This is the first person that I find a tutorial from where they actually show you step by step on how to pull the panels. Thank you! The hardest part of doing this is the fear of pulling out the panels and seeing some else do it gives me peace of mind when I do it myself. Thanks again !
This car cam video was excellent for many reasons. First, the quality of the video and audio are very clear, no out-of-focus shots or garbled narrative. Secondly, the narrator gives constant and detailed instructions on every step right down to individual screws and clips, especially needed for that more difficult back camera routing step. The detailed comments on the fuse box step was also a great help. Every necessary step was well covered. Trying to install this device was initially intimidating and confusing, but after watching his video several times, I had confidence I could do the job myself and save the install cost-twice the price of the car cam unit itself-of a shop install. I don't usually comment on UA-cam videos but this one was over the top professional. Great job!
Took me about an hour to do. Longest part and most difficult is getting the wire through the tubing but overall this was the most thorough how to video. Thanks!
Than you for the help. I did not hard wire mine but I hooked the front and rear Viofo Pro Duo using your video. However that stage at 27:27 gives me PTSD now. I ended up using a long, thin bit of metal to hold the rubber and a piece of string to get my cable through and it had a chunky mini usb head too.
Hey thank you so much for this awesome step by step tutorial. Im kind of scared of doing any work in a car but I was able to install a dash cam in my wife's car!
Great video. Wish I saw this when I originally installed my front and rear dashcam. Used the rear dash cam instructions in this video to clean up my rear cam wiring
I used this to wire my rear cam as I am okay with using the cigarette lighter for the front. Well…kind of. I watched it first, then went and tried to wire it. I stupidly tried to route the cable through the smaller conduit before I realized my mistake an hour later. Out of frustration, I ripped the camera cable out and ended up ruining it (still hoping I didn’t damage the existing cables in the smaller conduit as I am not sure what they go to). I’m waiting for a new cable to be delivered so I can run it through the wider conduit 😅
So i followed this. I'm at the point where my car is halfway burned down. What's the next step? No really though thank you so much for this. Saved me couple hundred euros for installation. Honestly the hardest part for me was to get it through the rubber tube at the rear. I used a different dashcam and the wire was super stiff.
Hi, such a great video. Are you really sure, that mounting the camera directly in the front of the lenses does not affect their function? In Toyota service they do not want to fix the camera there, saying there would be problem...
Why did you place a 10 amp on a 7.5 amp original fog light for the constant? Is that okay? Please explain. I've heard others say that you want to put less or equal but nothing more
Aren't you not blocking the airbags @25.21? I am installing a cam soon on my RAV4 and people were suggesting to remove all plastic and route the wire behind the airbags or route it in the headliner.
If it's the same as the corolla cross, I think it would line up along the side of the ceiling from around the C pillar all the way to the A pillar which he opened.
I noticed you took extra care to route the front where dash cam to avoid the driver A-pillar air bag, but for the rear seat airbag you just tucked the rear dash cam wire inside the trim, potentially blocking this airbag. Will hiding the rear dash cam wire at the top rear seat panel have the chance to block said rear air bag in that area?
The rear camera wire runs parallel to where the rear curtain bag deploys, so it shouldn't be obstructing it at all. In front it would run across where the bag deploys, which is why I try to route it behind.
Merhaba. Toyota Corolla Dream MultidriveS kullanıyorum. Araç içi kamera olarak IROAD X10'u tavsiye eder misiniz? Ekranı olan VANTRUE N5 mi? Ekranı olmayan IROAD X10 mu? Hangisini tavsiye edersiniz? Araç içi kamera da Kore markaları daha mı iyi? Marka olarak başka bir tavsiyeniz var mı?
will in rav4 you don't need this complicated way to connect the fusible, just there two empty place for the fusibles of camera just look in plan fusible
Dashcams draw off of the 12V system, not the hybrid battery system, so it's the same as the non-hybrid. If you're not using parking mode there's not really much risk in hardwiring, and if you are, make sure you have something that will cut the camera off so it can't drain the 12V battery.
I see.. thanks for your reply. I have tried to pull a little bit the top part of Pillar A, I just want to try if it is easy to re-install it as in your video. I am not confident to do like you did, pushing back the clip with finger and pull with plier. And after i loosen and refit the pillar, there is now a bit gap on the spot where I pulled the pillar.. do i need to pull the pillar completely and refit the clip back?
Hey offtopic in terms of this video, but with your AP BBK kit on your M2, how obvious/annoying is the rattle with antirattle clips installed when street driving? And I guess in addition to that question, with you having SPL parts installed, how much NVH do those add to street driving?
There's no brake pad rattle on the street if the anti rattle clips are installed. The SPL parts really didn't really add any NVH. None from the LCA since those were both ball joints already on the OE arm. The tension strut ball joint added a subtle amount, but blends with the background.
Nope. I made sure the camera is clear of any frontal sensors of the vehicle (if you looked at the camera and sensors from outside the front of the vehicle you'd see it's below).

