That’s a Rushby trigger isn’t it? Guy out of South Africa making fantastic CZ parts
Congratulations on 1M subs 🎉
Congrats 1 million subs that’s as big as Jacksonville. The first time I did that I was putting what stadium you would fill. Holy cow. Congrats. I’m so proud for you. Congrats you have gone through so much to make this journey happen
Please note the free optics plate for the PDP is not true for Europe for some reason. You need to buy it, priced around EUR 50. I was a bit disappointed. It is meant to be optics ready and for the high price you would expect it to come with everything you need. The US market got a better deal.
I bought the Smith and Wesson shield three months before the double capacity version came out. That really irritated me.
1. HK VP9, 2. CZ P07 tacticool, 3. RI STK100, 4. SW M2.0 metal, 5. PSA Custom AR15, 6. Angstadt Arms MDP9, 7. DDM4v7 AR15.
Thank u
The CZ P07 is a cool gun…. The Frankenstein looking gun he has is AWFUL! I’d be embarrassed to have it in my hand
A+ tier comment
👍🏼
@@aaronfox5559my problem with the p07/p09 is their triggers stack terribly. Even canjunized they still do. Just a seriously overrated gun.
This video is an example of why I’ve been subscribed for so long. 100% honest opinion whether you got the product for free or not. I mean how many people on YT are openly expressing the issues they’ve had with DD of all brands?
Every manufacturer has issues, thats why customer service exists. When you mass produce, your gonna have issues pop up unless you inspect every aspect of every single firearm
@ I understand this, but it’s like he said, for $2300 it BETTER feel like it’s worth that much in every aspect. Looking at that gun from his POV, I personally see that particular DD gun as “paying for the name”
100%
Taking a duty pistol and making it a gamer gun is usually an exercise in disappointment. Just buy a gamer gun if that’s what you’re after.
Its only a duty pistol if ur not a civilian. If ur a civilian then theyre all “gamer pistols”
@@10onereh. Ive seen some people hunt with pistols.
WOW...1 MILLION SUBS?!?! CONGRATULATIONS. I LOVE THIS FOR YOU!!!
Missing you
@@leonardsmith8516it feels good to be missed. I hope you're well. Thank you!
Same @32icon wishing you would come back.
Heyyyy! How the heck have you been?
32!! We miss you girl!
You haven’t posted in a while glad to see your ok buddy. Hope all is well
Ugh, that hurt! My VP9 is still my favorite of all my handguns. It feels the best to shoot, stays on target the best, and I love everything about it.
I was so sad to see the P07 on this list, it was the very first gun I had that was hammer fired. I got it in a trade and knew nothing about it, I went down the rabbit hole of finding other Cz guns, the sig P226, the P229 legion, and other double action single action guns.
DA/SA hammer fired rabbit hole is a honey hole, nothing bad about any of the guns you listed.
I have really enjoyed my VP9 I hate to hear that you haven’t had as great of an experience. One thing that made mine better was buying the compensator that attaches via the rail on the lower. No threaded barrel needed and gives it the John Wick look.
Congrats on the sub milestone!
Definitely surprised to see the VP9 on the list. I guess that speaks to how we all have differing tastes. I do love my Walther PDP, but prefer my VP9 just a smidgeon more. My G45 is a great alternative, but I still prefer the VP9. It doesn't run away from the competition, but it's still a clearer choice for me.
Love your content though. Keep it coming.
Love my P07. Talon grips and night fision sights and done.
It uses the same mags as the 10C and I already had a TON of them.
That's what I want a po7.wather ppq sc,THE first APX cheap sleeper pics.
Hell this disabled Marine veteran would love to buy one of your regret guns.
Spends hundreds of dollars on slide cuts. Doesn’t swap a $20 recoil assembly. lol. Lmao even.
Can't believe you mentioned PSA as a sub $1,000 option and didn't mention IWI - ZION.
I've heard great things about the IWI Zion, but I didn't mention it because I haven't tested it yet
Also, I think he was comparing it to sub 500ish guns.. when mentioning the Lonewolf ltd19
3:44 maybe I'm missing something, but putting cuts in your slide only increases muzzle flip because you're cutting weight out of the front of the handgun right??
You have less mass moving backwards, but I'd assume the slide is moving faster too so idk..
Not necessarily. Depends on how the slide is sprung.
Thanks for all your information & work you do
I was surprised to see the VP9 on this list. I own a VP9 SK with a Holosun SCS. It is one of my favorite guns to fire hands down. It is super smooth and accurate. Did the cut slide come stock? I recommend a slide with no cuts as you need the weight to mitigate the recoil.
