6:05 “it’s time for Wally to get some spotlight” personally I’ve NEVER understood your reasoning for having Wally over Barry when we didn’t get a GOOD Barry Allen first, give us a GOOD Barry before they EVER do anything with Wally just saying…
@@TheBlackLion001 yea I’m talking the big screen, but if you wanna talk about the show might’ve been you or a different channel saying that Grant was good but he wasn’t FULLY Barry Allen they gave him a lot (at least in the first few seasons) of Wally characteristics and stuff like making Barry date Linda which never happens in the comics, Barry has had “flings” with both Black Canary and Zatanna but the only person he’s actually dated was Iris, so what I’m saying is give us a Barry Allen who is 100% Barry Allen and not a combination of him and a different character, that’s all I’m trying to say I’m not trying to correct you or anything
Because Barry has been overused and his stories have been done to death and Barry has been the center of flash media for a decade also Wally is a more interesting character
@@Isaacisaperson4677 what does “his stories have been done to death” have ANYTHING to do with his characterization, like not tryna sound disrespectful but use common sense what you said literally has NOTHING to do with and you’re clearly not acknowledging what I said whatsoever

Solid castings my dude! Personally I just want to see either one of these 2 founding members for the dcu justice league: Alex Ross’s og 7 justice league or DCAU justice league
Dude, these castings are phenomenal. Major pops to you for sticking with comic accuracy. Sam Witwer as Batman is something I hadn't thought of but would be absolutely amazing. And Charles Parnell would be perfect as Martian Manhunter. Jon Jones is one of my all time favorite characters and the only casting that has gotten him right imo, was Pil Morris in Smallville.
Sam Witwer would DEFINITELY be a good Batman. He's so good at understanding characters. He could also bring a lot of emotional expression to a usually stoic face.
So I actually fit the mold for Wally west almost perfectly aside from age Im 17 can someone help me try and get ahold of James Gunn or one of the casting directors please? I would love to get a chance at auditioning for my favorite dc character 🙏
I actually think Alan Ritchson would be a perfect aquaman, he played him before but he could really pull of that badass version while still having some comedic chops
Here's my hopes for the ages of some of the un-casted Justice League members mentioned in the video based on how old the actors would be now: Batman: Mid 30s. I'm predicting Brave and the Bold coming out in 2027 at the earliest, so my Bruce would be in his late 30s around the time he meets Damian and Damian becomes Robin. I think Batman debuting in his mid 20s and meeting Damian in his late 30s gives enough time for all the robins to debut. Dick becomes Robin when Bruce is in his mid 20s, Jason becomes Robin and dies when Bruce is in his early 30s, Tim becomes Robin when Bruce is in his mid 30s, Stephanie briefly becomes Robin when Bruce is in his late 30s, and Damian becomes Robin when Bruce is in his late 30s. This would give Dick and Tim 5 year long careers as Robin, Jason 1-4 years as Robin depending on how much they want to extend his time as Robin, and Steph gets to have a brief time as Robin as well, that all feels right to me. It also makes him about 2-5 years older than Superman which I think makes sense. Wonder Woman: Late 20s. I like her being the youngest of the trinity and debuting a couple years after the others since she did debut 3 years after Superman and 2 years after Batman in real life and I like the DCAU making her new the Man's World when she joins the Justice League which certainly works for a younger character. And if they want to go the route of Wonder Woman not aging then casting a younger actress will make it easier for them to make it seem like she's not aging Flash (Barry Allen): Early 40s. If Wally is going to be set up as the new Flash, it would make sense that Wally would likely be in their early to mid 20s and I imagine Barry being around 15-20 years older than Wally, so Early 40s makes sense for me. Flash (Wally West): Early-Mid 20s. This to me makes the most sense if Wally is just now becoming The Flash and if Wally has been the Flash for a little bit at this point. I don't imagine Wally still going by the name Kid Flash past the age of 24, so he really has to become The Flash sometime before the age of 24. This is even easier if Barry is already dead or retired in this universe because it allows Wally to have become The Flash earlier and we don't have to deal with a Kid Flash in his mid 20s. Aquaman: Late 30s. I think you can totally use the age of Dick and Wally to figure out how old Garth should be and use that to figure out Aquaman's age. I don't see a reason to remove Garth from Dick and Wally's generation even if he's not as popular, he's still a classic Titan with tons of fun and interesting comic content