I have lived in southern oregon for almost 5 decades. My husband and i know the forest service roads better than roads in the city limits. We have been camping in the same primitive campground in the woods for 2 decades. We know the sounds of our native wildlife. One year we were having a small family camping trip. Two households and 7 dogs with us. One evening after dinner we heard what sounded like a tree falling. Then we heard the weirdest and scariest sounding animal call we have ever heard. It soubded like a mixture of growl, hoot, and scream. It sounded really close to camp. Then we heard the same call replying back, maybe from a mile or two away. The dogs all immediately tucked tail and hid in our sleeping bags and wouldn't come out of the tent until morning. Lets say, we really didnt get any sleep that night. And we left the next day, which was a day early. We have never heard that sound again. Took almost 4 decades of being in the woods to experience something like that.

Every Sunday I get to work at 5:30 AM, I look forward to your Sunday morning videos every week. Thanks for mentioning Ashland Oregon, my daughter went to college there it’s a great little town. Have a great day everyone and thank you Chris for another great video.
Born and raised near there. I hunted that area in between the Coast and Grants Pass, Medford, Ashland, for near 30 years. Camping, hunting, fishing, backpacking 🎒, sleeping without a tent, no problems, usually a deer, which is Blacktail, not big deer with it's stomach ate out is definitely Black Bear, they always go for the gut pile first. I hunted with probably 20 to 25 loggers who worked logging in those mountain's and no one including me ever seen a Big Foot. Not saying it's BS, but I have relatives that say they seen them! One thing in common, is when they described the smell! Who knows the truth? The Shadow Knows!!! 😮 You tell great stories! 👍 I especially enjoyed this one Sir! 😊 Thanks PS I'm 70 in November!
Yep same hear, lived there my entire life ans spent a lot time in the wood camping and hunting. You never know but it's hard to believe that Bigfoot exists when no one has ever found one dead or has shot one to my knowledge.
@jjcrazylegs7081 thats fine, you came here for a reason. Maybe one day you will realize the apparent things you have experienced, is nothing compared to others. Why not say that? Instead, its because you didnt see one, they dont exist. Ever see a polar bear? I bet you havent, and they are real. Figure that out.
@jjcrazylegs7081 Actually, they have. BF buries their dead... that's why you don't see them. Many people have recorded their howls and knocks. Too many people over centuries have experienced them.
Yes haha. I think of Steve Martin every time I see him. Haha. 😆 I wanted to comment that before but was not sure if it would be appreciated. (I like Steve Martin though)
This is one of the scariest stories Chris has recounted yet!! I live on several acres in NC and I always wonder if a BF just might be out there in the woods watching me. I don’t venture out in the yard after dark and I don’t like to look out the windows at night. This story is definitely one that makes you want to sleep with the lights on!! 😳🫣
I live near Ashland. I've rode my motorcycle all over the hills behind Mt Ashland, on down into northern California, Condrey Mountain area. This is west of I-5. To the east of I-5 is that national monument area you spoke of. Because of that monument, the riding isn't as good on that side. We have explored over there though. Done a lot of camping here in Oregon as well. I have never had any encounters with a squatch. After listening to many of your stories, I think that makes me the lucky one. We just recently saw a couple of cougars crossing the road. We were about 60 yards away. They're magnificent and beautiful in person.
We live in a hunting cabin turned full time home, in the woods, by a river. From time to time there has been a cougar roaming through our woods following the river. Our daughter found the remains of a deer on one of her hikes in the woods with its belly ripped open. Thankfully we didn't hear the attack. Those poor dogs must have been traumatized. His daughter was brave and Im so glad she and the children and the dogs got out safely.
Great storytelling Chris! Very scary situations. First time a Sasquatch tore up the property in your stories. Bad temper! Poor dogs trapped in a kennel watching a deer be gutted, I'd be freaked out and frozen too. They knew it was still in the woods!! That was really a good idea getting everyone inside. Thanks Chris! Happy hiking 🥾
These people didn’t deserve to have dogs, why in the hell would they leave them outside ? These dogs were smart enough to realize they were in grave danger . If you can’t treat animals like part of the family don’t have em !!!
