Moon Snails at Purdy Sand Spit, Gig Harbor Wa

These participants from our Beach Walk program asked to be UA-cam famous so we had to post this. We saw many large moon snails, and their egg collars during the -3foot tide.

Very surprising that there are habitats like this that haven't been fully exploited by shellfish poachers. Here in California the Lewis' moon snails are locally rare and certainly no where near that large a size anymore!