Totally understand man. Like I mentioned in the video there seems to be a lot of differing opinions and experiences with the VP9.
I love my vp 9. Great gun that works and shoots well. 👍
Same i have the vp9 sk and it's super reliable smooth shooting a all around great pistol i would trust my life with
The holosun scs sucks. I didn't think I'd hate not being able to adjust the brightness so much
Guy butchered a VP9 and puts a Amazon optic in it and complains 😂
Thank you for the video. It was very informative. I am an old guy and with the exception of a SS MR920 and a few old inherited revolvers, all of my handguns are Glock and Sig 9mms. I have no need for multiple calibers, since all of my shooting is range or training. I watch your videos to learn about other guns and I am astounded at how many manufacturers there are today. As for ARs I build all of my own DI guns. It reduces the number of spare parts because I am not buying and replacing, I start with the parts I want in the gun. My piston ARs are all Sigs. I can't build a piston gun. Again, thank you for the video.
That is what I recommend. There is no reason to buy a gun off the shelf that you know you will upgrade. You will just end up with a box of parts in a box that you will never use.
Calling the VP9 snappy and recommending the PDP is a hot take. I've never heard anyone regarding the VP9 as snappy before, but the PDPs greatest peer review is how many people consider it to be snappy. Gun reviews often regard the PDPs only flaw is it's snap and even well regarded gun enthusiasts like HOP say that the PDPs second biggest trait behind its phenomenal trigger it's its snappiness. It's definitely an interesting take, but I don't think many are gonna share the same opinion. Especially considering your experience with a comped pro model doesn't reflect the experience of the standard PDP, which is what you ought to compare a standard VP9 to.
I wouldn't say the PDP Pro is snappy, but it does have a lot of muzzle rise so you have to get use to it regarding follow up shots. I own one and it's taken some time to get use to.
Completely agree. I find the PDP snappy even after modifications and the VP9 to be very mild
@@jjcrazylegs7081 muzzle rise is generally what people consider snappy. If there's a lot of muzzle lift before it returns back to zero, many consider that the snappy trait.
Do you have a considerable amount of time on both platforms?
No mention of DPM recoil spring?
M&P 2.0 has the best recoil impulse. Even when moving up to 40sw or 357sig. Dead chamberings? Tell me that in 20 years.
Haha the VP9 is my absolute favorite hand gun!
Your reviews on the Shadow Systems & Geissele helped me made up my mind. Now they're my first 2 guns and loved them. Thank you and congrats on 1 mill sub.
congrats on 1m! hopefully no more issues with YT
Sadly I bought a DD M4A1 FSP upper and out of the box the upper was chewing up charging handles, weird right, never heard of that. Sent it back and they fixed it. I do love the upper though.
Just some feedback adding chapters to your videos would be a great feature. Keep releasing this awesome quality content!
Dude 1M, hell yeah brother congrats you deserve it.
Appreciate it man!
Regarding your experience w/ the VP, I feel the same about my Staccato CS. Feels PHENOMENAL in the hand and when dry-firing. Best gun I've ever held. But it just doesn't "gel" with me when firing it. Feels too snappy. Definitely wish I hadn't bought it and held out for the Staccato C (which I love).
Congrats on 1 million bro I’m so happy for you 🎉🎉🎉
Dude, I am literally living in regret land right now. I am fairly new to the game. Got my HQL and CCW in January 2023. My first pistol was a Sig P320 XCarry. Not just a stock, but i went for the upgraded AXG. Then i threw another $6-700 at it.... I do love it, it shoots great, it looks beautiful, i just keep having issues with my optic coming loose every time i take it shooting. Then i think about how much i have tied up into it and think about all the other pistols I could have gotten for the $1500-1700 i have in it. But thats the name of the game right.
I think in the beginning while you're learning about guns you overspend and then you realize half of the gadgets and doodads, you don't need.
After building two rifles I'm looking at building a field rifle and waiting for a Black Friday sales 4th of July sales and stuff like that. It makes a big difference when building out your gear. Why buy a $300 trigger when I can wait for a sale and get it for $150?
@kavonstuart9803 that's exactly how I do it now. I don't buy anything unless I have a discount code or it's on some kind of sale. I love that the Instagram gun community is chill and tight knit. Anytime I wanna get something I ask the community and go on UA-cam and I can always find someone to point me in the right direction for better deals or give me a heads up to wait a few weeks for one. My most recent purchase was a Shield Plus 9mm that I got for a great price and then because of the community I found out there was a $50 rebate I could get. So I ended up getting it for $350 after tax and everything. I couldn't be happier with that purchase.
