McDonalds is a REAL ESTATE company, that is their core business and where the record profits are coming from, and not from their food business. This needs to be clarified.
It's an important point. When you hear the "McDonald's" is reaping record profits, that does not reflect what the guy who operates your local franchise is earning.
Franchises are a parasite on anyone who takes a chance at buying into one. They charge you upfront for the initial buy in and then you have to pay again and again. They also charge you on every single food item that comes from corporate. They even make money on renovations they force you to do constantly. If that was not enough they make money again on fines they hand out if you don't meet their store specs. There are other grifts to juice you as well. The franchise does not need you to make good money, they just need to you make enough money that you'll keep paying them to own a business.
@@Tim_the_Enchanter Exactly, because at the end of the day, McDonald's collects rent from the franchise owner even when they have a less than profitable month. However, if enough franchise owners go belly up, McDonald's properties will have a lot less value effecting their so called record profits. Frankly, it's just a matter of time.

This just looks like they're copying what Wendy's has been doing for years now.
Only Wendy's $5 biggie bag is better quality food.
And mcdonald's will do it for 4 weeks lol
And their hamburger patty and the bun are now smaller, which they have denied over and over again. What does that mean, that we are all imagining that their hamburger is smaller than it used to be?
Best thing ever is fast food costs skyrocketing. This might finally force people into spending that same dough on real food.
McDonald’s is ripping you off and killing you at the same time! 🗑️
Yup, it’s literal poison. It’s not even real meat. They are mixing fake meat with real meat and people are eating it up…
They can suck my McNugs.
Let's say a business buys a product to sell ....
It cost 10.00 and they mark it up 5.00 to 15.00
Lets say that product goes up to 12.00. the company keeps its margin and adds 6.00 making it 18.00. therefore they make more profit on each one sold. They benefit when things go up.... To a point. When the product goes to high then the amount of sold units goes down. Effecting sales then profits... Prices won't go down until ya stop buying the crap! Period!

I'll take my business to Chick-fil-A. Good food, great service, the ice cream machine actually works, and every time they make a sale, a leftist-liberal cries.
and its actually cheaper. I noticed that a few months ago
Yeap and they close on Sundays so their employees can have a day of rest. But mostly I just like carrying the cups around to create liberal tears. Cuz Murica!
They are just as bad if not worse.. look at their ingredients

@@Minecraft-gw1jv You missed the point. The point is that Chick-fil-A is cheaper and tastier than McDonald's, not healthier. You're not going to healthy food regardless of what fast food place you go to, so if you're going to get some, you can get better stuff for cheaper than McD's.
There couldn't be corporate greed without public stupidity.
Agree but our government is pushing the WEF agenda along with these major FF who are also members of the WEF.
It's unbelievable that people need to be taught that they can cook their own food instead of buying McDonald's.

A 'special stunt' meal which boiled down to a medium menu for the price of..... a medium menu.

I'm just done, in general, of billion dollar companies thinking they can just give us less and charge us more with EVERYTHING. Sony, Microsoft, Amazon , Netflix all of them. As if their profits weren't public information. They give us the middle-finger and expect us to thank them for it.
At this point, all meals should be labeled The Depression Meal.
For the price of a family outing at McDonald's you can buy a whole packer brisket and sides at WalMart and eat like kings for a week.
Billions in profit doesn’t mean anything when McDonalds is 52.72 Billion in debt.
Oh, great: The Depression Meal. Rushing right out the door for that...

Having worked at a McDonald’s for 5 years, every meal was an unhappy meal
The big problem with McDonalds prices is way too many adults trying to turn entry level teenager jobs into a career.
McDonald's is franchise owned.
The McDonald's corporation sell real estate and rights to sell burgers
And that's why they haven't been hit quite as hard as franchisees. The corporation always gets their buck unless people stop becoming franchise owners.
Yep. Retail price if high as franchisee has to pay rent, advertising, franchise fee, supplies bought from McDonald' official suppliers, plus utilities, salaries, business taxes, insurance, and several other costs and fees associated with the business. Need those high prices to the franchise owner can make a few bucks at the end of the month.
You have to buy all of your food and supplies from McDonald’s too
I think they RENT their real estate, not sell it. Franchisees are tenants, not land owners.
@@worms919 Yes. They pay rent to McDees plus franchise fees and all business expenses. McDees is just one big landlord.
They don't seem to understand that, if it's not dirt cheap, there is no reason to go there....

Exactly. Even in 2024 I can get better food at a mom and pop restaurant for the same money!
Clearly there’s a mass of sheeple that feel different, cause they’re still turning a profit by this point.
_It's garbage for desperate people._
Funny. It never used to be. It used to be sold on speed, consistency, and cleanliness.
Guess there's not a lot of room left to cut costs when you go as far downmarket as McDs has though.
@jeffy1862 McDonald's don't make their profit from food sales. They are primarily a property business. It's the franchise owners that suffer from lower food sales.
Clearly all is not well there... or they wouldn't be talking about how to win back customers.
I remember when the "extra value meals " started. If I remember correctly, it's was $3.99 for a Big Mac meals. Now, it's over $10.00. Ridiculous.
It’s a $5 biggie bag from Wendy’s but they’re like 5 years behind
If they are getting rid of the free refill, then bring back the any size for a $1
I wonder how much healthier Americans are becoming by eating less overpriced fast food garbage 🤔
Not much. Half the food in the grocery store is effectively slow poison that is banned in many countries.
You're assuming they will stop eating it. Americans are way to lazy to cook, yes they will complain but they will still buy it and Mac Donalds knows it. Yes they may get 10% less customers but profits per customers increased by 100% so who cares.
I don’t think many people are eating less fast food. I think they’re just complaining but still eating the stuff. All the fast food places I pass every day seem to be packed. Sad.

The 5 dollar deal isn't even a good deal! Boycott McDonald's!
McDonald's is exactly what is wrong with the US, overcharge for a product that's garbage and expect people to pay for it.
Shop, cook at home with your family and save America.
What most people don't realize is that McDonalds makes way more money from it's Real Estate holdings than it does on all it's food combined.
True but their holdings are the stores that they lease to their restaurants. People stop going to eat at the restaurants eventually the franchise owners won't be able to pay the rent and fees and then just say screw it and close.
It's a delayed hit to corporate but they'll feel the pain in a year or so.

Somebody on TikTok complained about the thickness of the Big Mac patties. She said they were no thicker than the pickles. A streamer (Asmongold) purchased three of them and showed the sizes. That was 6 patties and yes, they were all about the same thickness as the pickles.
You could SEE through the patties. Beef lace. It was probably the absolute minimum amount of meat required to create a 3" patty. The pickles were **noticeably** thicker.
It's been rumored that the meat of missing people ends up in those patties. I don't know if it's true, but I'm not taking any chances.

@@Tim_the_Enchanter Not its not. The fact remains, you, as a customer, are getting gouged on food prices. Focus on that, everything else is a distraction.
