I know in Shenandoah National Forest, prior to its "purchase"/creation, there were many rural folks living in the mountains in their homes. You can still see the remains of some of those homes and associate structures in the forest. I wonder if Mark Twain also had a similar background, and at some point there were people living on those lands? Also, didn't indigenous tribes in some parts of the Americas build their homes on top of stone, and when the homes eventually deteriorate, only stone is left?

@@AnnaMendozaKCMO Hi , I’ve heard of the mimicking several times over the years. Not only as it pertains to BF. I’ve experienced what my friends and I finally assumed was demonic after having heard someone say our name thinking it was one of us , but turns out they were either sleeping or not around. Not to jump on the “demonic” bandwagon , but my understanding is that if you hear your name from a familiar voice but that person isn’t there ..? It’s likely from something not good. Also, BF are known to be uncanny mimickers , able to mimic a Jake-break from a logging truck. A chainsaw , etc. . Sounds crazy , I know , but I’ve heard people make these claims too many times to dismiss it .
For some reason the pile of rocks looks like it’s been there for a long time. Looks like something you wouldn’t risk desecrating. I’ve heard an account or two in which someone has claimed to have killed a BF (and really regretted doing so. In one account they witnessed the mother of a young one they shot deeply mourning her loss…) and it seems like I recall the body/bones not being there when they’d gone back to look for it. I mean to say that I get the idea that BF burials don’t often occur. Idk, some do some don’t ? The “grave” in this account sure looks … like a large grave and not just a marker or ? Right ?

Love this one! It’s great to hear the person actually tell some of their encounter. But these videos would not be the same without your narrative. And I’m learning a lot about the great variety of beers. Though not a beer drinker, I’d sure like to try them out. 😅 I used to own 6 acres a little ways south of West Plaines. I never had an encounter there, but I didn’t live there, just visited friends on the adjacent acreage. Great area. A beautiful horse farm was right across the highway but darned if it was sold and a car race track was put in. So sad. I eventually sold my property to the folks next to me and haven’t been back there. Keep On Hiking!🤗

Hi Chris, another fascinating story and interview with Jarrod. I absolutely love listening to you, you are a wonderful story teller. I live in Plymouth, Devon, UK and whilst the South West of England has strange stories we do not have Sasquatch stories. Keep up the good work 👏
Thank you Chris for this platform. I'll be brief. I'm 56 now living in the most southern of NJ. Years ago, approximately 2013 or so I went on a camping trip with a buddy of mine to get my mind off of my recent divorce. We camped outside Wilkes Barre PA. It was a desolate campground with it seemed only us 2. To cut down on detail for sake of content, we set camp and while doing so found a discarded wooden crate. When we put it on the evening fire, for some reason this crate, a plank and wire crate, lit up with flames that grew worrisome high. As we were trying to mitigate thus 15 ft high fire, a voice of the woods, I'd say screamed like what many have heard. It started off low and hit a high peak and dipped low again three or four times easily as it circled us approx at 80 -100 yds ( bow hunter) My non woodsy buddy thought it was a fox. He's forest deaf. I'll never forget that sound and didn't sleep until i passed out near dawn but it apparently didn't like our fire
What a story and the part where his words are repeated would have sent me right out of there. Great story and your telling of it was scary. Thanks again for an amazing story experience and I'm glad you were warm and comfy in your base camp studio.

