FASTER SET-UP ROUTE - When I’m doing this run to save another build, I’ll usually skip going to weeping peninsular for the tears (buying the somber 2, 3 and 4 from Iji instead), skip killing Greyoll and just kill Cavalry using the method I showed in the Mohg guide and skip early volcano manor, only going to +4 before Godskin Noble (going straight to plus 9 afterwards). Doing it this way means you’ll be heading to/already in Volcano Manor at the 60 minute mark, instead of fighting Margit/Goddrick. Hope you like the vid!
You can also use Blaidd for the boss fight if you have problems with it. Find him at Mistwood Ruins, hear him howling then get the snapping finger gesture from merchant Kale in church of elleh in limgrave. Go back to Mistwood Ruins, use the gesture and speak to Blaidd. One you go through all his dialog a summon sign will apear inside bloodhound boss. Hope this helps!
Bonus to this, aside from an easier Darriwil fight, this also unlocks the carian filigree crest at Iji without having to begin ranni's quest, which is cool if you are gonna spam the ash of war. I Just did all this, starting with a warrior but could be done with any class, less than 15 minutes to get the bloodhound fang, ingame clock, without any levels.
I'm so glad that i found your channel last week. I watched all your build videos and currently doing myself the STR/FAITH one and i love it.The set-up route is pretty quick and gets you a good start for any build. Hope you get more recognition because all of your vids are high quality epic guides! Ty for making them!My favourite Elden Ring content creator! :)
I never comment on youtube videos but I have to now, you genuinely make some of the best videos i’ve seen from a gaming channel in a long time. I love that I can tell the genuine love you have for doing this and making content
I just want to say thank you for your guides. I just started playing Dark Souls type games and I was totally lost but your videos has helped me beat every boss and make the game enjoyable. Keep up the quality content!
Wow man, u got so much better than in the older videos (for example, this minimap is just amazing), keep doing this nice content, it is really helpful, good luck to ya!
I've been binge watching all of your videos! I'm currently using your intelligence spell blade nebula build; it's nasty! Keep up the great work as always.
I tried the Lance/Serpent Hunter trick on Rykard recently. It only works if the Lance is in the right hand, and SH in the other. If you see only the hit effect, and no streams of light, you’re doing it right. I was surprised how much easier it made the fight.
I love your guides mate. As someone who hasn't even completed the game once yet, they just help me with techniques and where to find certain items. Once completed, i'll probably try a quick run through like this. Thumbs up
I’m glad I found ur channel a few weeks ago been stuck on your videos man made me get back into elden ring n realize how bad I was after thinking I was gonna be good from watching your videos but I’m getting a little better ever so slowly😂
I started playing this for the first time last week, found your channel and have used your startup guides and several build creations! Thank you for making this game more enjoyable and easy to understand! Would love to see a dex/faith lightning samurai build at some point 😄
I think a whole lot of people used it on their first! I remember being tempted by it but I didn’t have the dex. Glad you enjoyed it, Gost. Thanks for watching, as always!
thank you for doing a guide like this. people dont realise that for 50% of the game you dont even need damage stats, you get all the damge you need from upgrading the weapon. getting vigor just makes early game so ez
ahh nice one!! i did my first playthrough with dual bloodhound fang traded from a friend in the late game and i had a blast! i also liked the bloodhound+zamor curved sword combo! keep em comin!
Been watching your videos for a little over a week now, great content, great builds, and great commentary throughout all of them. Cheers, keeps up the great work!
Beat the game for the first time, then used this build to beat the game again. Took me about 9 hours to do, since some of the bosses were really tough for me. Regardless, i loved this video - really comprehensive guide!
Just beat the game with this build. Thank you for the help, radagon took me about an hour to beat, but I first tried elden Beast. all together it took me 6 hours.
Dude, cannot quite exactly "grasp" what it is with your videos, maybe the superb music, the style of your explanations, wtf ever, your videos are really encouraging to build that particular char, kudos...i always have to use a 'no parry' strat, i almost never get the timing right😁
1:55 Honestly, I think a few of your builds in your channel will still survive beyond NG+7 pretty well. Your dragon communion build and strength build have served me well to the point where NG+7 still feels like a revenge run, save for a few end-game bosses.
an idea I had was a "poise break mage" where you focus on sorceries that do massive posture damage, then equip a slow but powerful spell and one shot when the enemy is vulnerable
Just for the intro you deserve a sub, but you forgot the beetle for the somber 8 and the somber 9 on the chair down the dragon valley in caelid. Also for Rykard i found out that if you equip the Lance in the left hand and Serpent Hunter in right hand, you do MASSIVELY less damage than viceversa so be sure to equip those properly lance in main hand and serpent hunter in off hand.