Completely agree. Those poor dogs were terrified and traumatized. This whole kennel thing is inhumane. I feel badly that they were forced to go back to that location even if they were no longer kept in a kennel. Dogs are family members and should be treated as such otherwise find a kind dog loving family who will ensure their safety and not have them left alone in a remote location for long periods of time
@@MrRichgounder1969 ok, so they're dogs, why do they need to stay in a kennel or a coop with a cover? Are they going to be bad hunting dogs if they get to stay inside? And what exactly does a hunting dog do? I'm genuinely asking, I don't go hunting, so I have no idea. But as with everything in life, I'm willing to listen to the other side, and if you've got a valid point, then change my mind. I'm always up for a civil discussion.
Wow, Chris, one of your scariest stories! Excellent! I‘m shocked that he would leave his dogs in the kennel, that he didn’t warn his daughter, that he didn’t move out immediately! Obviously, some commenters think that sasquatch are flesh and blood creatures, possibly benign, and others state that they have unusual powers. I would appreciate hearing some theories.
I think they are a branch of hominids that are similar to the supposedly extinct line of Gigantopithecus. The giant panda was thought to be a Chinese folk tale until a pelt was brought to a European in 1911. Now they are known and protected pretty much worldwide.
Good Morning Chris...its almost 8am here in Arizona... I think the father should of told his daughter what he saw months ago and let her be aware of what he saw. I would never leave my dogs 🐕 in a kennel for that long of a time being gone.. Those dogs 🐕 must of been scared to death seeing an animal being gutted in front of them..Poor dogs 🐕 😢 I wonder what would of happened if his daughter and her kids couldn't leave the house until Sasquatch came and got his kill...or Not.... Great Story, Chris...
I live within 100 acres alone I never had any unusual situation, but I also have three dogs and I have them inside with me. How else can a dog protect you?!
Agree! My beasts are at my side 24/7. I also live on a mtn by myself....no neighbors. Because of my large dogs and their protective instincts I am never afraid. (a couple of "shooters" in the house helps ease any fears too). But the dogs are very good at guarding the homestead. I often say...."my dogs would follow me into hell and lead me back out. I owe them everything".
Thank you for your great stories. Looking forward to your next one. Love it when you’re out and about. Being disabled, and find walking difficult, it seems like I’m out there with you.
The California/Oregon border area is extremely dense and sparsely populated forest. Mountain and thick pine forest. Incredibly beautiful but no light pollution. Very wild. There have been extreme encounters with all kinds of cryptids in that area for decades.
Wow Chris, your best story ever. The only thing is that even though the guys had time to get the binoculars out, have a look and pass them to another person, nobody thought to snap a pic on their phone. Similarly, when the people were in the house, looking at the beastie out the windows for several minutes, noone thought to get a pic with their phone. In 2022 I feel most people, even teenagers, all have a phone with a camera. Love your work. Thank you
When people see a Sasquatch the last thing they think of is to take out their phone and try to take a photo or video Reason is is that when you first see on the absolutely debilitating fear is stunning ., when your worried your about to die is that what you think of ..?? Taking a picture..?? Well.. most people don’t
@@mrmatthew2443 I agree with you if you are in the woods at night in a tent or hiking out in the open with no protection but when you are safely inside a locked house and looking at the beastie for several, if not more, minutes through the windows, why wouldn't you take a photo? I want to believe and I love hearing the stories but when you consider the thousands of sightings over decades and, in my opinion, there has not been even one irrefutable photo or video of one of the creatures. Perhaps they are all hanging out up in Scotland with Nessie have a good old time. Just my opinion
@@chrispotter219like some of the viewers that sent his story to Chris said: when there is a serial killer chasing you to kill you or harm you do you take you phone out to record it?? Thank you Chris! This was a very good, scary sstory! My daughter and her husband and daughter are camping in the mountains niw and I am thinking i should pray for their safety.
