In german it's free letter. °_° refers to basically a document that grants you certain priviledges, signed by someone with the necessary amount of authority. Basically an outdated term. No Idea why they choose that term.
The spiritbonding change should mostly mean that even the Indagator equivalent should still get Materia at a decent rate from regular Level 100 nodes. Which I am all for tbh. Unsure if it translates to slower progress early on. We will have to wait for it to actually be in the game. It might even be a net increase. But this is a very welcome change.
When I'm wearing my 4 star crafting set, nothing I craft that isn't also 4 stars gives me spiritbond. The same with my 4 star gathering set meaning I need a basic set to actually get materia. This sounds like if I'm wearing 100 4 star gear everything that's also level 100 and not just 4 star 100 will increase the spiritbond on my gear which is a welcome change. But it will likely reduce the cost of materia as people will be able to get more of it easier.
I think this is a change just meant to normalize the rates between scrip and crafted gear, so those without pentameld don't miss out as much? Hopefully it doesn't disincentivize going for a spiritbonding setup, I was probably going to try doing this T-T
It could be! I really enjoy the Spiritbond Setup, but I would definitely understand if they swapped it up. It's a weird tech and late-game spiritbonding is strange right now.
The big gap between pentameld and scrip gear is the materia melds and not item level. If they really wanted to close that gap they could either give scrip gear a +spirit bond stat (which already exists in the game), or they could increase base spirit bond speed and reduce /eliminate the benefit from melds, or a number of other things. I think this is specifically meant to make it so that people who do regular gathering can continue to earn some spirit bond even late into an expansion. To put it into Endwalker terms: they want people using AR-Caen gathering gear and Indigator gear to get the same number of materia while gathering chontrite ore.
@@thevoxdeus I think (HOPE) it's to make it so that spiritbonding is great even in the later parts of an expansion, for even the most casual gatherer's. But it's not just the melds that help the spiritbonding, as a Pentamelded Indagator's set gets less Spiritbonding than a Pentamelded Ar-Caen gear when doing the Legendary Nodes. Overall, it's a system that probably deserves some updates, let's just hope it doesn't make it significantly harder.
There's actually a multitude of reasons that spirit bonding percentages increase, but for the purpose of how I interpret the patch, the biggest one is the "item level" difference between the gear and the item you're gathering. That makes the high ilevel gear worse to use to spiritbond, as the items we gather don't have as much of a difference.
What do you think the new fishing bait is for?
I'm hoping we can now prep mooches in advance but it could also just be something new.
@@Kilesa yessss! I've seen a few people say it could be a "moochable fish storing" system! That could be awesome!
Well, the german site literally sais bait-fish (Köderfisch). The same description is used in the mooch commandos.
as a (caster) fisher main, i think its perfect for prep ect.
that kinda makes big fish ect a way easier.
also i think its totaly broken atm.
I love not needing a low ilvl gearset
It’s pronounced ’leave quest’. That’s why the challenge log is called Making like a tree 😊
@@screamallyouwant DID I SAY IT WRONG AGAIN 😂
I've been trying to correct myself
Indeed
@@TenelenTheScrub lol i call it lev i can't change at this point i've tried

Swimbait is probably replacing mooching so you can go catch live bait (like people do IRL) and use them.

Yes, but, this note only mentions gatherers specifically.....
I hope they do something similar to crafters

It also removes the incentive to hang onto a low ilvl gathering set. Freeing up armory space is nice imo.
@@thevoxdeus That sounds .... interesting. I hope it's more materia than less.
why did I read Worchestershire instead of Wachumeqimeqi
I like not needing a new dark matter. I already have 11k stocked up through pvp wolf marks lol
Isn't it because higher ilvl spirit bonds slower than the base lower ilvl set

Spirit bonding has had some wacky calculations across the games history. A new method is ok I guess.