Thanks for the kind words! I hope your install went/goes well!
This is the most complete dash cam video I've seen. Kudos!!
Took me about an hour to do. Longest part and most difficult is getting the wire through the tubing but overall this was the most thorough how to video. Thanks!
Congrats! Glad you found it helpful.
thought i was going to have to at least partially lower the headliner until I watched this how-to, you saved hours of my life man, thank you so much
Best tutorial I’ve found so far. Will be using it for a Lexus NX install which should be similar.
Finally found a video for a legit step by step guide to the hardwire install! Great video thanks!!
Great photography and narration makes this a very thorough tutorial. Thank you.
Than you for the help. I did not hard wire mine but I hooked the front and rear Viofo Pro Duo using your video. However that stage at 27:27 gives me PTSD now. The cable routing to the rear camera is very clear, makes me confident I can do it myself. Thank you very much.
This is the best I have ever watched. Thanks.
Hey thank you so much for this awesome step by step tutorial. Im kind of scared of doing any work in a car but I was able to install a dash cam in my wife's car!
Thanks for this tutorial. You really helped me with wiring the rear camera through the grommet.
The video and audio are good. It save us a lot of time to install dash cam. Thank you
Great video. Wish I saw this when I originally installed my front and rear dashcam. Used the rear dash cam instructions in this video to clean up my rear cam wiring
Glad it helped!
Thank you very much for making this video! Helped me a ton!
Excellent video. You've explained things in great detail.
Great video. You even teach how the clips work on the panels.
This needs millions of views!!!
Excellent video... And you have a new subscriber because of it. Thanks very much for the info!
Thanks!
Excellent tutoriel ❤ merci beaucoup
Wow, thank god infoind your tutorial!!❤
Excellent video, thank you!
Excellent presentation!
Thanks for the detailed video.

Thanks man!

thank you for that tutorial - it is VERY good
Is there a reason why you didn't use the open slots?
Hi, such a great video. Are you really sure, that mounting the camera directly in the front of the lenses does not affect their function? In Toyota service they do not want to fix the camera there, saying there would be problem...
Great detail step by step. Could the rear camera have gone to the bottom of the window? Seems like would allow better view with the rear view mirror.
Yes, it could be routed that way. I like having a bit better view for the camera high up.
Great Video!
Why did you place a 10 amp on a 7.5 amp original fog light for the constant? Is that okay? Please explain. I've heard others say that you want to put less or equal but nothing more
no reply
The 10 amp is for dashcam. The 7.5 stays with the fog light circuit.
Great video. What about this being a hybrid and draining the battery when in parking mode?
Aren't you not blocking the airbags @25.21? I am installing a cam soon on my RAV4 and people were suggesting to remove all plastic and route the wire behind the airbags or route it in the headliner.
If it's the same as the corolla cross, I think it would line up along the side of the ceiling from around the C pillar all the way to the A pillar which he opened.
Did you ever find an answer to this?
Thanks for the helpful video i installed my cam in about an hour because of your video!
Thanks a bunch !!

If you're doing this on a RHD car, the fusebox is in the passenger footwell.
will in rav4 you don't need this complicated way to connect the fusible, just there two empty place for the fusibles of camera just look in plan fusible
What kind of lubricant is safe for the reardash wire run through the rubber garment?
Thanks!
Just ask if we hard wire to hybrids it could be drain the battery? Please tell me so I can do hard wire as well at the moment I use cigarette 1 thanks
Dashcams draw off of the 12V system, not the hybrid battery system, so it's the same as the non-hybrid. If you're not using parking mode there's not really much risk in hardwiring, and if you are, make sure you have something that will cut the camera off so it can't drain the 12V battery.
@@FaRKle0079 thanks for the Info
Do you still have your 3 year warranty on your RAV4?
Do you need to disconnect the battery before hardwiring?
Nope, no need to.

Got a quick question, does the dash cam record audio as well?
Yes, this dashcam records audio too. Most of them do and will have an option in the settings if you'd like to disable that.
Does that position affect the radar cruise control?
Nope. I made sure the camera is clear of any frontal sensors of the vehicle (if you looked at the camera and sensors from outside the front of the vehicle you'd see it's below).
Should have watched this before I tore the a pillar cover for my Lexus…
Is it loop
