Great vid! It crossed my mind how can smaller clubs get top quality jerseys like these, in small amounts? Do these major companies take on orders like that? Would be interesting to know more about. 😃🙏🏻
All of the Castelli Climbers' series jerseys are equally fantastic. The Climbers 3 jerseys keep me from bothering to try the Aero series. Although if I see a really great new color I'm sure I'll try. Some day.
The sublimation phase was fascinating, I didn't realise the colour was essentially a fancy transfer. I thought it was a dye in the fabric. Great video 👍
Had a crash while commuting with the bike and slipped several meters on my back, luckily for me I was wearing a backpack that protected me, if I had a pump there it would have been way worse.
It’s fun watching these guys become such nerds about things! The 6.0 Aero jersey is an amazing piece of kit. It’s definitely high end with the high end price. I must be a nerd also because I have several of the 6.0 jerseys
The nerd in me is overjoyed at highly specific tech/history vidios like this one :D it would have been funny if Ollie pulled a Tom Scott impression when talking about zippers
Fantastic and insightful report yet again by Ollie😊👍 - keep them coming! Castillo kit is the go-to manufacturer for best mix of performance/value IMO. To clarify a lot of comments however - it ain't handmade in Italy....this site is the HQ/R&D facility. All the kit us minions use is mass produced in Moldova and Bosnia & Herzegovina currently. The early Aero 2.0 Ollie mentioned was factory produced in Hungary (still got one 👍). Doesn't detract from quality or performance but explains the price difference between Castelli and Assos I think (castelli every time even if cost neutral😁)
Thank you for the video, I looked into Castelli when they became GCN's partner and now pretty much all my cycling clothing is from them and I am super happy.

Wow. Thanks for this video. What a treat to see all those jerseys. In the mean time, I’ll keep on dreaming that I can fit into one of those aero jerseys.

@@shainexxxsescrimshaw7605 GCN prices are a little excessive, but to be fair they are caught between a rock and a hard place. Their "core/fan" kit is pretty damn good and reasonably priced.
Pretty interesting- for a 15 min Castelli/GCN commercial. Regardless, for the money, the GCN kit I can get on Zwift is a better deal! I rarely buy, for top dollar none the less, any article of clothing where the primary purpose seems to be me paying to be a walking (cycling) advertisement for the brand!
I’ve got a fair few items of Castelli clothing...why does none of it say made it Italy? I’ve just looked at my ROS perfetto jersey and it says made in Romania! Is the fabric made there and then finished off in Italy or is this factory just for the elite teams stuff?
What about the gravitator. It's a tiny black hole that contracts space in front of the bike and a white hole in the back that expands space behind it....
Did you see the brand signs at the start of this vlog? Are Castelli, Sportful and Karpos all made by the same manufacturer? Never heard of Karpos before.

It's quite usual that a company is manufacturing products in different quality levels and selling them with a different name, maybe even made overseas and only design and QC at the headquarters.
zippers from YKK, and sewing machines from JUKI, both Japanese companies. Hey, if it's Japanese, I trust its quality. Castelli stuff is nice, but I also have problems with the sizing... and price, at least for the non-racing non-pro stuff. Maybe I should get one of those GCN jerseys.
I wish you guys has an option of dhl or fedex delivery. 12 pounds will be received by my local post that is a headache that I do not want to deal with.
the zip was lighter yet stiffer, faster as it has less rolling resistance, more aero n better handling in crosswi....im sorry. thought im in the wheel section;p
Is all that printed paper single use, or can one printer "back" do several jersey backs? Can that printed paper be recycled, or is this another hidden carbon footprint of cycling?
The print can be used multiple times, how many times depends on the design and the equipment used. The home/diy printers you get 1-3 prints depending on the design but with the industrial stuff its many times more, Just look how slow that printer is, if they had to print a new sheet for every couple of jerseys it wouldn't be cost or time effective. It also doesn't put loads of toxic dyes into the water table either.
