First Alert says that it's called Alarm Latch. That means the unit has previously detected. The test button resets it. On many of their other units, such as their hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide alarms have the green LED flash the same way for Low Battery Latch, to indicate which unit needs replacement batteries.
The flashing green light on the brk 9120b is indicating a alarm memory, meaning that unit has initiated a alarm and is letting you know it was that unit that set off all the alarms, just press the button once briefly to reset the memory
Fun fact. On the kidde model 1276, the flashing green light after it has gone off means it's indicating an alarm memory. Just test it and it will turn off.
Thank you for your video!! I have the same kind of smoke detectors in my place and it only does one chirp at 10 pm then the alarm starts going off of 2 am lol saved me from waking up at 2am panicking
I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to respond. Forgive me, I'm a real estate professional, not a UA-camr so I'm not on here much. The average lifespan of a smoke detector is 10 years. It might be time for a new one. I had the same problem once and I just replaced the detector. Again, I'm so sorry for the late response..
I've so been there! It drives me crazy every time! I don't think I've ever had one of these things start chirping in the daytime! It's always in the middle of the night lol!

Fixed my problem, thanks
Who ever designed the battery slot is an idiot.
I am running into the issue just now. Hopefully this will fix it. Thanks.
It is not necessarily the battery because my light is blinking with a brand new battery.

My alarm started "chirping" at 6:30 am, and that was "no fun!" Woke me up from sound sleep.

Yes, it’s normal when its steady
Same problem
I changed the battery a month ago why is it bleeping n flashing green makes no sense
It means that it’s initiated an alarm. I looked at mine and the battery voltage was 9.9 volts
This very realistic. Even all the mess ups!
Thank you! I haven't watched this video in ages! I just did and it's so funny to me lol!
It's 2 am and I am here...the battery will be the death of me😤

I was always wondering what the green light was
Nowadays I walk my house periodically looking intensely for blinking green lights! I'm obsessed lol!
