m just getting coal*calmly continues*” best thing ever compared to the “what was that..?”
This mod looks really awesome so far! It takes the vibe of Herobrine and From the Fog and expands it, which is something most Minecraft horror mods do not seem to understand the need for. The "big scary monster yeeting toward you at mach 7" has its place, but it gets old, and as others have said in the comments, those over-the-top scary monsters lack that existential fear because you know it clearly isn't from Minecraft; it's something you put there for entertainment. This entity, on the other hand, taps into the fear of every person in singleplayer: that someone or something else is with you in your world. The slow escalation of its behavior is brilliant because you anticipate and fear what the entity will do when you next encounter it. I'm looking forward to this mod's release.
If this keeps going we may have Good Horror in Minecraft before I turn 20 (we have several years until then)! The thing that would be really sick to see is code to swap your furnace with your crafting table (for example), but only to do it once every couple of days so that you're not quite sure if it happened of if you're just going crazy
This feels less like a “monster” and more like a “player”. It watches you from afar, and only interacted with you directly when you ran into it in an enclosed space. I think it’s scared, too.
More of just creepy then scary, but to be honest I’d take it over the big gore-y entities that are 7 times your size either teleporting away or running at you at Mach 3 when you look at them
The concept of a something slowly corrupting your world... the mobs... the terrain.... everything.... is a terrible feeling.... This might not be exactly relevent to the video but this was a mod idea I felt speaking.
This is the first horror mod I've seen that genuinely manages to capture the kind of quiet "you are not alone in this world" paranoia I associate with creepypastas like Herobrine. Nothing bum-rushing you while screaming, just...little things happening behind your back. Weird terrain alterations and structures that could only have been player-made with how specific and odd they are. Like you're sharing the world with a bored player dicking around in god mode, who may or may not have an interest in you, and may or may not be hostile.
FINALLY a mod that GETS IT!! I feel like all those mods just putting op monsters in the game misunderstand what makes good horror. I mean, sure, scary monsters chasing you around can be good, but it just doesn't fit this game. Like, think about what makes vanilla minecraft scary: the weird noises, odd structures (maybe naturally generated mountain that looks off, or buildings like the woodland mansion), the feeling of someone else being there. That's why Herobrine has been so popular for so many years, that's why the whole Strange House I Did Not Build mystery was so creepy. And this mod GETS that feeling and makes it stronger, not by putting ten monsters in the caves, but by creating more of that unease, that curiosity leading to your demise. Even if eventually this entity will get aggressive and start chasing you around, there was proper buildup to it. I'm really hyped to see it in full
22:22 I believe that was intended to one-tap you by surprise, but I am glad the protagonist(you)didn't die, because like anyone with enough sense should always keep their guard up. Good job. Also I was almost on my toes this whole way until there.
This mod creator is absolutely astounding in their ability to improve, both in effective horror and mod quality, the silence was absolutely abysmal, to a degree that it signified the very worst in the dweller mod trend, but this? In just one mod the developer has gone from the worst slop imaginable, to a genuinely innovative and terrifying concept and well coded product. What a remarkable person.
9:10 the reason theres cave noises are probably that the generation of the stone cubes are probably caves, you can see ores which makes it probably a cave
The sound of random footsteps the fall damage? Nah that would make me get chills and almost leave! Especially with the random structures! It’s like you always have to watch around you feel like your being stalked it’s soooooo creepy! Love the video!
This mod reminds me of the way that subnautica makes you feel. You have the feeling that something’s… watching, waiting. But you don’t know anything about it.
18:13 if it just dissappears if you get too close a bow might be a better idea. Also I imagine the structures get repetitive it'd probably be best if it were somewhat randomly generated. Like random shapes and blocks.
@@OneLastTimeTeam Yeah true, but it would probably be possible to at least "technically" hit him although he might just disappear anyways or the arrow might just go through or bounce off.

this one feels like one of those minecraft analog horror ARGs that've been popping up all over youtube lol, i like that it's more spooky and makes you nervous instead of being a big screaming unkillable mob
Honestly, for years I have heard extra footsteps, I am just so scared of anything that I don’t need mods. My cave noises are 0 and I usually play everything at 0 anyways.
i imagine herobrine appearing in my world...
Fr, i freak out even by my own footsteps
if everything's at 0, how do you know there's nothing following you from behind?
@@abogmus8904 when I had volume on.
I think that too! I'll be interviewing the creator so I'll be sure to ask him about this theory!
@@OneLastTimeTeam ah ok :D
12:40 I think it was just growling at the armor stand, since you hit it.
Yeah you're right, just didn't realize it in the moment
@@OneLastTimeTeam yeah cuz armour stand are considered entities like other mobs so i think thats why
If you’re caught within it, you’ll simply be trapped inside, never dying since its only made of an indestructible block.
creative
So you can only create a new world once trapped?
@@samuraijackson241 That is a flaw I guess.
reminds me of og herobrine/white eyes lore, where it's just a non-confrontational entity, building strange monuments in your world and generally just messing with your senses... until you get too curious
Yeah exactly the vibe he's going for!
Silence was ass man, mid cheap jumpscares goofy ai goofy model, the silent idea is cool, having to keep quiet but aside from that I pretty much never put it in packs due to lack of subtlety and generally just being anoying. This is a big improvement.
Yeah I think he had to use the silence as a stepping stone to get this mod where it's at but definitely an improvement nonetheless
Slow horror is good horror and the best horror is spicological horror