Its amazing the human behavior. Chris just asked about the burial site on the property. But he doesn’t just answer the question? He goes on to explain where the land was, the size the shape of the land and the plans to live there, and moving onto the land. It is so bizarre?! In a fascinating way, why he did that instead of just answering the question right away?!
I used to hike this 300 acre property that was surrounded by natural forested land on each side of it. There was a family of Sasquatch that lived on and around that forested area. There was a man made dirt road made by the property owner I'm guessing that winded through the bottom end of it but not used by anyone but the owner or a forestry officer from time to time. One day when I was off trail and to the right of this dirt road I spotted 3 dirt mounds with a few rocks on and around them. Immediately I thought they looked like graves. They were in a row all close together and about 6 feet in length. Looked like they had been there for a while but knowing they were on this property made me think maybe they were graves of large animals or something. I've always wondered to this day if they may have been graves of something else. Great story Chris... Love your channel. 👍🙏
I feel sorry for Jerrod, seeing what he seen and hearing what he heard that is scary, and poor Gypsy too, she tried her BEST to get someone out there to help with the situation! Just horrible! Gypsy should have been in the house!! 😍😚😙🐕🐾
Thanks for the story Chris. The mimicry was creepy af. I’m thinking it was good that the graves were not disturbed because that would have opened up a whole different story.
I'd suggest the rock piles were just that, piles. When farming in rocky soils people pile up the rocks they plow up. They pile them out of the tilled space so they don't have such rocky soil. You see this in the Appalachian mountains and surrounding uplands from Maine to Alabama.
I have lived here my whole life and I have been in and out of these woods I have an old native American friend that would tell me stories and I have some of my own stories that still make the hair on my arm and the back of my neck stand straight and give me chills down my back
Oh boy Chris, your stories seem to top your former stories!!!! This story is so freaky!!! What tops it is the speaking of the creature!!! All this is so wild to me. I believe one day that Sasquatch or bigfoot will be photographed and we will see the mystery of this big guy!!! Stay safe Chris!!❤😊
I think people are already doing that but we have been exposed to so many fakes it will take some DNA evidence (like from hair or scat) to prove their existence scientifically. Giant pandas were considered a Chinese folk tale until 1911 when the skin of one was acquired by a European, now they are beloved around the world.
Really? Like you're basically dealing with a monster, if you believe the story is real, that is. I can guarantee any person who claims they would fight bigfoot for their dog is lying. Almost all of us would probably shit our pants if we were ever confronted with a similar situation to these. Dogs are both smart and protective if they think they're protecting you they will put themselves in harms way, but they won't needlessly engage with something much larger than them that is a potential danger.
@@ragingmoderate6791 you would be wrong, I have a friend who put himself in harms way for his dog. Just as I would for mine. They are family. Maybe someday you'll be lucky enough to have this kind of relationship.
@van3363 Nope, no animal is worth my life. I've had dogs and loved them very much. They aren't family, though, and they aren't worth a human life. You might scare off a bear or some wolves for your dog or even stand up to another human. If you think you'd be Tough Man Tim when a 9 foot ape man that isn't supposed to exist pops out and tries to snatch your dog. All I can say is okay dude keep telling yourself that.
I love your story-telling, Chris, but thank you for adding in interviews now and then! It's always good know how it affected the ones who experienced it👍

Scary enough but hearing it mimicking you...yikes!! I was going nuts feeling bad for poor Gypsy too cuz he never says so we brought her inside! I could not listen to my pet scream bark and not protect her like she does me. 😊
Thanks for taking my little advice Chris. You made your video longer. We are not teenagers with short attention span and others we listen to go into waaaaaay more detail so this was nice. Also it was so nice to not hear you say mmmm tasty after bigfoot beer tasting. You are amazing and tell and send many your channel. Keep it up. Ps I listen to 25-30 bigfoot channels alone. Sasquatch Chronicles is my favorite. This topic and most all other truths are starting to come to life and be known.
I remember some years back I watched a hiker come across a large rectangular rise on the ground. Maybe 9x5 ? It was in Colorado. Makes sense they would bury their dead.
For me the creepiest part was the most fascinating part, because it once again sets this being apart from other creatures and indicates it a much higher intelligence. We mimic animals so why wouldn't they mimic us? Except they don't, with the exception of some parrots and maybe one or two others im not aware of. I think he was right that it had no idea what it was saying, but it shows it has acute hearing and a fast-working mind plus good memory. I also believe it knew when he had woken up in the forest, as they seem to be able to read and scan people's energies, so it probably would've sensed the change in him when he woke up, with the added fear level. But interestingly it still sat there for another hour waiting. Its vision must be much superior to ours in the darkness. They seem to be very curious about us and prefer it when we are quiet.
Thanks, Chris, for such illustrating and well-searched stories and chronicles. Even though we have no Sastkwatch activity in our Costa Rican tropical forests (that I know of so far), it's amazing how this amazing species of times old have survived well hidden, and now become more and more active before men's eyes. Could it be because Nature and planet Earth are now entering a total new 'state of Vibration', which allows them (as well as other multidimensional phenomena and creatures) to be much closer and better detected by our own five senses? Cheers and warm hugs PURA VIDA from Costa Rica!!!

