Coral Citizen | Pederson's Shrimp on Curlycue Anemone | 6.17.2023

A colony of Pederson's shrimp (Ancylomenes pedersoni) living around the tentacles of a curlycue sea anemone (Bartholomea annulata) in the crevice of the seawall around the Miami Seaquarium in Biscayne Bay. Pederson's Shrimp are so translucent that their eggs can be seen inside their bodies. There is a commensal pistol shrimp that could be heard but not seen, that also lives in association with this anemone.
