I will forever love the idea of the bureau of ships and services just being the most untouchable organization in the galaxy to the point they've ended several major conflicts throughout history just by getting angry.
3:40 This art is undoubtly one of the most badass and underrated in all Star Wars. Despite being the only illustration of the Pius Dea Crusades we ever got, this image alone tells with no words an amazing story that deserves to be explored. Those cathedral ships, by the way 😱
One thing I love from old content is that they clearly hype themselves with trends from the era and tried to find a discreet spot within canon to make it happen.
This is the BEST "series" on youtube, its not multi million dolar but its still better, narration in universe by a smugler is a work of beautyfull art that shouls be known not just by subscribers and star wars fans who stumble upon it, its something else, simple acting and true passion makes this a series every true star wars fan should watch
I LOVE THIS SERIES MATE! IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW I WANTED, BUT WHEN FOUND, HIT EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!! YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR 🤘🏻MY FRIEND! CHEERS!
I like these videos, it's a nice, new, and immersive way to learn about star wars. Excellent way to present info, keep it up. It really feels like you're in a cantina somewhere, listening across the table to an experienced smuggler with some stories to tell.
It's a shame the Pius Dea Crusades (like Xendor's Wars) were never fully explored, being relegated to mere lore information added in source books like "The Essential Guide to Warfare" or "Cult Encounters". After all, we are talking about a literal n*zi organization that controlled the galaxy for a thousand years, causing unspeakable horrors so abominable even the Jedi had to abandon their secluded lifestyle and form alliances with the Hutts. Something like that totally deserves its own multimedia project
@@TetsuShima only to take it's time, it's in no need to rush and also it be cool to see a unique design of the cathedral ships to be somewhat close to WH40K, but still SW enough to be distinguishable.
When Darth Nihilus was not at the bridge of the Ravager, what was he doing in his free time aside from training his blind but obviously sexy apprentice? Playing an organ while remembering his time as one of the Jedi who followed Revan into the war against the Mandalorians?
The 40k reff cartoon made me chuckle Also, like Star Wars is full of “bad guys”, nasty criminal under lords, terrifying creatures and legit goosebump raising deep lore cuts like the mother…but the BOSS? I dunno. That’s some really cold shit when let it sink in, make comstar from Battletech even blush with that move, like ya, did it for good reason but just imagine being on receiving end of losing absolute control of your vessel, in the inky black cos some tech nerd rigged the thing. So easily all that tech, turbo lasers and zeal just poof, worthless without a battle fought.
Well there is another ship that can give the ravager a run for its money… The eclipse especially right before shadow hand went around blowing shit up and was classified as a ghost ship with its jet black hull and incredible size being especially terrifying
The thought of empty, dead ships floating through real space is terrifying. You could pass by one and never know because you are traveling through hyperspace.
It would be cool if in one of the next episodes you were being pinned down by the pikes for making a bad trade with them. You could tell a pretty great story about the pikes while also switching it up a little bit.
Beware the poor sods never seen again because they, commanding overpowered and mostly experimental military vessels, went serendipitously missing on certain sector dry runs, with a select number dubiously witnessed if not rumored to be abducted by strange ships with unholy abilities never once seen in any Star Wars universe. Then again, said "poor sods" may have actually gotten covertly recruited for more grandiose Multiversal service alongside their overpowered military vessels. Who knows, perhaps a highly advanced Victory-class Star Destroyer with missile spamming capabilities (and possibly named after a certain Solo Jedi kid martyr of the Yuuzhan Vong Wars) may be flying cloaked yet proudly above the orbit of one Gravesfield, Connecticut, alongside a larger Lancer frigate doing the same for Los Angeles, California and some tourist trap/anomalous town in Oregon.
It's said these strange ships are organic to a degree, and just like the undead ships these living ones can be very deadly if you're not careful and maybe still even then. Let's just hope that the ship doesn't feel the need to open fire at these location. But if they were foolish enough to do so, the teams stationed their would bring those ships down. Tthe Los Angeles division had great sucess during the event that became know as Frogvasion.
@@zexalbrony4799 Eh, more like the usual conventional warships like FreeSpace's Orion-class, Universal Century Gundam's Ra Cailum-class, the Macross-classes, Halo's Paris-class, Mass Effect's Normandies, and StarCraft's Behemoth-class. Organo-types are just too... crude if not way too unusual or eldritch. They can just do "deus ex machinas" by way of "shooting stars" (a.k.a. minor laser bombardment plus orbital garbage drops) hitting known threats. Heck, even controlled lightning strikes, tornadoes, and hailstorms also work... and then there's the occasionally deliberate missile spamming done out of spite on what may be incompetence if not lackluster efforts on the local, mostly unknowing militaries. (And that is just excluding starfighter support.)
I love the stuff, but I can't really watch the video due to the wavy camera. Some days stuff like that gets me motion sick pretty badly. At least I can still listen, but I can't help but feel I'm missing stuff due to your generally excellent video editing.
How can you have a video on ghost ships and not include the fleet of them a la the dark force. Sure they were eventually found but they definitely contend as a ghost ship fleet.
You should have some other people read the script, or part of it. At least for this series. Make it feel like a story from a grizzled traveler or an old timer.

Even Palpatine doesn't dare mess with them.

Adeptus ridiculous episode leak confirmed lol

I'd add several more entries to this list, the Teljkon Vagabond, the Katana Fleet, the SSD Intimidator, the ISD Vector just to name a few...
Not surprised there's basically a "Bermuda Triangle" in this franchis. Star Wars seems to have a little, or alot, of just about EVERYTHING.
One thing I love from old content is that they clearly hype themselves with trends from the era and tried to find a discreet spot within canon to make it happen.
We need a movie with some of these cathedral ships and some scary organ music.
FOR THE GOD EMPEROR OF MANKIND!!
Damn I was hoping the Cheese Empire would make another appearance!
CHEESE!!! HAHAHAHA
that's a reference for my elder scrolls fan friends

The Dreighton Triangle... that takes me waaaaay back.
To when I was 8 and Rebel Assault II had dropped tgat december and i got it for Christmas.
The Event Horizon is the most terrifying ghost ship.
We’re leaving
I love these "in-universe pov" type videos.
I love the immersion. Please do more!
Playing video games at 2am after a blue collar week of work and to listen to this video is sublime!
This segment is so dope! I wish they were longer and more than once a week. Lol thanks so much for making these videos!

Or at least a series of books, as for a multimedia project, that's going to have to take it very slow.

Yeah. The Pius Dea Era definitely deserves a multimedia project, not the too safe High Republic and their punk pirates

Oh how Darth Sion thinks he knows suffering and pain, Malice says thou doth protest and hold your malignant body together to much.
I mean he knew it well enough to have to be convinced to die.
I've been loving these and am looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.
Great stuff man!
Awesome installment! Many thanks.

I have fond memories of when I boarded the Ravager and took out Darth Nihilus from KOTOR 2. That was fun.
These are awesome!! Smugglers Tales for the win!!
My favourite series
Great series 👍
I'm loving this series
My favorite series so far
Never knew I wanted to see this my whole life, until I saw it.
Man, I love this series, keep up the fantastic work guys and may the Republic's customs officers steer clear of your spaceship!
Getting some Alien vibes
Loving all of these!
Return of the best series 😍

WHY am I suddenly flashing back on the old song Dawson's Christian??