Thanks Chris - Kiwi Linda, from sunny New Zealand.
I have never heard about this mimicking before, that I can remember. I think I would have remembered that though, because THAT is creepy!
Yup big foot always wins court cases involving cultural issue fer shur
Right ?
@@woodspirit98More thinking along the lines of this possibly being an old Native American burial area, or maybe early European settlers.
I think it was mean leaving the dog in potential danger outside. For chrissake 🤦♂️🤦♀️
AMEN! GEEZ IS THAT ANY WAY TO TREAT MAN'S BEST FRIEND?? 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
You've never made a drink by boiling green pine needles? Dude! It's delicious, and good for you!
Ok “Euell Gibbons” 😜😂😂😂 (Your comment reminds of him from the old grape nuts commercials in the 70’s)
@@patroberts5449did you ever see the Mad Magazine cartoon ripping on that guy?! Oh man, it was at the limit!
Would have been in the 70's or early 80's.
@@GarthWatkins-th3jt I’m sure I saw it as that was required reading in my teen years!!😂😂
Pine needle tea is rich in vitamin c.
You boil the water, then add the pine needles and let it steep for a few minutes. Actually boiling the needles will kill many of the benefits. 😊
Regarding the trees dying. I think that if someone dug a hole for a burial that it would damage the root system. This could be the reason for the tress dying
Good call!....
Great story! I would like you to do a Q&A with these guests and ask them our questions. I would ask “Has he ever returned to the area or did the creature ever try to make contact with them?”
I live 15 minutes from there and never ever heard anyone mention anything about bigfoot. And I grew up way out in the country.
The mimicking added to the creepy factor!
Thank you Chris for giving us our scary story fix. Glad you're warm and toasty...and I'm not even a beer person. Ha.ha❤. Gonna listen to the story of Gerrat.
Chris you're the best storyteller, love all your sound effects you add in the time you do and I love your home base camp
Happy New Year Chris 2024, Thankyou 😊♡
Thanks so much, Sir Chris! Really appreciate your efforts telling us these incredible encounters. 👍😃
Another great one Chris! Tx for sharing Jared!🌲🏕🌲
LOVE IT Chris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow!! What a story!! Took a lot to lay there for an hour!! Great job Chris keep them coming!
Loved the story as always. I also love your decor and always look for new additions. The clock jumping between different times was hilarious. I assume you combined clips from different recordings, but it added an interesting layer to your storytelling. Thanks for another great story.
Great channel cris, Ur channel is so soothing.
Thank you!! appreciate it...C🍌
Love this one! It’s great to hear the person actually tell some of their encounter. But these videos would not be the same without your narrative. And I’m learning a lot about the great variety of beers. Though not a beer drinker, I’d sure like to try them out. 😅
I used to own 6 acres a little ways south of West Plaines.
Great show as usual. This was one of your best. My wife and i were especially interested because about eight years ago we were looking at rural property outside West Plains. Creepy stuff! Now kinda glad we never moved there despite now living in Big Foot country in north central Illinois! Lots of sightings here. We might have encountered one near our house a couple years ago! Thanks again - and we loved the small stove. Bring it back!
Hi Chris, another fascinating story and interview with Jarrod. I absolutely love listening to you, you are a wonderful story teller. I live in Plymouth, Devon, UK and whilst the South West of England has strange stories we do not have Sasquatch stories. Keep up the good work 👏
Thank you Chris! 👍
This was one of the scariest and creepiest I’ve listened to. It’s by far my favorite so far… wow !!!
Thanks Donald...that was creepy. C