i love this type of mc horror, no entities just ambience and sounds to terrify you
I think a big struggle in minecraft mods is that since you have to install it theres already a lot of info you have about what's gonna happen, diminishing the element of surprise (which is arrhenium)
I agree, I like going into mods blind
Simply don't read :P
@@mdbgamer556but if you don't read, how do you know the mod is worth downloading?
22:25 you can only see the line below your cursor if the weapons is "recharging" (which it isn't in this portion of the video) or when you aim at someone/something (mob, player, etc.), while you're walking through the building you can see that the line below your cursor keeps reappearing, which means that there's at least 4 of some invisible entities in that building and you just went past them
And at the top it showed somthing with hearts I don’t know what but it said somthing with hearts
This video perfectly exemplifies how much sound is necessary for good horror. If you dont have good spund design, there's no scare factor to the game.
I really like the concept where the thing you’re curious about is curious of you.
You’ve just gave me an idea to make into a mod
Well lmk when you make it!
I'll be interviewing the creator of the mod and posting that soon, if you have any questions about the mod let me know so I can ask him!
I love horror mods like this. Nothing extremely jarring or trying to kill you. Simply you and the creature coexisting in the same world without a bunch of contact at first. Like its more of a natural entity.
Yeah I think this mod is a nice change of pace when all other dweller mods are super similar
"I feel like horror mods are too direct" Bros already behind u 😂0:48
I didn't even notice the achievement until someone else pointed it out lol
I like how friendly it was too. Just "giving you a heads up, hi!!"
I do think it's kinda funny that minecraft horror is "10 hours of ambiance randomly interupted by footsteps and spooky noises"
the way the graphics and clouds look make the floating structures 10x more cooler and scarier looking
There should be random creeper holes and trees that spawn with a block removed and a crafting table next to the. and really late into the mod, the entity would walk up to you and start shift crouching.
15:25 this cave noise here is attributed to your mood level... seems you were too deep and in the dark too long...
The mod itself makes you paranoid to the point you don't belive that you're alone in your singleplayer world and the music you used makes it so much creepier
19:10 they were imitating spectator mode
IT HAS OP OH CRAP-
I've never felt so threatened by post modern architecture
"Can you guys hear those footsteps?"
No, all I can hear is the music
Lol sorry I didn't realize it was loud during editing
Actual psychological horror mod and not just dweller #4,275? Awesome
we definitely need more psychological horror mods in minecraft, theres definitely loads of untapped potential with this kinda stuff
Finally a minecraft horror mod that cares about creating an eerie ambience putting around strange structures and weird stuff to make the player think that there is something wrong with the world instead of just bombing the world with dwellers and spamming on the player cheap png jumpscares that come from completely different games or creepypastas
It's refreshing to have something that is different from current popular mods
At 21:33, look around. All the sheep are pink, every single one. I counted 6. This mod really does some weird things with sheep.
those are pigs
@@realGapC… I might be stupid
It's okay lol I mistake pigs for sheep all the time
What would be a really good touch for a slow burn monster mod like this is if it does decide to attack at some point, or even appear close to you, *other* hostile mobs suddenly stop what they're doing and RUN. In the middle of a dark cave and see three creepers booking it for the exit? Heh heh, you're in danger
Almost like when an apex predator shows up in a forest and even crickets stop making noises, would be a nice touch
I've never watched you before and I audibly said "errr I want to see pictures of Spider Man!" as soon as I saw your character
Love how everyone connects with the omni man skin one way or another
😂😂😂 I thought of the train scene
ty for putting the shaders’ names in the description, been looking for some good ones
Of course :)
Funny how you can make people scare themselves more by using ambience rather than giving them something to comprehend
Having this mod activate after 10k blocks in a server would be so good
Imagine downloading this in a modpack secretly and labeling it as one of those library mods. That would be so funny.
There was a technical reason for the cave noises!! There is a function in-game called "atmosphere" and when atmosphere is at a certain percentage, cave noises start playing. The mod must have played with the atmosphere to make cave noises play above ground
Yeah probably what happened when I was on top of the structure
He is like: bro im playing creative, what do you want from me
I joined his world lol I'm actually the horror mod
The scariest thing in the video is probably his building skills
Hey man I tried my best :(

12:40 Dog is probably mad because you attacked the armor stand (which is an entity) locking on to it and trying to attack it
This mod looks really awesome so far!
I like how the acting not so subtle yet still enjoyable, a really cool way to advertise your mod
I recommend you to go watch Zeemyth's args like the roothouse, farlands and the newest bedrock . Zip
I love that the mod places structures in the sky, incentivising the construction of dirt pillars, only to spawn more dirt pillars around.
The placement of dirt pillars near the structure was a nice touch!
Thats very creative, i love the idea cause its different than just an entity watching you without any reasons
2:23 i don't know why but that cut scared me lol, i jumped a little
also your minecraft house looks cool as hell!!
Thank you:) I tried my best on the house lol
This is the first horror mod I've seen that genuinely manages to capture the kind of quiet "you are not alone in this world" paranoia I associate with creepypastas like Herobrine. Nothing bum-rushing you while screaming, just...little things happening behind your back. Weird terrain alterations and structures that could only have been player-made with how specific and odd they are. Like you're sharing the world with a bored player dicking around in god mode, who may or may not have an interest in you, and may or may not be hostile.
there was a blot on the screen and i kept wiping it thinking it was my end but it was the game i'm tearing up
FINALLY a mod that GETS IT!! I'm really hyped to see it in full
eerie minecraft experience > jumpscare simulator
22:22 I believe that was intended to one-tap you by surprise, but I am glad the protagonist(you)didn't die, because like anyone with enough sense should always keep their guard up. Good job. Also I was almost on my toes this whole way until there.
Yeah especially with how it gets dark in there! Glad I had my shield up haha
@@OneLastTimeTeam Yeah, imagine it in multiplayer experience-wait.
