Your digital story was really unique and I appreciated that you focused on the environmental aspects of Native American traditions and viewpoints. I loved your inclusion of news clips and interviews with politicians, and your narration really followed well with what we were seeing on screen. Also, thumbs up for showing clips of Avatar - I wondered if anyone would draw parallels in their digital story with that film! However, I think maybe it would have helped just a bit of you had pointed out some of the similarities between Avatar and it’s lessons, and why it parallels traditional Native American views on the environment (it may not be apparent to anyone who hasn’t seen the film before - they may wonder why you are showing them aliens instead of actual Native Americans). Otherwise, I very much liked the overall message you are making with this story - really nice job!

You can really tell you have some awesome editing skills! The whole video really flowed very nicely and I was engaged from the beginning until the end. I like how you started and ended with a clip that views the entire world. In the beginning it really sets the mood for what you will be talking about in the video and at the end it really makes you think deeply about all that you had said. I also think that the static (before the news clips, etc. were shown) worked well to portray the dramatic differences in the ways the Western world and many Native American people treat the Earth. The only thing I would suggest is that you could perhaps give a short explanation as to why you included the “Avatar” clips near the beginning. Although I know that those characters are supposed to embody, whether intentionally or not, the Native American, I only know that because I saw the movie, not because it was said in the video. Overall, great job!
