- This has been a pretty requested video by many 3g owners that want to replace the notorious cracked dashes and I figured I'd try my best to create a video on removing it. This is my first ever video so I apoligize if it didn't come out the best, if anyone has an tips feel free to share them down in the comments. I tried to not leave anything out and keep it detailed. If anyone would like a video on reinforcing the dash and or putting the dash back in or really any other videos leave it down in the comments. Another thing I would like to note is take your time removing your uncracked dash and try and have another set of hands, obviously my dash is already cracked so I didn't care about the one I pulled at all so kinda rushed it, but when I pulled my uncracked dash it took about 45 minutes. I do. It's currently tore apart for boost. Will be a video after of the setup aswell as the bag setup.
Me a my buddys did this with my 01 stratus. Never did hook up the AC vents in when we put the new one on. Taking one out for the first time in a junkyard while its cold and rainy and installing it without breaking it is a fucking art

It's Such a Fragile Dash and Hard to Replace .Me and A Mitsubishi Tech just Filled in the 2 Cracks Near the Radio with Black Plastic Epoxy using a Artist Brush. I give, you Kudos that Mitsubishi Plastic breaks like Eggshells. Taking apart my Door Panels was not that Bad those are Like Padded Soft Plastic 😎🚗
Good video you show where all bolts are and don't skip to where its in the vehicle and then poof its out.
Im stripping my car for one last shot of glory I loved this car and I hope I can just do a run on the quarter mile 🙏

My question would be how do you get to the bolts on the clock without a cracked dash
The screws? You pull off the shroud for the headunit then pull the cover for the clock forwards towards you and it pops off.
Damn only thing you didn’t show is hot to get the glove box out and of course I have everything out but the glove box, can’t find any bolts holding it in

How do you remove that right panel??? Mine doesn’t come off. The ont in the start. It refuses to come off

I was getting ready to do my Spyder. this will be my 3rd and hopefully my last time. I have 3 Eclipse's, I have replaced the dash in 2 of them, in you video you said fiberglass to reinforce??
That's what everyone is saying to do to help stop it from cracking, I also seen someone say using rhino liner may work too may even try that I'm not sure yet
@@taylorderby1862 I don’t know too much about fiberglass, so I hit Debo DJ/speaker guy/fiberglass expert, he told me leather wrapping would be a lot easier, and last longer. And it would take the heat. Originally I was going to carbon fiber vinyl wrap, it he told me carbon fiber vinyl wrap can’t take heat after the years it’ll get hard and start cracking itself

So I know it doesn’t really matter if you cut it, but if you had the steering wheel off already, why’d you cut it?
If you already have the steering wheel out, it’s much easier to just remove the turn signals like u said. They just clip in.
Cause I didn't care about the dash just did it to show others that would have the oem wheel on still
how much would it cost on average for someone to do it for you. I’m all about doing it my self, but this looks too complicated for me. I’ll buy the dash myself, but my current dash is literally falling apart like yours.

You can only get uncracked ones from another car mitsubishi quit making a lot of parts for theese sadly