that could totally be used in film to make Garth more popular, it wouldn't be the first time adaptations took an unpopular comic character and made them popular. Garth always seemed to be the youngest of the classic Titans to me, so if Dick and Wally are in their early to mid 20s, Garth would probably be in his Early 20s. However, it's also part of his story that he is aged up in the story where he becomes Tempest, so they'd probably cast someone in his mid 20s assuming Aqualad is already Tempest which makes the most sense to me. Similar to Barry, it makes sense Aquaman would be about 15 to 20 years older than Garth, so I'd say he'd probably be in his late 30s at the earliest. Martian Manhunter: Late 40s. Martian Manhunter is canonically over 200 years old, so it makes sense to have the actor be the oldest of the 7 (well besides Hal I guess but I didn't want him to be too old). It also makes sense to cast an older actor considering his role on the team. Green Arrow: Late 30s. I always pictured Roy as being slightly younger than Dick and Wally, so around Early 20s meaning late 30s would make the most sense for Green Arrow based on my 15-20 years older method. Though if his friendship with Hal is kept, Ollie would probably be early 60s Black Canary: Early-Mid 30s. Dinah and Oliver have a 15 year age gap in the Post-Crisis continuity and it was a fact in the comics that Oliver liked younger women. Pretty sure that was changed in the New 52 or Rebirth because they seem to be around the same age, but I think it still works to make Dinah younger than Ollie, I'd say about 5 years makes sense. Though if she's casted based on Hal, probably mid 50s. Booster Gold: Late 40s. I'd prefer him being in his Early 30s, but since the Blue Beetle movie is in the DCU and the director considered a man currently in his late 40s for the role, it makes sense that Booster would be the same age. Blue Beetle: Late 40s. Probably what they're going with in the DCU, though I'd prefer Early 30s. Mister Miracle: Early 30s. There's not really a reason for this, it's more just personal preference, though I could see them going late 40s to make him around the same age as Ted since they're both members of JLI in the comics. Big Barda: Early 30s. Should be around the same age as Mister Miracle. Orion: Early 30s. Both Orion and Scott were born around the same time and traded between New Genesis and Apokolips in a non-aggression pact, so they should be at least close to the same age. Hawkman: Mid 60s. I don't want the Hawkman and Kendra Saunders relationship, it just weakened Kendra's entire character in my opinion to make her attached to Hawkman, Kendra was a very different character from Shiera and she should stay that way meaning giving her either a different love interest or no love interest at all. What I would do is have Carter and Shiera be founding members of the JSA in their mid 40s but are both sent to forward in time into the mid 2010s in their mid 50s. They both stayed heroes until their mid 60s where they retired and allowed Kendra to take up the mantle as the new Hawkgirl and carry on the Hawk legacy. Plastic Man: Early 20s. I think the character himself should be in his early 60s but his powers makes it possible for him to not physically age, so I imagine he'd still look like he's a young adult. Elongated Man: Mid 30s. Just makes the most sense for me, letting him and Sue be together for about a decade and he could probably be Elongated Man for about that amount of time as well. Vixen: Mid 20s. I don't really have a reason, just think it works with everyone else's age and lets her be a model for around half a decade. Swamp Thing: Late 40s. If the film is supposed to be the origin for Swamp Thing I'd probably go Early 30s, but since the film is reportedly taking inspiration from Saga of the Swamp Thing which, while it did cover the creation of Swamp Thing, it was very much a series taking place after Swamp Thing has been around for a while and I like the idea Swamp Thing being around for a long time in the DCU. Red Tornado: Mid 30s. It doesn't really matter too much, just personal preference. Zatanna: Late 20s. Again, more personal preference. John Constantine: Early to Mid 40s. Also just personal preference. Captain Atom: Early 30s. Personal preference. The Atom (Ray Palmer): Mid 30s. Personal preference.
9:30 small correction, J'onn is 6'7", not 7'5". So a 6'7" actor could have the potentiality to play him. But I think they might go with a Drax situation where it's practical makeup and for J'onn, he could just be maybe like, the same height as Superman (6'4")
Batman: Brandon Sklenar Wonder Woman: May Calamawy Flash(Barry): George MacKay Constantine: Paul Mescal Zatanna: Hailee Steinfeld Captain Atom: Chris Pratt Mister Miracle: Penn Badgley Big Barda: Elizabeth Debicki
You do realize that for wally west, an actor with say blonde hair could... Wait for it... DYE their hair!! (Joking aside loved the video, i found myself surprised at how much i loved that Sam Witwer batman shout!)