Why buy a Mercedes instead of a Hyundai? Same reason I bought my Daniel Defense. No regrets, no issues. Love the channel brother keep 'em coming
We hit a milli!!!!!
Have a Shadow2 and it doesn’t get much better. Awesome at the range. Makes average shooters good and good shooters will appreciate the extras. It will spoil you. I’ve never experienced a better trigger. The flattest shooter I’ve ever encountered. It’s not perfect but it’s darn close.
I have a Shadow 2 Orange. It's an absolute lazer beam.
I'm an average pistol shooter. I spend more time with my rifles. My Shadow 2 makes me look way better than I am. Sadly CZ discontinued the SAO version.
The QR code for people watching in their TV was absolutely brilliant.
If I wasn't already subbed I would have right then and there.
You did well to explain your needs in a gun! The only thing you left out was your purpose for the guns. I use the handgun for protection from wildlife. I am not a novice shooter, and I no longer need sights. So I take the sights off and practice with the point and shoot method. This means, my guns have less friction on the gun when I draw the gun. The major issue with high stress events with wildlife is the need for massive damage while being able to get back on target as quickly as possible. The last thing you want to deal with is an injured critter. It is also good to test yourself in a high stress environment so that you can see how your body reacts to the stress. Years ago, I was in one of those life and death events, and found that my finger couldn't reach the trigger. I had to work my hand around to be able to get on the trigger. I am saying this, because no matter how big your ego may be, you will find yourself up sh!t creek if you don't practice.
The guns I regret are Remington and Ruger. Both of these make guns that remind me of buying a Ford, where some things weren't designed for humans. The Remington 700 safety isn't designed for rapid fire in a high stress environment, it is too easy to set the safety on while loading the gun. Ruger doesn't want you to modify your gun. Ruger triggers are garbage. The 10/22 is a spray and pray run, with no accuracy past 50 feet. The Super Redhawk grips needed help, but there are no options. The Ruger M77 had issues with the trigger and scope rings.
The best rifles for competition in F-Class or benchrest are Winchester M70 and Savage 110. The 3 position safety on the M70 is hard to beat when your trigger adjustments break loose during an event. The Savage is great for changing barrels, calibers, and optics, as long as you can find parts for your action.
The Walther P99 is my favorite handgun! The double action with decock, means I can have one in the pipe and not worry about Glock issues. I use this gun for hunting and self-defense. The 1" exit wound on deer is hard to beat from a 40 S&W.
If you don't know, a Ford is a bottom end car with a very expensive maintenance cost! When the military uses a product, they are also looking at the maintenance of the product. This is why you see Chevy in the military. The same issue goes with guns.
I got a 6mmARC, and couldn't find ammo. It was as if the only purpose of this caliber is match. Do we have to wait 20 years for people to see the benefit of a low recoil cartridge?
Thanks for review man I’m so glad you said the Geiselle super duty because I was already gonna buy that one soon 😉
Bud tune the vp9 recoil spring and rod according to your loads ie 1) DPm recoil kit including rod and multiple spring combos or 2) progressive recoil spring 12-14-16-18lbs with heavier tungsten guide rod ... My polymer XDM elite 5.25 loves 139gr with my dpm recoil kit and my super heavy CZ TS2 loves 124gr again with my dpm recoil kit ... I double tap 2A from 10 yards with 0.15 splits and the bullets are 2'' between them ... But I always stick to the ammo ( make and grain ) that I tuned my guns with ...
I wondered about that myself. The vp9 was designed around 124g
Though i cant imagine running 115 making it more snappy. Shoot when they were first released many ppl had trouble with them not cycling 115 until the recoil spring was broken in a bit.
Which XDM elite do you have? I run the 10mm
@RonnieBingham I think I wrote it above . Anyway ..I used to run the long barrel 5.25 xdm elite in 9mm but decided to buy a proper metal gun for competition to replace the xdm ... And for my '' other '' duties I run a CZ SP01 with a holosun eps , 27 round mags , magwell and a proper trigger job
Ain’t no way you think the PDP shoots better than a VP9. The PDP has the worst recoil impulse of any 9mm handgun I’ve handled.
@1:30 that's the look of "Am I dead?" After owning a gen one P320, you start to doubt others as well lol
Glad to see the CMMG Dissent make the list of "would rather have." I have the 9mm version with the Pmags. It is an absolute beast. Perfectly reliable, accurate, and so freaking smooth to shoot.