So do I!!!! 😍😚😙🐕🐾
West Plains MO is just a pile of small rocks😅. ❤ thanks for sharing Chris and Jarrod. (I lived 7 miles out of town too ha)
You are right in the area. Looks like good country. and very welcome! C🍌
Yay just looking for you and you posted just in time for my bedtime story❤
Another great one Chris. Thank you!
Chris Happy New Year 🎉i love your videos
What a story and the part where his words are repeated would have sent me right out of there. Great story and your telling of it was scary. Thanks again for an amazing story experience and I'm glad you were warm and comfy in your base camp studio.

Well I mean they mimic forest animals so that makes sense...but still creepy and scary!
Amazing story!
Great video.
Another great story chris. Good stuff.
Another great story! I appreciate your story telling ways! You're really enjoyable to listen to. And I love the still images you add throughout the video! I'm not sure if the calendar is all Bigfoot or if it's just August that has Bigfoot. If it's the former, let's see the rest! Now I'm gonna have to check the calendar on your older vids.
Thanks for the story!
Yes I caught that and his clock went from 9.00 to 11.00 😮😮😮
Its amazing the human behavior. Chris just asked about the burial site on the property. But he doesn’t just answer the question? He goes on to explain where the land was, the size the shape of the land and the plans to live there, and moving onto the land. It is so bizarre?! In a fascinating way, why he did that instead of just answering the question right away?!
Enjoy your story's thank you Chris 🌼🐝🌺 love you laugh 😅🙂
I feel sorry for the dog, gypsy, poor thing was being tormented by this thing. Hopefully when they moved to Florida they took that poor dog with them.
ME TOO ANNA. POOR SWEET DOG! 😥😥😥🦮🦮🦮🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺😟😟😟
I feel sorry for Jerrod, seeing what he seen and hearing what he heard that is scary, and poor Gypsy too, she tried her BEST to get someone out there to help with the situation!
Just horrible! Gypsy should have been in the house!! 😍😚😙🐕🐾
Very fascinating stories thx Chris
Thanks for the story Chris. The mimicry was creepy af. I’m thinking it was good that the graves were not disturbed because that would have opened up a whole different story.
I'd suggest the rock piles were just that, piles. When farming in rocky soils people pile up the rocks they plow up. They pile them out of the tilled space so they don't have such rocky soil. You see this in the Appalachian mountains and surrounding uplands from Maine to Alabama.
I have lived here my whole life and I have been in and out of these woods I have an old native American friend that would tell me stories and I have some of my own stories that still make the hair on my arm and the back of my neck stand straight and give me chills down my back
They obviously really care deeply for that poor dog.🤔😏
I KNOW RIGHT! I WAS VERY UPSET FOR THAT POOR DOG LEFT OUTSIDE ALONE TO FACE THAT THING!
in the country its very common to have a yard dog. if you don’t tie them up they are completely safe.
@@michaeljohnston6856 That's when they don't know a Bigfoot is in the yard a couple times a week. They do kill pets sometimes.

Hello Canada!
Happy new year Chris i plan on doing a ton of hiking this year hope i don’t see a squatch out here in Tennessee
Happy New Year Chris and Base Campers!
Yeah that was a creepy one Chris 😬💯
WHAT ABOUT POOR GYPSY THE DOG? THAT IS HORRIBLE AND JUST PLAIN CRUEL TO LEAVE YOUR BEST FRIEND OUTSIDE TO FACE THAT CREATURE ALL ALONE! JUST TERRIBLE!
I agree with you dixxylizzy!
I'd never leave my fur babies in harms way.
Thanks Chris for another great story.
What a wonderfful new year ahead.

I prefer that they leave me alone!!!
They do have superior vision from what people have said, they have eyeshine which means they can see much more at night than we can
Thanks, Chris, for such illustrating and well-searched stories and chronicles.
