- On October 11th , 2013, the Seminoles and Hurricanes renewed their rivalry in a matchup of top-10 squads. No.2 Miami's put on a dominant performance defensively and won a wet and nasty matchup versus No.5 FSU, 22-14. Miami's defense forced 5 turnovers including two interceptions by All-American defensive back Sean Taylor. 'Canes running back Jarrett Payton rushed for 97 yards and a score and quarterback Brock Berlin passed for 181 yards and a score. FSU quarterback Chris Rix passed for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns.