13:40 At this point I wouldn't be surprised if James managed to bag Ryan as Booster Gold since he had no problem casting Vin diesel as a talking tree or even Sylvester Stallone as a talking Shark

My top choice for Batman will always be Ethan Peck for many reasons: - He is 38 years old but he will be rightly 40 years old in 2025 - 1.85 m as height which can work perfectly for both Bruce Wayne and Batman - He is the Nephew of the actor Gregory Peck the original inspiration for Bruce Wayne and ,surprisingly, they look very similar - Has already experience in roles that can be considered screen tests for the character like Spock in Star Trek Discovery and Star Trek: strange new world and just listen to that voice: he has already a deep and powerful voice without any effect that can be a game changer for the character - He is a friend/in good relations with David Corenswet so it would something already natural for them to go along with time - He is an actor known but not that known to be someone bigger than the character and he could shine it/show he has everything to be the top choice for me
He’s quite literally the dream ideal pick, it’s like he was born for the role. It absolutely should be Ethan imo. He checks every possible box, and isn’t a boring lazy uninspired regular fancast

My pick for the rest of dcu casting Tom bateman as batman, adria arjona as wonderwoman, garret hedlund as green arrow , sam weaving as black canary ,kyle allen as barry allen , alexander ludwig as aquaman, sterling kbrown as martian manhunter ,john cho as atom, ben schwartz as plastic man, theo james as etrigan,
Sklenar for Batman
5:52 can we also give her accurate eye color as well? Whoever plays her meds to have either blue eyes or wear blue contacts
That random scientist Jack Quaid played was Richard Feynman. One of the greatest physicists ever lol.
6:05 “it’s time for Wally to get some spotlight” personally I’ve NEVER understood your reasoning for having Wally over Barry when we didn’t get a GOOD Barry Allen first, give us a GOOD Barry before they EVER do anything with Wally just saying…
Grant Gustin was a great Barry
@@Isaacisaperson4677I agree Barry has been somewhat overused but I respectfully disagree that his stories have been overdone Flashpoint is the only story that's been run to the ground and only one of them was any good(The Flashpoint Paradox animated movie)the show and the DCAMU didnt put much effort in adapting his stories and when they did it was handled poorly so its understandable that fans would want to see him get done consistently right but I also respect and agree to the fact it's high time Wally gets his due and it's not like Barry's gonna stay dead
Solid castings my dude! Personally I just want to see either one of these 2 founding members for the dcu justice league:
Alex Ross’s og 7 justice league or DCAU justice league
Dude, these castings are phenomenal. Major pops to you for sticking with comic accuracy. Sam Witwer as Batman is something I hadn't thought of but would be absolutely amazing. And Charles Parnell would be perfect as Martian Manhunter. Jon Jones is one of my all time favorite characters and the only casting that has gotten him right imo, was Pil Morris in Smallville.
Please make a video
What if the Arrowverse had full character rights from the beginning?
fan casting with a casting call is genius
Alexander Ludwig looks like a fantastic green arrow actually
Sam Witwer would DEFINITELY be a good Batman. He's so good at understanding characters. He could also bring a lot of emotional expression to a usually stoic face.
I don't see it. Sklenar should be Batman.
@@FriendlyBatDoomnah he’s clapped
I think Ethan Peck should be Batman. He has the voice, the OG look of Bruce (his grandfather inspired Bruce’s look), and he’s also in the age range
Sam Witwer would cook as Batman, but I'm afraid he could be a Henry Cavill type where his nerd cred plays against studio suits.
@@gabebartlett9680 Ethan Peck works too, that voice is too good, but maybe wouldn't work for Bruce.
Do it now for the villains!
Leaved a like for the Shayne Topp suggestion for booster gold
So I actually fit the mold for Wally west almost perfectly aside from age Im 17 can someone help me try and get ahold of James Gunn or one of the casting directors please? I would love to get a chance at auditioning for my favorite dc character 🙏
Sam Witwer would fucking knock it out of the park and as a lifelong nerd he would definitely do the source material justice
I actually think Alan Ritchson would be a perfect aquaman, he played him before but he could really pull of that badass version while still having some comedic chops
Are you make a Video about superman and lois season 4?
Here's my hopes for the ages of some of the un-casted Justice League members mentioned in the video based on how old the actors would be now:
Batman: Mid 30s.
And if they want to go the route of Wonder Woman not aging then casting a younger actress will make it easier for them to make it seem like she's not aging
Flash (Barry Allen): Early 40s.
Though if his friendship with Hal is kept, Ollie would probably be early 60s
Black Canary: Early-Mid 30s.
I love Jensen Ackles as Batman and appreciate you at least mentioning him 🙏
Batman: Brandon Sklenar
Wonder Woman: May Calamawy
Flash(Barry): George MacKay
Constantine: Paul Mescal
Zatanna: Hailee Steinfeld
Captain Atom: Chris Pratt
Mister Miracle: Penn Badgley
Big Barda: Elizabeth Debicki
Sklenar as a Batman 👍👍👍👍Love this
No , flash : grant gustin. Constantine: matt ryan
@@鄧焯文 i love them both but they had their time. let’s get some new faces
goated casting
They already said they wanted Batman to be in his early 30s
I know that , I also know that James Gunn said that Batman is couple years older then superman
They never said that.
