This was really interesting. I've always been good with my money so lots of these are things I already do but I know from being unemployed recently and living on a super small budget that I can spend less, especially as I still had a good social life, I was just more creative!
I’ve just started a sipp with vanguard, plan is to draw down an annual sum of approx 3.6k, I’m 58 now and plan to access the above when I’m 59, you says don’t touch for five years tops, is this a bad idea and would I be better going for an annuity? Thanks.
Have you been able to come along to our course yet? Thank you so much for your question. You can invest your money into a Vanguard sipp and then start to live off 4% of it straight away. Have you ever heard of or learn about the 4% rule?
@@rebeldonegans I’ve signed up for your course and thank you for that, hoping will get time to attend as I’m moving house tomorrow and have loads to do. I’ve heard of 4% rule but not familiar at all with the concept, don’t think I need to access the vanguard sipp just now and now looking to hold that in a different fund from the trf 2025 I chose when opening the sipp, such as global all cap ftse, but I need to know and watch what I’m doing as don’t want to make a loss. Thanks you two.
That is awesome news. I think the best place to start would be watch the video are you ready to invest and if he or she is then start at week 6 of the course which is investing! Does that help?
