well one thing I can say about you Brock. is your a stand up man. you admitted your boo boo. and your going to make it right.. so No harm done. well done. !!
well said... if my bike was in getting worked on and it encountered damage but you told me right away and take care of it properly, no harm no foul in my book and I won't go full douchebag on ya, but try and fool me well that won't go well at all for anyone involved. LoL.... it's even amazing that he videoed the aftermath and went good with owning the incident. very stand up guy...
Nothing but mad respect for you showing us that from time to time we all make mistakes and none of us are perfect. You made it right and that's all anyone can ask. Bravo
Wow - how selfless of you - to man up and share your mistake - no matter how embarrassing - to save others from doing the same - hats off to you sir - thank you for sharing!
I've had your products on my zx14r Brock, i'm a big fan of you, your video's, and most importantly your products. Big props for making this video. Nobody in the business would admit fault, let alone film it. We're all human and it's good to see that even the greats make stupid mistakes sometimes. Cheers.
I nearly dropped my ZZR 1400 30 seconds after buying it. I was standing beside it and rolling it forward about 3 feet to put my license plate on it and as I brought it to a stop the kickstand rolled up. It didn't hit the ground, but i pulled a few muscles catching it.
This is why I have nothing but respect & admiration for Brock & anything his name is on ! Honesty, integrity & always putting in the hours ! For all you have done for the motorcycle community, you Sir; are allowed a mishap in my book ! & no one was hurt + if it hasn't already, it will prevent someone else from dropping a bike, probably a few people. T.y. for sharing that & everything else that you do Brock !!
Excellent video. You guys are great for showing your mistake. I have been down that road before myself but even worst. I forgot to put my kickstand down on my 750 turbo kaw. I stepped off and it leaned over on me and down we went. Luckily I slowed it down and it just scratched up the GPZ badge.
I almost dropped mine (ZX14R) yesterday putting it on my front and rear stands. I was so nervous. thankfully my son came over and helped me get it back down off the stands. that was my first time trying out my new stands.
Wow...... What a bugger that happened. But total admiration to you for the video as to do this it shows the world that your one of the most honest business to deal with. Guys I would take my bike to you anytime.👌🏍
And I'll still order my stuff from Brock all day long....Mistakes happen...fix em and move on . Lead, follow or gtfo!!! Brock is clearly a leader in the industry.
Although it may have been a costly mistake, at least you admitted it, and learned from it. A lot of people aren't like that nowadays. Thumbs up! Also, thumbs up as well to you since Brocks Performance is literally just up the street from where I live
I remember my first bike, a Z400 with the stock stand stock height, stock everything. That thing stood so upright that one day I got a flat, and when it was parked, it simply fell over from the tire being deflated. I couldnt believe how level it sat stock.
Some bikes do. Some riders Will accidentally upset the stance of the bike while parked simply by adjusting their suspension softer or firmer from the factory settings. That's why we offer adjustable side stands for people who want to lower their bikes as well as those who wish to raise it.
when i went down in nov 2019 it cost my insurance ALOt to fix my zx14r SE 2016. 3400USD in parts but got Zeus back like 2 weeks ago. was a lesson on how much it cost to repair these bikes
Good on ya dude... Best thing to do when you oops-fuck something is own it immediately.. Things go way better when you own your mistake right away. As a safety foreman, if you screw up and tell me right away before I have to find out from someone else hours or days after the incident (and I always find out) things won't be too bad at all.. first thing I'll say is thank you for owning it and notifying me quickly then we can work on fixing the problem. But if I find out from someone else and know you were trying to hide it, your gone.. skidded so fast it'll make your head spin. Too even video the aftermath shows you're a stand up guy.
yeh at least u face up to ur mistake ... a shop around where i live i was standing around waiting for idiots to find my part i ordered and i heard a loud bang and guy cussing so i ran over to see if he hurt and he was okay but 10min later dude asking his BOSS YES HIS BOSS where jb weld was becouse he going to use it for gluing a mirror together on a brand new yamaha r1, so after this i couldnt believe what i heard( manager calls customer saying bike is ready for pickup and didnt even say shit about mirror that has crack in it and is obviously rigged. wow some shops i wouldnt trust a huffy at but u brock are good guy..hope to meet u one day
Shit Happens... could've been worse...trust me. Class act for you to admit your fault yet alone filmed it. Says a lot about your character..👍 Something told me to wait before buying your "now" old adj kickstand. My swb Busa would lean farther over with the new Brock Stand. Now I just dont won't to spend another $140 + $40more for the newer style. But, I'll eventually get one sooner or later...
After seeing this video I will definitely bring my ZX-14R to you. For the simple fact that if something does happen you will take care of it. You come so highly recommended from 650ib and 5UP.. Can i possibly get a t-shirt that he's wearing in the video.
@herb williams iii - this bike also had an adjustable lowered kickstand... that was the problem, the standard, readily available version is not properly designed and won't adjust low enough with the bike slammed. This is what is on the bike now: www.brocksperformance.com/Billet-Adjustable-BrockSTAND-Black+I962764+C261.aspx
Please use our blue support button for order status as they know MUCH more than I do. A quick ask says we should have the drag style back in stock in the next week or two.
@@BrockDavidsongreat answer except if it was gravity alone it'd fall to the same side, because that is the side the bike is already leaning towards. How about a real answer now?
The kickstand that was on it didn't allow it to lean to the left it was basically standing straight up... There was no one around it in the room when it decided to fall the opposite way of the kickstand. So I would guess ghosts or gravity, but being the type of person I am I'm just going to stay with gravity.

@Derek Lane we all make mistakes, it's how we recover from them that shows what type of person we are. I have learned more from my failures over the years, than my successes - when you combine them all, we have a pretty good thing going here at Brock's Performance.
there is no way I'd fix that if it was my bike. doesn't look bad imo. but that's probably a customers bike I guess... Dang there goes your profit on that job and then some probably
@Muhammad Steinberg - It's primarily a problem with bikes that have been lowered as the lean angle changes. We adjust this angle with the length of the kickstand. The kickstand on this bike would not adjust down far enough (poor design) so it eventually fell over. With the new adjustable kickstand we used, this is no longer a problem: bit.ly/3DH3OOa
@@BrockDavidson I was attempting sarcastic humour...I've come outside and found whatever bike I owned at the time laying on it's side. Some sinking thru pavement on a hot day and two (78 kz1000A and 86 gsxr1100) from being stretched. Buying a gen3 within next 30days as soon as I figure out color scheme. Any recommendations for a full exhaust (alien head, short meg, penta-carbon). Racing days are pretty much over but still addicted to the sound.
Damn I'm glad I saw this because I'm getting ready to lower mine right now. I lowered my GSXR 1000 and didn't have any problem with the kickstand... 2 types of bikes. Ones that have fell over and ones that are gonna fall over.
very true, goes for riders too. But a bike 99% of the time will only fall over when there's a crowd staring right at you LoL...

To make u feel better brock i dropped my busa so many times on the right side its not even funny
I checked on the site and there is no kickstand option for older bikes. 01R6
Try eBay.

what made it fall? that wasn't clear