@@InvaderJoker he specifically says Batman will be a few years older then Superman who is 32.
Well Done
Would Javicia Leslie make a good Vixen for DCU?
Are you doing a video on Superman and lois season 4?
You do realize that for wally west, an actor with say blonde hair could... Wait for it... DYE their hair!!
(Joking aside loved the video, i found myself surprised at how much i loved that Sam Witwer batman shout!)
13:40 At this point I wouldn't be surprised if James managed to bag Ryan as Booster Gold since he had no problem casting Vin diesel as a talking tree or even Sylvester Stallone as a talking Shark
Shayne Topp as Booster Gold is perfect casting
Why does it seem more and more likely as time has gone on that Wally West is going to be The Flash in The DCU?
Saw a convincing art concept post with Glen Powell as Booster Gold and Ben Swartz as Plastic Man.
I LOVE YOUR BOOSTER GOLD CASTING
The king of DCU content
My personal definitive Justice League members fancast mixed with official actors were already casting in the DCU. Here's what the majority of y’all think for each one... 22:31
David Corenswet as Superman (Clark Kent)
- Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Batman (Bruce Wayne)
- Elli Avrram as Wonder Woman
- Mark Rowley as Aquaman (Arthur Curry)
- Ryan Destiny as Black Canary (Dinah Lance)
- Logan Lerman as The Flash (Barry Allen)
- Aaron Pierre as Green Lantern (John Stewart)
- Abubakar Salim as Martian Manhunter
- Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl (Kendra Saunders)
- Xolo Maridueña as Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes)
Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre are now officially Green Lanterns
I’ve always seen Alan Ritchson as more of a golden age Wildcat rather than as Batman. Hopefully we get a JSA movie or series within the DCU sometime in the future.
Who would cast for Firestorm Jason Rush , Ronny Raymond, Professor Stein?
I don't know how I've never thought of Patrick J Adams for Barry but i would definitely love that cast
Just letting you know buddy, you should say “I’m not a racist, I just want the characters to be accurate to their source material and the plan that James Gunn is going for”. Just giving you a heads up before sensitive snowflakes or your fans start outing you.
That's fine and all, then he shouldn't be bringing up names like Nathalie Emmanuel and Ella Balinska, two light skinned biracials for Vixen who is a darkskin black woman. And saying recommending Aaron Taylor for Katar Hol who is Native American in the comics
@@BruceWayne-hr7vm yea exactly, there was an unbalanced emphasis on characters needing to be white, without much reasoning, but not much thought when it came to other skin colours/backgrounds. funniest part is no one even critiqued it until this comment about imaginary snowflakes
I never even considered Sam Witwer that’s actually perfect
Nah arron pierre just got cast as john stewart and hes 30 seems like its only hal cuz he wont be the main green lantern which makes sense
19:46 Jenna Ortega is too old to played Raven?
She is 22 years old.
That could work if she's supposed to contemporary with Dick and Wally
I agree with almost all of these. Some really great choices in here (Shayne Topp as Booster is an out there and somehow amazing choice)
My top choice for Batman will always be Ethan Peck for many reasons:
- He is 38 years old but he will be rightly 40 years old in 2025
- 1.85 m as height which can work perfectly for both Bruce Wayne and Batman
- He is the Nephew of the actor Gregory Peck the original inspiration for Bruce Wayne and ,surprisingly, they look very similar
- Has already experience in roles that can be considered screen tests for the character like Spock in Star Trek Discovery and Star Trek: strange new world and just listen to that voice: he has already a deep and powerful voice without any effect that can be a game changer for the character
- He is a friend/in good relations with David Corenswet so it would something already natural for them to go along with time
- He is an actor known but not that known to be someone bigger than the character and he could shine it/show he has everything to be the top choice for me
He’s quite literally the dream ideal pick, it’s like he was born for the role. It absolutely should be Ethan imo. He checks every possible box, and isn’t a boring lazy uninspired regular fancast
He’s actually the grandson of Gregory Peck.
I was just watching The Walking Dead, and thinking that Matt Lintz would make a good Wally West. So I was excited to see he is your pick as well! Really hoping we get Wally in the DCU!
I hope someone shows this to Gunn. This casting is excellent.
13:52 man Shayne as Booster Gold would be so funny I wish they would do it seriously lol