Hey dane cook’s brother , good to see you are still making videos
Love the 1911 syndicate shout out keep making good contact
@TacticalToolbox - a lot of folks are against carrying of the Shadow 2 Compact because it lacks a firing pin block (which the P01 includes of course). Do you have an opinion on that matter?
Wouldn't reducing the weight of the slide make it more prone to jumping? Less mass harder to control?
I agree with the list with the exception of the VP9. Great out of the box. We must have difference perception of recoil must be different.
It's nice overtime seeing you develop better taste in manufacturers and parts. Hope you are doing well sir.
Some gun companies charge big bucks for the name, especially ARs.
That was one of the best videos of yours I have ever watched. Thank you so much
The M&P 2.0 metal spec series with the comp is probably the best striker fired pistol out. With the amazing performance center trigger and immediate return on poa 🔥🔥🔥🔥 i have several people to back me up
lol wooow several people back this guy up....he knows his stuff
Its not a good pistol? @@acatinatux9601
The M&P 2.0 will never get the love it deserves.
In regards to the VP9, or any pistol, if you lighten the slide but don't provide porting or compensation, the gun will get SNAPPIER. Fun fact.
Right? I could see adding a dot and thinking it might get better.
Even then between the milled slide and the extra material taken from the bottom of the slide. It prob weighs less even after adding a dot.
This!!! When he was saying that I was thinking huh? That’s gonna make it more snappy what are you doing! It’s not snappy tho. I have 4 VP9 and the SK variant, it’s one of the sexiest ergonomic handguns made. And they’re cheap at Glock prices
I was under the impression that the Omega trigger system was in the P01 and P07, interesting the difference in the feel between the two.
P-07 is not Omega exactly, but it's very close. Non-Omega P-01's supposedly have a better trigger. I will say that my SP-01 Tactical with the OG CZ75 style trigger is a bit better than My P-07.
These are my favorite types of videos
That shadow is freaking amazing
I’m older, but I still prefer metal framed pistols, including my carry pistols.
Love your content! Thank you for keeping it coming!
Lightening the slide, especially in the front, will make it more snappy, not less. I don’t seem to have this problem with my VP9s. However I don’t like the placement of the slide catch bc it’s right where my thumb wants to go
The more a pistol swallows your shooting hand, especially if you have larger hands, the less your support hand can support during firing. Hence, probably, why the VP9 felt great during dry fire but not during actual shooting.
Your content is so packed with quality, it literally brightens my day when you release new stuff. Keep it up dude...
Signed,
Long-time subscriber
P.S. Cover more 10mm and 300BLK (and I guess, by nature, the new 8.6BLK)
P.S.S. Love your coverage of pistol caliber carbines like the CMMG stuff and the like...
I'm not sure if I'm late or not but I'm either case, congratulations on hitting 1 million subs sir! Here's to 1 million more!
Congrats on 1 Million dude!
I have the sct 19 frame with the dagger slide and upgraded trigger. Love this gun. I now have several sct's in my Armory. The factory trigger in the sct is better than the glock or the psa, but I would still upgrade the trigger. I just built an sct 17 and it feels phenomenal! The whole build with optic ran 475 when you watch for sales.
that lonestar glock clone looks to be almost positively a direct clone of a 3d printed glock frame available out there lol. i guess depending when it came out would say if it came out first or vise versa... but im 99% sure that frame was entered into a competition in like 2020
I just read from another’s comment, Congratulations on your 1 Million subs ! 👏 🎉
25:14 the walther has cheap plastic sights that don't co witness, that was your choice. Now the metal m &p doesn't have co witness sights and thats bad make up your mind.
Walter uses Glock sights. Does the M&P?
@ravenwing199 you're missing my point,
I love my VP9, bought it back in 2015 and was one of my favorites ergo wise. But I completely agree... I did a lobos trigger, stippled it myself, and HKparts trigger springs initially, it wasnt until i got slide work done that included lightening cuts and ports cut in the barrel/slide (plus RMR cut) did It finally tame the snappiness
The PDP was definitely one that I regret buying and gladly sold. Great trigger, but crappy fit/finish, ergos and overall shooting experience was very disappointing.
For the P-07, I highly recommend you give the M-CARBO spring kit vs the Cajun stuff. I know Cajun is the go-to CZ upgrade company, but I've been much more happy with the M-CARBO stuff.
For the P-07, I highly recommend you give the M-CARBO spring kit a try vs the Cajun stuff. I know Cajun is the go-to CZ upgrade company, but I've been much more happy with the M-CARBO stuff.