Wonder if it was upset that the dogs were left so long in the kennel (and perhaps repeatedly.) Maybe it thought they were being confined for too long and was trying to get them released, as it seemed all along like it had a purpose. Once the dogs were released, it stopped bothering them which is interesting.
Thank you, Chris! I hope that’s the end of the families traumatic experiences. However, my dad would’ve been more concerned with his daughter and grandkid’s safety than getting a bad rap for ‘seeing things’. He would never have let any of his children/grandkids go to a remote area by themselves if he had just had a frightening encounter with a big foot or any potentially dangerous animal. Very bad judgment!
This was intense. I love hearing ones like this but I feel so bad for those who have to deal with it and wish them peace and safety. Stay blessed everyone

organic apples :) this is how we befriended some juveniles in WA
Every Sunday I get to work at 5:30 AM, I look forward to your Sunday morning videos every week. Thanks for mentioning Ashland Oregon, my daughter went to college there it’s a great little town. Have a great day everyone and thank you Chris for another great video.
I loved Ashland, I was living in Eagle Point small community at the time I was there in 1996
I lived at the Columbia Hotel in Ashland, the Fall of 1975. Lots of love to Ashland, Oregon @@garywetzel8240
😊 Thanks
PS I'm 70 in November!
Great story chris j6st sorry the poor family suffered the terror 😮
Yep same hear, lived there my entire life ans spent a lot time in the wood camping and hunting. You never know but it's hard to believe that Bigfoot exists when no one has ever found one dead or has shot one to my knowledge.
Then why do you listen? For the articles?
@jjcrazylegs7081 thats fine, you came here for a reason. Maybe one day you will realize the apparent things you have experienced, is nothing compared to others. Why not say that? Instead, its because you didnt see one, they dont exist. Ever see a polar bear? I bet you havent, and they are real. Figure that out.
@jjcrazylegs7081 Actually, they have. BF buries their dead... that's why you don't see them. Many people have recorded their howls and knocks. Too many people over centuries have experienced them.
Whoo hoo it’s story time! Thanks Chris 😊

I can’t be the only person who is reminded of Steve Martin every time I see Chris.
Yes haha. I think of Steve Martin every time I see him. Haha. 😆
I wanted to comment that before but was not sure if it would be appreciated. (I like Steve Martin though)
Your right
Your rite they could be brothers.
@@siaitsme6800I love Steve Martin!! Who doesn't love Steve Martin??😊
@@elaineisabelle427I like your name. Beautiful❤
Our daughter found the remains of a deer on one of her hikes
in the woods with its belly ripped open.
Agreed. My dogs stay inside and sleep in the same room. I've never understood the whole kennel thing.
Wah ha....never heard of outside hunting dogs? Not all dogs are candy asses tgat need to hide under mommy's skirts........ city folk......😂
Completely agree. Those poor dogs were terrified and traumatized. This whole kennel thing is inhumane. I feel badly that they were forced to go back to that location even if they were no longer kept in a kennel. Dogs are family members and should be treated as such otherwise find a kind dog loving family who will ensure their safety and not have them left alone in a remote location for long periods of time
They are dogs!!!! I’ve had hunting dogs that stay outside in a coop with cover.
Well, good morning! ☕️ Thank you, Clark, for coming forward with your encounter. Now that is a nightmare situation!
Happy Independence Day Everyone!
Good Morning Chris...its almost 8am here in Arizona...
I think the father should of told his daughter what he saw months ago and let her be aware of what he saw.
I would never leave my dogs 🐕 in a kennel for that long of a time being gone..
Those dogs 🐕 must of been scared to death seeing an animal being gutted in front of them..Poor dogs 🐕 😢
I wonder what would of happened if his daughter and her kids couldn't leave the house until Sasquatch came and got his kill...or Not....
Great Story, Chris...
I never missed your videos! You're very talented for stories telling! It captivated me each time! Big love from Montreal in Canada! 💙🖤
Happy Canada Day.
