Hubby and I decided to treat ourselves out to one of those famous tepanyaki restaurants and we were so gung ho about it. We ordered and a few minutes later out pops the chef with our prepped food. He first cooked the beef and right then and there we both could sense that the chef was relatively new at his job but we trudged along and enjoyed the juicy morsel. Then came the fried rice... Well let me tell you, he sure showed us how to cook the fried rice! Rice was flying all over the place, on my husband, on me, on our plates and even on the floor! We tried to maintain composure throughout the ordeal and ate what was left of our fried rice. We thanked the chef and finished up and paid. Once we got into our car, we burst out laughing and promised never to go to that restaurant again! It was obvious the man or woman in charge thought it would be a great idea to send out his rookie chef to the first paying customer of the day. I know most Asian restaurants treat the fist customer of the day with abundance of rice signifying good fortune for the rest of the day. Apparently these guys did not know that little tidbit because now they shut down.

Usually, diced beef is in Teppan yaki garlic rice in Japan.

アジアでは鉄板で作る炒飯も珍しく無いしね。 まあ料理に正解は無いし楽しむのが一番だね。
インターコンチネンタル東京ベイ『匠』のガーリックライスとは、作り方、魅せ方、盛り付け方…全てがこちらの方が良いと思います。
『匠』のあれはバイトテロだろww ありえねーぐらいヘタクソだったもんな
鉄板焼きってステーキ肉みたいに平面的なものを焼くのにはいいのかもしれませんけど、
米のようなものを炒めるのには向いてない感じですね。
これなら素人が中華鍋で炒めてるほうが美味しく出来そう
くったことないんやろな。

あまり鉄板で作る意味がないよな感じがする、こういう作り方だったら鍋でチャーハンを作ったほうがいいと思う。
