I have a 2001 eclipse I have replaced the EGR valve the o2 sensor.. of course it still has to run thru all of its cycles but I be damned if it popped up with an egr valve code 401... THIS CAR IS GOING TO BE THE DEATH OF ME!!!! Slowly earning it's way to the junkyard for sure!!!!

Can you tell me please how to check minus - "ground" on this solenoid connector? Cuz + I check and its work, but - cable not show any sign of work. Is any maybe diagram or information where - "ground" cable go to computer under passenger seat?
Dude pleaseeeeee do one of taking off the intake manifold. I'm also sure I damaged my EGR tube while trying to take off my manifold. It definitely has a big dent in it from where the tools were trying to get the bolts out.
Will this fox a p0441 code? I think this maybe maybe solution to the issue I'm having. The car is running so rough and keeps low idling. So Manu exhaust codes are popping up as well
Hey! I have a 2003 Eclipse and I have been fighting this P0660 code. The description on the code says that the issue is the manifold intake solenoid valve. Would this be a similar replacement as to your car?

i have a 2001 eclipse 2.4L gs. i cant find the EGR valve. my check engine light came on an threw a code "po403. egr valve malfunction. i cant fined it on my car. any tips?? please and thanks.i looked behind the motor and on the throtlebody. cant find it.
I'm having the same problem finding it on 4 cyl 2001 eclipse. It's located in a different spot that the 6 cyl. It's not visible from the hood at all. Smh
my Eclipse (02 GT V6) has the same issue, and with me having tiny hands, I'll probably just replace the solenoid myself! But dude, RockAuto.com is cheaper with parts and you can search for what fits your vehicle. I bought my gas tank filler neck there, and I will probably buy everything else there as well, at least parts that I can personally fix. I'll more than likely buy my fender from eBay lol
Kris's garage code p0403 = "EGR transducer circuit open or shorted" ( your EGR solenoid is bad) This is the same code that made me decide to change mine. thank u for commenting it's going to help me make better videos in the future with more detail.

Fish Jackson there is these great video someone eles made on how to remove the intake. I'll share the link. tbh i hate doing it is a pain.

How did you change the EGR valve without taking the intake and half the motor apart? I have a 2000 eclipse gt having these problems.

Brian Kennelly there should be a small pipe or something coming off your exhaust manifold. look under it and all around it.

I have a 2001 mitsubishi montero sport, I can't seem to find the hose that connects to the bottom of that solenoid