@marymacgregor6952 thank you
I live within 100 acres alone I never had any unusual situation, but I also have three dogs and I have them inside with me.
@@margaretlally9747 yep, absolutely right my ex-husband always said I treat the dogs better than him. 😉😉 My animals mean everything to me !
☕️
Cheers from Okanagan valley British Columbia 🇨🇦
Dogman country aint it?but strange things are all around us😮
That's gods country!!!!
Was in Penticton last year for a car show. Beautiful!
Thank you for your great stories. Looking forward to your next one. Love it when you’re out and about. Being disabled, and find walking difficult, it seems like I’m out there with you.
21:56 glad the dogs were ok😊
The California/Oregon border area is extremely dense and sparsely populated forest. Mountain and thick pine forest. Incredibly beautiful but no light pollution. Very wild. There have been extreme encounters with all kinds of cryptids in that area for decades.
Especially over by Mt Shasta. Lots if sightings around that mountain.
@user-nr8mo5dh8l yup. Also very beautiful but extremely dense, with a low human population.
Thank you
When people see a Sasquatch the last thing they think of is to take out their phone and try to take a photo or video
Reason is is that when you first see on the absolutely debilitating fear is stunning ., when your worried your about to die is that what you think of ..??
Or when there is an immediate danger like flash flooding or a tornado do you run or would you like to take a selfie with the emergency??? 🤷🏻♀️💁🏻♀️
@@chrispotter219what makes you think they felt safe inside the house?? If you haven't been in a similar situation you have no right to judge or critize. No one knows how to react to something like that. Simply because something like Bigfoot is not supposed to even exist.
@@Gri03 I actually speak from experience. I have been in a similar situation and the fact that I had the wits to take a photo saved me a huge deal of trouble and stress and was proof that what I was saying was the truth. How can you possibly presume to know what sort of person I am and what I have experienced in my life? You should consider thinking before you comment so you don't look foolish
As always, Thank You Chris. Yes. Keep the dogs in the house. I look forward to next Sunday! Minneapolis, MN
this was CHILLING! Dogs know what's up! Thanks Chris!
Thee worst thing you can do is bend to their antics ! I know I am not speaking as someone who has not had issues with them! But in my case after they scared my dog? I had smoke coming outta my ears!
I told them “ MINE” ! U touch my dog one of us is gonna die!
You’re smart I get it!
But ( pointing at my car, house, rifle) you build this? So I am smart too! Don’t push me!
Never ever had another problem!
If they do something or try to harm my dogs or pets in general (cats, rabbit) whatever, what's to say they won't try it with my kids and relatives too??
@@Gri03 I know this sounds weird ; very odd ?
However; in all the time we know about them ! A long long time! We hv never ever caught up to them? Never?
Why?
I will start with this ? They understand every word you say! They will not talk to you they hv their own language ! If u hv not listen to the Sierra sounds .
Go to the edge of the woods and talk to them!
You can’t act like you’re gonna pee yourself? Carry your gun and tell them “this gun is not for you, it’s to protect me from wild animals because I am not big like you”!
“Do not touch my animals or children”! I will not touch your stuff , your pets, or little ones!
“You can watch all you want and look”. “However “! “ No scarring me or my ppl, or animals here”!
I would not start giving them stuff? You can say in the winter if your hungry tell me get my attention leave a stack of rocks however many u decide and I will help?
Let them wander around if they want? Trust me if they wanted you dead? Your dogs? Guest? U would hv been dead along time ago!
Do not point guns at them unless you mean to actually shoot them! In fact tell them “I will not shoot you! I don’t shoot you period”. But I will defend myself like you defend yourself”
The one you caught on the deck is mad? They get mad if caught? So he came back to show you he is not afraid ? Stupid I know?
I am a Christian man! These creatures ; and they are not ppl! Their DNA shows a mix however out of the entire world’s DNA data bank no Male contributor Is found ?
They are a fallen angelic being that has been here as long as us!
If you’re a Christian I will explain? If not start where I stated.