I for one would like to see a run for the other classes as well, but I enjoy watching all of your build videos even if it's not normally one I'd see playing I still watch. Great advice on bosses/paths, etc. Excellent videos and info
Fishy with the strats. Finally somebody showing that the most forgiving and chill build is vigor gouge with base stats and a well upgraded weapon. Ppl don’t realize that you don’t need more dmg until like the mountains
This quite impressive gameplay. I'm an old man that has no reaction time left, so the Soldier of Godrick gives me trouble, but I like to watch you show us how it's done.
I see people commenting this already but a lot of these guides don't mention Blaidd helping to get the Bloodhounds Fang. You can do this ASAP. Apply Radagon's Soreseal and you have to stats to use asap as a Samurai. Or if you're a different class make sure to get the stats to use asap if you're melee. Probably the best melee weapon in the game minus the Cheesphemous Blade. But the fact that you can get it from the start and use until the end has to count for something.
The first build I followed of yours was the Albert Einstein 70 minute long how to build every character starting guide. And in that one you don't explain how to get out of the volcano manner and I was stuck down there until I found another video that showed up me how to get out which was the same route you show in this video. But kudos, just wanted to say thanks for including that in this video. You probably have included it in many others as well now but this is the first one I've seen.😊
Thank you for letting the Rykard fight play through. I had some trouble last time while doing the playthrough with wing of astel. I also really enjoy the new way you are using the map in the top right corner and the introductory cinematic is as epic as always. Love your videos!!!
The music plus your voice makes me feel like I'm watching a nature documentary about the Lands Between XD. Secondly, you somehow managed to describe my preferred build perfectly!
Something I do for Greyoll is get Bloodflame Blade to put on the Morning Star while on the horse, as the Morning Star’s horseback moveset is repeated slashes that will consistently hit her. Bloodflame Blade is infinite given you can get the stats to set it up, and has slightly more blood loss buildup than bleed grease.
Under 4 hours Elden beast? Noob bro, I did it in 38 hours... Amazing guide dude, I'vee been watching your videos since last week and they're very good 💪
Idea: If you're going to use Bloodhound Fang, bus yourself to Altus for Raptor's Black Feathers and then Stormveil Castle for Claw Talisman. All three of these items give bonus damage to jumping attacks; Fang +10%, Feathers +10%, Claw +15%. I think a few of them stack multiplicatively though. This can net a whopping damage change with jumping attacks that honestly trivializes some fights. Then you should "quality" your str/dex to minimums for Fang and pop Dex/Str physik before bosses. Absolutely hilarious levels of damage for basically minimal investment.
For those wanting more damage early and late game with this weapon invest a few points in faith and arcane and get the blood flame incantation this is the only somber upgraded weapon that allows applied buffs like blood flame makes a huge difference
At 3:30 after picking up the tear you can go straight to the 3:38 bridge and before jumping of the cliff go a bit left and jump to a rock near the bridge to get down, dont even take fall damage. Is just a 10 second save but is better than nothing
If you talk to the blaid first you can summon him and he soloes the bloodhound knight for a easier time. Also LOVE that sword. It's always my go-to weapon if I struggle with a fight
you just keep getting better and better man, adding the map on the top right is a great add on also, any updates on the written version of your early game guide? im really looking forward to that :)
Some things that can make this build stronger: 1- Buy some smithing stones and upgrade the katana to kill the bloodhound knight Darriwil quickly. 2- Kill Patches for margit's shackle, it works for Morgot as well. 3- Get Flame grant me strength, needs only 10 faith with Godrick's great rune equiped (gives 5 extra points) 4- Commander's standard as soon as you get a +9 weapon, its better than golden vow. 5- Get Scholar's armament to buff the weapon, it last 60 seconds. 6- Ritual sword talisman 7- Kill Alexander just right at the beginning, because he gives 10% extra dmg and 15% extra dmg in farum azula, it makes no sence at that point but it does help a lot in the early game. 8- You can also pick exalted flesh to easily beat Godrick before you get all the others buffs. 9- Get sleep pots for the Godskin noble, the one in volcano manor. If you do what ive said, you can cheese the Draconic tree sentinel with consecutive L2, R2 weapon art, you dont really need to fight him, same with Morgot. Before that point, you dont need more than 25 vigor points, you better invest all to str and dex, after that you will have to invest most points to vigor, all the dmg you can deal is irrelevant, late game bosses are hard af, even having an op build if you dont know how to fight them you will die and there is no guide that can help you, sadly. For last, if you are good enough you can go for Lord of blood's exultation, the last op talisman for this build.
