Their song “burn the ships” found me randomly on my music feed at a very hard time when I was contemplating suicide. I then walked into a little church and a beautiful amazing woman sat next to me. We sang hymns ,listened to a great sermon and two years later we are now together. I got clean, now I work with horses and read the gospel every night

As a recovering alcoholic: my mom relates "burn the ships" to me and my ongoing battle. And then to hear the serenity prayer out of no where. I am struggling to find God, and fear that I never will believe in him. But I will keep listening.

Read you Bible and 🙏 pray!! I was a half- hearted Christian, but he showed me the error of my ways. I was on a trip with a friend and had an amazing experience. August 1, 2021, at Rocky Mountain Calvary in Colorado. It was hard to face my sins, but it has been an amazing journey !! I struggle to be a better person, and I really struggle with forgiveness. God's word will show you the way. I will be praying for you, be strong, stand tall, and believe 🙏 . You will find him. God bless!

I saw the movie on Wednesday at a pre-showing. It WRECKED me in the most beautiful way. Way to go, For King and Country. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
I'm not a big fan of their music (simply not my style) however these dudes have been blessed with talent, clearly. Their work has touched people, undoubtedly. And Rebecca St. James was my childhood role model. God has used them all.
After watching half of this interview my wife and I decided to go to this movie. Man, so very glad we did! The film was a good story, not preachy, and highlighted the challenges and power of moms, dads, kids, friends and family. I’m normally not moved by a show too much, but this one really hit the mark! Great job Smallbones!

Just saw it with my 15 year old son. He is a huge For King and Countey fan, I was a huge fan of Rebecca St. James back in the day. We both loved the movie! You know a movie is good when the audience claps and cheers at the end. Bring tissue though - we both cried through the whole thing!
I read "big tissue though" at first and thought it was the greatest pun ever. Now I'm sad.

Love this video! My parents have given up alot financially to have me and my ten siblings. I can tell you unequivocally, family is a blessing. We're not the richest people in money, but we are sooo blessed.

Hands down best concert I have ever been to. They played a small place in Punta Gorda in Fla. I’ve seen, BB King, Willie Nelson, Garth, Reba and Jimmy Buffet all were great concerts but none of those greats touched the performance they gave.

By far and away the best Christian band. And the best part is, even if you're not evenly into that genre, they still rock.
As a Canadian Christian I never heard of them before and now that I know of them I plan to follow their music 🎶 and listen to their songs 🎵 sadly I won't be able to see the movie UNSUNG HERO at the cinema because I am unable to get around health wise. But I will definitely watchout for the movie when it comes out on Blu-ray or on UA-cam. O. MY. GOODNESSS!! I was just in leaving the theater after watching Unsung Hero and this popped up on my fyp! This made my night! Ahh Michael, Joel, and Luke!!?!?! This was an amazing episode! And most definitely recommend watching Unsung Hero!
My respect for the Smallbones have just launched into the stratosphere. I remember listening to Rebecca St. James in the 90s and then these gentleman many years later. After watching their movie and hearing this interview, all I can say is wow. Praise God for stories like theirs.

Watched it and loved it! Though maybe not as theologically thought-provoking as Jesus Revolution, it did show the power of a praying family and how a Godly man really makes it through trials... By his family! The nice nod at Burn the Ships was really emotionally rewarding as well!
So cool to see you interview these guys. Of all the rot that exists in Christian music these guys are some of the good ones. I volunteered as stage crew at concert they performed at. They treated us so well and would speak to us nobodies when they came off stage before other stars and performers. I hope they have all the success in the world.

If you have never attended For King and country concert, you must! They're the best concert I've been to. Went to the Christmas show in 2017. It was amazing. They have so many drums.

Watched it yesterday with my parents after seeing this vid. Big fan of Michael Knowles and for King and Country, so I knew this film was going to be fantastic. It did not disappoint! Such an epic and moving story. May God be praised and continue to use faithful families like the Smallbones to bring His love and beauty and glory to the world!! A must-see, go watch with your families if you haven't already!
Saw these guys in Abbotsford, B.C. (Canada) a few years ago and was blown away! They love Jesus and they did not hold back, beautiful family men of God ❤

Saw For King and Country live a few years ago when they came to my college Lee University. Such a fantastic group!!!
They are also the sweetest people ever. A friend of mine helped out some of their concerts and her mom got to go back to age and talked to Joel & Luke and she told them that her daughter was graduating high school. They sent her a huge beautiful graduation package with the note and card it was so sweet. She still has what they sent her and she still talks about it to this day.
I’m Jewish and I love Christian movies than anything Hollywood has done in recent years! Because these movies focus on new storytelling, while Hollywood focuses on homogenized stories and characters!
Exactly just like during the Great depression we need to watch movies that inspire us to be better people better Christians and more helpful to our families and those around us, we haven't gotten that from Hollywood at least the last 10 to 15 years (with a few exceptions but mostly only the alternative Hollywood movies have been inspiring or thought-provoking or moving)
@@SCORPION89199 Hollywood is run by atheists and anti American producers! I haven’t really enjoyed Hollywood movies since they’re like pointless sequels, while indie movies with pro life themes are inspiring and thought provoking!
Love this duo!! I went to see them live with a friend not knowing who they were and now I go to every concert I can when they’re in town. Incredible experience I can’t wait to see the movie!

I saw For King and Country in KC Missouri Christmas 2022 with my grandchildren. I have to admit at my age it was kibd of loud. I took out my hearing aids, put kleenex in my ears and enjoy the concert so much.

Blows my mind that they are the brothers of Rebecca St. James. I loved her music so much in my late teens. Still love it really. When I watched the trailer it dawned on me that the film depicted Rebecca St. James. Everything about this film has blown my mind. Great interview!

This caught me off guard. I was a massive 4K&C fan when I was younger but don’t really keep up with them anymore. They do seem to be really great people with strong moral values.
I was an extra in Unsung Hero a year and a half ago. I’d honestly forgotten about it till a was at the cinema the other day and the trailer played. I’m barely visible in the trailer but it was really cool!
I've seen Rebecca and Luke and Joel a number of times. Always a moving concert that uplifts. Now, I see where it all got started. Families with a God center are the strength.

An arranged marriage where both parties are dedicated to making it work is 1000% better than 2 people who marry because they "love" each other and aren't 100% dedicated to making it work.

I actually liked the movie. It did a great job portraying their mom as the unsung hero. The one no one knew about, but she definitely kept the family going when times were tough.
