Yeah basically like that it kinda reminded me of the venom parasite with how it's an ooze and how it shapes itself into stuff so basically half venom half flood 😢
Almost exactly like The Flood in some ways, but it's goop instead of fungus and is sneakier rather than aggressively and openly invading everyone and everything.
I knew The Unknown Regions had some scary stuff. Hyperspace distortions and anomolies, distant worlds and hostile species but damn! I had no idea that what is basically the Star Wars equivilent of The Gravemind or The Brethren Moons was out there!
I think It fits so well to be the physical manifestation of the Dark Side in a corrupted subject. And If It talks is quite literally like a Gravemind or a Marker lol. Imagine a Faction of Dark Lords trained to supress and destroy the Mgnaal Mgnaal. From a perspective of power and strength in the Force. So much potential, I Hope they add to the Unknown Regions 🗿🛸🛸🌌👽🪐🦹🏻🌑
Entities like this one sure have become far more interesting and dangerous with the Supernatural Encounters novella. In short, the Bedlam Spirits and even the Celestials have a lot to answer for in the whole span of the Star Wars Multiverse.
That Mnggal-Mnggal possessed Starweird in that fan art is awesome the Mnggal-Mnggal seems similar to the alien Symbiote from Marvel and Starweirds seem similar to the dementors from Harry Potter
I've said this before, the lore of the Mnggal-Mnggal always sounds like a Doctor Who villain to me, that would make a great Crossover I reckon, I could see a 10th/14th Doctor tackling this creature and coming out on top, albeit only just
@@MackeyDeez I was thinking the Mnggal-Mnggal would be comparable to the Vashta Nerada from Series 4 with David Tennant, but sure, I don't know a lot about Dr Strange, and because I can't be arsed to debate my case, so I'll just concede here and say, you win, you're more correct than I am 😜🤣
Oh wow Someone is finally covering it!!! I'm using this creature as the enemy in my next star wars tabletop game, and this video will be a great reference! A couple of rebel and a pair of imperial agents will be teaming up to find out what's causing the disappearance of ships in an area near the unknown regions, culminating in them having to attempt to find ancient celestial tech to re-seal a breach in the hyperspace barriers. Edit: Clarified it was a tabletop game. I am NOT a video game developer lol.
Dead Space / Halo vibes amazingly fits so well in the Unknown Regions. Like there is a whole different galaxy Ancient, Uncharted, whispering secrets to the future 🗣️👽🌌🖤🌑☄️
I think this may have just been written in as an answer to what SW has for horror stories and bogeymen. The major difference being that it's actually present and could end up used in story at some point. That thing could definitely make for a nasty antagonist in a show if they did it well.
If the Imperials used Mnggal-Mnggal as the reason why the Death Star or even the Galactic Empire as a whole is justified, will those who are pro-Republic sided with them if they saw such an entity for real?
Id love to see you cover the new expanded edition of star wars: supernatural encounters by joe bongiorno. Its delves deep into the weird stuff of star wars and I love it
While Mnggal-Mnggal's in-universe origins may be extra-dimensional and behind-the-scenes inspired by Lovecraft, I find it interesting that the name translates from Javanese as 'again and again'.
I made a campaign that had this THING as a side enemy. Described everything exactly like it was, then sprung it on the characters. Surprisingly all of them made, but the players were terrified. Only did it because they wanted a more "horror-like" experience. Needless to say I was never asked to such a thing again. Now many years later I'm about to start a Starfinder Campaign and I just may introduce something like Mnggal-Mnggal again, as a random encounter or small quest line
You mind bringing back "a clones POV storys?" Those were soo good! I really like this series and it reminded me of the good old days, so I rewatched the POV Storys of Hyporri, mygeeto and so on (also the umbara one) They're amazing and u should definetly do something like this again!

@@davidlozano4507 I have no idea if the Rakata faced it. I just know, as the video said, that it seems that the Celestials may have created the Unknown Regions to cut it off from the rest of the Galaxy. Celestials date back more than 100,000 years BBY. Possibly as much as a million years.
There have been many dangers and world enders in the Star Wars universe, some are driven by insticts they can't control like Darth Nillist, but others like Nal Nal are driven by their own free will dreely feeding the fire that is their worst impulses.

I’m like 95% sure the game OP is talking about is a tabletop RPG… and Disney won’t bat an eyelid unless OP tries to monetize it.

great day when our favorite smuggler gives us a new story
My question is; if it spreads like this, why isn’t its existence and threat common knowledge to the denizens of the galaxy, regardless of the era?
Hyperspace barriers
Basically the Flood.
And ive heard that those anomalys were created by the selestiols to help defend the galaxy from the infinite empire of rakatan 🤔
How would a smuggler, even a galaxy renowned one know anything about the celestials or their relations, when the Jedi themselves didn't have a clue?
He probably asked Lando
Okay, so it's the Flood. Since there are no Halo Rings, I guess the Death Star will have to do.
these are some of your best video, keep them coming!
These Tale's are getting better and better. It is such hilarious and great content and the comment section is glorious 😂