Excellent information sir, quality points. Thanks!!
Congratulations on hitting the 1 million subscriber, been watching you for years and I know a million subs has been a goal of yours for a while. Well deserved BigDog
Honestly ive owned the vp9 for half a decade as an EDC. I love everything about the gun besides the recoil impulse. Its a bit snappy but once you get the hang of it its really nice. But, then i shot my parents bull armory with a super low bore axis. I immediatley starting having dreams about a flatter shooting gun. Solid take on all the firearms 🫡
I'm glad that I didn't get teh STK100. At one point I started looking a lot at some of the budget guns and considered it. Mainly because it was metal.
Icarus grips are ridiculously well designed
Love my Sabre, my first ar for about 1200. Runs great and no issues 100 percent recommend it.
I agree on the vp9. Loved it initially until I started shooting it side by side with nicer guns.
I cried a little when i got a CZ Shadow 2, but oh man i don't regret it !
I have the Shadow 2 Orange. Didn't cry. REALLY didn't cry after I shot it.
Love this video, thanks brother.
Quick question, what do you think about the Diamondback AR15?
Hell yeah hit the 1m finally! Totally deserved love your channel been watching for 3 or 4 years now. Cant wait for the 1m sub giveaway
I have to agree with you regarding the dd rifle. I have owned 3 of them and have had multiple issues with them. I have a couple PSA sabre rifles that were less and I have had less issues with them.
That new Kimber 2K11 look promising
Hey thanks for the reveiws with all the great details. Helped me a lot when trying to decide on an AR 15. Picked up a Geissele Super Duty.
When you said P07 I immediately thought “don’t let Chris hear about this” 😂
PCCs. AR pistols and rifles are more accurate, less recoil, often cheaper, the rounds are better in every conceivable way and are only marginally more expensive. I cannot see the point of a PCC.
Seriously I laughed when you said the walther was a great alternative! My first pistol was the vp9 that I absolutely loved and honestly still do love. My very next purchase was the walther pdp pro sd compact. Since purchasing the walther I haven’t shot the vp9 nearly as much. Both have great ergonomics and I run the same optic on both. The walther to me is just a tad bit more comfortable and user friendly in my opinion
I regret getting a Kriss Vector CRB in 9mm back in 2021 because I way over paid for it, it is heavy, bulky, and in simi you dont really get any advantage from the special recoil system though you can sort of notice it. Looking back I would have much rather gotten a Ruger PC9 or even just an AR 9mm. That said the Vector is one of the guns on my very short list of must own one of these some day.
For the CZ P07, Outlaw has Cajun Gun works springs, roller,.disconnector, etc. After that it's amazing.
Wow. I was shocked about the vp9. I’m a woman with kinda weak wrists and love my vp9 and got it brand new for $500.00.
Can't wait for the review of the nocturne. I bought one and can't find a good holster for it.
The VP9 is definitely not made to be worked on lol 😂 love your channel man always on point. Subscribed
I've put saber upgraded lowers on a few guns. I like them.
I litterally have a parts gun built with anderson upper and lower. Cheap TiN bcg, $20 ohunt handguard, rosco barrel lol. Where its so cheap im rough as hell with it. It shoots and runs flawlessly about 5k rounds in. Its wild that 2k guns have problems
I did something similar.... built a bargain bin 223 wylde. Anderson upper, palmetto blem lower, inexpensive bcg and handguard, parts kits etc. 9 different manufacturers. O problems with parts compatibility, and 0 failures through the first 2 k rounds. It's amazing how good the parts market is right now! It's almost crazy that a rifle costing double or triple this would have any issue whatsoever......
Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only firearm enthusiast who actually had to buy Glock mags specifically for my AR9s, since I didn't already have the requsite pile of em just laying around?
Best gun channel imo
I’m surprised that last pick isn’t more controversial. But I’ve been saying that awhile. Never personally owned one. But the amount of fan service around them is reminiscent of the old Colt Fudds. I’m sure they make overall good stuff. I do like their rails and barrels. But the price point point just feels… wrong. Even their complete lowers are extremely overpriced for no reason.
Microbest BCGs are awesome!
Thanks, good info
Great list!
Good vids. This is why I like watching your channel. Straight and to the point. But what does RVCA stand for? I see it all over the place, but I always find different meanings.
If you only buy one rifle and can afford it BCM really is the way to go. Best bang for buck quality rifle.
Congratulations on reaching one million!
Congrats on hitting 1M!!! Not sure when it actually happened so apologies if it’s been more than a minute
Glad you're back. Been waiting awhile for new vid.