@@zephyr1408yes, I agree. It makes me mad that they are scaring men so bad that they won’t go in the woods anymore. God put man in charge of this earth, and Christians have authority in Jesus name. But to seek them out is just foolish. I like to see people who have figured out their behavior, although I don’t think they are friendly, cuddly animals at all, nephilim as you said.
@@mightywind7595 yes! They are fallen angelic creatures . They might be friendly however as Scott Carpenter stated “ murder is always on the list” with them!
I stay away , don’t want anything to do with them. Never purposely threatening unless I am threatened! I just walk away if I know they are there.
This was a really good one, Chris!! Intense!
I live near Ashland! Lots of Big Foot believers around here, you'll see it on people's bumper stickers all the time. Definite Big Foot encounter, I believe them!
I have to say I watch a lot of your videos and I really enjoy them. I'm a recovering alcoholic I've been sober for 10 years. I appreciate your level of responsibility when enjoying a cold Brew.
You are excellent at telling these stories! I could just imagine it so well!!! I was on pins and needles throughout the whole time. Very frightening! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much, Sir Chris! 👍😁
A pleasure as always Chris. Thank you from Ireland
@BaseCampChris___000 Did I win something? lol
What a nightmare situation!! I was completely enthralled with it, edge of my seat stuff 😊 KEEP HIKING ❤
I live in the woods in Oregon, and I am soooo glad that I have never had a Bigfoot encounter. Several of my neighbors have though, I have no reason to not believe them.
Chilling story. So glad they kept the dogs safe. They must have been terrified.
I'm so glad these people thought of the dogs as well as the family, cuz I'm a dog person and its great to hear about people who take very good care of their pets they are a part of the family...thank you for the story Chris..
Thank you Chris! This was a very good, scary sstory! My daughter and her husband and daughter are camping in the mountains niw and I am thinking i should pray for their safety.
I love that the guy decides not to tell his daughter, then has her & her children take care of the property ignorant of the facts. Just SMDH!
Wonder if it was upset that the dogs were left so long in the kennel (and perhaps repeatedly.) Maybe it thought they were being confined for too long and was trying to get them released, as it seemed all along like it had a purpose. Once the dogs were released, it stopped bothering them which is interesting.
Good observation.
I’ve heard BF does not like dogs and many have been killed by them. More likely it wanted the dogs as prey.
Another great story!! Thank you Chris!
I love Sunday Storytime with BaseCampChris!!! Thanks Chris! You’re amazing 🤩
Good morning, Chris!
Made my day Chris love all the stories and as I said before you are one of the best story tellers . top two in my opinion.
I listen to you every night. I love all the repeats too. Thank you for keeping me entertained.
That’s the best story yet Chris. Great job. Wow that was on believable.
Loved this story Chris. I pray that you will be safe in your travels.
Soooo spooky, as usual. Imagine the fear of that Mom trying to get her kids out safely. A lot of terror. Thanks Chris. Enjoy your summer, everyone.
Thank you for sharing this horrifying encounter.
Hello Chris , love listening to the story . Love the sound effects while the story is going on ! Love you
Thank you, Chris!
You are the Best story teller!
Thanks for the time and effort that you must put into your post. You are truly the best.
@BaseCampChris___000
My wife and I are hooked on your posts. We stand at attention on Sundays to watch. God bless and have a safe 4th of July!!😊

Thanks, Chris, for sharing the incountter.
This was intense. I love hearing ones like this but I feel so bad for those who have to deal with it and wish them peace and safety. Stay blessed everyone
I live in southern Oregon and we have been researching bigfoot for over 25 years here. We have had a few experiences where they came into camp in the middle of the night and take stuff and run off with it. Sometimes they would leave something in trade. We have a lot of bigfoot activity here.
Top 5 story Chris! I enjoy Sundays MORE when I see you've posted a video!🌲🏕

Went hiking and camping this weekend The Bend Texas by San Saba Texas and was thinking of your stories as I was climbing in the canyon!!
Good story. Thanks!
I can't imagine living somewhere where this kind of activity is taking place day and night.