Another way to escape volcano manor is to climb up the ladder by the somber 6. You can parkour off the edge into the patio to bypass the door and get to the grace.
You ever think about doing a pyromancy build? Tried following your lightning only build with a few modifications for flame incantations and it's working for me so far.
Hey Fishy! I love your videos, and was wondering if you could do a guide for what became one of my favorite elden ring builds, the Iron Balls/Star Fists playthrough. At first I thought it'd be a meme, but these weapons do insane damage, poise breaking, and weigh so little you can wear really heavy armor. The basic idea of the build is to get the iron balls early as possible, use them up to smithing stone 4 level, then switch them out for the star fist since the smithing stone ball bearings 1 and 2 are easy to get. Or you can just dectus medallion to get star fist early, it all depends on how easily you think you can fight bogart or the draconic tree Sentinel. Focus on medalions/physik enhancing charge attacks, boosting poise damage, and fishing for fully charged R2s. Axe Talisman, flame grant strength, cragblade, strength knot, spiked cracked, and stonebarbed cracked are a must as soon as you can get them. Give it a try it's a really strong and fun build.
Usually I grab a Gold Pickled Foul Foot on the beach in Limgrave and over by some soldiers by a crucified person near the Waypoint Ruins. I kill Greyoll like everyone else, but then I get Poison Mist, the Two-Fingers Talisman and any faith seal with low stats (maybe the Beast Claw?) and then go to Caelid and sneak up on Commander O'Neil and poison him. I use the second Foul Foot for another big, early game Rune boost.
A suggestion. A build made around Rykard's Blasfemous Blade, making use of it's health regeneration capabilities, which you can increase further by getting the Serpent-God Curved Sword, Rykard's Great Rune, and even Taker's Cameo if you feel like waiting for a bit.
Sounds like a fun idea! I did use Blasphemous Blade for my Str/Fth build guide a while back. But might come back to it when we get DLC! Thanks for watching!
It's a credit to your skills that you don't get hit much so pumping vigor doesn't really matter, especially when you're finishing boss fights with 7 crimson flasks remaining. It'll be more helpful to not as skilled players like myself. It's a great video of your gameplay and very good advice🙂
Fishy there's this physic tear called winged or wingy talisman at hermit shack which increases equip load for heavy loaders and I and will make you light equipped even if you have the heaviest piece of armour it's useful when used against the light roll strat against malenia
Finally... a DEX build with the Bloodhound Fang weapon, and all the up to date version nerfs - thank you, as I'm playing ER starting out with version 1.08, and was not an early release date player.
I find Radagon and the EB easier on melee builds if they use a big weapon. When I got to them with my dagger build it was just a nightmare. I finally got the Butchering Knife and jump attacked Radagon and the EB to death. I expect they'd be pretty easy with the Bloodhound's Fang as it hits hard enough to stagger them.
The placement of Somber stones in Volcano Manor makes every somber weapon crazy good early/mid game. +6 somber weapon without any bossfights is crazy.
I love the use of the map in the corner while you explore. Too many videos jump around expecting you to know exactly where to go
Haha, yeah my vids were like that last year. Think I’ve figured out getting the map there now though. Thanks for watching!
I agree, amazing addition!

@@ThingfishyGamingYes please :D Keep the map there its awesome!
You can also use Blaidd for the boss fight if you have problems with it. One you go through all his dialog a summon sign will apear inside bloodhound boss. Hope this helps!
If you have any sort of weapon with decent stagger, the combo of yourself and blaidd will never let that fella stand up. Its just a straight up bully
Blaidd also just solos him often enough if you steal aggro once in a while
Darriwil is pretty easy, just jump attack him and it will perma stagger him, as long as your weapon isn't a feather.

Really glad you’re enjoying the channel, Tyler! Yeah that build was ridiculous! Probably still the most OP build I’ve made. Thanks for watching!

Fishy there's this physic tear called winged or wingy talisman at hermit shack which increases equip load for heavy loaders and I and will make you light equipped even if you have the heaviest piece of armour it's useful when used against the light roll strat against malenia
squidward voice: ohh, a dex build? interesting! with a bloodhound fang, daring today are we?
The idea is to rush to endgame then respec into a pvp character.
Greetings from Brazil man! Great video, tks :)
fr bro ur videos r incredible, appreciate!
Finally... a DEX build with the Bloodhound Fang weapon, and all the up to date version nerfs - thank you, as I'm playing ER starting out with version 1.08, and was not an early release date player.
I’d love to see a medium shield and sword build
The map on the right helps so much
love the lil map! so helpful ^.^
Your voice and music is so relaxing
dude that intro had me engaged
