@@TeamMooreMafia I discovered when the fault lights come on the ecu reverts to a third channel within the ecu. As such the power gets reduced. Did you install a power commander V, or did you alter the fuel settings within the ecu?
Great channel, the best Kwacker on the road, but you are driving me CRAZY with frustration on taking out those shims again..for God's sake use a magnet. Or at least a small pointed scre driver.Greetings from Ireland
Hey Chris I have a 2009 Zx14 what performance mods do you recommend? So far I have on a vodoo exhaust slipons which came with the bike when I bought it a few months ago.
Easy way to clear the code put the bike in 5th gear with bike off twist throttle all the way ( Full throttle) turn key on and acc switch on (do not start the motorcycles engine!!!) keep throttle held down 5 seconds?
@@TeamMooreMafia Only thing different from stock is mine was flashed by Ghul motors maybe give him a call but it definitely works on my bike I tripped the traction control sometimes when I did a burnout also when I removed the rear brake rotor I also lost power because when its in that mode it decreases the rev limit, also on the 2016's they use the speed sensor to assist with shift points, or something like that Don Guhl can break it down I'm sure. Is there any advice you can give me to keep me from trading this bus for an R1? I mean, yes it has power, but I love love LOVE corners......im sure you know by now that the 14 is not very fun in the corners. Please, for the love of everything holy, is there any advice you can give me? I'd like to get my ECU flashed, but I can't find anyone. Only upgrades I've done is: 10in extension, shorty (very short....4inches) exhaust, and short levers. Thats it.
If you love corners why would you ever extend the swingarm lmao. An ecu flash won't help either. Get a liter bike or he'll even a new zx6r aka 636 for tracking
How can you have a video saying the busa is the best drag bike but you buy a zx14? Was that a way to get your competition to buy the busa and u switch it up and buy the zx14
The busa is king when you go in the motor ! The ZX14R is king out of the box, The class Cris is running in is super stock, probably just flash, pipe, clutch mod, and lower it. The Busa will be 15 hp down stock for stock. 15 can cost a race, and even a championship !
Been watching your content for a ew months now, gotta keep it up. As for Brocks perf. Meh. Not really interested after seeing some of his content about parasitic drag. But, none the less, love your vids. I really like your dyno pull and tune videos.....as an edit, I read through the SS rules and regs, it does not not mention anything about a little spray.....;). Read it 3 time, what do you think? Is a little bend better than breaking?
nikolaiownz parasitic drag on the rolling assembly. He chamfers the pads so it doesn’t rub on the rotors causing drag (slowing the bike down). However he misguides on the process. Watch the video, it’s in Brock’s archive. Never mind, the video was taken down.
nikolaiownz I wouldn’t chamfer pads for less friction, that equals less braking power and uneven wear. The pad isn’t going to bend itself to the rotor to seat 100% on a 50% cut pad. He also didn’t tighten the axle and spun the wheel to show the less friction. For obvious reasons any wheel is going to spin faster on an loose assembly as opposed to a torqued to spec assembly. I mean, if you really wanted to reduce drag, why not just remove 1 caliper and 1 rotor assembly? It would yield a better result with less drag and rotational weight, however reducing stopping power as well.
After showing the dyno results, and before the race gas was added, the horsepower gain was seriously disappointing. I realize it hasn't been tuned yet (or flashed?), but all that money and time for the Brock's exhaust system only gave 6-7 hp? Is that to be expected?
What Chris got is actually pretty high, ive seen brocks systems only gain 3 hp over stock exhaust. Keep in mind his baseline he did was with slip ons which may flow slightly higher than stock mufflers so the 6 gain before tuning was against a more free flowing aftermarket muffler system. Surprisingly the zx14 has a decently flowing factory exhaust so gains will not be rediculous.. where the brocks really shines over stock is near rev limit where the stock system will start to fall off at the last 500 rpms and the brocks system doesent fall off at all.. Most importantly keep in mind is that was before tuning as you have stated.. we have no idea what happened to the air fuel ratio after the full exhaust was installed. If an air fuel ratio goes too far out of whack u can get less power than stock on some occasions so always base everything from an after tune standpoint.. too lean or too rich from an untuned state can make a bike also run slower with an aftermarket exhaust than it would run with stock components that have a near perfect air fuel ratio. Air fuel is everything. Not so much the parts itself. Expensive parts only give the ability to make more power. Its not automatically given just from bolting it on. Its all about the tune..
Doing my zx10r 2005 clutch I accidently didnt line up the pressure plate with the notch and took me 4 hours to figure out why my clutch wouldn't work 🤣
