You are the best knitting instructor ever! Since I discovered your tutorials I have done so much more with my knitting. Kudos to your production staff...lighting, video perspective as if I am looking at my own work. Thank you so very much
Thank you, yet again! You are always my go-to source for knitting issues. You give excellent instructions and your videos are very professional and well-lit. And you have beautiful hands!
Thank you for using this color combo. The yellow swatches show stitch definition and the pink provides a good contrast. I could see the stitches well even on my phone's screen. That is not always the case when a darker yarn is used on the swatch.
Thank you for this tutorial. I've always struggled with learning to do seaming. The way you presented it & demonstrated it really helped this method of seaming to just click in my brain.
This is such a timely video! I'm making your Log Cabin Blanket pattern and will have PLENTY of bind off to bind off/cast on to cast on stitches to seam.
Thank you so much! I'm a beginner and not yet to the point of knitting with circular needles, but I've been getting requests from family for hats and gloves. I was wondering how to do it...thanks again!!
Thanks for this demonstration Stacey. Looks great. I am looking for the right kind of stitch to seam up a headband in a 1 x 1 rib. The pattern calls for whip stitch so I think I can see that mattress stitch won't work because my niece won't want a visible seam on the wrong side of her headband. Will store this stitch away for when I do need it.
How timely. I have just finished a side to side shell and have tried 3 different methods of seaming the sides - didn't really like any of them. I always check your videos on Thursday mornings and was so happy to see this technique. Just what I need. I am off to seam!! Thank you.
Stacy I just finished a reverse stocking knit stitch sweater and could not figure out how to join the shoulder seam. I looked on every UA-cam video I could find and yours was the first one that made sense. Thank you so much!
Very well demonstrated. Thanks so much. Have subscribed to your channel as I'm sure you will be a wealth of knitting information when I get stuck on something. Thank you.
Excellent video I always love your opener and your videos and explanations are excellent thank you your explanations are so great that even though I'm blind I can follow them and understand what I'm supposed to do thanks much!
Great video. Very clear. My question is, I have live stitches on a piece of scrap yarn at one end and cast on stitches at the other (its the arm of a cardigan knit flat). Do you suggest I bind off the live stitches and then seam the two, or can I seam live stitches to a cast on edge?
Would you be able to show how to seam reverse stocking stitch, specifically for setting in sleeves or just any type of seaming method? Ive looked all over the internet but cant find it anywhere.
Hi Staci! Would you? Could you do a video about the Norwegian Purl Technique? I would love to hear your feedback on tips, tweeks, because I dont think I'm doing it right. You are my Knitting Yoda Master after all. 😉
Hi! Thank you so much for your tutorials. I find them very helpful. I was wondering what you do when you are done seaming or even weaving in ends. Do you just cut the yarn and leave it loose or should you do some sort of knot? Thank you :)
Thanks for all of the great videos, you always make things so simple even when I feel overwhelmed! Totally off topic, but what do you do to have such healthy glowing skin?
Thank you, you're very sweet! I don't think I do anything all that special with my skin - just plenty of moisturizer and sunscreen. The studio lights go a long way in making my skin look nice. :)
i just love all your video's!! I also know that you love using wool yarn. What is the name the yarn your using in this video? You use this yarn a lot. Thanks and keep them video's coming!!!
Hey Stacy, this doesn't really have much to do with the video but I was wondering if you would ever used a singled plied yarn in the same project with a like 3 ply? Or is this some kind of taboo?
It really depends on the fiber types and the project - but the fact that one yarn has more plies shouldn't make too much of a difference. Just know that the single ply yarn is likely to "fuzz out" faster then multi-plied yarn, it will probably not age as nicely as the multi-plied yarn (again, depending on the project and how you're using them).
Hello, I have a question, however, not regarding this specific video, I am getting my very first complete set of knitting needles for my birthday and I have decided on Nova Platinas. In your professional opinion would you suggest the original Nova Platinas or the cuboid set? Thank you
You are the very best knitting teacher on the web, and that's with stiff competition!
I second this!!
THANK YOU. Spent 3 hrs trying to join squares till I found your tutorials, 4 sq's put together so far and it looks good.

This is such a timely video! I'm making your Log Cabin Blanket pattern and will have PLENTY of bind off to bind off/cast on to cast on stitches to seam.
OMG! 😮 I can't believe hoe easy that seaming technique looks! Can't wait to try it! Thank you!
I dont do this very often but i need to fir some baby garments im knitting. As ever, a great simple video. I love your straightforward instructions.

So well explained and easy to follow. Thank you!

Is the bind off edge, in a stockinette pattern, best to be stretchy bind off, or normal bind off, since it will next be seamed to the cast one row?
Yes i agree thanks for using a different color yarn to seam.
What cast on/bind off combo do you find best for seaming bind off to cast on?
You are excellent in your instructions. Thank you.
It was great my dear friend😘😘😘
Hi Stacey do you think you can do a tutorial on something called a fleegle heel in sock knitting. Thanks.
thank you!!!! i'm getting ready to sew together a new poncho pattern!
Love the new ending "never miss a stitch" graphic and music!
Could you show an example of one square turned 90 degrees, I would like to try making a blanket for my new nephew.

I want to know too!
@@DolceVitaGurl im looking for an answer as well :(
Thank you. I often like a piece, their tension is great but the sewing often is a problem. This is where I lack knowledge. Well, not any more 😉.
Great tutorial and explained so well. Thank you.
Thank you!!! I have been looking for a good seaming video from my Skappel sweater and this is a huge help ;-)
HELLO, WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE MATT THAT IS ON THE BOTTOM WITH MEASUREMENT, WHERE CAN I GET IT? THANK YOU!
It is a blocking board...they are difficult to find nowadays, but you can find blocking mats with measurements.
@@verypinkknits THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! AND I FEEL HONOR TO SEE YOUR REPLY, ALSO LOVE THE MUSIC YOUR VIDEOS. MARIA

I saw an tutorial from another knitter how to knit not sew kitchner stitch. Have you made a tutorial using this method that I may have missed?
How do you end the stitching? Just weave in the end?
Yes, you finish seams by weaving in the ends.
Still waiting for the video showing mattress stitch on cast off edge with garter edge 😉

They're both very nice, it's really just one you prefer to work with.
Thanks, Stacy. I somehow always manage to ruin things with my ugly seaming. This looks great!
