Having been a cop, there have been many times where trusting my instincts have saved my life, quite literally. I have an ex girlfriend who told me I should trust that intuition at work, but it was wrong to do so in our personal lives. I had just confided in her that it felt like she was involved with someone else. Of course, she denied it. Shortly after that, I caught her in bed with him and ended “us” on the spot. NEVER ignore your gut instincts! The flow of energy cannot lie.😮

I have this thing of disliking some people at first sight. As a non-religious person, I thought that was odd and baseless so, as an emerging entrepreneur, I tamed that gut feeling and started to allow such people into my life and my business until I got fcked in the worst way over and over by the said people. Looking back, I realize there is a reason for my distaste and I am currently never going to let such people in my vicinity ever again.

Intuition is a tough concept for most people.
Basically, if you're feeling unsettled about a situation, with those quiet nagging doubts, PAY ATTENTION TO THAT.
If you're feeling like you need to do deeper digging before taking a business or personal relationship to the next level, PAY ATTENTION TO THAT.
Good Intuition isn't about a feeling that falls out of the sky and tells you to suddenly move across the country to invest in something you know nothing about. A charming salesman or a smooth operating woman knows how to evoke that in you.
Intuition is about knowing when something is off, and paying attention to that.

This is ironic, because it was my own mother who taught me to trust my instincts and gut, from a very early age.
My father just reinforced this over my teenage years, every time I made a bonehead decision that was in stark contrast to my gut instincts - he'd walk me back logically through my thinking, and my bad decisions were staring me right in the face!
I've been listening to it ever since.

    • @PriusTurbo

Intuition can be confused with fear and cause people to not take action, but couldn't you say that intuition served you well when you took those risks? Why did you do them if you think everything was telling you not to? I'm sure if you dug deeper you might find that your intuition was telling you to do them despite being afraid. I've avoided a few mistakes in starting businesses that in hindsight were terrible ideas and to others it may look fear driven but I believe it was intuition.

@@PriusTurbo Nah cause my “intuition” was screaming no to me. It’s human nature not to rock the boat and stay the same. I have to remind myself every time I get too comfortable that my body is going to reject change. I had a job that was super easy, making around 60k and my “intuition” was screaming at me to stay there because it’s more long term stable than anything. - I put in my 2 weeks, felt nasty, started new job, felt nasty too. Almost 2 years later making over 90k base (over 100k if you count bonuses) and I’m super happy I didn’t listen to my “intuition”
I can give a relationship example too. My current gf is divorced, she also has a tattoo of some initials on her wrist (that she says she’s going to remove). Everything else is good, very attractive etc but those red flags were eating at me. - I decided to give her a chance anyway, and it’s legit like dating a wife. She helps out with everything, offers to pay for everything (I don’t make her), and I’ve never been with someone who is so genuinely attracted to me to where it takes no effort to get her 💦
Maybe I’ll lose my job soon and find out she’s a crazy mf. If that happens I’ll say my intuition was right. But if it doesn’t, then it was wrong!

Every right to feel how you feel. But having a one size fits all attitude to people from non westerm countries seems a bit simple minded. Your opinion should be maleable, not set in stone. Its fine if your a bit wary at first, but if you just totally stay clear of such people or have a permenant opinion regardless of how that individual behaves then you are indeed racist. Everyone is an individual with different upbringing.... just because youve had a bad exp, shouldnt mean that if someone demonstrates good character - you dismiss that first hand exp of the individual because you think you know something aboit people who you believe are related to him. There are many british people that are trash, if i met them before meeting a good british person should i now be dismissive of the good because i had some bad experience? Thats simple minded racism not intelligence. Its perfectly fine to be wary at a glance but you need to factor in new information of that particular individual then update your firat impression as you see fit.

At the end, the statement that the woman was pre-warned is correct. And often they will say that's bullying and threatening. If they say that but then later agree, you have to watch for them later on going back and saying you bullied and threatened. At that point at the very latest, I think you must use your intuition.

It is a good thing to step back, and try to look at your situation from the outside, and look at the totality of the situation. In my opinion, men can be awful at taking good advice. If you have a good circle of friends, you can ask them their opinion, or you can be cool about taking it into consideration, if they offer you good advice that comes from a good place. You don’t have to take their advice, but you should take it into consideration.

The problem with women is when you like the girl your more likely to tolerate shit you shouldn’t. It’s like they cast a spell on you. You have to understand she’s not the one it’s just your turn and there will be others.

Thanks for your honesty. Hope others can learn from your stories, instead of being cocky and thinking they are above this happening to them. It can save them a world of hurt, if they do. You'd love my story, of face-planting in life after pushing past the warning alarms, because I thought I had to do the 'manly' thing (what society dictated as 'stepping up').

Its best to say no to everyone until they prove they are worth it. No one is worth it till they prove it. Everything less is just horseplay to nowhere land.
I'd rather be heading toward my bright future than getting derailed by some unknown delusion.

    Rich,
Are you able to do a podcast around the rules of firing staff without getting sued for unfair dismissal and end up paying a hefty compensation package to the ex employee.
Or is firing like divorce? Getting rid of unwanted baggage may cost you.

If you are the employer ….There are almost an unlimited number of ways to release an employee - including those with contracts. You just have to be focused and deliberate, use the services of a good employment attorney (NOT HR) and build the case. When I’ve had to do this, I’ve used outside council to protect privilege - you can’t do that with internal HR. You have to build a case - and move quickly once the case is in place. Not something you want to be expert in - I’d rather build than cut - but sometimes I’m you have to make the cuts.

Hahaha, the wrong woman is not worth chasing.
But the biggest mistake you can make as a guy, is NOT chasing a good woman…
A REAL MAN should still chase the RIGHT WOMAN.💯
Cos since truly good women are a rarity, you WILL LOSE big time, if you follow bad advice of these fake influencers and not chase a really good woman, just to let her slip away into the arms of a better Man!
Men, be wise…don’t blindly follow false gurus!
You are not the prize guys.
    GREAT WOMEN ARE the prize.

There's a reason You can never "Individually" tame Intuition. In part because it's maturation practically demands being matched with the essence of Wisdom that is also "Hopefully" considered contained in others. There's a reason why Wisdom and Mysteries always seem to clash as if eternal enemies. It's all about the nature of the seed within in any Type of Fruit that multiplies or shrivels on the Vine. Seedless fruit produces what? The very presentation of Nature is brimming over with Prime and Primal examples. Relating to them (in terms of agreement) is where intuition begins to Serve You or NOT. Especially when the assist of Instincts beckons to inform You of the Nature of "Value" in any "Thing". Undefined People in general truly are symbols of a yet to be defined "Stasis". More specifically when they're Given more "Credit" than all other THINGS in the Grandiose Presentation of the "Nature of Things". Trying to Make "Sense' of it All is where the fatigue of Personal desires become a distraction. Especially under the Terms of a type of Pro-creation that also works "For You".
